Froggu
Prince of the Pond
Changes:
With the rise of Akio’s final resolve, the Storm Dragon’s true form is called to the realm of the tangible. Upon invocation of Ban Kai, a shimmering wave of azure energy begins to emanate from the blade before it grows to consume Akio in his entirety. In a furious spiral of water that rises to pierce the heavens themselves, Zennyo Ryuou presents himself.
Forgoing the simple form of a basic sword, the Final Release returns the weapon to its form as manifested by the zanpakutou’s previous incarnations: an over-sized spear. Massive in proportion to its wielder, the yari measures a full eleven feet from end to end. The blade deviates from its more traditional counterparts by being significantly larger in comparison, measuring a full four feet long with a width of one foot. It also has a more western design to it, double-edged with a single, triangular point, and is much thicker than is normal. The shaft is round and made of hardwood, covered with black-lacquered bamboo strips to add a glossy and polished appearance. This measures seven feet in total length. Finally, a crescent-shaped blade is embedded into the base of the weapon, attached to the pommel by the outward curve, lending to both slashing and piercing maneuvers, completing the weapon and measuring one foot in length.
[ Daiun Seiu ] - 大雲請雨
(Great Cloud Praying for Rain)
Named after the sutra recited by those who wished to invoke the good-will of the rain god Zentatsu, the ability of Akio’s final release is a testament to the powers of the Dragon King. The manifestation of his desire to heal the world, Zennyo calls forth a great black cloud to take over the skies in his subjugation of heaven. From the mass of coruscating ebony comes a downpour, consuming the radius of the cloud-cover in its entirety and establishing the domain of the Dragon King.
Within his realm of influence Zentatsu has control over all manner of water. The rain, being the most abundant source, is his to control, and by extension, his wielder’s. With a mere thought, Akio can summon vast quantities of water to aid in the creation of any attack or defense imaginable, using the massive spear and his own body as a means to conduct the path and manipulate the shape of the insurmountable quantity of water within his control. In a manner similar to the weapon’s initial release, energy can be applied to any manifested construct, maximizing the potential it has to function as a tool in combat. For this, Akio may pay any amount of energy that may not exceed 15% of his maximum reiatsu in a single turn. Likewise, by paying the cost of any ability that attempts to claim water or ice as an affinity within the domain of the Storm Caller, he may nullify the power, exerting his superior control of the element. The speed, precision, and accuracy of the water-manipulation is determined by Akio’s zanjutsu statistic (including any accumulated bonuses). The radius of the storm is thirty meters.
- Cost and radius of "Daiun Seiu" changed accordingly
- Buffed "Seigetsu" by lowering cost
- Increased cost of "Ryuuga"

[ Seigetsu ] - 霽月
(Moon Shining in a Rain-Cleansed Sky)
With the integration of both wills and powers granted by the ascension to this new level of power, Akio and Zentatsu are capable of achieving perfect harmony between their respective strengths. Through the fusion of their energies they can compound their chosen specialities to create a single, unified ability. By calling forth his mastery over the healing arts, Akio can temporarily influence the vast rain itself, imbuing it with any prepared chiyudou that he has at his disposal (so long as it can be channeled). As a result, the spell will begin to heal wounds based on its parameters, so long as the water makes contact with the injured, and they fall within the storm’s range (Akio included).
While it is true that the rain can breathe life into a land that is wrought with drought, it can cause destruction with the same amount of ease. Known enemies may be excluded from the healing effects of the empowered storm, and instead have their existing wounds begin to degrade progressively based on the description of the spell, provided the water makes contact (the energy restoration is not present during Seigetsu’s adverse effect).
Activating this ability requires that Akio must pay both the cost of the spell and 5% of his reiatsu, and the duration is dependant upon the spell at hand.
[ Tatsubi ] - 竜尾
(Dragon Tail)
Derived from Akio’s desire to protect, not only himself but his allies as well, Tatsubi further represents the powerful bond shared by the mender and his sword spirit. The downpour, as it drenches the battlefield in its entirety, makes the whole of Zentatsu’s domain apart of the technique that allows his wielder to halt any attack that dares to strike against the Dragon King or those under his protection.
Executed by using his own energy as a catalyst, Akio will polarize the blade of his weapon, causing it to function like a magnet for any and all water that falls within a relative radius. Then, by bringing the gargantuan blade of the spear to bear against an incoming attack the water may be released, generating a concussive shock-wave designed to nullify and blast away any offensive (be it of tangible or metaphysical composition). As a result, attacks counteracted by the Dragon’s Tail may be shunted to the side, knocked off-course, or dissipated completely.
This ability requires that Akio pay 15% of his maximum reiatsu. In the case of energy attacks, the ability of Tatsubi to defend is dependant upon cost versus cost. When dealing with physical assaults, relative strength is the determining factor.
[ Ryuuga ] - 竜牙
(Dragon Fang)
Derived from Akio’s will to fight in the name of his ideals, Ryuuga further represents the powerful bond shared by the mender and his sword spirit. Focusing the whole of Zentatsu’s unbridled might, the Dragon’s Fang is the final attack. Exerting his control over the water element, Akio will call forth a sudden surge of energy that will concentrate on the blade of the immense spear, only to be released a moment later in the form of single lance of highly-pressurized water. The deceptively small projectile (congruent to the size of the blade) moves with heightened speed, and strikes with biting accuracy. Designed to slay his opposition from a distance, this attack moves at a speed equal to 1.25x Akio’s zanjutsu (including any accumulated bonuses), and can travel anywhere within the radius of the downpour. Zentatsu's slaying fang may be summoned for 25% of Akio's remaining reiatsu.
