Made this one on my own and tried to make it specific to HD. Like the last one these are character questions. S'a little ... cornier than the last. Meh...

Didn't know whether or not to put this in the last thread or give it its own ... so I gave it its own...

David Graves- Fourth Divison.

Do you remember the moment you became aware of your spiritual powers? If so, describe the experience. If not, what changed about your life afterwards?

I was told by Michi, she dragged me down to the academy to enroll almost immediately after.

If you could be stripped of your spiritual powers and live a normal life, would you? Why? If you were forcibly stripped of your powers, how would you react and what would you do?
I can't really say my life would be for better or worse. Having power means that I can't defend myself, however it also makes me a target.

How would you describe your life before joining your current organization? Is it better or worse than before?

Being a doctor definately beats having to do odd jobs all over the first thirty districts. Life was...acceptable, but slightly desprate.

What did you want to be when you grew up? Would you change your profession if you could? If yes, why?
when I became part of the soul society? I didn't have many aspirations. I'm happy being a doctor at the moment

If a Shinigami, describe your overall experience in your time at the Spiritual Arts Academy. In which areas of Zankensoki did you excel and struggle in? If an Advent Human, describe your feelings on your inception and early tenure with your organization.
It..it was....*has a mild panic attack*

Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities? If any, list those who you give credit to for your abilities.
I learned mostly from Hazo, he took care of me. A fine man and a good teacher.

Why did you choose your current division/organization? Were there any other divisions/organizations you were considering enlisting into?
I was lucky to get offered for anything...although I'm glad I was chosen. I mean...Can I start over?
Why not?
What do mean policy?
...Ok

Describe your feelings on your organization leader. If a captain or an organization leader, describe your feelings on your subordinates.
The renown of the captains speaks for itself. I've never met Captain Matsumara, it makes me feel kind of distant...He's not going to read this is he?

Describe your feelings on your division/organization and your colleagues.
everyone seems very different, but they all have something in common. They'll help in any way they can...that came out wrong. No don't put that down!

Have you ever been reprimanded by your division/organization leader? How lenient were they? DId you deserve it?
I might be after this now, мудак (asshole). what? no there is no need for a translater... no, please don't!

What do you feel is required of you with your occupation? Is it fair? If at all, in what areas are you lacking in?
I need to heal people: medically, physically, boichemically, it does not matter. The skills are extreamly useful.

How seriously do you take your occupation as compared to others?

It is my livelyhood, my reputation, my passion, and for 10 hours a day an 6 days a week it is my life.

What goal do you most want to accomplish in your career? Are you on track to complete that goal?
To not screw up, Maybe make the world a better place as a result.

What does ranking mean to you? Are you under- or over-qualified for your current rank? Do you have any ambitions towards a higher ranking? If a captain or organization leader, why did you seek out your current status?
I'm not really sure, I don't feel I deserve anything nor that I've reached my maximum potential

Do you feel comfortable in your current division/organization? Is there another division/organization in which your abilities would be utilized more fully? If you have transferred divisions/organizations voluntarily, what was your reasoning for transferring?
I feel comfortable in it. At the moment I'm still a stem cell in the body of the gotei...really need to take that chiyudo classs

Who is your closest colleague? Why? What are their strengths? What are their weaknesses?

Michi Hatakeda of Twelth.
We've known each other for years, even lived together.
her strengths? She's got a firey personality, very friendly and very passionate about trying to do the right thing.
Uuuum, she's got a bit of a short fuse....

Is there anyone you are eager to meet that you haven’t yet? Why?
I guess I would like to meet one of the captains, I'm sure they have equally if not more interesting stories as the seated officers I've encountered and met

Who has made a lasting first impression on you?
Probably Stephanie Spills, we didn't really see eye to eye when we first met but it was memorable...certainly memorable.

In respect to the tasks of your occupation, do you prefer to work as a part of a team or on your own? Why?
I almost always work as part of a team. I'm hardly a terrific fighter, and healing one's self isn't exactly practical...or easy... or comfortale.

If a Shinigami, which do you prefer: Seireitei or the Rukongai? If an Advent Human or Vizard, do you like Tokyo or Japan in general?
The Seireitei, there are so many beautiful things to be seen.

What are your favorite activities when off-duty?
Siteseeing, reading, music.

If a Shinigami, how do you feel about the shihakusho? Does it fit your fashion sense? If an Advent Human or Vizard, do you maintain a professional appearance when on-duty?
I like it, however I do feel it needs a little colour.

What do you like about your occupation? What do you dislike about it? Is it ethical?
I love my job! What sort of silly question is that?

If a Shinigami, what does the nature of your Zanpakutou say about you? If an Advent Human, what does your Awakening say about you? If a Vizard, describe your experience when taming your inner Hollow.
I would rather people make their own judgements...

What is the most evil thing you have ever done?
stop, stop. stop... stop! *panic attack*

What is the most selfless thing you have ever done?
If i gloated about such things they would cease to be selfless acts

Who has had the most influence on you? Did they change you as a person in any way?
Um....well I....huh *blushes beet red*
Wait no i have an ans-

Do you have any rivalries? If yes, how did your rivalry begin? If not, is there anyone whom you are striving to surpass? Why?
I just want to help people, surpassing someone doesn't really help me accomplish that now does it?

What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?

No! Just no! I'm not even going to try to answer these anymore!
No, leave it!
I'm not answering!
just go onto the next question сволота (you bastard)!

How do you feel about fighting? When faced with a potential enemy, how long will you explore diplomacy before action?
Fighting is a nessacery evil, but the best fight is one avoided so therefore diplomacy must be hopeless before one should engauge in combat.

Have you ever killed before? If yes, describe the experience and your feelings. If no, how do you feel about killing?
Sometimes people have to be killed, but that isn't for me to decide, thats why we have the Central Forty-Six to decide such matters.

When was the time you were the most frightened? Has your life ever been in danger? If so, what crossed your mind at that moment? Which was the most powerful?
Stop it!
Just stop it!
I said I'm not answering these questions!
What do you mean the door is locked?!
Unlock it!
Я сказав, відкрити прокляту двері траханий! (unlock the goddamn fucking door!)
No, I'm not coming back!

If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be? Why?
-Answer was not recorded-

What is the one thing for which you would most like to be remembered of you after your death?
-Answer was not recorded-

-It has come to our attention that subject: David Graves, has yet to recover from a traumatic experience. We would like to formally apologize for asking such personal questions and that future interviews will not ask about said experiences-

Another interview? Yeah, sure! Anything for Seireitei Communication magazine. That is who you are, right?"

Do you remember the moment you became aware of your spiritual powers? If so, describe the experience. If not, what changed about your life afterwards?
Lessee... it was probably when I was defending one of the customers at the Amber Teahouse. Though I'd kinda figured that there was something strange going on... There's not much to tell, really. A nutjob tried to hurt people I cared about, and I fought back.

If you could be stripped of your spiritual powers and live a normal life, would you? Why? If you were forcibly stripped of your powers, how would you react and what would you do?
If I could choose when to do it, maybe. I certainly wouldn't want to do it today, but someday... I don't know. I'd probably like to retire one day.

How would you describe your life before joining your current organization? Is it better or worse than before?
Before the Tenth or before becoming a shinigami? Eighth and Tenth... eh, it was a lateral move. My life hasn't changed much. As for being a tea hostess and a shinigami, it really is apples and oranges, as they say. I think I'm a better person now, though.

What did you want to be when you grew up? Would you change your profession if you could? If yes, why?
A philosopher, actually. And no, I wouldn't drop everything and become a philosopher now. The living world was a mess when I was alive, and I can't really help it anymore. As for being a philosopher in Soul Society, I tried it once. Surprisingly, it wasn't quite profitable.

If a Shinigami, describe your overall experience in your time at the Spiritual Arts Academy. In which areas of Zankensoki did you excel and struggle in?
I was pretty unspectacular, actually. I mean, I wasn't even good at certain things particularly. I've always sucked as an unarmed hand-to-hand fighter, though. Even now, I'm no good at it.

Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities? If any, list those who you give credit to for your abilities.
I stumbled on a lot of what I'm capable off myself ... shut up Lashiel ... but I was taught Kenkyouka by Tabwara Udo when I first joined the Eighth and learned how to use kidou more efficiently from Captain Maikeru. Beyond that, I'm pretty self-styled.

Why did you choose your current division/organization? Were there any other divisions/organizations you were considering enlisting into?
I took an aptitude test that told me I was a prefect fit for Arcane Specialists, but I decided to join the Eighth to learn how to combine kidou and sword-skills. Once I learned how to do that, I had a few personal conflicts and so transferred to the Mystics where I am now. I'm here because I like working with Captain Maikeru, and... you know, I just sort of fit in.

Describe your feelings on your organization leader. If a captain or an organization leader, describe your feelings on your subordinates.
Ehehehehe... our first meeting was awesome. But beyond that, she trusts me, and I trust her. She's graceful and elegant in a way I'm not sure I could ever be.

Describe your feelings on your division/organization and your colleagues.
I don't know them so well yet, but I'm trying. It's a personal goal of mine to know everyone in my division. As for the ones I have met, though, most of them are truly exceptional. I emphasize "most".

Have you ever been reprimanded by your division/organization leader? How lenient were they? Did you deserve it?
I've made my share of mistakes, but I wouldn't classify any of the conversations I've had with my Captains as "reprimands". I probably reprimand myself worse than Captain Anenokoji or Captain Maikeru ever has.

What do you feel is required of you with your occupation? Is it fair? If at all, in what areas are you lacking in?I don't really know, to be honest. Sure, there's the stuff on paper, but I don't think the job description is much different. I honestly am not sure I'm a good shinigami, but I also don't think I'm a bad one.

How seriously do you take your occupation as compared to others?
Way. Less. Seriously.

What goal do you most want to accomplish in your career? Are you on track to complete that goal?
I want to protect the people I care about. Since all of them are alive, it looks like I haven't screwed up too badly yet.

What does ranking mean to you? Are you under- or over-qualified for your current rank? Do you have any ambitions towards a higher ranking? If a captain or organization leader, why did you seek out your current status?
Sweet Sappho am I under qualified. But I try my best anyway, and don't think I've let Captain Maikeru down. As for ambition... well, I always strive to do my best, and I'd like to be Vice-Captain one day...

Do you feel comfortable in your current division/organization? Is there another division/organization in which your abilities would be utilized more fully? If you have transferred divisions/organizations voluntarily, what was your reasoning for transferring?
I'm proud to bring the abilities of a spellsword to the Mystics of the Divine. I honestly transferred here because Captain Maikeru and I really hit it off when I trained with her.

Who is your closest colleague? Why? What are their strengths? What are their weaknesses?
Closest? I guess it would be Kamenashi Yuurei, though we haven't been in combat together often, I have a pretty good understanding of her.

Is there anyone you are eager to meet that you haven’t yet? Why?
Anyone I'm eager to meet that I haven't...? Not really.

Who has made a lasting first impression on you?
Lucas. Lucas Morrison. It wasn't a good one, but lasting? You bet your ass.

In respect to the tasks of your occupation, do you prefer to work as a part of a team or on your own? Why?
Both are fine for me. I've worked with some great teams in the past year, but I've done a few missions solo too. I'm fairly flexible in that regard.

If a Shinigami, which do you prefer: Seireitei or the Rukongai?
Seireitei is part of Rukongai. That's like asking if I love London or England; its a distinction without a difference to me. I just wish others saw it that way.

What are your favorite activities when off-duty?
Brooke.

If a Shinigami, how do you feel about the shihakusho? Does it fit your fashion sense?
It's beyond drab and boring and enters a whole new level of awful. And it doesn't help that I've been told that the lower layer is supposed to serve as underwear, but it just seems like another layer of regular clothing to me. I've seen what they wear on Earth now - I have to admit I'm jealous.

What do you like about your occupation? What do you dislike about it? Is it ethical?
Man is that a can of worms. I guess the most politically correct thing to say would be that some of what we do is a necessary evil... I'm not sure I believe that, though.

If a Shinigami, what does the nature of your Zanpakutou say about you?
Nothing. It says nothing about me. Lashiel manifests behind where Adelaide is sitting.Adelaide is trying her hardest, adorable child that she is, to deny the lustful wanting person in her. Which is cute. She's like a barely controlled ball of sex and desire that's bubbling against its restraints. I think what I say about her is plainly apparent. She has such wonderful seductive potential. It's a shame its wasted on... monogamy.

What is the most evil thing you have ever done?
I took a life once. I don't think I ever will forgive myself.

What is the most selfless thing you have ever done?
... Brooke ...
Seriously, though, it probably was just becoming a shinigami.

Who has had the most influence on you? Did they change you as a person in any way?
The answer to this one really is Brooke. I had already grown up a lot after being a shinigami, but I hadn't really... let me put it this way: before Brooke I didn't have a reason to push to become a better person.

Do you have any rivalries? If yes, how did your rivalry begin? If not, is there anyone whom you are striving to surpass? Why?
Lucas Morrison. And that's all I have to say about that.

What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?
Probably dying, to be honest. It changed everything: absolutely everything.

How do you feel about fighting? When faced with a potential enemy, how long will you explore diplomacy before action?
I will explore diplomacy until the last second possible. I don't want to end a life, not if it can be avoided. Once I, or someone I have to protect, once there's immediate danger the time is up on talking my way out of the situation, but if I can defuse a problem with words, that's the best way.

Have you ever killed before? If yes, describe the experience and your feelings. If no, how do you feel about killing?
Yeah. The Palace of Westminster was on fire. I got out before it was burned down, but I joined a group of men trying to put the fire out. I did, probably because of all the smoke in my lungs I imagine. So, to answer your question, I stupidly killed myself. Other than that... I made a mistake once. Can we not discuss that?

When was the time you were the most frightened? Has your life ever been in danger? If so, what crossed your mind at that moment? Which was the most powerful?
I've been in danger, and I've been scared, but I used that fear. It wasn't fright, so much as determined to survive. I didn't want to kill her, but I did what I had to... can we talk about something else?

If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be? Why?
Nothing. I am who I am because of where I've been. It wasn't all good, but it was my life.

What is the one thing for which you would most like to be remembered of you after your death?
I'm not sure I would be. In fact, I rather doubt it.

Answering with less funsies for better insight into Arano and how he came to be one of the power players of the RP.

1) Do you remember the moment you became aware of your spiritual powers? If so, describe the experience. If not, what changed about your life afterwards?
I was six...or eight...the memories are always hazy. Maybe I always had them, and they never wanted me to know it. Maybe I discovered them in one of the few sessions I wasn't held prisoner. It's hard to say. I remember the black shroud, the mask that haunted my nightmares for years to come. Maybe that's why I came to call them what they were to me...Nightmares.

2) If you could be stripped of your spiritual powers and live a normal life, would you? Why? If you were forcibly stripped of your powers, how would you react and what would you do?
I still remember it. It's like ripping off your own fingers, one by one. When that man stole my power, stole a very portion of my soul, it felt less like loss and more like having to say goodbye to someone you had known all your life.

3) How would you describe your life before joining your current organization? Is it better or worse than before?
For better or worse, Cerberus is as much a part of me as I am of it. Chimera found its roots in it, I found the beginning of my grasp on the spiritual in it. Maybe I'm worse off for it morally, but that was my own decision, not Cerberus'.

4) What did you want to be when you grew up? Would you change your profession if you could? If yes, why?
When I grew up...? I...never got to choose. It was never my decision, nothing was. Now? I...I wouldn't mind being a musician. Setting your own hours, working off your own inspirations and experiences...true freedom, I guess.

5) If a Shinigami, describe your overall experience in your time at the Spiritual Arts Academy. In which areas of Zankensoki did you excel and struggle in? If an Advent Human, describe your feelings on your inception and early tenure with your organization.
Though the Hollows no longer haunt my dreams, I still wake up shaking at the memories of my early days in Independent Contracting. Imagine a place where your feelings, your misgivings, all of it is irrelevant in the face of the mission. The mission being that someone, somewhere, has to die. For what's sake, you don't know, but they have to die either way.

6) Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities? If any, list those who you give credit to for your abilities.
My abilities...? They are my own, at least now they are. Once upon a time, I mutilated my body with the experimentation forced upon me by Chimera, but now? Now I am one with the shadow's, the same dark place that all corruption thinks it can hide. Now I live in it, and I don't like guests.

7) Why did you choose your current division/organization? Were there any other divisions/organizations you were considering enlisting into?
Between the school that treated me like a fourth-grade idiot, the trigger-happy gunslingers who shoved their ideals of justice at you whenever given the chance, and the morally gray professionally organized and internationally funded business? Seemed a pretty obvious choice at the time.

8) Describe your feelings on your organization leader. If a captain or an organization leader, describe your feelings on your subordinates.
I...don't know at this point. Having been at the top, I won't say I envy him. All that planning, that manipulating, that coordinating...I don't know if it's for his sake or the Corporation's anymore. I don't know if it's his volition or his obligation, and that's what scares me. That I'm beginning to accept Ciro's habits and tendencies as commonplace alone makes me question what my time as Chairman did to me.

9) Describe your feelings on your division/organization and your colleagues.
Cerberus: My favorite shithole. No place has ever steeped itself so much in corruption, then dragged itself out. I complain and I criticize, but something about this place...it draws you in. I can't say I'd be anywhere else, if only because this place truly feels like home now.

10) Have you ever been reprimanded by your division/organization leader? How lenient were they? DId you deserve it?
Heh. Hahaha. Ahahahahahahaha. If only you knew, if only you knew.

11) What do you feel is required of you with your occupation? Is it fair? If at all, in what areas are you lacking in?
Oh man, this is a tough one. Required? Honestly, I haven't the slightest clue. I do basically what I've always done: take care of the loose ends Ciro can't be bothered to, and I hunt down and destroy anybody that tries to step in on Cerberus territory. It's not hard, and it's pretty straight-forward when you don't have to deal with cryptic bullshit...which is fairly often.

12) How seriously do you take your occupation as compared to others?
Oh man, hard to say. Once upon a time, it was the only thing that mattered. Another time, I abandoned it entirely for a personal vendetta. Now? Hell, I don't know. I don't think any of us know.

13) What goal do you most want to accomplish in your career? Are you on track to complete that goal?
Been there, done that, tried everything, sucked at some of it. Right where I am now? I'm good.

14) What does ranking mean to you? Are you under- or over-qualified for your current rank? Do you have any ambitions towards a higher ranking? If a captain or organization leader, why did you seek out your current status?
Rank? I'll tell you what a rank is. A rank is a number, a letter, a title, a sequence. It's whatever some pompous, hoity-toity asshat decides he wants his arbitrarily class-based system to be based out of. It's a crutch to lean on, a wall to hide behind, and the day I yield to 'rank' is the day I swallow my eye-patch.

15) Do you feel comfortable in your current division/organization? Is there another division/organization in which your abilities would be utilized more fully? If you have transferred divisions/organizations voluntarily, what was your reasoning for transferring?
If I built my life on what-if's, there'd be too much to talk about. Am I comfortable in Cerberus? No, and I don't ever expect to. If you do, that's probably a bad thing, and you should stop that.

16) Who is your closest colleague? Why? What are their strengths? What are their weaknesses?
Ugh. This is a question I hate to answer, but Ciro. No matter how hard I try, how much I hate to admit it, he's everywhere my own interests are, and that involves me with him. By now? We've fought so many horrors, so many monstrosities greater than him or me...hell, I guess he's the only other person I trust in this world to get shit done.

Strengths? Same as always. Memetic manipulation combined with a ruthless streak rolled into a ball of super-strength and the ability to create anything he damn-well wants to.

Weaknesses? Arrogant to a fault, loves to underestimate others.

17) Is there anyone you are eager to meet that you haven’t yet? Why?
If I don't know them, how can I be eager to meet them?

18) Who has made a lasting first impression on you?
...Sayis Inuzuri. I don't feel like I should have to go into details, but any man that can size you up at a single glance and deconstruct every little thing you've said or done...It doesn't sit well...

19) In respect to the tasks of your occupation, do you prefer to work as a part of a team or on your own? Why?
On my own. Why? Because people are dumb. People make mistakes, mistakes I can blame them for. Me? I make plenty of mistakes, but then I'm not blaming someone else for my fuck-up, now am I?

20) If a Shinigami, which do you prefer: Seireitei or the Rukongai? If an Advent Human or Vizard, do you like Tokyo or Japan in general?
What kind of shitty question is that? So much crap happens in Tokyo that it's almost perpetually on fire, yet every other square inch of this country seems to hide some sort of dark, hidden past or a local lightning-breathing all-powerful monster.

21) What are your favorite activities when off-duty?
Oh man, with my job? Sleeping. So much sleeping. All the time. When I can manage it, I try to get the old gang back together. Mouko and Natsumi...we've all lost so much by now. Most of the time meeting up just feels like we're trying to remember the ones' we've already lost.

22) If a Shinigami, how do you feel about the shihakusho? Does it fit your fashion sense? If an Advent Human or Vizard, do you maintain a professional appearance when on-duty?
I don't maintain a professional appearance at all! When you've suffered as much battle damage as I have, your capacity for giving a fuck tends to go out the window.

23) What do you like about your occupation? What do you dislike about it? Is it ethical?
I like the hours, the pay, and the benefits. I dislike the working conditions, disregard of proper protocol, and the paperwork. Also, human experimentation...yeah.

24) If a Shinigami, what does the nature of your Zanpakutou say about you? If an Advent Human, what does your Awakening say about you? If a Vizard, describe your experience when taming your inner Hollow.
Ugh, why do we always have to read so deeply into shit? I can teleport, which is fucking cool. I can control shadows, which is fucking cool. I don't care what it says about me, I just enjoy having cool-ass fucking powers!

25) What is the most evil thing you have ever done?
Uhh...huh. Yeah let me think for a second, this is a genuine toughie...

...Probably snapping my mother's neck while torturing my little sister.

26) What is the most selfless thing you have ever done?
Well if losing an eye to save someone's life isn't selfless...I probably have the wrong definition of it.

27) Who has had the most influence on you? Did they change you as a person in any way?
*sigh*...It's hard to say, really. Just about anyone who manages to challenge my beliefs on something makes a lasting impression. Sayis, Ciro, Ilsa, Mouko...all of them have challenged me in some way or another, and that's influenced me. Has it changed me...? History will decide that.

28) Do you have any rivalries? If yes, how did your rivalry begin? If not, is there anyone whom you are striving to surpass? Why?
I'm not entirely sure when, but somehow this whole "I will fucking kill you" thing between me and Ciro became sorta friendly at some point. Who knew. Also, I think Masato hates me. Just a little bit. Probably the finger thing, and no I won't let him live that down. Was fucking hilarious even if he won't admit it.

29) What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?
When Ciro dragged me into that God-forsaken hell that Tokyo had turned into...too much happened at once. I don't think I could pick any single event out of it, but that whole smear of an event pretty much 180'd my life.

30) How do you feel about fighting? When faced with a potential enemy, how long will you explore diplomacy before action?
Look, I'm not an unreasonable guy. I'm really not. It's just that I'm not patient. So if I want something, and you have that something, and you're not willing to give that something? I will not wait around to ask pretty please with sugar on top. No, I asked for that shit nice once already and if you're going to be a jackass about it I will beat it out of you.

31) Have you ever killed before? If yes, describe the experience and your feelings. If no, how do you feel about killing?
A kill is like ice cream. You can't describe any single one the same, simply because there are too many things that could be different. Me? Killing has this unfortunately easy place in my heart...but yeah, I know. It tends to just...blur all away into this place where I don't have to think about it...until I start thinking about it. That's when it gets bad.

32) When was the time you were the most frightened? Has your life ever been in danger? If so, what crossed your mind at that moment? Which was the most powerful?
Nothing terrified me more than my return to Fukushima, and I do mean nothing. As for danger? My life is always in danger, constantly, all the time. Every day is a fight for survival, whether from shinigami or Hollows or some crazed pschopath high off Cybercell again. Most powerful? Meh, I've never really been in that sort of situation...

...Well, there was this one thing recently. So, say that you and those around you just had a nuclear bomb thrown at you. As the only one capable of removing every single one of those people from the proximity of that nuclear bomb, what do you do? Same thing I did, save them all with one fell swoop. That was pretty cool, if I do say so myself.

33) If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be? Why?
The part where they decided to make me. Don't get me wrong, I'm not opposed to the whole 'living' thing. Proven to be quite worth it so far. Just saying, coming into this world the proper way would've been appreciated.

34) What is the one thing for which you would most like to be remembered of you after your death?
I keep a tally of how many times I've saved Ciro's life. The first line in my will states to reveal that tally in a publicly issued statement. Asshole should know how many times he owes me so he has to pass that onto someone I care about.

Yo!

Do you remember the moment you became aware of your spiritual powers? If so, describe the experience. If not, what changed about your life afterwards?
“I remember it like it was yesterday. I woke up in the middle of the night and felt something in the pit of my stomach. I had absolutely no clue that it was hunger until I heard my stomach grumble real loud. I was just a kid and didn’t know what to do with it until years later. For the most part, life was the same really.”

If you could be stripped of your spiritual powers and live a normal life, would you? Why? If you were forcibly stripped of your powers, how would you react and what would you do?
“A normal life? No powers, no narcissistic Zanpakutou judging my every thought and move, and not having to worry about someone or something trying to kill me?... ... ...sounds nice on paper... ...I suppose it’d depend on what ‘normal’ means... ...but I’m doing what I’ve always wanted so... ...I’d have to say I’d be pissed if I lost it all.”

How would you describe your life before joining your current organization? Is it better or worse than before?
“Before I joined the ‘Courts, I was in a two-week coma and sipping crushed up food through a straw. To be fair though, I’ve been in the Fourth Division’s hospital more than I ever wanted to... ...tough question. I’ll say... ...after.

What did you want to be when you grew up? Would you change your profession if you could? If yes, why?
“I was exposed to the idea of protecting people early on so I’d say, being a Shinigami, I am what I wanted to be and wouldn’t change it for anything.”

If a Shinigami, describe your overall experience in your time at the Spiritual Arts Academy. In which areas of Zankensoki did you excel and struggle in? If an Advent Human, describe your feelings on your inception and early tenure with your organization.
“My time in the academy was ... interesting. Not fun, and not boring. Kidou isn’t and never will be my strong suit.”

Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities? If any, list those who you give credit to for your abilities.
“Azuma-sensei, my main instructor at the academy. Everything I know, I learned from him. Wouldn’t have made it through the academy if not for him. Maybe not even alive.

Why did you choose your current division/organization? Were there any other divisions/organizations you were considering enlisting into?
“Azuma-sensei was real adamant about me serving under Captai... ...Theron Ascania. To be honest, I had no real intention of sticking around after I was done with the academy stuff so I didn’t put any real thought into it. The ‘Heralds weren’t big on Kidou so it was good enough for me.”

Describe your feelings on your organization leader. If a captain or an organization leader, describe your feelings on your subordinates.
“Amaterasu-san is doing well enough in Theron’s stead. Things could be a lot worse. I’d have to give credit for that to her.”

Describe your feelings on your division/organization and your colleagues.
“It’s a division full of bloodthirsty men walking around with Hollow masks on... ...it’s wonderful. Gorou and Amaterasu-san are alright, but the rest?... ...ehhh.”

Have you ever been reprimanded by your division/organization leader? How lenient were they? Did you deserve it?
“More than once. Was she lenient? Yeah. Did I deserve it?... ...possibly.

What do you feel is required of you with your occupation? Is it fair? If at all, in what areas are you lacking in?
“Hard work and no complaints. It’s not always fair, but that’s how it works... ...and it works, so why complain? What the old captain did definitely didn’t make anything easier, but we’re not exactly S.O.L. without him. Where am I lacking?... ...I can’t say I put in as much time in the dojo as I should.”

How seriously do you take your occupation as compared to others?
“Define seriously.

What goal do you most want to accomplish in your career? Are you on track to complete that goal?
“I’d like to see everybody enjoy their lives, find that ‘perfect happiness’. How far along I am with that, I couldn’t really tell you.”

What does ranking mean to you? Are you under- or over-qualified for your current rank? Do you have any ambitions towards a higher ranking? If a captain or organization leader, why did you seek out your current status?
“Shows your worth, shows you know what you’re doing... ...or, in some cases, shows how much ass you’ve kissed. I’m not under-qualified, but I definitely won’t say I’m over-qualified either. As for a higher ranking... ...well, until I feel I am over-qualified for Third Seat---or at least until someone else feels that way---I’ll stick with just that.”

Do you feel comfortable in your current division/organization? Is there another division/organization in which your abilities would be utilized more fully? If you have transferred divisions/organizations voluntarily, what was your reasoning for transferring?
“I don’t see what more I could do. Shinigamis are supposed to protect people from Hollows and that’s exactly what I do. There’s probably more that I could do. Wherever else that’d be, I don’t know.”

Who is your closest colleague? Why? What are their strengths? What are their weaknesses?
“Closest colleague... ...either Amaterasu-san or Gorou. We don’t see eye-to-eye often, but Amaterasu-san is good at what she does. Gorou as well. Their weaknesses?... ...I couldn’t speak for Gorou, but she's... ...a little difficult to deal with at times. Though who’s to blame... ...could be argued.”

Is there anyone you are eager to meet that you haven’t yet? Why?
“Theron Ascania... ...I’ve heard stories, but stories are just that: stories.

Who has made a lasting first impression on you?
“Amaterasu-san, definitely. Anybody who has the balls to speak to someone they’ve never met like that has to be high on anyone's list.”

In respect to the tasks of your occupation, do you prefer to work as a part of a team or on your own? Why?
“Either or. Doesn’t really matter. Actually, if not for Kyuketsu-senpai, I’d have been dead a long time ago. Having someone around definitely doesn’t hurt.”

If a Shinigami, which do you prefer: Seireitei or the Rukongai? If an Advent Human or Vizard, do you like Tokyo or Japan in general?
“Rukon, hands down. Can’t find a good bowl of donburi around here.”

What are your favorite activities when off-duty?
“Eat, sleep, and smoke. Not much else.”

If a Shinigami, how do you feel about the shihakusho? Does it fit your fashion sense? If an Advent Human or Vizard, do you maintain a professional appearance when on-duty?
“Can’t say that I really care. They don’t mind that I don’t wear socks so I can’t complain. Not really big on fashion.”

What do you like about your occupation? What do you dislike about it? Is it ethical?
“I want to protect the people I care about. This job allows me to do that. Can’t say there’s anything unethical about it.”

If a Shinigami, what does the nature of your Zanpakutou say about you? If an Advent Human, what does your Awakening say about you? If a Vizard, describe your experience when taming your inner Hollow.
“My Zanpakutou says that I’m a foul, greedy, and disgusting piece of shit. Still not sure this thing is even mine.”

What is the most evil thing you have ever done?
“I don’t know why, but I felt kinda bad about [Vaardi]. He didn’t deserve it as much as most others did.”

What is the most selfless thing you have ever done?
“Hmm... ...dedicating my life to protecting people who either don’t know me or could probably care less about me.”

Who has had the most influence on you? Did they change you as a person in any way?
“Ijuin Yonezawa. He killed everyone that I knew and loved just to save himself... ...and ever since then, he’s the only thing I can think about. My whole life since then has been about killing him. Helluva influencer.”

Do you have any rivalries? If yes, how did your rivalry begin? If not, is there anyone whom you are striving to surpass? Why?
“I’m not sure how much of a rivalry it is, but I’ve got Amaterasu-san in my sights. Seeing how pissed she was when I was her superior---for the week or so that it lasted---was priceless. Absolutely priceless. It hurt like hell, but there's not a whole lot I wouldn't do to see that look on her face again.”

What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?
“When my father adopted me, he saved me from the violence that would’ve otherwise killed me a long time ago. On top of that, he was a good man. If not for him, I'd probably be dead or a scumbag like the rest of them.”

How do you feel about fighting? When faced with a potential enemy, how long will you explore diplomacy before action?
“I’ve never started a fight myself, but I’ve finished every last one of them. Although, trying to be the bigger man almost got me killed a few times. Diplomacy is becoming more and more a liability than something admirable.”

Have you ever killed before? If yes, describe the experience and your feelings. If no, how do you feel about killing?
Killed?... ...Yes. My friend, Tomoe, was being harassed by some guy. I almost got killed myself trying to do something about it. I don’t remember exactly how it happened. All I remember is that he was dead on the ground and there was a bloody knife in my hands. I was still scared even after he was dead. I don’t know why. I was just... ...scared.

When was the time you were the most frightened? Has your life ever been in danger? If so, what crossed your mind at that moment? Which was the most powerful?
“Fighting an opponent that you know you don’t have any chance of defeating is... ...scary. Having a helluva lot of adrenaline pumping definitely helps. It was kind of peaceful. What crossed my mind were my friends and the thought that I might see them again. Aside from the mind-numbing pain, death isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be, especially when you don't have anything to lose.”

[Bf you could change one thing from your past, what would it be? Why?[/B]
“I’ve always said I wouldn’t take anything back, that it all happens for a reason... ...but that’s a lie. I wish my friends were still here, wish my father were still here. Why? Because I’ve never been happier.”

What is the one thing for which you would most like to be remembered of you after your death?
“Refer to that question about selflessness.

Once again, everyone's favorite trap captain! Haresuno!

Do you remember the moment you became aware of your spiritual powers? If so, describe the experience. If not, what changed about your life afterwards?
I do. I was actually sent to Seireitei without knowing why, and when I got here I simply tested to see if I was allowed in. I barely made it past the entrance exam (read that as by-the-skin-of-my-teeth).

If you could be stripped of your spiritual powers and live a normal life, would you? Why? If you were forcibly stripped of your powers, how would you react and what would you do?
Kind of dealing with something like that already. I'm not completely powerless, and even if I were, there is no way I could just settle back and let others handle it. Oh, sure, I'd struggle unimaginably, but I've done that before and look at me now.

How would you describe your life before joining your current organization? Is it better or worse than before?
My life now is better, mainly because I'm not secluded and surrounded by a bunch of prosecuting villagers.

What did you want to be when you grew up? Would you change your profession if you could? If yes, why?
I didn't make plans for my future before coming to Seireitei. I full well expected to be dead two years ago.

If a Shinigami, describe your overall experience in your time at the Spiritual Arts Academy. In which areas of Zankensoki did you excel and struggle in? If an Advent Human, describe your feelings on your inception and early tenure with your organization.
The Academy for me was fairly routine. I kept to myself and studied dutifully. Though I didn't get very high marks in any of the classes - especially kidou. Believe it or not if I had not taken private lessons would be in an entirely different division. I could have ended up an assassin.

Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities? If any, list those who you give credit to for your abilities.
There was a reason for hardly being seen during my days as Vice-captain for the Tenth. I was often pouring over books where there were little nuggets of skills hidden. Many of my other skills I created, or were simple evolutions of my body to the dangers I threw myself into. However, I still use the Signature of the Tenth for its Izonkankei.

Why did you choose your current division/organization? Were there any other divisions/organizations you were considering enlisting into?
While I was in the Academy, I didn't know where I would end up. I simply picked where I thought I would best fit, and it all worked out in the end. As Captain of the Fifth, however, I have journals filled with notes about different techniques and equations to how they work and how I had planned to model the Fifth. As it is, though, I'm very pleased with it.

Describe your feelings on your organization leader. If a captain or an organization leader, describe your feelings on your subordinates.
They're all doing quite well! My intention for the first handful of weeks was to weed out the weak with my division grounds alone - and that was quite a surprise to see how effective it was. The numbers I have said that almost a good 40% of those who signed on dropped out within those weeks! But those that remain I have a close eye on.

Describe your feelings on your division/organization and your colleagues.
What's not to love about the Fifth? The grounds are a living, breathing, maze filled with traps and a sense of danger. I get goose bumps just thinking about it. As for my colleagues? I know a good number of them through talks alone, but most if not all were business talks so I can't say much for or against them. I did find it a tad disheartening during my Taishuu when the only support I had was my initial voucher which just said, "He gets to go to the morale." I guess that's what I get for being a desk jockey!

Have you ever been reprimanded by your division/organization leader? How lenient were they? Did you deserve it?
Oh, yes, a few times. I can be quite the fool in fights, you see, and it leads me to be ... reckless. As for leniency, I had been punished enough by that time and I had more coming. Thankfully my superior is always the understanding sort.

What do you feel is required of you with your occupation? Is it fair? If at all, in what areas are you lacking in?
Creativity, primarily. I'm expected to lead, but I do so by making sure I can fight others differently. There are a few other details, but they're all fair. And for the final question, I'm lacking people skills.

How seriously do you take your occupation as compared to others?
I'm not sure about now, but I have been known to take it almost to a fanatical level. Not openly, mind you. People already think I'm crazy.

What goal do you most want to accomplish in your career? Are you on track to complete that goal?
Career wise I've hit all my goals and more. It's my life goals that need focusing.

What does ranking mean to you? Are you under- or over-qualified for your current rank? Do you have any ambitions towards a higher ranking? If a captain or organization leader, why did you seek out your current status?
Ranking means a good deal to me, though the person who has the rank must have earned it. I sought out to become a captain because I wanted to give back to Seireitei, which had become my home and family. For better or worse.

Do you feel comfortable in your current division/organization? Is there another division/organization in which your abilities would be utilized more fully? If you have transferred divisions/organizations voluntarily, what was your reasoning for transferring?
If I was not comfortable with the way I set up my division, I wouldn't have bothered setting it up. No. Wait, that's not true. It might have been more fun if I hadn't been so comfortable!

Who is your closest colleague? Why? What are their strengths? What are their weaknesses?
Oh, my, well that would be both the Captain Commander Sayis Inuzuri, and Captain of the Tenth, Lilith Maikeru. I've known those two the longest - save for Iida - and they know different sides of me. Sayis has seen more of my work ethic and the trials I faced as his Vice-captain, and Lilith has seen a friendlier side with worries and troubles as a rival and a friend.

Is there anyone you are eager to meet that you haven’t yet? Why?
Hmm... Well, I've heard a lot about this Raifuku character. I wouldn't mind picking his brain! Oh! And the narrator says something about me expecting to have a daughter.

Who has made a lasting first impression on you?
That would most definitely have to be Lilith.

In respect to the tasks of your occupation, do you prefer to work as a part of a team or on your own? Why?
Either or, really. As a team I can help whomever needs it, as is my vocation, and as a solo worker I only have to worry about myself. Which is actually a full-time job.

If a Shinigami, which do you prefer: Seireitei or the Rukongai? If an Advent Human or Vizard, do you like Tokyo or Japan in general?
Both have their charms, with Rukongai being its surrounding nature, and Seireitei being its pristine structures.

What are your favorite activities when off-duty?
Drinking tea, training, gardening, needlework, and contact juggling.

If a Shinigami, how do you feel about the shihakusho? Does it fit your fashion sense? If an Advent Human or Vizard, do you maintain a professional appearance when on-duty?
How do I feel about the uniform? Fashion sense? I don't know about that but functionally it suits me just fine. I can hide a crowbar in my shitagi! See!

What do you like about your occupation? What do you dislike about it? Is it ethical?
It's challenging and I'm never bored. I don't particularly like people coming about, smashing the rules and laws of heaven and nature, but that's why I exist. As for ethical, I do not understand what you are asking. The alternative is to let the balance of souls run rampant and into chaos with hollows flooding Earth and Soul Society. Is there something unethical about being a shinigami?

If a Shinigami, what does the nature of your Zanpakutou say about you? If an Advent Human, what does your Awakening say about you? If a Vizard, describe your experience when taming your inner Hollow.
I'm cynical, a sadist, proud, strong, and unpredictable. Also I have impeccable teeth.

What is the most evil thing you have ever done?
Evil being morally corrupt and uncaring of results, yes? Personally, I don't think I- oh wait. Sorry, no comment. Don't want the big 4-6 having that little tidbit.

What is the most selfless thing you have ever done?
It's kind of my nature, so there is no 'most' at this point. They all end up at the same point. But if you really need a category, you'll find it under: Tossing Myself In X Attack of Doom.

Who has had the most influence on you? Did they change you as a person in any way?
Another tie with Sayis and Lilith, but this one also gets my fiancee to it. If not for these three people, I would not be the man before you today.

Do you have any rivalries? If yes, how did your rivalry begin? If not, is there anyone whom you are striving to surpass? Why?
Not quite sure if its official with any of the other parties, but I consider anyone I meet and spare with to be a rival in some fashion or another. I'm one of the few people who practice true Zankensouki, so I'm able to duke it out with anyone. It just means I'm not going to be as strong in their specialized school.

What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?

Oh, well this is starting to get more and more tricky. Haha, there's just so many of them that I do not know what to do! Maybe its my joining the Tenth, or any of my promotions, or my trips back home, or the sparring matches, or my incident with Prometheus. Honestly, they're just too numerous and as important.

How do you feel about fighting? When faced with a potential enemy, how long will you explore diplomacy before action?
I have no qualms about it. Diplomacy only lasts as long as they don't throw the first punch - and are not related directly to the death of someone I care about. I can be a bit of an emotional storm if someone I care about dies.

Have you ever killed before? If yes, describe the experience and your feelings. If no, how do you feel about killing?
This is... a very dark turn for this. You're the same guy from last time, right? Sorry, I don't mean to judge or anything, but do you enjoy this? Normal questionnaire and everything, then BAM, toss in a curve ball. Going to the dark side of the moon faster than a '90s Disney movie. Oops, sorry, was that too 4th wall-y?

When was the time you were the most frightened? Has your life ever been in danger? If so, what crossed your mind at that moment? Which was the most powerful?
Danger comes at me plenty of times, and I'm not immune to the fears that come with it. What crosses my mind in those instances is what I expect of any reasonable person: "I don't want to die." But the thing is, its not what crosses your mind right then, but what you do after. Like after I met Prometheus. It was a terrible, terrible situation that I never should have gotten myself into. But afterwards, when I learned that I survived, I used that opportunity to run forward with a newer look on the world.

If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be? Why?
If I could, I would opt out of it. Even with all my mistakes in the past, and my embarrassments, would anyone really care about me the same if I was not comfortable with who I am? So, to answer your question I'd have gotten my cynical behind to Seireitei faster.

What is the one thing for which you would most like to be remembered of you after your death?

If I die in battle, it should be legend worthy and how I left my division - it really shouldn't go anywhere for another 500 years. Not like its former specializations. If I die of old age, then perhaps I will have done something that is worth remembering more than a good life.

Do you remember the moment you became aware of your spiritual powers? If so, describe the experience. If not, what changed about your life afterwards?
Yeah, I was really hungry at the time, and shinigami patrolling the area noticed that I possessed a moderate amount of reiatsu, so they recommended me to join the Academy. And I can say that pretty much my whole life changed afterwards, becoming a shinigami was well worth it; at least this way I can apply myself to a worthy cause instead of getting myself into trouble.

If you could be stripped of your spiritual powers and live a normal life, would you? Why? If you were forcibly stripped of your powers, how would you react and what would you do?
Nope, wouldn't give my soul reaper powers up. I mean come on, when you can slice a god damn tower of a hollow up and move instantaneously and use spells that make your life easier, why would you wanna even consider living a normal life!? And if I was forcibly stripped of them, well I would fight for them back, guns blazing and all 8 |

How would you describe your life before joining your current organization? Is it better or worse than before?
After joining the Gotei, I guess I can say my life has improved, and those who knew me back then can pretty much agree that it has changed me somewhat. Still though, it's still sort of like my time in Rukongai - I always have a knack for finding myself in predicaments no matter what, but hey that's life, right~

What did you want to be when you grew up? Would you change your profession if you could? If yes, why?
Can't really remember, wasn't exactly a succesful kid back when I was alive as a human. And nah, I wouldn't change my job.

If a Shinigami, describe your overall experience in your time at the Spiritual Arts Academy. In which areas of Zankensoki did you excel and struggle in? If an Advent Human, describe your feelings on your inception and early tenure with your organization.
Agility was always my best attribute, outpaced pretty much my whole class, although my swordsmanship wasn't exactly up to par, and they had to give me extra courses on kidou cuz I kept on blowing them up on myself and those around me.

Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities? If any, list those who you give credit to for your abilities.
Ehhh, most of it was through practicing alone, but Tsubaki, Kyuketsu, and the Eleventh have helped me hone my skills.

Why did you choose your current division/organization? Were there any other divisions/organizations you were considering enlisting into?
It was either this or the Twelfth, and well, let's just say tracking and stealth weren't exactly what I enjoyed... plus their leaders had a habit of either sucking at what they did or disappearing altogether. Heard a lot of stories about the Eleventh too, and wanted to check it out for myself only to find that it was more awesome than I thought.

Describe your feelings on your organization leader. If a captain or an organization leader, describe your feelings on your subordinates.
Tsubaki is caring, but most of all a good leader. She's helped the Eleventh grow to what it is today, and she helped straighten me out and help me not get myself killed or branded a traitor to the Gotei 13 for my witty mouth and rebelliousness. Hmm.. she can also sometimes be unpredictable and when she goes all out, it's always enjoyable to watch her kick some ass.

Describe your feelings on your division/organization and your colleagues.
The Blood Templars are awesome. Although I wasn't too keen about the whole idea of wearing armor and whatnot, it grew to me, and it's proven to be useful. My colleagues are great; well for the most part; hope Kenji transfers divisions soon, can't stand that guy.

Have you ever been reprimanded by your division/organization leader? How lenient were they? Did you deserve it?
More times than I can count. Tsubaki was too lenient, in fact she even promoted me to Ninth Seat the last time she had to reprimand me... and nah, of course I didn't deserve it.

What do you feel is required of you with your occupation? Is it fair? If at all, in what areas are you lacking in?
Being more responsible and settling an example for the troops. It's fair; being a third seater requires one to stand as a pillar for their division. I guess the areas that I'm lacking in are my leadership skills, haven't really ever carried out a co-op mission where I acted as the leader.

How seriously do you take your occupation as compared to others?
More or less, seriously although I may not show it, but I can say that other people are more serious than I'd ever be.

What goal do you most want to accomplish in your career? Are you on track to complete that goal?
Just preserving the lives of my comrades and eliminating any threats to the Gotei and the world of the living, so far I have been on track with that.

What does ranking mean to you? Are you under- or over-qualified for your current rank? Do you have any ambitions towards a higher ranking? If a captain or organization leader, why did you seek out your current status?
Ehhh, to be honest, I tend to forget at times that I'm a co-third seater. As to that second question, I can't really say, that's up to you to decide. Ambitions towards a higher ranking, you say? Well, Tsubaki did put my name forth one time to be nominated for taking a taishuu, but I declined the offer... I think it's just too much work. I'd probably never be able to do it, plus I like it here in the Eleventh. I dunno though if the time ever comes, I guess I might consider trying to become a Captain?

Do you feel comfortable in your current division/organization? Is there another division/organization in which your abilities would be utilized more fully? If you have transferred divisions/organizations voluntarily, what was your reasoning for transferring?
Of course, and nah, the Eleventh is where I belong although I guess I can somewhat fit in well with the Arcane Specialists now that I've taken an interest in the demon arts.

Who is your closest colleague? Why? What are their strengths? What are their weaknesses?
Kyuketsu, I had to team up with him ever since joining the Eleventh and he's saved my life more than once. He's also a pretty cool guy although I wish he and his crush Fuko would just get together already. His strengths are the fact that he has conviction and unparalleled swordsmanship. That's why people trust him even though he's an Acting Captain... as for weaknesses, i don't really know. Pride.... but I guess that'd be one of my weaknesses too at times so im not one to judge

Is there anyone you are eager to meet that you haven’t yet? Why?
Not really.

In respect to the tasks of your occupation, do you prefer to work as a part of a team or on your own? Why?
Would rather prefer the company of a team, but sometimes that can be risky... I guess solo... well i can't really choose, so I'll skip this and go to the next question

If a Shinigami, which do you prefer: Seireitei or the Rukongai? If an Advent Human or Vizard, do you like Tokyo or Japan in general?
Rukongai, even though I live in the Seireitei now and spend most of my time there, the Rukongai is still my first home, and nothing beats the bars and food there.

What are your favorite activities when off-duty?
Eating pizza, sight-seeing, listening to music, playing sports, chilling in the World of the Living. oh and how could i forget? Playing video games

If a Shinigami, how do you feel about the shihakusho? Does it fit your fashion sense? If an Advent Human or Vizard, do you maintain a professional appearance when on-duty?
Ehhh, it's pretty traditional, not exactly my tastes but I don't really mind it. At least it's better than getting forced into wearing a schoolboy Gigai which the operators are so fond of.

What do you like about your occupation? What do you dislike about it? Is it ethical?
Kicking ass and taking names, what's there not to like about it? No but serioussly, don't really dislike anything except for the Central Forty Six's regulations and their ego.

If a Shinigami, what does the nature of your Zanpakutou say about you? If an Advent Human, what does your Awakening say about you? If a Vizard, describe your experience when taming your inner Hollow.
...Seriously now? Getting a little too personal here. Whoever wrote these questions has another thing coming to him.

What is the most evil thing you have ever done?
Kill someone for personal reasons?

What is the most selfless thing you have ever done?
Given all my kan and buying chocolate for children in Rukongai. I guess Fuko tricked me into the idea but still i could have asked for a refund.. so it is selfless in my part too..

Who has had the most influence on you? Did they change you as a person in any way?
Tsubaki, and yeah, I mentioned it before, didn't I? jeez what's up with these questions?

Do you have any rivalries? If yes, how did your rivalry begin? If not, is there anyone whom you are striving to surpass? Why?
I guess Kyuketsu is my rival, and it began when we first crossed blades in Hueco Mundo when I realized how formidable of an opponent he was.

What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?

Hmm... can't really choose. Graduating from the Academy and becoming an official shinigami?

How do you feel about fighting? When faced with a potential enemy, how long will you explore diplomacy before action?
I guess you can say I get myself into unnecessary fights when they can be avoided... and to be honest, I won't waste a mouthful of words. If the enemy isn't wiling to compromise on the first or second attempt, then there's no use on wasting my breath.

Have you ever killed before? If yes, describe the experience and your feelings. If no, how do you feel about killing?
Yeah, and it wasn't that gruesome, and I didn't really feel any remorse about it... I guess killing is not morally right, but if it's for a good cause, then it's gotta be done.

When was the time you were the most frightened? Has your life ever been in danger? If so, what crossed your mind at that moment? Which was the most powerful?
Fighting against an Espada which turned out to be created by a vasto lorde named Prometheus, and my life always seems to somehow wind up being in danger one way or another.

If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be? Why?
Wouldn't really change anything, wish I became a shinigami sooner, but hey beggars can't be choosers.

What is the one thing for which you would most like to be remembered of you after your death?

Well if I died, hm, i'd want to be remembered for whatever reason or cause I died for.

Okamii Igasho

Do you remember the moment you became aware of your spiritual powers? If so, describe the experience. If not, what changed about your life afterwards?
Nearly a century had passed in Rukongai and in the underworld of Seireitei and I was an agent for the nameless. Those who sought my skills would turn on me and try to kill me...instead, something changed in me. At the very moment that I thought was my last, an energy welled up within and suddenly burst forth. The flow of vitality was something I had never felt before - something that saved my life and crushed my enemies. The spark of life -the ash of death - had made itself known.

If you could be stripped of your spiritual powers and live a normal life, would you? Why? If you were forcibly stripped of your powers, how would you react and what would you do?

I will be stripped of my spiritual powers, one day. The question should ask "When", not "If". It's something that will befall every one of us. The river of life will forever flow in one direction, quickly or slowly, so there is no use fighting the inevitable. Should something happen that takes these gifts from me, then I will live my life again. I will adapt and survive.

How would you describe your life before joining your current organization? Is it better or worse than before?

Joined...? Well, freedom is something I had taken for granted but I would not say my life has gotten worse. There are far worse fates to suffer than what we endure.

What did you want to be when you grew up? Would you change your profession if you could? If yes, why?
I've always known that I was put here to help others - to do what is right and just. Ensuring the greater good of all souls does not deal in Blacks and Whites - there are Gray areas that must be explored. I would change nothing.

If a Shinigami, describe your overall experience in your time at the Spiritual Arts Academy. In which areas of Zankensoki did you excel and struggle in? If an Advent Human, describe your feelings on your inception and early tenure with your organization.

The Academy was a wonderful experience. The mind is our most powerful weapon and being part of the Academy is like forging your blade. The fires of wisdom and hammer of discipline will yield weapon of caliber, determined only by your efforts. I enjoyed and excelled in all my studies, though the manipulation of the Demon Arts proved to be a challenge.

Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities? If any, list those who you give credit to for your abilities.
The mentors that would eventually turn on me. They were the ones that taught me to endure the physical bindings of torture and the wrath of a tattered mind. They were the ones that taught me to transcend pain and suffering. Anything else I have learned has been on my own, though, I know when to ask for help.

Why did you choose your current division/organization? Were there any other divisions/organizations you were considering enlisting into?
My current division?.... I had little choice in the matter.

Describe your feelings on your organization leader. If a captain or an organization leader, describe your feelings on your subordinates.
As far as I'm concerned, I have none.

Describe your feelings on your division/organization and your colleagues.
There isn't much to say.

Have you ever been reprimanded by your division/organization leader? How lenient were they? DId you deserve it?
You could say that. They would say it was well deserved.

What do you feel is required of you with your occupation? Is it fair? If at all, in what areas are you lacking in?

There is little in the way of direction amidst the life of a prisoner. As an assassin, however, there is much, much more required.

How seriously do you take your occupation as compared to others?
There is little room for foolishness...but that isn't to sat that there isn't room for fun.

What goal do you most want to accomplish in your career? Are you on track to complete that goal?
There is nothing, singularly, that I hope for. I can say I want to achieve this or that, but there is no guarantee that I will be satisfied once it's attained. A rich man can be the most miserable soul in existence, while the pauper lives a life of splendor. It's all about how one views their existence in the moment - you are either moving forward or you are not. It would be a lie if I said I didn't want to attain Captaincy but I'm well aware that desire does not often take place of deserving.

What does ranking mean to you? Are you under- or over-qualified for your current rank? Do you have any ambitions towards a higher ranking? If a captain or organization leader, why did you seek out your current status?
I'd like to say ranking is of little importance....but, in reality, the hierarchy gives you a form of power. The more decisions being made over your head, the less influence you have on your destiny. If it is something meant for me, I will have it.

Do you feel comfortable in your current division/organization? Is there another division/organization in which your abilities would be utilized more fully? If you have transferred divisions/organizations voluntarily, what was your reasoning for transferring?
I will do my best wherever I may stand. My opinion on the matter is moot, at this point. If my skillset is needed elsewhere, it will be pointed out.

Who is your closest colleague? Why? What are their strengths? What are their weaknesses?
Dependence on others can be a weakness but there is much to be said for drawing on the strength of those around you. I have no closed ties currently, but there are some I would confide in before others.

Is there anyone you are eager to meet that you haven’t yet? Why?
Yes, but the time for that will come.

Who has made a lasting first impression on you?
Lilith Maikeru and Theron Ascania.

In respect to the tasks of your occupation, do you prefer to work as a part of a team or on your own? Why?

Either is fine.

If a Shinigami, which do you prefer: Seireitei or the Rukongai? If an Advent Human or Vizard, do you like Tokyo or Japan in general?
Rukongai. People can live their lives, less invaded by corrupt politics.

What are your favorite activities when off-duty?
Meditation, enjoying sake and gardening...In fact, I've been told there is a captain that shares the joy of botany.

If a Shinigami, how do you feel about the shihakusho? Does it fit your fashion sense? If an Advent Human or Vizard, do you maintain a professional appearance when on-duty?
The shihakushou is fitting attire...I wear my kosode folded, right over left. The judgement of Life and Death is ours to wield, as well as be subjected.

What do you like about your occupation? What do you dislike about it? Is it ethical?
What is ethical and what is moral teeters on the edge of our blade. Our judgment is just and verdant.

If a Shinigami, what does the nature of your Zanpakutou say about you? If an Advent Human, what does your Awakening say about you? If a Vizard, describe your experience when taming your inner Hollow.
They share in my resolve and my understand of the true nature of things.

What is the most evil thing you have ever done?
Evil is not something so easily discerned. I must do what is necessary.

What is the most selfless thing you have ever done?
The commitment to a life serving the greater good of this world and the world beyond.

Who has had the most influence on you? Did they change you as a person in any way?
There is only one person that has changed who I am. That person is gone and I am happy knowing that they helped me discover who I truly am.

Do you have any rivalries? If yes, how did your rivalry begin? If not, is there anyone whom you are striving to surpass? Why?

Kono Tsuneo. I watched him die and, yet, the man claiming to be my former comrade walks around as if it never happened. He is not to be trusted.

What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?
Coming into this life.

How do you feel about fighting? When faced with a potential enemy, how long will you explore diplomacy before action?
The time for talking has already passed once battle has begun. I will not engage anyone in battle until they've shown that there is no room for any alternative...and many are willing to show that rather quickly.

Have you ever killed before? If yes, describe the experience and your feelings. If no, how do you feel about killing?
Killing is a last resort...but it is one I am willing to deliver.

When was the time you were the most frightened? Has your life ever been in danger? If so, what crossed your mind at that moment? Which was the most powerful?
Being able to adapt is the key to survival. If you can harness the fear of defeat - if you can overcome the threat of death - you can surpass your own limitations.

If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be? Why?
Not revealing something to the Central Forty-Six before their sentencing.

What is the one thing for which you would most like to be remembered of you after your death?
Living and Dying to exterminate great evil.

Do you remember the moment you became aware of your spiritual powers? If so, describe the experience. If not, what changed about your life afterwards?

I can’t say I remember the precise moment but in my childhood I’d always had vague intimations of a world beyond what I could see. It scared the hell out of me and lead me to withdraw from the world. The withdrawal had profound implications on my later life. Basically I was one messed up kid.

If you could be stripped of your spiritual powers and live a normal life, would you? Why? If you were forcibly stripped of your powers, how would you react and what would you do?

At one time I might have said yes willingly but now, now I’m not so sure. Despite the pain these powers have brought me they’ve also given me experiences I couldn’t have had without them. If I were forcibly stripped of my powers I’d likely be in shock for quite a while. I’d probably recover and move on with my life but there’d be hellacious upheaval in between. I’d probably become severely depressed at first and slowly drag myself back to normalcy.

How would you describe your life before joining your current organization? Is it better or worse than before?

Considering the fact that I was living in a filthy tent on the streets what do you think? Working for Cerberus isn’t always a stroll in the park but given the alternatives I’ll take it.

What did you want to be when you grew up? Would you change your profession if you could? If yes, why?

I wanted to be a poet or a writer when I grew up. I still write poetry. But no, I don’t think I would change my profession now. I’m learning too much to stop what I’m doing. There’s always a challenge and my brain needs challenges to thrive.

If a Shinigami, describe your overall experience in your time at the Spiritual Arts Academy. In which areas of Zankensoki did you excel and struggle in? If an Advent Human, describe your feelings on your inception and early tenure with your organization.

You mean the part where they asked me if I wanted to become an experiment or an agent? Oh I was just thrilled out of my mind at that. That was followed by my utter bungling of several missions which caused my superiors to seriously consider putting a bullet in my head. Oh those were times that were brimming with joy.

Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities? If any, list those who you give credit to for your abilities.

I have learned most of my skills and abilities on my own with some prompting from Ciro Martelli. But honing the abilities was all me, all the time.

Why did you choose your current division/organization? Were there any other divisions/organizations you were considering enlisting into?

When you have a proverbial gun to your head it really isn’t a choice. Does that answer your question?

Describe your feelings on your organization leader. If a captain or an organization leader, describe your feelings on your subordinates.

Other than being a emotionless megalomaniac with homicidal tendencies I think Ciro Martelli is a good boss. Hell he promoted me! That is enough of an endorsement for me.

Describe your feelings on your division/organization and your colleagues.

Well I wouldn’t describe it as a warm, fuzzy sensation coming from deep in my heart. Cerberus generally eschews the touchy-feely stuff. Are all of my colleagues efficient and skilled? Absolutely. Are they all people I’d willingly spend personal time with? In general, hell no. There are a few but really we are there to do a job.

Have you ever been reprimanded by your division/organization leader? How lenient were they? DId you deserve it?

On many occasions and by two separate leaders. They were incredibly lenient given what I’d done and I did indeed deserve it.

What do you feel is required of you with your occupation? Is it fair? If at all, in what areas are you lacking in?

It helps to be a bloodless psychopath without any emotional attachments and a masochistic streak. But seriously I think that this job requires an ability to distance oneself from it, an analytical mind and a lack of aversion to amoral actions. Is it fair? What’s fair in this life? I would say the biggest lack for me is the fact that I actually give a damn about people. It has been my weakness in this business.

How seriously do you take your occupation as compared to others?

Despite past mistakes I’d say that the fact that I ended up as vice-chairman means that I take it pretty bloody seriously.

What goal do you most want to accomplish in your career? Are you on track to complete that goal?

World domination and the utter destruction of the enemies of Cerberus? Perhaps not. I think I’ll settle for becoming Chairman and leading Cerberus as well as others have in the past.

What does ranking mean to you? Are you under- or over-qualified for your current rank? Do you have any ambitions towards a higher ranking? If a captain or organization leader, why did you seek out your current status?

Ranking. Well when I started at Cerb I would’ve said it doesn’t matter but I’ve learned my lesson about that. I’d like to think that I’m over-qualified but my whole promotion remains a bit of a mystery. I do have ambitions to be Chairman now but time will tell.

Do you feel comfortable in your current division/organization? Is there another division/organization in which your abilities would be utilized more fully? If you have transferred divisions/organizations voluntarily, what was your reasoning for transferring?

I’m not really sure Cerberus is about comfort but I’m reasonably happy where I am. I don’t think that I’d do well in Orpheus so no, there is no other organization where I’d fit in better.

Who is your closest colleague? Why? What are their strengths? What are their weaknesses?

These days I don’t have one. Vice-Chairman is a lonely job.

Is there anyone you are eager to meet that you haven’t yet? Why?

I hear we’ve got a new guy named Rokuro. I’d like to meet him I think.

Who has made a lasting first impression on you?

Arano. I must say that guy takes the cake when it comes to making impressions. Even if the impression was sheer bloody terror, it was a strong one.

In respect to the tasks of your occupation, do you prefer to work as a part of a team or on your own? Why?

I think in the right circumstances working in a team is great. I am more of a loner in my personal life though and I have to admit that I find it hard to work with many people.

If a Shinigami, which do you prefer: Seireitei or the Rukongai? If an Advent Human or Vizard, do you like Tokyo or Japan in general?

Even though I’m half-Japanese I’d say that I love Japan and Tokyo. I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else! There’s something about this place that just sucks me in every time.

What are your favorite activities when off-duty?

I like to go sit in a coffee shop with my notebook or computer, I enjoy going shopping for clothing or furnishings for my apartment, I like to go meditate in various Zen gardens and once in a rare while someone might drag me out to a club.

If a Shinigami, how do you feel about the shihakusho? Does it fit your fashion sense? If an Advent Human or Vizard, do you maintain a professional appearance when on-duty?

I started out with a much less formal style than I dress in now. Lately I’ve found pleasure in bespoke suits. There’s something about a perfectly tailored suit that I can’t stop loving.

What do you like about your occupation? What do you dislike about it? Is it ethical?

You must be some kind of comedian. Ethical? Yeah if by ethical you mean completely free of conscience. I like that about it. I don’t have to always behave myself. On the other hand I think that it’s eroding my ability to treat others as well as I should treat them.

If a Shinigami, what does the nature of your Zanpakutou say about you? If an Advent Human, what does your Awakening say about you? If a Vizard, describe your experience when taming your inner Hollow.

I think my Awakening says that I have a great deal of energy inside of myself that I normally keep pent up and hidden from sight but it is incandescent when released. I don’t allow myself to become enraged very often but I will erupt when it happens.

What is the most evil thing you have ever done?

Threatening to allow Cerberus to be destroyed.

What is the most selfless thing you have ever done?

Probably going to rescue my friend Yusuke with no back up and against express orders not to go after him.

Who has had the most influence on you? Did they change you as a person in any way?

That would be a three way tie I think. Richard for having brought the best parts of me to light, Yusuke for teaching me about the value of protecting my friends and Tombo for showing me precisely why I can never allow myself to become like him.

Do you have any rivalries? If yes, how did your rivalry begin? If not, is there anyone whom you are striving to surpass? Why?

Rivalries internal to Cerberus? No. I would suggest that I have a rivalry with Masato Fujikawa over at Orpheus. We don’t really get along all that well and I wouldn’t mind exceeding him in some measures.

What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?

My promotion to vice-chairman at Cerberus. Bar none it has been the most world-shaping event of my life.

How do you feel about fighting? When faced with a potential enemy, how long will you explore diplomacy before action?

It depends on the intent of my enemy. If there seems to be some chance they’ll be amenable to reason I’ll try diplomacy or subterfuge first. But if anyone comes up against me with the desire to simply murder me, I’ll destroy them.

Have you ever killed before? If yes, describe the experience and your feelings. If no, how do you feel about killing?’

I’ve killed quite a few Titans but I don’t really consider that killing since they’re already dead. I’ve killed people too and that was...actually way easier than I wanted it to be. I saw the people I was killing as potential obstacles to be overcome and I overcame them in the most efficient way possible. I think it’ll slowly devour my soul as I keep on killing fellow human beings.

When was the time you were the most frightened? Has your life ever been in danger? If so, what crossed your mind at that moment? Which was the most powerful?

The most frightened I’ve ever been was seeing how Emily Ishikawa made a complete puppet out of my best friend. Knowing that one person could have that much power and control over any other human being was terrifying.
My life has been in danger on several occasions but by far the worst was when Fukushin put us in the situation of nearly detonating a bomb under ourselves. My most powerful thought was just to survive in any way I could.

If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be? Why?

I would change my failure to support Cerberus when the chips were down. I acted in a way that utterly betrayed the only place I’ve ever been able to call home and that was shameful.

What is the one thing for which you would most like to be remembered of you after your death?

If I could have in some way made someone’s life better that would be enough for me. If I have any humanity left at the end of my life, that’s what I’d want.

Do you remember the moment you became aware of your spiritual powers? If so, describe the experience. If not, what changed about your life afterwards?

Where to start? I suppose it was, oh god, about...four hundred and...let's just call it four and three quarter centuries ago. Most girls my age were obsessing over their hair or men, I was learning to fight. Shocking, I know. Me, the paragon of what it is to be a woman, tussling about against foes twice my weight and over half my size...the scandal. Long story short, one started to fight dirty, I tapped into...something, I guess...and he left the ring one arm lighter. After that my uncle took notice and enrolled me in the Central Spirit Academy.

If you could be stripped of your spiritual powers and live a normal life, would you? Why? If you were forcibly stripped of your powers, how would you react and what would you do?

[The woman begins enunciating each word with her hands as she begins to speak, then slowly dies down.]

Oh. My. God. Yes. Assuming I wasn't going to be immediately gutted after losing them, I'd start a normal. Freaking. Life.

You do this long enough and it stops being all that glamorous. Every battle is 'the most important.' Every war is 'the last, great war to decide it all.' This shit never stops. I want out. Is that clear enough for you? I. WANT. OUT.

How would you describe your life before joining your current organization? Is it better or worse than before?

My current organization being...oh gosh, just me? Well before this my life was a parade of normalcy. I led troops, I did what I had to in order to bring them back alive. Then I got this stupid, STUPID idea that I could change the minds of the Central Forty-Six.

Yeah, answer you own question here.

What did you want to be when you grew up? Would you change your profession if you could? If yes, why?

Growing up is a little bit harder to put a hard line on in my case. It also depends on who you ask. My friends will tell you I'm mature. Faulted, but mature...and always have been. People like Inuzuri are probably convinced I'll never grow up. As for changing my profession, I'm not really all that great at anything else. Go figure.

If a Shinigami, describe your overall experience in your time at the Spiritual Arts Academy. In which areas of Zankensoki did you excel and struggle in? If an Advent Human, describe your feelings on your inception and early tenure with your organization.

I had a figurative leg up on most of the new recruits at the SAA. I learned to fight while most of them were still trying to shoot a measly Shou. Swordsmanship, hand-to-hand, and footwork. Those came easy. Kidou took longer. It's not a problem for me, it just took longer.

Besides, it's not like people wasted time trying to be my friend or anything. Just more practice time for boring old Tsubaki.

[The subject looks away, clearly bearing a mix of annoyance and distraction on her face]

Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities? If any, list those who you give credit to for your abilities.

I had my mentor, just like anyone else would. He taught me what I wanted to know. Fighting on the battlefield taught me what I needed to know. I give credit to survival.

Why did you choose your current division/organization? Were there any other divisions/organizations you were considering enlisting into?

[The woman shoots a sarcastic glance.]

Because I make terrible life choices, apparently.

Describe your feelings on your organization leader. If a captain or an organization leader, describe your feelings on your subordinates.

[The annoyed glance continues.]

It's. Just. Me.

Describe your feelings on your division/organization and your colleagues.

[She rolls her eyes.]

Have you ever been reprimanded by your division/organization leader? How lenient were they? DId you deserve it?

....
..
Pass.

What do you feel is required of you with your occupation? Is it fair? If at all, in what areas are you lacking in?

Is it fair? Good lord, are you writing an article or a book? Whatever my 'occupation' is now, I doubt it's fair. But what the hell else am I going to do?

How seriously do you take your occupation as compared to others?

Enough to risk being branded a traitor?

What goal do you most want to accomplish in your career? Are you on track to complete that goal?

I'd say survive my career, but being a soldier is more than that. It's not something you can just get to Point B, get your 'thank you's' and medals and switch off. You're a soldier until you die. So if getting killed is my career goal, I'm probably not doing too badly.

What does ranking mean to you? Are you under- or over-qualified for your current rank? Do you have any ambitions towards a higher ranking? If a captain or organization leader, why did you seek out your current status?

I sought out and threw away my status to try and help the people I care about. Besides, if I wasn't going to risk everything for them, I don't deserve to wear some stuffy prefix to my name regardless.

[Her glare intensifies.]

And apparently I'm the only one out of thirteen that seems to give a genuine shit.

Do you feel comfortable in your current division/organization? Is there another division/organization in which your abilities would be utilized more fully? If you have transferred divisions/organizations voluntarily, what was your reasoning for transferring?

[She groans loudly, making a dismissive "next" motion with her hands.]

Who is your closest colleague? Why? What are their strengths? What are their weaknesses?

...mother of God NEXT.

Is there anyone you are eager to meet that you haven’t yet? Why?

Oh I'd love to bury my weapon hilt-deep in Fukushin's face, but I doubt I'll get the shot. As for the why, have you even been paying attention?

Who has made a lasting first impression on you?

Everyone.

In respect to the tasks of your occupation, do you prefer to work as a part of a team or on your own? Why?

[The woman's right eyebrow raises]

You're seriously asking me that, aren't you?

If a Shinigami, which do you prefer: Seireitei or the Rukongai? If an Advent Human or Vizard, do you like Tokyo or Japan in general?

And if I'm on the run from...well...essentially all these places?

What are your favorite activities when off-duty?

Not being on-duty?

If a Shinigami, how do you feel about the shihakusho? Does it fit your fashion sense? If an Advent Human or Vizard, do you maintain a professional appearance when on-duty?

Well I'd look stupid fighting demons in a bathing suit, now wouldn't I? You wouldn't think it though after walking past the windows of one of these video game stores. Apparently for women a chainmail bikini is the norm.

What do you like about your occupation? What do you dislike about it? Is it ethical?

...strike one.

If a Shinigami, what does the nature of your Zanpakutou say about you? If an Advent Human, what does your Awakening say about you? If a Vizard, describe your experience when taming your inner Hollow.

It says 'I'm going to blow you up and stand over your charred carcass.' NEXT.

What is the most evil thing you have ever done?

...strike two.

What is the most selfless thing you have ever done?

[She opens her hand in a wide gesture, as if signifying her current scenario.]

Who has had the most influence on you? Did they change you as a person in any way?

Didn't we do this one already?

Do you have any rivalries? If yes, how did your rivalry begin? If not, is there anyone whom you are striving to surpass? Why?

I'd like to live to see tomorrow. Rivalries tend to hamper that.

What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?

Probably something I'm not about to reveal to a complete stranger, let alone an audience. Why?

How do you feel about fighting? When faced with a potential enemy, how long will you explore diplomacy before action?

I'm pretty convinced now that 'diplomacy' is a nice way of saying 'back stabbing.'

Have you ever killed before? If yes, describe the experience and your feelings. If no, how do you feel about killing?

[Her expression hardens, leaving her previous intensity intact and chasing away all sarcasm from her features.]

Yes, I've killed. Yes, it stays with you. No, I'm not going to try and sit here and explain what it means to take a life to someone who hasn't. It's personal, and unique to everyone.

When was the time you were the most frightened? Has your life ever been in danger? If so, what crossed your mind at that moment? Which was the most powerful?

'Has my life ever been in danger?' Do you even screen your interviews?

If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be? Why?

I wouldn't waste my time trying to negotiate with the Forty-Six. Infer whatever you like from that.

What is the one thing for which you would most like to be remembered of you after your death?

...strike three.

[At this point the woman walks out, not saying another word.]

Do you remember the moment you became aware of your spiritual powers? If so, describe the experience. If not, what changed about your life afterwards?

I do not, for I was born with this gift.

If you could be stripped of your spiritual powers and live a normal life, would you? Why? If you were forcibly stripped of your powers, how would you react and what would you do?

Possibly, to live my life to the end of time? Sure, why not, but not at the moment... there’s still too much I need to take care of.

How would you describe your life before joining your current organization? Is it better or worse than before?

An odd mixture of both, actually. There have been times when I could not have been more happy about being in the Third, and being it’s vice-captain, but... it’s not all smiles and sunshine.

What did you want to be when you grew up? Would you change your profession if you could? If yes, why?

Matriarch of House Amaterasu, and I’m pretty sure I got that covered by now.

If a Shinigami, describe your overall experience in your time at the Spiritual Arts Academy. In which areas of Zankensoki did you excel and struggle in? If an Advent Human, describe your feelings on your inception and early tenure with your organization.

It was a breeze, actually. Save for maybe the Hakuda and Kidou disciplined classes, but I amply made up for that with my swordsmanship and speed.

Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities? If any, list those who you give credit to for your abilities.

Most were taught to me by my father, and sometimes mother, at an early age, and a whole lot of hard work as well.

Why did you choose your current division/organization? Were there any other divisions/organizations you were considering enlisting into?

I had considered going to the Eleventh for a while there, but they just didn’t seem to be as ‘interesting’ as the Third. In regards to the other divisions... I suck at kidou, so... yeah, there’s that, and I’m not exactly the sneaky type either.

Describe your feelings on your organization leader. If a captain or an organization leader, describe your feelings on your subordinates.

Well, my feelings on my previous captain was one of mixed feelings, but since he’s gone now... I guess I can call myself the commanding officer? My division is full of idiots, that’s all I have to say about them.

Describe your feelings on your division/organization and your colleagues.

I am quite content with what I have, and what the division stands for right now. My colleagues... they’re some of my most trusted ‘friends’, but they’re still a bunch of idiots.

Have you ever been reprimanded by your division/organization leader? How lenient were they? Did you deserve it?

Yes, not at all, and probably.

What do you feel is required of you with your occupation? Is it fair? If at all, in what areas are you lacking in?

To be the very best at what I do and set an example, and I can’t say it’s not fair since I’m supposed to be a commanding officer. In terms of areas I’m lacking in... I know of quite a lot that I’m not going to be telling you about.

How seriously do you take your occupation as compared to others?

Very. Seriously.

What goal do you most want to accomplish in your career? Are you on track to complete that goal?

I suppose captaincy at one point? Maybe get my House the recognition it deserves.

What does ranking mean to you? Are you under- or over-qualified for your current rank? Do you have any ambitions towards a higher ranking? If a captain or organization leader, why did you seek out your current status?

Rank means the world to me. It is how this world works and runs. As far as under- or over-qualification, I’d say I’m over-qualified for my current position, which also means I have an ambition towards a higher rank – that is, captain.

Do you feel comfortable in your current division/organization? Is there another division/organization in which your abilities would be utilized more fully? If you have transferred divisions/organizations voluntarily, what was your reasoning for transferring?

Are you trying to repeat questions now, or what?

Who is your closest colleague? Why? What are their strengths? What are their weaknesses?

I’ll pass on this one.

Is there anyone you are eager to meet that you haven’t yet? Why?

The Captain-Commander, because I have some words I wish to exchange with him eye to eye.

Who has made a lasting first impression on you?

Kagetoki Manzou, for being an idiot.

In respect to the tasks of your occupation, do you prefer to work as a part of a team or on your own? Why?

I work best on my own... most of the times, but that is merely because I’m afraid I might accidently hurt everyone.

If a Shinigami, which do you prefer: Seireitei or the Rukongai? If an Advent Human or Vizard, do you like Tokyo or Japan in general?

I would say Seireitei, but given that my family’s manor is situated in Rukongai and seeing as how it’s pretty nice... I have no idea, really.

What are your favorite activities when off-duty?

Reading, writing, drawing, training, working out, running marathons.

If a Shinigami, how do you feel about the shihakusho? Does it fit your fashion sense? If an Advent Human or Vizard, do you maintain a professional appearance when on-duty?

It wouldn’t be my first choice from a fashion sense perspective, but it gets the point across.

What do you like about your occupation? What do you dislike about it? Is it ethical?

...

If a Shinigami, what does the nature of your Zanpakutou say about you? If an Advent Human, what does your Awakening say about you? If a Vizard, describe your experience when taming your inner Hollow.

I am my zanpakutou, as much as it is me.

What is the most evil thing you have ever done?

Almost killed someone out of sheer bloodlust, twice?

What is the most selfless thing you have ever done?

I am not a selfless person.

Who has had the most influence on you? Did they change you as a person in any way?

Theron Ascania, most likely. And he changed me in a bad way, I feel.

Do you have any rivalries? If yes, how did your rivalry begin? If not, is there anyone whom you are striving to surpass? Why?

Lady Tsubaki is someone I consider looking up to, but to speak of rivalries... no, none that I can think of.

What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?

Usurping Ri’s position as vice-captain of the Third, and being appointed Matriarch of House Amaterasu.

How do you feel about fighting? When faced with a potential enemy, how long will you explore diplomacy before action?

Depends on whether I feel like pressing all the wrong buttons, or not. If I am in a particularly foul mood, or in a particularly happy mood I will try and get reactions from people, otherwise I’m cold and ruthless when it comes to fighting.

Have you ever killed before? If yes, describe the experience and your feelings. If no, how do you feel about killing?

Yes, and I liked it.

When was the time you were the most frightened? Has your life ever been in danger? If so, what crossed your mind at that moment? Which was the most powerful?

The three or four or so times that I died, probably. But, after a while it kind of loses its charm.

The most powerful was without a doubt nearly succumbing to insanity, though.

If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be? Why?

This is much like asking ‘do you not like where you’re currently at?’ since changing the past affects the future, and I have no qualms about the present.

What is the one thing for which you would most like to be remembered of you after your death?

My accomplishments?

Do you remember the moment you became aware of your spiritual powers? If so, describe the experience. If not, what changed about your life afterwards?

I can't say that I do. As a shinketsu it was all but expected for me to be spiritually aware so I was raised as such.

If you could be stripped of your spiritual powers and live a normal life, would you? Why? If you were forcibly stripped of your powers, how would you react and what would you do?

No, I wouldn't. I love being a healer, I love helping those in need. Of course, I could still help people without chiyudou, but it it's much easier with it.

How would you describe your life before joining your current organization? Is it better or worse than before?

Oh sweet memories. Such a blissful life devoid of responsibility. No, I'm not speaking of my time before becoming a member of the Fourth...though that sentiment certainly applies to that period of time as well. But I'm actually talking about my time at the west gate medical center, before I was transferred to the main hospital. I was able to do what I love in relative anonymity and I had plenty of time for goofing off.

What did you want to be when you grew up? Would you change your profession if you could? If yes, why?

That's a good question. I suppose I wanted to be a sexy combination of healer and martial artist. I think I've achieved that goal, don't you? The only way I would change my profession would be to reduce the amount of paperwork I have to do.

If a Shinigami, describe your overall experience in your time at the Spiritual Arts Academy. In which areas of Zankensoki did you excel and struggle in? If an Advent Human, describe your feelings on your inception and early tenure with your organization.

Talk about sweet memories, if I could could go back to my academy days I would in a heart beat! I got into so much mischief, broke so many rules, and never got caught...ok, I got caught occasionally, but not enough to really get in trouble. Though I'm sure I was suspected for many things that could have gotten me kicked out, but they didn't have evidence enough to prove I was involved, hahaha.

[Now that you are a captain and beyond punishment from such a source, is there anything you would like to admit to from your academy days?]

And give Old Man Yoshi the satisfaction? No thanks.

Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities? If any, list those who you give credit to for your abilities.

Another old man that I'd hate to give credit, my former tutor Soujiro. He built the foundation for all my Hakuda ability.

Why did you choose your current division/organization? Were there any other divisions/organizations you were considering enlisting into?

It was a natural fit. I was already well versed in anatomy and physiology and during my time in the academy I showed great promise in the path of healing.

Describe your feelings on your organization leader. If a captain or an organization leader, describe your feelings on your subordinates.

Even though I am a captain, I'd like to speak on my old captain. I can do that...right? Riiight? You see that? The way I communicated an effective death threat without words and with a bright smile? I learned that from her: Moira Murray. I miss that woman.

Describe your feelings on your division/organization and your colleagues.

The Fourth is great. I wish I saw more of my vice-captain Akio and things aren't the same without Kaede and her peculiar ways, but there are a lot of other bright and shining faces that do excellent work.

Have you ever been reprimanded by your division/organization leader? How lenient were they? DId you deserve it?

Remember that smiling death threat I learned from Moira? How do you think I learned it? And yes, I probably deserved it. Probably. But as far as leniency goes, I think she was...because unlike Kago, Moira didn't stab me in my heart and leave me to drag myself to help.

What do you feel is required of you with your occupation? Is it fair? If at all, in what areas are you lacking in?

What do I feel is required of me? Well, it is required that I keep the hospital from imploding into chaos and ensure that my people are able to get the rest of the Gotei back on their feet again...or something like that.

How seriously do you take your occupation as compared to others?

I take it serious enough.

[Would...um, oh right...would Asahina-san agree with your assesment?]

...If you know enough to mention Kimura-chan, then you already know the answer.

What goal do you most want to accomplish in your career? Are you on track to complete that goal?

My career goal was to remain an invisible, insignificant, and unseated healer (no offense to those reading sans-seat). I've failed pretty spectacularly at that goal if I do say so myself.

What does ranking mean to you? Are you under- or over-qualified for your current rank? Do you have any ambitions towards a higher ranking? If a captain or organization leader, why did you seek out your current status?

I didn't seek it out. Becoming Moira's vice-captain was sort of sought out for me. Don't get me wrong, I was fully qualified, but I was woefully unmotivated. With the meddling--I mean, the assistance of my dear, dear older sister, I was brought to Moira's attention and she um...fixed that whole motivation issue. And once the captain moved on, naturally I became her replacement.

Do you feel comfortable in your current division/organization? Is there another division/organization in which your abilities would be utilized more fully? If you have transferred divisions/organizations voluntarily, what was your reasoning for transferring?

I certainly hope I would be comfortable within my own division.

Who is your closest colleague? Why? What are their strengths? What are their weaknesses?

I'm not sure I have one of those. Is that a bad thing?

Is there anyone you are eager to meet that you haven’t yet? Why?

Are you kidding? There's a whole afterlife of women I'm eager to meet...but I suppose I won't get to considering the whole getting married thing....

Who has made a lasting first impression on you?

Louhi Kaiho. It wasn't a good first impression either.

In respect to the tasks of your occupation, do you prefer to work as a part of a team or on your own? Why?

There's nothing better than cooperation when it comes to work. Especially when it comes to work.

If a Shinigami, which do you prefer: Seireitei or the Rukongai? If an Advent Human or Vizard, do you like Tokyo or Japan in general?

Rukongai is nice for when my eyes need a break from white buildings, but as a noble I like my creature comforts. So Seireitei it is.

What are your favorite activities when off-duty?

I'm an avid shougi player...or rather, I was. These days I'm mostly managing the family winery and distillery when I'm off duty.

If a Shinigami, how do you feel about the shihakusho? Does it fit your fashion sense? If an Advent Human or Vizard, do you maintain a professional appearance when on-duty?

I'm fine with the shihakushou as is but I don't begrudge anyone who sees fit to alter theirs.

What do you like about your occupation? What do you dislike about it? Is it ethical?

Haven't I already addressed this? I like helping people, I dislike paperwork.

If a Shinigami, what does the nature of your Zanpakutou say about you? If an Advent Human, what does your Awakening say about you? If a Vizard, describe your experience when taming your inner Hollow.

It says I need someone to keep me in line.

What is the most evil thing you have ever done?

The most...what?

What is the most selfless thing you have ever done?

This question is almost as silly as the last one. Me? Selfless? Hahahahaha.

Who has had the most influence on you? Did they change you as a person in any way?

I don't know, considering I've mentioned her name about a hundred times during this interview it just might be Moira Murray. She helped me to see that avoiding responsibility was hurting more than just myself.

Do you have any rivalries? If yes, how did your rivalry begin? If not, is there anyone whom you are striving to surpass? Why?

Of course I don't, everyone loves me! Or so I like to think.

What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?

I don't know. How about I get back to you on that one....

How do you feel about fighting? When faced with a potential enemy, how long will you explore diplomacy before action?

I dislike unnecessary violence, but there are unfortunately some times that violence becomes necessary.

Have you ever killed before? If yes, describe the experience and your feelings. If no, how do you feel about killing?

Since purifying hollows is just that--purifying, not killing, no I have not. I hope that in the course of my duties I never have to kill, but I accept that as a soldier it may one day be necessary for me to do so.

When was the time you were the most frightened? Has your life ever been in danger? If so, what crossed your mind at that moment? Which was the most powerful?

Considering the nature of war, fear comes with the territory. I could not tell you what has frightened me the most, but I have certainly experienced fear. Fear is natural. Fear keeps us alive. The trick is keeping fear rational; do so and you'll never be considered a coward and you'll live a long life.

If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be? Why?

I would have visited home more often after graduating from the academy, seen more of my father before his death.

What is the one thing for which you would most like to be remembered of you after your death?

I would like to be remembered as a man who was never unhappy. Plain and simple.
