Release Submission Thread

Nevada Tegishahara’s zanpakutou

Name: Keeper of the Sun [Taiyō no ban'nin] 太陽の番人
Release Phrase: Shine, Keeper of the Sun / Kagayaki, Taiyō no ban'nin.

Form: When released, Taiyō no ban'nin hums with light and produces a blinding effect for a split second as the release starts. Her zanpakutou swirls and changes into the form of a pair of chakrams. The blades are a pure ivory colour with a light golden colour mixing with the white steel. A diamond shaped indent is made in the center area of the blade where an obsidian diamond shaped ornament hangs. This ornament changes colour to an ivy green when reiatsu is channeled through the zanpakutou. The blade itself hovers off of the grip Nevada holds. A six-pronged ‘sun’ handle made of gold colours is the grip Nevada holds. Two blue orbs on each side of the handle levitate between the handle and the blade, acting as a sort of anchor. The zanpakutou hums with golden life around each side of the chakram blades when idle. http://i.imgur.com/UaXQ0av.png

Manifestation: Taiyō no ban'nin takes the form of an beautiful woman clad in flowing white and yellow robes. Her silver hair flows in soft curls and descends down her back to her waist. The zanpakutou’s weapon form is typically held to her sides in dual forms, to show Nevada’s own chakram and Taiyō no ban'nin’s form. A brilliant aura of golden rays surrounds the woman and usually her blue eyes create life whenever she looks on the ground of her inner world, often creating fields of flowers and vibrant life around the two beings. When she speaks, she speaks with carefully chosen words and a sense of demand. She is composed usually, only breaking such composure when Nevada irritates her beyond her threshold. She is quick to make Nevada a better person, evident when she refused to give Nevada her name until she matured.

Inner World: Taiyō no ban'nin’s inner world is a place known as Nikkō no Kyūden, or The Sunlight Palace. An impressive and beautiful palace sits in a beautiful meadow that shines with various colours of gold, emerald and sky blue. Within the palace is a myriad of rooms and studies filled with books and various other items and things both Taiyō no ban'nin and Nevada are interested in.

[Taiyou no moeru ha] Burning Blade of the Sun 太陽の燃える刃
Ability
By mixing 350 of her reiatsu with particles of light and binding them to her chakrams, Nevada is capable of creating an extension to her zanpakutou. The light particles form a blade of golden light that extends to 2 feet from both chakram blades. This light burns incredibly easy and holds the violent potential to cut through things that are not physically capable of being cut.

This ability grants Nevada the ability to cut through attacks up to the cost paid to activate this ability (350). The blades last for 3 turns and have a 2 turn cool-down before they can be used again.

[Kanetsu Nikko Hoyo] Heated Sunlight Embrace 加熱日光抱擁
Ability
Like the sunlight she embodies and the warm spirit of her owner, Taiyō no ban'nin can produce a warm feeling to those she touches. However, this warm feeling manifests itself outside of emotions and into physical warmness. Burning hot fiery death actually. By paying 1% of her reiatsu and paying a 1% upkeep per turn, Nevada’s chakram is covered burning hot reiatsu that is reminiscent of lava. Every time her chakrams make contact with an object, she super-heats it and can even burn things without reiatsu with just one slight touch. Objects with spiritual power such as zanpakutou don’t get super-heated as badly, nor will people, though it will cause a sensation similar to being burned by a blowtorch.

[Nikko ju] Sunlight Gun 日光銃
Attack
By gathering heat from the sun and light particles and bathing them in her reiatsu, Nevada can gather these energies around the diamond shaped ornament at the tip of her chakrams. By spending 5% of her reiatsu, the energies are repelled violently from the diamond in a single ray of light. The light is incredibly hot due to the heat absorbed from the sun, capable of melting or burning things in its path. It travels a total of 30 meters in a single direction, with a width and height of 5 feet. The damage dealt is the amount paid, 5% of Nevada’s reiatsu.

Resubbing my kai’s vizard attack since I just noticed it uses Emptiness rules.

Old Version:

Vizard Attack - Chimodosu: By expending 2% reiatsu, 5% rage and gaining 3% emptiness, Shukumei can amplify the amount of reiatsu imbibed into his blade for that turn. Until the end of the turn, he can draw a shape in the reiatsu released from his blade before firing it outwards in a more destructive burst. The shape drawn can only reach a maximum of four feet by four feet.

New Version:

Vizard Attack - Chimodosu: By gaining 5% rage and expending all reiatsu stored within Gekijin, Shukumei can amplify the amount of reiatsu imbibed into his blade for that turn. Until the end of the turn, he can draw a shape in the reiatsu released from his blade before firing it outwards in a destructive burst that explodes on contact. The shape drawn can only reach a maximum of four feet by four feet.

Ink Bottle Knight - Approved w/Changes

For my random nit pick, split the overwriting of energy attacks into its own ability. It’s totally fine just my OCD is kicking in and it just feels like too much is happening in the same ability. THIS IS TOTALLY JUST ME BEING ALL NITPICK ;o;

Sousei - Approved w/Changes

I’m going to limit what you can copy just to fit in line with what a shikai can and can’t do.
Also I’m going to like gut out half the number in Download. You’re really paying far too much. I have concerns about upload that I’ll write up below.

Download:

Keiji is capable of choosing one single reiatsu construct created by himself or an ally through items, kidou, shikai or equivalent level abilities, and trained feats and “downloading” it into either gauntlet. Download ability requires what was paid into the original ability and can only be used on abilities worth up to 5% of Keiji’s total reiatsu. Projectile abilities cannot be downloaded. For each turn that the ability remains downloaded Keiji pays 2% of his reiatsu reiatsu which keeps the it contained and strengthens it by the same amount up to 6% of his total reiatsu, after which point all further payments only serve to keep the item downloaded. Releasing the item or ability does not cost reiatsu.

Upload:

Bit concerned about the reposition considering this ability is really super strong if used correctly so I’m ditching the reposition making it so he’ll return in the same location. Also, adding a maximum amount of time he can stay hidden. Swapping it to percentile costs.

For 2% of his reiatsu Keiji is able to input a command into Sousei's released interface and turn his body from physical matter to digital, causing him to vanish entirely. While in this state keiji is incapable of being harmed or observed, but he is also subject to these conditions for the outside world. For each round after the one in which this ability was activated Keiji can pay an additional 1% reiatsu and remain a literal component of the internet for up to 3 turns before he must activate this ability once more. Any time he deactivates the ability her will reappear original position and he can do so no sooner than the turn after it was activated. For the purposes of speed Keiji is limited by his total hohou in terms of how quickly he may upload himself in either way.

Taiyo no Ban’nin - Approved with Changes

So there’s some stuff with Blade of Sun that you’re going to run into. 350 rei... isn’t much. Sure it might seem like a big value proportional to your reiatsu but it’s going to get small fast. Looking at the kidou list it’s like up to Hadou 32. I suggest you swap this to a percentile cost and work it as follows.

Taiyou no Moeru ha:

By mixing 5% of her reiatsu with particles of light and binding them to her chakrams, Nevada is capable of creating an extension to her zanpakutou. The light particles form a blade of golden light that extends to 2 feet from both chakram blades. This light burns incredibly easy and holds the violent potential to cut through things that are not physically capable of being cut.

This ability grants Nevada the ability to cut through attacks up to the cost paid to activate this ability. Doing so subtracts the cost of the ability from the reiatsu stored in the blade. These blades last as long as they contain reiatsu and require a single turn between activation.

Kanetsu Nikko Hoyo:

Suggest you put the cost at like 2%-3% reiatsu per turn to actually give the ability some oomph.

Nikko Ju:

Reduce range to 20 meters to put it in like with shikai stuff.

Chimodosu - Approved

Repost just to reflect changes. This is the version going into my profile. Thanks again for the review!

Changes/Addition in BLUE, reference pictures removed.

SHIKAI SUBMISSION

Name: Ink Bottle Knight (Suitsubokishi)

Release Phrase: "Bleed," (“Shukketsusuru,”)

Form: Ink Bottle Knight takes on the simple weapon form of a wooden spear. The haft is composed of some similar spiritual wood equivalent as bamboo or rattan - that is, extremely hard and flexible; colored with a medium brown, akin to a somewhat dark oak-wood or chestnut brown. The length of the spear is extremely long, from tip to end, spanning almost nine-feet exactly. The wood shows vague signs of artistic carving and burning, though one would probably require close proximity to notice. The bottom end of the shaft is flat and cylindrical, while at the top, it becomes ever-so slightly more bulbous, bowing out before narrowing again; smoothly, softly curling into itself like the bottom of a fruit.

Seated within the internally curving bulb begins a thin, smooth leaf or almond shaped piece of brushed metal, made for thrusting rather than linear strokes. The spearhead has slopes that raise up and then back down in thin, closely crafted waves that "twirl", from bottom to top. Contained within it are vertically-flowing dark lines of varying thickness, always beginning thick at the tip and trailing into a thin line. They appear randomly, as if stained to highlight them against the already dark metal of the head. Despite its craftsmanship, the spearhead maintains an even diameter at its outermost and remains a smooth texture if someone were to grip the head's outside diameter.

Spirit and Inner World: Ink Bottle Knight and the world it lives in are entirely defined by the free-flowing ink that composes them both. Any features it, or the world, have are either made up by the ink or discerned by the ink's absence; the absence of the ink not having any other distinct feature of its own. Ink Bottle Knight also, generally, does not have a specific form, choosing to conceal its true form to its preference of an odd looking black-ink cat.

Its ears are large and its eyes are sometimes empty, faintly-glowing white orbs filling in where the inky, black would normally form irises; usually manifesting when the spirit gets excited or passionate. When it smiles or moves, drips of ink can be seen coming off of its paws, tail, or forming ink streams between its curved, open lips. At times, Ink Bottle Knight will appear more clearly drawn, along with the ink-made world surrounding it, and soft, black eyes, full of consciousness and empathy will form.

Ability: “Diluting Lance” (Kishaku Mori)

Okita’s Diluting Lance allows him to seamlessly transform his spearhead into gently twined brush fibers and back again. The fibers can store a single inanimate object's atomic structure as a sample and then can restructure another inanimate object into the stored medium. Painting can take place in open air, made possible due to the restructuring of protons and electrons that come in contact with the brush "mode" of Ink Bottle Knight, appearing as a trail of the medium applied.

In roleplay, the effect lasts two enemy turns and cannot coexist with foreign reiatsu, making Zanpakuto, magical weapons and items, and combatants or bodies, that contain reiatsu unable to accept the release ability's reiatsu-driven effect.

It costs Okita nothing to store a new medium. Instead, Okita pays 5% of his maximum reiatsu to activate application of the medium stored.

Ability: "Staining Spear" (Senshoku Yari)

Additionally, Diluting Lance cannot be used directly on energy based attacks such as Kidou/Gintou/Others but can be used to override reiatsu-charged manipulations to objects or surroundings similar in nature to Diluting Lance, given that the paid cost is equal or greater.

The paid cost to apply the overwrite is 5% of his maximum reiatsu.

Heyo. I've purchased a resubmission, so here we go!

~Aether Blade~

Udo’s zanpakutou is a katana with a 29-inch blade and an 11-inch handle. It has a blue-green cord wrap and sheath, white ray skin and pommel, and a silver guard:

AetherBlade.png

Manifestation:
A sake bottle that can talk.

Inner World: Udo’s inner world is a matte black, three-dimensional maze that keeps reconfiguring. Some surfaces function as lights, and other surfaces function as screens, showing what Udo is thinking about. The more troubled he is, the more frequently the maze reconfigures.

Shikai: Sever the bonds of this world, Aether Blade!

Form: In its shikai state, some of this zanpakutou's power leaks into the outside world. This takes the appearance of silver flames dancing along the blade, holding reflections that never sit still. These "flames" are actually small tears in the fabric of spacetime, not strong enough to actually do anything aside from reflect normal light that hits them.

Ability: Spin

Once per turn for 100 reiatsu, Udo can choose a three-dimensional shape (e.g. sphere, cube, cylinder, prism) centered within 20 meters and no more than 2 meters long in any plane as the target for this ability. The target cannot contain anything that possesses reiatsu. The surface of this shape becomes translucent for a moment before this ability takes effect. To move away from the target area before this ability takes effect requires a flash step, equivalent or better technique, backed by a movement stat greater than Udo's kidou stat. The targeted shape is then instantaneously cut out, rotated and put back in a new orientation. Objects within this shape do not move relative to each other, but do move relative to the outside world.

Attack: Sever

For 5% reiatsu, Udo launches a cut through space from his zanpakutou which looks like a one meter wide disc-shaped blade. It follows a path of his choice up to 20 meters long. The disc is spinning, so when it would be blocked, it glances off instead. Its speed is given by his zanjutsu stat.

Lambo you're good to go.

Aether Blade - Approved w/Changes

So... I think you might have misinterpreted what I said by wanting a bit of counter play. There are ways, in my opinion, to do this without doing some crazy stipulations or limitations. Just need to keep things simple. First off, there’s a contradiction in Spin. You say that the target area cannot contain reiatsu but then... add stipulations for people to leave the target area.

It is a bit crazy to escape with a bunch of requirements, when I think it could be simpler and based more on RPing an escape/talking to the fight partner. It’s simply going to be created at a speed relative to your kidou stat. That is to say, as with most dodging of kidou, the higher the difference between Udo’s kidou stat and the target’s movement stat (modded by any dodge amplifiers they have), the harder it is to go go gadget get the fuck out. I.e. how most everything dodge related works.

Upping the max size because 2 meters is about 6.5 feet so it gets weird for people taller. Other than hollows/summons I don’t think people are taller than 9 feet in this RP. Also changing the cost because 100 rei is pretty much negligible for the power of the ability.

Sever is fine.

Approved as follows:

Ability: Spin

Once per turn for 3% reiatsu, Udo can choose a three-dimensional shape (e.g. sphere, cube, cylinder, prism) centered within 20 meters and no more than 3 meters long in any plane as the target for this ability. The target cannot contain any attacks or constructs that possesses reiatsu. The surface of this shape becomes translucent for a moment before this ability takes effect. The object is created at a speed relative to Udo’s kidou stat. The targeted shape is then instantaneously cut out, rotated and put back in a new orientation. Objects within this shape do not move relative to each other, but do move relative to the outside world.

Resubbing Ban Kai and Shi Kai as was allowed when Lucas lost Shoul during last PMs.

Edit: I talked with Colin and we made some changes at 3 am Tuesday. Hopefully you did not begin reviewing this yet.

Saul, the Veteran

Sealed form: In its unreleased form, Saul appears to be a wakizashi with a thicker than usual blade. Its tsuba looks as though it was made from a cut emerald and shaped like a diamond.

Spirit: Saul takes the appearance of an older man with wide shoulders and a grizzled beard. At first glance he appears humbling, but the more one looks at him the more it is apparent that Saul holds a commanding air to himself. His clothes are simple woven robes of earthen colors with the collar, hem, and cuff of his sleeves stitched in gold and silver as appropriately tasteful.

He is a wizened soul, and advisor, as well as a friend.

Inner world: In the sanctuary of his soul, Lucas has found a vast desert that stretched for miles in any direction. It is an unforgiving place that even he cannot stay in too long. It is there, however, that a single tower rises skyward. The tower is formed from pure white stone with arrow slits along its walls and battlements at the top. While it appears to extend towards the heavens, the actual height of the tower remains a mystery, for inside a stairway leading to the top never ends.

This lone tower is home to the Defender-King, Saul. There is no hot or cold within the tower’s walls, and the floor is draped with carpets while finer murals and paintings line the walls. Dozens of self portraits of Saul exist within the tower and the king lounges in a sultan's throne, served by dozens of invisible servants.

始解“Shi Kai”
Release Command: 建つ (Tatsu or Stand)

Release form: Once energy is released the tanto shatters into millions of flakes which swirl around Lucas’s hands. A pair of gauntlets form around his hands crested with gold and silver. Upon the top of the hand is the symbol of the Solidarity Tower and upon each of the top knuckles of both hands is an encrusted emerald.

The Greater Margin (Attack): “...uncertainty in one scale, courage and self-confidence should be thrown into the other to correct the balance.”

The Greater Margin requires that Lucas be struck an attack. When this happens Lucas’s body immediately adapts to learn how his enemy manipulated reiatsu just enough so that he can shut them down. Whenever he is assaulted he can pay 2% reiatsu per round to shut down a technique, attack, or ability in the opponent. This lock can be removed by using Fuubi.

Act of Violence (Attack): “War therefore is an act of violence to compel our opponent to fulfill our will.”

The second option Saul gives to Lucas, is the ability of choice. By reducing damage of an reiatsu-based attack by one level Lucas may absorb 3% of his reiatsu from the attack for his own reiatsu pool. This ability of Saul’s is only usable once every other turn after the initial use.

Other Means (Attack): “War is merely the continuation of policy by other means.”

While his confidence in Lucas is firm, Saul would not have Lucas withstand the brunt of every attack constantly. If for some reason Lucas requires another option to spare himself or his comrades from a horrible fate, he may infuse the blades of Saul with 5% of his reiatsu to physically redirect an attack. Through this way it is possible for him to redirect energy-based missile attacks, but only up to the amount he paid.

This ability may be used with Kawasu.

卍解“Ban Kai”Saul, the Last Defender
Form: As the ultimate transformation from a shinigami to the towering behemoth, monstrosity of resistance than Saul is, Lucas entire shape, form and look has evolve to reflect the inner strength of his spirit. His body frame grows by one foot on height as his body hardens and his muscles grow to accommodate his new size. His face darkens as his body is clad from head to toe in a suit of full plate mail. His broadened shoulders hold the shoulders crested with the symbol of the solidary tower of Saul’s domain. The entire suit is worn from the countless years of weathering assaults from ever yfor who sought to bring down the Last Defender. Cuts, dents and marks mar the surface of the sullied silver color of the metal. The gauntlets of his previous form have their gems removed as a small buckler is form above each hand. Rather than being rounded as per normal for buckler these are form with in the shape of a kite shield, wide at the top and narrow at the end. The iconic Solidarity Tower is engraved on the top of each shield as the edges are also sharpened down to a blade's’ edge.

Balance In Spite (Ability): Battle is bloody and gruesome and whether you are the victor or the conquered each side has its own share of casualties and wounded. Walking away from a fight unwounded is a mythical impossibility and Saul knows this, but he has decreed that his student will not be brought down but a lucky shot or overwhelming assault.

Whenever Lucas is inflicted with a major wound, it is immediately reduced to moderate.

Last Bastion (Attack): Working so closely with Saul on the finer points of war he has learned to take the teachings of his mentor and improve upon the making them his own. Lucas has taken on the stance of the bastion and as a result he holds the line with everything he has. Whenever an opponent attacks him they find it harder to gather the will power to attack him again in the following round. However, should the enemy fight against the feeling of dread flooding through them from attacking him once before and attack him again their own strength is drained away and as such their rei is drained away by 5% of Lucas’ own reiatsu.

The Double Edge (Attack): “... the will to protect is a double-edge sword... one must sacrifice in order to protect.”

As Lucas walks the battlefield he carried the weight of what must be done. Defence at all cost, the salvation all those depending on him. His honor strengthening his resolve as he has come to terms with that either he will fall or his enemies will. As his defences, his body and mind are assaulted once per turn Lucas is capable of reducing an attack by 5% of his reiatsu and absorbing that energy into his own reserves of reiatsu.

Final Act of Aggression (Attack): A defender never walks away from a battle without his share of wounds and scars. His body is a canvas for the Art of War, as each mark upon his skin tells a story of fierce battles and fallen soldiers. Each memory adds to fuel to the fire that is his desire to press on and do what must be done. However, these memories fuel another part of him, they also strengthen his strength and resolve to fight back rather than to just holding the line.

As Lucas’ body is painted with new wounds, his strength is enhanced. Lucas may pay 3% reiatsu to increased the damage of his next attack by 5% per wound inflicted upon his body to a max of 15%.

Saul - Denied

There are a few issues in this kai so I’m going to go through them bit by bit. So, AWAAAAY we go.

First off, I think it’s because they’re three abilities in the shikai. In general the shikai seems a bit disconnected and it doesn’t seem to be that cohesive together. I understand that your theme is tank things but it does seem to be a bit ability vomit to me and it kind of dilutes the complete kai into a collection of abilities instead of a cohesive theme.

The Greater Margin -
One ability at a time. Also, in shikai it can only affect division techs, race techs, shikai abilities, trained feats. Furthermore, after the lockdown is broken, you’ll need to wait a turn before activating it. Change it to a flat cost with a time limit. I.E. 5% to lock it for 2 turns. You don’t need a binding break to stop it early, but you can cleanse it if you have some sort of cleanse.

Act of Violence -
Not gonna work. There’s too much going on. You can pay 3% that reduces it damage, possibly removes the attack, and lowers the damage by a wound level AND acts as a drain. That’s too much. I suggest something like, you can pay 3% of your reiatsu to drain it from the ability. If you successfully eliminate the attack, the cost is refunded to you with a two turn cooldown between uses. If you don’t overwhelm the attack, no refund. Get rid of the wound reduction.

Other Means - Fine. (though not sure why you’d actually want this since there’s already Kawasu and adding extra abilities means I have to weaken the rest of your kai)

Balance in Spite - Limited to 1 Severe wound per turn. This reminds me of Gravios and Gravios was RIDIKKULUS.

Last Bastion -
This is kind of ridiculous. If they attack you, you do an autohit reiatsu drain that you don’t pay for. Also the way you worded it, you keep constantly activating this every time they attack. Not a fan of this at all.

The Double Edge - See Act of Violence

Final Act of Aggression -
So... this is kind of weird. Your cost benefit is kind of ridiculous. 3% for a 15% based on having a few wounds. Theres no way to categorize these wounds so like if Lucas trips and gets slightly scuffed up he has this almost permanent 15% boost to his stuff. I’m not really sure how to balance something like this well without weighing it down with a bunch of stipulations and considerations on the already amorphous wound level definition. Plus this applies to like, any attack which is honestly kind of weird to me. I could see it working on physical attacks, that makes sense to me thematically. But how does getting a few wounds make something like Kin stronger?

Did a complete retool.

始解“Shi Kai”
Release Command: 建つ (Tatsu or Stand)

Release form: As he enters shikai his outfit is modified to fit more of the gladiatorial fight style he has grown to become accustomed to. His upper body is clad in a simple chainmail suit, his hands bore simple gauntlets. His lower body is only clad in a sturdy leather pants and boots. Hi wakizashi shatters to form a simple round buckler on his right arm, as his left arm gauntlet is slightly larger as if it was made to be weapon of its own.

Riposte (Attack): Lucas can pay 5% of his reiatsu to reduce the speed of the next physical strike directed at him, as well as empowering his shield by the same amount. Can not be used in the same turn as Mage Slayer.

Mage Slayer (Attack): Sometimes, it is in the best interest to redirect or reflect an attack. He is capable of paying 5% reiatsu to create a film over his shield. When it comes in contact with a reiatsu based projectile, should the strength of the film be greater than than that of the projectile it is reflected back at its caster, otherwise it is only weakened by the cost. Can not be used in the same turn as Riposte.

卍解“Ban Kai”Saul, the Last Defender
Form:The simple chainmail shirt, leather pants and boots are replaced with a full body suit of plate mail. Covering his body from head to toe, though he usually goes without the helmet. The suit of armor is grey in color, as each piece of the suit is engraved with runes which at a glance are undecipherable. His weapons are modified as the large gauntlet is replaced by a second shield to match the one on his right arm. Both shields have grown in size. The centers of the shield are a bright shiny silver with a band of bold around the outside rim. This band of gold is also formed to have razor sharp jagged teeth, much like those on a buzzsaw.

Duality (Ability): When Lucas enters Bankai, he is able to choose between one of two stances; Guardian or Paladin. While in Guardian Stance, all physical damage directed at Lucas is reduced by 33%, while all magical damage is increased by the same amount. While in Paladin Stance, the opposite is true, with magical damage being reduced by 33% and physical damage being increased by the same amount. Lucas can shift stances once per round.

Safeguard (Ability): At the cost of 5% of his reiatsu, Lucas may turn the focus of enemy attacks towards himself, shielding his allies from harm with his own body. While Safeguard is active, any damage dealt to an ally within 10 meters of Lucas will be redirected to him instead. The attack or ability in question will still strike the chosen target, though Lucas himself will receive the damage. The type of ability or attack Lucas can redirect is dependent on his current stance. While in Guardian Stance he can redirect physical damage to himself, while in Paladin Stance he can redirect magical damage. This ability lasts for 2 turns before dissipating. While Safeguard is active, Lucas cannot change stances.

Counter (Attack): If Lucas is in Guardian Stance all incoming physical attacks are slowed by 5% of his reiatsu increasing the time he has to react to incoming attacks. He is also capable of paying 5% reiatsu to increase his Hakuda by that same amount to counter and parry incoming attacks for that round. If Lucas is in Paladin Stance he capable of replicating his earlier ability in shikai. By paying 5% reiatsu is can create an identical film over his shield that specifically reacts to reiatsu based abilities striking it. Should the film be stronger than the ability it is negated and trapped within allowing Lucas to fire the ability back at no cost. Only one ability can be trapped within his shield at a time.

Last Stand (Attack): A final display of Saul’s defensive prowess, Lucas can spend 15% reiatsu to activate Last Stand, vastly increasing the effects of Duality for a brief period of time. While Last Stand is active, Lucas is capable of reflecting damage of the resistant type back upon his enemies. While in Guardian Stance, Markus takes no physical damage, instead reflecting 50% of the damage dealt to him by a physical attack or ability back at its user. While in Paladin Stance, Markus takes no magical damage, instead reflecting 50% of the damage dealt to him by a magical attack or ability back at its user. In both cases, damage of the opposing type is increased by an additional 17%, making Last Stand a double-edged sword. The effect of Last Stand lasts for a single round, and can only be activated once per chapter or collab.

Resubbing my shikai since returning.

[Murasaki]
- 紫色“Violet”

“Burst into the Ambient Air, Murasaki!”

When released, Murasaki begins to twist and contort, it’s form expanding to take on the shape of a large and ornately designed scimitar. The dorsal edge and flat of the blade are dotted with a number of small vents leading to the interior of the mostly-hollow weapon. Despite this, Murasaki does not appear to suffer any decrease in durability or usability.

Upon release, the holes dotting the surface of the blade begin to exude a thick purple smoke. When the blade is held still, the substance appears to gather in a small cloud around the weapon. However, when the sword is swung (or when Tokiwa moves), the fog trails behind the blade in a thick plume, reaching up to fifteen meters from its point of origin before dissipating.

Ability: Koumeiro

Though the smoke created by Murasaki may appear innocuous at first glance, it is in reality the focus of the zanpakutou’s considerable power. By paying 5% of her reiatsu, Tokiwa can solidify the trails of smoke created by Murasaki, compressing the purple, fog-like reishi into a mass of gleaming steel. This effect lasts for up to three rounds following activation and applies to any additional smoke generated by Murasaki during the duration of the technique. The constructs created by Koumeiro have a durability equal to the reiatsu paid into the ability.

Attack: Aoimeiro

While Koumeiro is adept at defending and entrapping foes, the true offensive capabilities of Murasaki are the focus of Aoimeiro. After using Koumeiro, Tokiwa can force an additional 10% of her reiatsu into the solidified construct, detonating the mass of steel like a bomb and spreading deadly shrapnel over a three meter area surrounding Murasaki’s tail, dealing damage equal to the cost of Aoimeiro as well as the remaining durability of Koumeiro. Aoimeiro can only be activated once every other turn.

Vizard Attack: Akameiro

When masked, Tokiwa gains access to a variety of Hollow-borne techniques and abilities, with the unfortunate side-effect of allowing her demon to gain influence over her. Nowhere is this corruption more evident than in the Hollow’s effect on Murasaki. While masked, by generating 10% Rage, Tokiwa can imbue Murasaki with her Hollow power, causing the smoke generated by her zanpakutou to take on a deep red hue. While in this state, if Tokiwa activates Koumeiro, the ability converts the plume of discordant reishi into a brilliant wall of burning, crimson energy; not unlike a Cero. This trail of energy, much like its Hollow-borne counterpart, cuts and burns anything that comes into contact with it. Akameiro is valued at the cost paid for Koumeiro, plus an additional 10%, representing the Rage generated by the ability. Akameiro can only be used once per masking, with Tokiwa gaining an additional use every 5,000 Reiatsu to a maximum of five uses.

CALM DOWN PEOPLE.

Saul -
Shikai - Approved

Bankai - Approved w/Changes

Duality -
I was talking to Alan about this. To allow the other abilities to have the strong power-budget, the stance shifts are going to happen in response to what the enemy throws at you. I.E. if you intercept the right abilities you get a really good damage reduction. Predict wrong and you get hurt. Adds a bit of a prediction game between you and your opponent. It’ll be based off the last ability that you get hit by/intercept and the stance change is permanent until the shift is forced again. As follows:

Duality -

When Lucas enters Bankai, he is able to choose between one of two stances; Guardian or Paladin. While in Guardian Stance, all physical damage directed at Lucas is reduced by 33%, while all magical damage is increased by the same amount. While in Paladin Stance, the opposite is true, with magical damage being reduced by 33% and physical damage being increased by the same amount. The stance Lucas shifts to is based off the last ability that hit him that round.

Safeguard - Approved with Changes

Make it last 1 turn and put a turn cd between uses. More of an OH SHIT button than something that should be always up.

Counter - Approved w/Changes

Counter (Attack) -

If Lucas is in Guardian Stance his ability to read and parse oncoming physical attacks is greatly amplified. Furthermore, physical attacks approaching him are dramatically slowed, reducing the damage of the attack by the cost paid in. This ability costs 5% of Lucas’ reiatsu to activate.

Only one ability can be trapped within his shield at a time and can only be held for two turns before dissipating.

Last Stand - Approved w/Changes

Last Stand (Attack) -

A final display of Saul’s defensive prowess, Lucas can spend 15% reiatsu to activate Last Stand, vastly increasing the effects of Duality for a brief period of time.

In both cases, damage of the opposing type is increased by an additional 50%, making Last Stand a double-edged sword. The effect of Last Stand lasts for a single round, and can only be activated once per chapter or collab.

Murasaki - Approved w/Changes

Gonna just edit the abilities to make them more in line with weapon creation stuff. I.E i’m giving it a size per use.

Koumeiro -

Though the smoke created by Murasaki may appear innocuous at first glance, it is in reality the focus of the zanpakutou’s considerable power. By paying 5% of her reiatsu, Tokiwa can solidify the trails of smoke created by Murasaki, compressing the purple, fog-like reishi into a mass of gleaming steel. She can solidify a volume no bigger than 7 ft x 7ft x 7ft. The constructs created by Koumeiro have a durability equal to the reiatsu paid into the ability and dissipate once they have taken damage equal to their durability.

Aoimeiro -

While Koumeiro is adept at defending and entrapping foes, the true offensive capabilities of Murasaki are the focus of Aoimeiro. After using Koumeiro, Tokiwa can force an additional 10% of her reiatsu into the solidified construct, detonating the mass of steel like a bomb and spreading deadly shrapnel over a ten meter area surrounding Murasaki’s tail, dealing damage equal to the cost of Aoimeiro as well as the remaining durability of Koumeiro. Aoimeiro can only be activated once every other turn.

Akameiro -

Akameiro is valued at the cost paid for Koumeiro, plus reiatsu equivalent to the rage cost.

requirements: 3000 Reiatsu

Lightning blade:
Trained style:

Big Battery: This first technique allows the user to draw in electrical energy around their body as a solid force, the lightning forms a visual coating of sorts around their entire body. This manifests as electrical storm around them that works as a shield against physical and rei based attacks. Any blow that cannot pierce this energy field is deflected in the direction it came, along with delivering an electrical charge to the victim. This ability costs a 5% turn upkeep.

Bolt Saber:
For 8% Rei per activation, a practitioner can extend or strengthen their personal energy field in the form of temporary blades of lightning in a 3m radius. These arcs of lightning can lance off of any part of the body, and can be used for offense or defense as they are able to cut through many mundane objects and rei based materials with a lower base cost than themselves. When contact is made, the victim also receives an electrical discharge into their system.

Final Technique: Thunderstorm~

Cost: 20% Reiatsu
By focusing the electrical field around the user's body into a single point anywhere on their weapon, when that point makes contact it drops a heavy bolt of lightning on the victim, along with the full blunt of the user's blade. This causes severe burns and blisters on the opponent's skin, a minor paralyzing effect, and a knock back 3m. Because of the large amount of energy, focus, and skill to sustain this concentrated energy, this technique can only be used once per 3000 kidou.
Requirements~Mastery of Lightning Blade, 3000 kidou, 5000 Zanjutsu.

Training~ To learn this style you must find a master willing to teach you. Training entails learning to solidify reiatsu as lighting and gathering it around your body as an extension. To be considered a master you must have documented uses of all the techniques in 5 collabs with word counts over 2000.

Buying a resub to make Feng's bankai make more coherent sense with the rest of his kit and with my original idea for the thing"

Bankai: Ekibyou no Suisei (Plague of this Decadent World)

Form:

Upon announcing bankai, nothing at all appears to happen to Feng’s weapon, it remains the same as his shikai form. Instead, by paying an additional 15% reiatsu on top of bankai bonus, he is able to drag his zanpakutou spirit into the physical realm.

This living manifestation of the former assassin’s spirit is a monstrous 10m tall amalgamation of pestilence and disease. The actual body of Ekibyou’s form is of a giant emaciated man though its flesh appears a sickly green. His eyes are sunken black pits, and throughout his body are weeping sores. The being wields a massive pair of 5m long blades similar to the weapon in the shinigami’s own hands. Both the weapons and sores appear to leak the same black substance that drains from Feng’s weapon and once it hits the ground it too evaporates.

Ekibyou’s Stats are as follows:
Rage: 60%
Sonido: 40%
Ability: 0%

Contagion Engine:

Ekibyou feeds off of success, and is capable of gaining strength as it notices weakness within his opponents. After a successful hit, Ekibyou may pay 400 reiatsu to birth from itself four perfect replicants of Feng himself. The clones mirror his current state complete with bleeding wounds. They ultimately are not much of physical threat and cannot inflict more than scratches. However, any attacks from them count as though Ekibyou himself has made them for the sake of all abilities. A maximum of 12 bacterial colonies may be present at any given time. Should Feng elect to summon more, the already existing colonies begin fading starting with the oldest. The colonies all move relative to Feng's own Hohou stat and the speed of their assaults are equal to his zanjutsu. However, the colonies are much weaker and cannot inflict wounds greater than light scratches. Attacks by the creatures effect each other following the multiweapon rules however Feng or Ekibyou themselves are not influenced by what the colonies do.

Blighted Purge:

While many think of the bacterial colonies Feng and Ekibyou create are nothing more than nuisances, they forget that these act as loci for the greater plague being to draw power from. By paying 5% reiatsu, Ekibyou is able to sacrifice all colonies which have been on the field for at least a round. It then resonates with its own vile energies letting out a massive rotten blast targeting all enemies in a base 10m radius. For every two clones that Ekibyou is able to devour the attack's potency grows by 1% and its range increases by a meter.

Desecration:

The colonies crafted by Ekibyou are hotbeds of infection, their virulence able to grow exponentially as they are left unchecked. Once a colony matures, that is it survives a round on the field, it is able to be used to carry its virulence. By paying 3% reiatsu either Feng or Ekibyou are able to detonate the colony. Those unfortunate enough to be within 3m of the blast inhale numerous disease particles. This acts quickly showing up almost immediately as quarter-sized pockmarks filled with black liquid covering their extremities. The following turn these pox burst burning a cost equal to the detonation cost as the victims’ body attempts to hold off further infection.

Sk and Old BK

Ekibyou (Plague)

Release Phrase: Defile, Ekibyou.

Form: Feng’s normal katana morphs into a five foot long extremely thin scimitar the center of which appears hollow. From the tip, if it is held stationary, the black sword appears to weep a similar colored liquid onto the ground which dissipates shortly thereafter.

Ability: Akueki (Epidemic)

The true nature of Feng’s kai is far more sinister than it appears at first glance. Rather than metal, the entire blade is composed of countless bacteria joined together by Feng’s reiatsu. When encountering any living being, sword strikes from Feng’s zanpakutou appear to do absolutely no damage and fade right through the opponent. However, the bacteria latch on to the enemy traveling through even the smallest of pores to enter and begin to incubate. At any time once this happens Feng may pay 100 reiatsu each to summon forth up to 3 fully mature bacterial colonies per inflicted wound. A maximum of 6 bacterial colonies may be present at any given time. Should Feng elect to summon more, the already existing colonies begin fading starting with the oldest.

Each being is roughly Feng’s own height mimicking his appearance complete with replica zanpakutou, however the bacteria have one notable difference. The eyes of the colonies are jet black and can be seen moving due to the movement of the bacteria. The beings leave the enemy’s body causing the damage the sword strike should have dealt as it exits (reduced as required due to damage reduction techniques and dealt only once regardless of how many clones emerge). Each colony acts as the zanpakutou itself continuing the cycle of attacks, though they may be dissipated if hit with an attack stronger than their makeup. The colonies all move relative to Feng's own Hohou stat and the speed of their assaults are equal to his zanjutsu. However, the colonies are much weaker and cannot inflict wounds greater than light scratches. Attacks by the creatures effect each other following the multiweapon rules however Feng himself is not influenced by what his colonies do.

Both the weapons and sores appear to leak the same black substance that drains from Feng’s weapon and once it hits the ground it too evaporates.

Combat: 60%

Ability: 0%

However, the colonies are much weaker and cannot inflict wounds greater than light scratches. Attacks by the creatures effect each other following the multiweapon rules however Feng or Ekibyou themselves are not influenced by what the colonies do.

Pandemic:

Unique to the monster’s swings are the numerous different microbes that compose its very being. Upon successful hit by Ebikyou, Feng may elect to have the creation spend 5% of its reiatsu to catalyze colonization of the microbes to fester within the wound. They quickly migrate into the victim’s bloodstream where they deal their true damage.

This particular disease causes rapid destabilization of reishi within its victim. However, the effects are highly specific and quick acting. A successful hit will cause the effectiveness of the first reiatsu using ability used by the victim during the next round to be reduced by the cost paid. The body becomes resistant to multiple exposures so Ebikyou must wait a round before reinfecting the same target.

Pathogenic Evolution:

Ekibyou thrives on delivering lingering damage upon those foolish enough to stand before him. By paying 2% reiatsu per inflicted strike, the monstrosity is able to leave behind a portion of its own corruption. The colony begins to fester and divide, though the victim’s body is far less suited to being a host than Feng’s own.In two rounds the wound necrosis a further stage growing larger and more vile. As the decaying flesh festers the wound weeps blood and pus in an attempt flush out the area. Accompanying the horrific display is the equally disturbing pain as the bacteria eat away at the victim's flesh.

Mechanically, two rounds after the strike the infected wound upgrades in severity until it reaches major. In game, the wound simply grows larger and deeper. The weeping ichor that runs from tainted wounds similarly increases in severity. While not lethal on its own, the wounds the ability is able to inflict, both mentally and physically, are more than sufficient. Attempts to heal the diseased strike must first overcome the beasts corruption before they are able to treat the wound increasing the cost of treatment by the cost of the attack.

Resubmitting Bankai for Kiro Shenrai

Bankai - Kiro Shenrai
[ Kegirai Sabigyoushou ] - "Antipathic Rustmonger"
[ Form ]

As the utterance of 'Bankai' is made, Kiro's zanpakuto disintegrates. Permeating a 15m diameter about him, the ground darkens and rots into a wasteland. The slightest breeze blows away the oxidized particles, leaving naught but flakes of rust.

Kiro dons a modest, rust-red gauntlet that runs up and past his elbow. Ending in jagged ends, it is the arm he holds his blade in. The orange hue of his eyes darkens to a muddy brown, and the flakes of rust produced by Kegirai Sabigyoushou appear to naturally conform around his body, pushing against the winds to swirl about him.

[ Form - Kiriku ] - "Crude Land"

Kiriku is considered the 'primary' form of Kegirai Sabigyoushou. When initially released, Kiro's ability to direct its corrosive powers is unfocused. Within its initial, 15m diameter, a persistent corrosive aura shields him from all attacks, valued at 2% of his total reiatsu. This applies to all attacks separately.

Each attack that finds itself drained of power through Kiriku generates a charge (also valued at 2% of his reiatsu) for Kiro's Bankai, up to a total of three charges per round. Paying 1000 of his reiatsu, he may amplify the aura's strength for a single round by the amount paid.

[ Form - Kikawa ] - "Crude Shell"

Kikawa is the 'protective' form of Kegirai Sabigyoushou. Kikawa may be activated once Kegirai Sabigyoushou has generated at least three charges over the course of battle. Paying 4% of his reiatsu, Kiro may opt to use up to three charges with the form, adding the total value of the charges used to the total output of the form.

The flakes of rust from Kiriku coalesce, forming into a serrated ribcage centered around Kiro. Anything that attempts to contact the ribcage - be it physical matter, or spiritual-based matter - suffers damage equal the amount paid into the form. Attacks or abilities suffer a reduction in efficacy, while constructs or matter is rotted away. Kikawa degenerates normally as per barrier rules.

[ Form - Kisentou ] - "Crude Spire"

Kisentou is the 'retaliatory' form of Kegirai Sabigyoushou. Kisentou may be activated once Kegirai Sabigyoushou has generated at least five charges over the course of battle. Paying 2% of his reiatsu per activation, Kiro may opt to use a single charge with each activation of the form, adding the total value of the charges used to the total output of the form.

The flakes of rust from Kiriku gather about Kiro, forming into a massive claw that springs from the ground near him. Up to two claws may be created at any one time, and each lasts until destroyed. Each claw unleashes a small venomous payload upon wounding an opponent, dealing 1% of Kiro's total reiatsu over the following round per hit.

A claw's durability is determined by its total output, and is susceptible to melee strikes.

[ Form - Kikenzou ] - “Crude Viscera Blade”

Kikenzou is considered the ‘epitome’ stage of Kegirai Sabigyoushou. Kikenzou may be activated once Kegirai Sabigyoushou has generated at least seven charges over the course of battle. Paying 10% of his reiatsu per activation, Kiro may opt to use up to five charges with each activation of the form, adding the total value of the charges used to the total output of the form.

The flakes of Kegirai Sabigyoushou form into a serrated, flamberge-esque blade to be wielded by Kiro’s gauntleted hand. Once swung, the blade may unleash a miasma of rust and corrosive energy that rots away anything in its path. Travelling for 15m to the edge of his Bankai's radius, the miasma is treated as an airborne poison that seeps around any straightforward barriers or obstructions.

Coming into contact with the wave causes extreme anguish, rotting away at skin and muscle to cause damage equal to the amount of reiatsu paid into the blade over the following round. Unleashing the wave expends all of Kikenzou's power, dissipating the form.

Ye Olde Shikai and Bankai
Sabigyoushou
An unassuming blade, the only trait of note in Sabigyoushou’s sealed form is its short length. Little more than a wakizashi, the rust-colored cloth of its hilt has a simple box guard to accompany it, a thin knot at the base of the blade denoting where the cloth ends.

As Kiro releases his shikai, his blade immediately rusts away. Turned into liquid rust, two rust-coloured orbs denote the released weapon.

Tenraku - "Degradation"
When Sabigyoushou's released form comes into contact with a physical object, it immediately begins to corrode and break down the object. Items bereft of spiritual energy are broken down near-instantly. Upon coming into contact with constructs or abilities of a spiritual nature, Tenraku siphons 5% of Kiro's reiatsu into a corrosive reaction. This reduces the efficacy or durability of the construct/ability by the amount paid in. If an ability or construct is reduced below its total imbued reiatsu by Tenraku, it is neutralized.

Upon fully neutralizing an ability or construct, Sabigyoushou receives a charge to be used with Saihenken.

Saihenken - "Slag Blade"
As Sabigyoushou breaks down objects, it receives charges to its released form - shown by a pulse of energy from the orbs as the charge is received. By paying 3% of his reiatsu per charge used, and expending up to 5 charges, Kiro may create a blade of molten slag and jagged rust, emerging from Sabigyoushou's released form to be wielded by hand.

Objects that attempt to block the blade are subject to Tenraku's corrosion - and wounds dealt by the Saihenken are similarly corrosive. Wounds deal damage equal to 5% of Kiro's reiatsu over the following round, by rotting away the affected area. Each wound expends one charge, and once all the charges used to create the blade are used up, it will disintegrate again and rejoin the orbs of rust.

Kegirai Sabigyoushou
As the utterance of 'Bankai' is made, Kiro's zanpakuto disintegrates. Permeating a 30m radius about him, the ground darkens and rots into a wasteland.

Kiriku - "Crude Land"
Kiriku is considered the 'primary' form of Kegirai Sabigyoushou. When initially released, Kiro's ability to direct its corrosive powers is unfocused. Within its initial, 30m diameter, he may pay 5% of his reiatsu to express Kegirai's powers over either a single target or the entire area in a flurry of rust flakes.

If a single target is selected, the amount of reiatsu paid is taken from the selected ability, reducing its efficacy by the amount paid in. If expressed upon the entire area of Kiriku, the amount of reiatsu paid is split equally amongst attacks within range, reducing their efficacy by the amount paid in.

If Kiriku fails to degrade the intended target, Kiro may pay 2% more of his reiatsu on subsequent rounds to improve the effect by that amount. Once the degradation is successful, Kiriku returns to its base cost. Any abilities that are degraded to zero reiatsu are outright negated, generating a single charge for Kegirai Sabigyoushou.

Kikawa - "Crude Shell"
Kikawa is the 'transitional' form of Kegirai Sabigyoushou. Kikawa may be activated once Kegirai Sabigyoushou has generated at least two charges over the course of battle. Paying 5% of his reiatsu per charge used for the form, Kiro's bankai reconfigures into a much more condensed, defensive form.

The flakes of rust from Kiriku coalesce, forming into a serrated ribcage centered around Kiro. Anything that attempts to contact the ribcage (be it physical matter, or spiritual-based matter) suffers damage equal the amount paid into the form. Attacks or abilities suffer a reduction in efficacy, while constructs or matter is rotted away.

Every contact made expends one charge, and once all charges used to create the Kikawa are expended, it disintegrates.

Kisentou - "Crude Spire"
Kisentou is the 'retaliatory' form of Kegirai Sabigyoushou. Kisentou may be activated once Kegirai Sabigyoushou has generated at least three charges over the course of battle. Paying 3% of his reiatsu per charge used for the form, Kiro’s bankai remains at its standard range, but becomes a more vicious, offensive form.

The flakes of rust from Kiriku gather about Kiro, forming into a number of vicious claws. A single claw is formed for every charge imparted into Kisentou - and each claw may extend up to the 30m range of Kegirai Sabigyoushou. Kisentou is a much more refined, and focused method of delivering its corrosive payload. The hands move at the speed of Kiro’s Hakuda, but act of their own volition to attack enemies. Wounds inflicted by the Kisentou deal 5% of Kiro’s reiatsu in damage over two rounds, rotting away the infected area.

Every wound inflicted expends an arm’s charge, causing it to disintegrate.

Kikenzou - "Crude Viscera Blade"
Kikenzou is considered the ‘epitome’ stage of Kegirai Sabigyoushou. Kikenzou may be activated once Kegirai Sabigyoushou has generated at least four charges over the course of battle. Paying 10% of his reiatsu per charge used for the form, Kiro’s bankai shrinks to a 10m range (limiting the range of any additional forms while in use) and enters a hyper-condensed state.

The flakes of Kegirai Sabigyoushou form into a serrated, flamberge-esque blade to be wielded by Kiro’s gauntleted hand. Once swung, the blade unleashes a miasma of rust and corrosive energy that rots away anything in its path. Travelling for 10m to the edge of the condensed bankai radius, the miasma is treated as an airborne poison that seeps around any straightforward barriers or obstructions.

Coming into contact with the wave causes extreme anguish, rotting away at skin and muscle to cause damage equal to 10% of Kiro’s reiatsu over the following round. Unleashing a wave expends a single charge from Kikenzou, with the blade dissipating once all charges are used.

Lunalai

When no reishi is flowing through it, Lunalai takes the form of a black parachute cord bracelet. The design of it is similar to those worn by American military personnel. While it cannot be completely removed from its owner due to the reiatsu link, it can be adjusted via the strap to allow for repositioning on the arm.

Once Tama starts manipulating reishi, the bracelet shifts and takes the form of a brown bracer with a black circle inscribed on its back. Within the circle, there is a dharma wheel surrounded by images of the various phases of the moon, all of which are done in brown leather.

Large image
darma_wheel_and_moon_phases_leather_bracer_by_primitve-d5izenh.jpg
The bow itself is reminiscent of a crescent moon, complete with the soft glow that the moon emits. It is a very thin bow, giving it the appearance of a more defined energy bow, but Lunalai is every bit as solid as any other Sanrei bow. Whenever an arrow is fired from it, a faint wolf’s howl can be heard.

Yet another large image
bisharrow_zpsa7ebf202.jpg

Wolf's Stride

Underneath the endless light of the moon, the wolf runs endlessly. The bow is not as flashy and destructive as its kin, but nevertheless its power is not to be underestimated. Tama cannot become fatigued while his bow is released. He can run, maneuver, and exert himself at peak physical capacity indefinitely. He can still be harmed, as he is human, but he will never grow tired as a result of intense physical activity.

Ekibyou - Approved though it’s creepy as hell now

Sabigyoushou - Resubmit

Kikawa -
Wording is weird since it seems like you want this like barrier that can also deal damage at the same time. That’s a bit weird since this is already a pretty scarily strong shield. Reduce the base shield to 2% so it doesn’t scale up so intensely when factored in with the ability. Secondly, it’s going to function as a normal barrier so you don’t blow back damage equal to the shield cost anymore. I’m fine with physical attacks causing the corrosive influences to hit the person but not at the level of the possible 8% rei .

Kisentou -
I’m kind of confused about the whole ‘adding to the total value of total charges’. It’s a bit vauge as in do you mean that all charges ever used for this stack on top each other. Also ditch that last sentence because it’s kind of unnecessary. It’s a construct so it’ll be broken anyway when a strong enough melee attack or rei attack hits it.

Lunalai - Resubmit

Bish. Wtf is a Lunalai. I tried googling it. All I got were like facebook accounts from people in like Taiwan. So this bow is underwhelming. Like in this RP it takes people a silly amount of time to get fatigued and it’s more about the fact that they’re running off like 1K rei at that point as opposed to getting tired because they ran and jumped around a lot. I’m not sure this is worth it to fill the slot.

This ribcage follows all barrier rules, but Kiro may choose to augment Kikawa by paying three charges upon creation of the barrier. The charges deal damage equal to their total power to all who come into contact with the barrier.

Up to two claws may be created at any one time, and each lasts until destroyed. Each claw unleashes a small venomous payload upon wounding an opponent, dealing 1% of Kiro's total reiatsu over the following round per hit. Kiro may augment each claw separately upon creation, paying one charge per claw to increase the amount of damage the claw deals.

Paying 10% of his reiatsu, the flakes of Kegirai Sabigyoushou form into a serrated, flamberge-esque blade to be wielded by Kiro’s gauntleted hand. Kiro may augment this form of his Bankai by paying five charges, imparting their total power to Kikenzou.

Adding a final ability to Shikai. Replacing the final attack of Bankai with another.

Original

Shikai

Name
Tatsunokuchi (竜の口, Dragon-Headed Gargoyle)

Release Command
"Time to eat" (食べるべき時間, taberu jikan)

Form
Tatsunokuchi transforms into a large, double-edged cleaver-like sword that is taller than Manzou himself; the blade is nearly one and a half-meters long and shoulder width-wide, while the handle is half of a meter-long. There are two fangs at the top of the blade that curve inwards towards each other, one twice as long as the other. The crossguard is a thick, sectioned, flat hexagonal-like shape. The handle is connected to a beveled piece beneath the crossguard and is wrapped in bandages with a small dragon-head statue as the pommel.

The striking features of Tatsunokuchi’s shikai are the large fanged mouth aligned vertically along the blade surface and the tongue that protrudes from it; these features do not appear once the shikai is released, instead coming forth when the appropriate ability is used or at Manzou’s will. The mouth sits vertically on the flat side of the blade and is lined with fangs that can bite down on what comes within its reach. The tongue is thick and dotted with pore-like taste buds which secrete a foul stench that none except Manzou can bare. It is rounded at the end like a human’s rather than split like a dragon’s and can withstand and deal a great amount of damage. The natural constitution of it is sticky with the saliva of the mouth compounding this. The sword is as heavy as it is large, though, Manzou can wield it with great proficiency.
  • Mizuma (水魔, Disastrous Flood): Viscous saliva with a profound stench that none but the user can bare can be released from the blade’s mouth, either spit out or secreted from the mouth’s tongue; both forms of release have a maximum range of 20 meters and initially costs Manzou 5% of his maximum Reiatsu. Within the saliva are a countless number of microscopic parasites that seep instantly into the skin of the opponent upon contact and begin to feed on their insides, costing Manzou 5% Reiatsu for up to 2 more rounds. With each round that they continuously feed, they grow hundreds of times in size with the amount of flesh they consume increasing in proportion to their size; the maximum size in which that can grow is relatively the size of a large locust.

These parasites not only consume the opponent’s flesh from the inside, but their Reiatsu as well, the amount they consume equal to 15% of Manzou’s Reiatsu. This amount of Reiatsu is consumed after 3 consecutive rounds before they eat their way to the surface and die. They appear as a small undeveloped gargoyle with the head of a dragon. These dead organisms retain the reiatsu initially imbued in them by Manzou; the Reiatsu siphoned from the opponent is dispersed, unavailable to either party afterward. This Reiatsu can be absorbed through Manzou directly ingesting them or by the blade mouth ingesting them and then transferring the reiatsu to Manzou.
  • Nomihoudai (飲み放題, Bottomless Cup): After paying 10% Reiatsu, the blade mouth explodes to nearly three times its size and creates a void in which anything that is eaten by it disappears into, essentially nullifying the attack. This mainly applies to all directly-offensive Reiatsu-based attacks (such as both categories of Kidou and Cero), but this also includes physical forms of reishi- and kishi-based matter as well. Tatsunokuchi can either catch projectile attacks in its maw, physically eat away at physical bindings around Manzou, or break the reishi down by literally licking it with its tongue. Any attack less than the cost paid is absorbed into the void.

Bankai
Name
Nusuma no Hitsugi Tatsunokuchi (盗まの棺竜の口, Pilfered Coffin of the Dragon-Headed Gargoyle)

Form
Manzou forcefully throws his Zanpakutou into the ground which depresses the ground violently, creating a circular pit 30m in radius and 30m deep. As the depression stops, one-by-one and row-by-row, dragon-headed gargoyle spouts burst from the cylindrical wall of the pit from bottom-up, each spout relatively the size of a human’s head. From the quadrants of the circular pit's bluff, four massive dragon-headed statues emerge from the ground, looming over the combatants below.

A black substance with the consistency of water, the animation of life, and the acidity of sulfuric acid slithers backwards out of each of the dragon spouts and quickly carves an intricate mural into the wall of the pit. These planar depictions of beings, both fictional and not, then protrude from the surface as three-dimensional sculptures. Each effigy represents a person that Manzou has slain in his lifetime, with more added for each time someone's life is taken by Tatsunokuchi's blade. A supernal shadow emerges, shrouding the walls and the volume of the pit itself from those standing all from its walls and outside the coffin's confines.

A single sword emerges from the ground directly in front of Manzou much the same in appearance as his Shikai with small differences. There is no thread or cloth for the hilt, only a long, straight black handle, nor is there a cross-guard. The blade itself is mostly the same, though the gums and teeth in the mouth on the blade are now the same black metal as the blade. Unlike the blade tongue of the Shikai, however, Nusuma Tatsunokuchi’s tongue is now composed of amorphous black metal with a dragon’s head; it is flexible and moves independently, attacking up to 5m away like the weighted end of a kusarigama.

  • Jusui (入水, Suicide by Drowning): The dragon-headed gargoyles begin to spew putrid, dark-green bile that pools on the floor of the pit. By paying 5% reiatsu, Manzou can induce additional bile, filling the pit up to ankle deep at the end of the round; if paid a second time, the bile will rise to the knees at the end of another round. Movement through the nauseating sludge is difficult, even for Manzou; at ankle-level, standard movement is reduced by one quarter, and only high-speed techniques like shunpo can move normally; at knee-level, standard speed is reduced by one half, and attempting to use high-speed techs will sap 5% of Manzou's reiatsu from the user. The bile will only drain upon Manzou's will, at the same rate it took to fill.
  • Shoushinjisatsu (焼き払う, Suicide by Fire/Burning One’s Self to Death): By coating the amorphous black tongue with additional saliva, at the cost of 10% reiatsu, if Manzou successfully wounds an enemy, that saliva clings to the wound. The thick, acerbic fluid burns at the victim's body, sending agony coursing through them for up to three rounds. This saliva is slightly viscous, intensely putrid and extremely caustic. While enduring the agony, the victim must pay an amount equal to 3% of Manzou's reiatsu for each technique used. By flooding the wound with reiatsu equal to that used by Manzou, however, they can neutralize the disgusting slime immediately.
  • Chinamagusai (血生臭い, Bloody Stench): From each of the mouths of the gargoyle spout, a smell akin to that of a decomposed body is released. It is a nauseating smell that anyone other than Manzou is hindered by, tainting anyone else’s senses of sight, smell, and taste. By paying 10% of his reiatsu, Manzou can launch a giant wad of yellow-brown phlegm, from his own mouth or the sword mouth, with an even worse stench that is physically debilitating. Anyone within 5m of the phlegm must pay 5% of Manzou's reiatsu per round in order to remain conscious; the phlegm is extremely viscid and glutinous, and if it lands on an enemy is impossible to completely remove. The highly concentrated smell lasts for up to three rounds.
  • Kawatarou no Bekkan (川太郎の別館, Annex of the River-Child): Manzou can remotely control any of the dragon-headed gargoyle spouts lining the cylindrical wall of the pit, forcing them to become amorphous and aim anywhere within the pit. These gargoyles spouts are capable of spewing a stream of highly caustic gastric acid. This ability costs 2% reiatsu and can only be used once per round, with one gargoyle. The concentrated acid burns for the entire round before being neutralized.

This creature is, in a way, autonomous from Manzou, and is able to perceive Reiatsu-based threats that are directly made on its wielder. Upon perceiving the threat of an ability or attack, Mizuchi gives off a sharp shrill of a growl, which creates a sort of vacuum of spiritual particles, instantly redirecting the ability or attack to itself.

This applies to all Reiatsu-based abilities or attacks that pass within the 5m diameter of Mizuchi, the entire tongue itself being fully 20 feet in length. This applies to all abilities which target a specific individual; this does not, however, include area-of-effect abilities or physical attacks. Abilities that are stronger than +25% of the cost paid for Mizumay only be redirected as long as they pass within 2m of the dragon's head. This ability lasts for three rounds before it must be repaid again to reactivate. The shrill itself is loud enough that it can momentarily draw an opponent's attention or, at least, disrupt their focus.

Upon drawing the ability to itself, Mizuchi and the entire tongue of the blade are flushed with a red hue, as if full of blood. After the fact, the blade mouth may bite down through the tongue or Manzou may physically detach it himself. Another tongue can be grown within Tatsunokuchi free of cost.

Containing his remaining Reiatsu, these creatures then race toward the opponent and detonate themselves, resulting in an utterly massive explosion large enough to engulf nearly everything in the pit.

SNAP INTO A SLIMJIM

Initial Awakening for Tsao Chen

Chaozhi Zhan - Battle Tendency

Form

Upon initialization Chaozhi Zhan bestows to Chen a unique aura only he can see.

Ability : Douzhi - Fighting Spirit

Douzhi requires 3% of Chen’s reiatsu per round to remain active. All allies within a twenty-five meter radius of Chen will become imbued with the overwhelming will to fight until their opponent is toppled.

Additionally, they will become capable of following up any ability/attack with an additional attack at the full value of their relevant combat statistic.

Ability : Zhengchao - Brawl

Zhengchao requires 3% of Chen’s reiatsu to activate. For the remainder of the round all allies within a twenty-five meter radius will generate a four-meter shockwave directed at their target with each offensive ability/attack. The concussive damage of the shockwave is equal to the amount paid into Zhengchao and also generates physical force according to Chen’s Combat statistic.

Resonance Ability : Baoli Jizeng - Violent Surge

Baoli Jizeng requires 15% of Chen’s reiatsu to activate and affects all allies within a twenty-five meter radius. For the following three rounds all allies will gain the ability to reduce a single wound up to Moderate by one category each time they successfully land an attack.
