"Not telling," the scrawny man spat at the woman in front of her, who was obviously
way out of his caliber. First, she had those shenanigans, then the impossibly fast speed. She was like
them -- the people whom he works with. Unfortunately though, he isn't even in the brink of their power. He was merely a
pawn. He hated being pushed around, he hated being the weakest, he hated being so helpless -- at least, if he couldn't do his task well, there's only one solution out of it. That is, to end it. And that all ends --
now. He intends to, at least.
"Just 'cause I remember telling you," he spoke in a rather strained tone, and reached for something tucked in his belt, "Over. My. Dead. Body." He inserted his bony finger on a small loop, and flashed a rather malicious grin at the woman. Despite his wrists being restrained by the cold metal, at least his fingers weren't -- and he could move it well enough so as to pull that small metal loop out of its binding. There was a slight click, and he was quite sure that the woman heard it.
"And I do keep my promises," he flashed a grin towards her, and no more words came out. Nothing but a laugh. At least, if he were to die, he would die laughing. This thing on his body -- it was made for this kind of emergency situation -- when he felt like he can't do anything else but to settle on his last resort.
Well, shit. If you don't want to run, you might as well join me in hell. I might even want harems in the afterlife, he thought with a little jest as he looked at the woman in the eye.
Soon, the contraption in his back exploded, and he was engulfed with a swirly haze of dancing flames, with colorful blasts of explosions rising up to the air -- much like fireworks. In fact, it was designed to be like one, only that its color pattern was designed to be a distinct one.
The scrawny man heard the explosions from where she stood, and since he was incapable of seeing it with his own eyes, he fiddled with the small buttons on his remote control so that the crow could retrieve the visual information and make him see it. There, on the distance, was a distinct pattern of colors paired in twos. Green and red, orange and green, purple and yellow, blue and white... those pairings, he simply knew.
It's time.
The man focused his full attention to the three moppets within his own line of view, and grinned as they made their way to his direction. It's showtime.
