He was to be the best, like no one ever was. And he traveled all across the land, searching far and wide - each pokemon to understand, the power that's insiiiiiiiiiide. - Unknown Sage of Wisdom
...It didn't take long for PokeTrainer Kev to amass the eight badges of Sinnoh, defeating each Gym Leader with more gusto and moxie than the last. Roark of Oreburgh? Piece of cake. Fantina of Hearthome? Left in the dust. Volkner of Sunyshore? Completely rolled over. No one in the area could even come close to beating him. He completed the gym challenge faster than anyone ever before.
Soon he would be ready for the trials of the Elite 4 - but not before his toughest chalange to date. This was of course...
The battle was a heated one, with no clear winner ever until the final seconds. Nano's team, famous for its luck-based tactics was, well, extremely lucky for the entire match. From the beginning seconds, where Miltank's body slam connected for a devastating and paralyzing critical hit, it looked as if Kev was doomed. But, through resolve and the fire burning in his heart, the PokeTrainer pressed on. Soon they were down to the most pivotal point in the match - Kev's Tyranitar versus Nano's Togekiss.
It was the match up of the ages, and it would surely be talked about in PokeCenters across the land for ages to come. In the end, it was Kev who prevailed. He beat the legendary h4x master - garnering the coveted ninth badge: the birfdae badge.
...And the rest, as they say, was history.
