Pleasure to meet you, the name is Dhevix (or else 'Dhe', if you'd rather...). I was referred here by my old friend fates_puppet13 with a request to join your RPing community.

I'm female, not that that ought to matter and shall be 18 in... oh, would you look at that, a month. Tehe. Living in England, tally-ho and whatnot
Whist I was fairly avid in text-based RPs for...more years than I can count I've done nothing but a little creative writing in somewhere around a year now, give-or-take. I suppose I'll be a little...rusty. Or more so terrible. Supposedly my writing style is fairly distinctive, perhaps we shall see if I'm still any good

Just take a look around the writing section to see how we do things here. When you get your app together, your reviewer will (constructively!) critique you, if need be. Everybody's new around here so you'll definitely have a good time with HD.

You're more than welcome to stop by our chatroom "mangaden" on AIM and get familiarized with everybody.
 
That's nice advice, thank you Kechapoo and Wayne for the warm welcome. I suspect there will be plenty of criticisms to make by this point with my writing how it'll be after such a break. My grammar's always been fairly iffy, to boot.

Unless I am misinformed, or have otherwise misunderstood him, my friend tells me you use the 'literate, semi-literate, illiterate' system? I will make it known now that I've never personally found that a very... accurate measure of a writer's skill, and dislike it greatly; but I think I'll be able to cooperate with you all... just about ;) haha :)

I've been a tad roped in but I am always up for a decent/fairly active RP, however I'll be heading out on a little holiday with my boyfriend on Saturday... so if I'm a little delayed becoming active for a couple of days I haven't disappeared, Fate. Merely making my presence known here first, sizing up the sort of community you've got here; you all seem like nice people, which is all I care about in a forum to be perfectly honest!

Literate, semi-, illiterate? I do know that part of why we do weekly grading of writing is to help develop skills as a writer, but I'm not familiar with the system you've described. As for being rusty, I was in a similar situation when I joined HD; the community is quite welcoming.

Normally this is the part of me welcoming someone where I shill my division, Sev yells at me for shilling divisions, and then he shills humans. In the interest of cutting that entire process short, I'm just going to encourage you to stick around. I've seen a good number of people introduce themselves and disappear, and hope to not count you among them one day. ^.^


In any case, welcome. Hope to see you around AIM and the RP sometime soon!
