Release Submission Thread

I'm busy so this will be unfortunately curt.

Raph - Change - Degrading spiritual energy/objects give charges, but normal things do not. If its not like this, you can just keep eating mailboxes/the street/soda cans all day and have 'infinite' charges, thus making the point of them moot.

Note: if chargers are harder to come by, they can probably be more potent

Sev - You probably don't have to have a cooldown on this. Other than that, fine (AoE has its own inherent set of perks/drawbacks), and you're paying to amp the range. So, you're good with no cooldown.

Ketch - Approved; Sticky bombs are fun.

Arun - Much like Sev, I don't think a cooldown is needed here. You're paying 5% to make it blowback, but, since you're halving the damage to do it I don't perceive a need for a cooldown.

IA for Markus

Initial Awakening:

Lightning Bolt (0%): Harnessing the power of lightning,Markus is able snap into existence the destructive, and brutal force of nature. His reiatsu reaches out into the air as it twists and contorts to his will. By paying 3% reiatsu a bolt of lightning forms in the air and strikes down the ground anywhere within 20 meters. Markus can call down two of these bolts per turn. Anyone who is struck by a bolt of lighting is positively charged with residual energy, for 3 turns, which is later exploited by other abilities.

Thunder Clap (0%): Nothing resonates louder or more powerful than the sound of Thunder. By making a simple motion of whether clapping his hands, snapping his fingers or clicking his tongue, and paying 5% reiatsu, Markus can generate a powerful outward blast, extending 2 meters, of energy that resonates with the sound of thunder. All those caught in the blast blast are knocked back several feet and are left disoriented and confused for 1 turn, leaving them scrambling to regain their balance.

Focused Lightning (25%): Upon reaching 25% resonance Markus is capable of tapping into the deep well of electrical devastation that resides within him. Once his power has reached such a level he able to manifest a semi-conscious ball of lightning that when released chooses its target and begins to chase them moving at a speed equal to 50% of his Agility. The focused lightning only a short lifespan and will explode in a 10 meter radius effect range in 2 turns of being in existence or when it reaches its target. Manifesting the lightning costs Markus 10% of his reiatsu, and requires a 1 turn cool down between each manifestation. Should the target of Focused Lightning’s wrath be positively charged, the speed at which it chases down its target increases allowing it to move at 75% of Markus’ Agility.

- Tenraku now costs 5% of Kiro's reiatsu
- Tenraku now reduces efficacy/durability of ability/construct it comes into contact with by amount paid in
- Tenraku now generates one charge for Saihenken upon fully neutralizing an ability

Shikai Release - Kiro Shenrai

[ Sabigyoushou ] - "Rustmonger"
[ Release Command - Kuchihateru ] - "Decay"

An unassuming blade, the only trait of note in Sabigyoushou’s sealed form is its short length. Little more than a wakizashi, the rust-colored cloth of its hilt has a simple box guard to accompany it, a thin knot at the base of the blade denoting where the cloth ends.

As Kiro releases his shikai, his blade immediately rusts away. Turned into liquid rust, two rust-coloured orbs held by him denote the released weapon.

[ Tenraku ] - "Degradation"

When Sabigyoushou's released form comes into contact with a physical object, it immediately begins to corrode and break down the object. Items bereft of spiritual energy are broken down near-instantly. Upon coming into contact with constructs or abilities of a spiritual nature, Tenraku siphons 5% of Kiro's reiatsu into a corrosive reaction. This reduces the efficacy or durability of the construct/ability by the amount paid in. If an ability or construct is reduced below its total imbued reiatsu by Tenraku, it is neutralized.

Upon fully neutralizing an ability or construct, Sabigyoushou receives a charge to be used with Saihenken.

[ Saihenken ] - "Slag Blade"

As Sabigyoushou breaks down objects, it receives charges to its released form - shown by a pulse of energy from the orbs as the charge is received. By paying 3% of his reiatsu per charge used, and expending up to 5 charges, Kiro may create a blade of molten slag and jagged rust, emerging from Sabigyoushou's released form to be wielded by hand.

Objects that attempt to block the blade are subject to Tenraku's corrosion - and wounds dealt by the Saihenken are similarly corrosive. Wounds deal damage equal to the amount paid into the ability, over the following round, by rotting away the affected area.

Nameless Awakening
IA for Markus

Initial Awakening:

Lightning Bolt (0%): Harnessing the power of lightning, Markus is able snap into existence the destructive and brutal force of nature. His reiatsu reaches out into the air as it twists and contorts to his will. Once per round, Markus may spend 3% reiatsu to form a bolt of lightning in the air, able to strike at any target within 20m. Anyone who is struck by a bolt of lighting is positively charged with residual energy, for 3 rounds.

Thunder Clap (0%): Nothing resonates louder or more powerful than the sound of Thunder. By paying 5% reiatsu and making a simple, sharp motion -- such as clapping his hands, snapping his fingers or clicking his tongue -- Markus can generate a powerful outward blast of energy that resonates with the sound of thunder. All those caught in the 5m cone blast are knocked back several feet and are left disoriented and confused for 1 turn, leaving them scrambling to regain their balance.

Focused Lightning (25%): Upon reaching 25% resonance Markus is capable of tapping into the deep well of electrical devastation that resides within him. Once his power has reached such a level, he is able to manifest a ball of lightning that fires straight ahead, but will home in on the nearest positively charged target. The focused lightning has a short lifespan and will explode in an 8m radius after 2 rounds or on contact with a target. Only one orb of Focused Lightning can be active at once. Manifesting the lightning costs Markus 10% of his reiatsu. The Focused Lightning travels at a rate equal to 50% of Markus' Agility.

Notes: Since there is very little opportunity to dodge Lightning Bolt, once per round is sufficient. Thunder Clap gets a little wider spread and some wording fixes. Focused Lightning is a direct fire orb, but will home on a charged target -- either before or after the orb is released. It's not sapient, though.

A Note From Beaks said:
Hi,

Yeah, I know...here we are again. Another Kai from Beaks, hurr hurr. Before we get into this though, I want to say a couple of things that have taken me quite a bit of time and quite a bit more thought and reflection to fully grasp.

I love explosions.

I have never been happier in the Bleach Forums/Halcyon Days/Manga Den universe or been more eager and excited to write than when I am given the chance to blow some shit up. I have tried making complex, intricate ‘think kais’ in the past, and they have fallen short both due to their unnecessary complexity and my inability to play them to the fullest. While I have no inherent issue with the Kai I currently have it’s simply the newest in a long and winding chain of ability bundles that more often than not get flat out ignored by the people they are used on.

I love explosions, and they’re a hell of a lot harder to ignore. Do what you love, right?

Cheers.

”When I hit’cha, you’re gonna feel it."

Shi Kai:
Rite of Rebellion
Release Phrase: “And Now...Everybody Dies!”
Appearance: An ordinary looking enough katana of standard length, save for a constant golden glow that permeates the blade.
Spirit: Rite of Rebellion takes the form of an incredibly large shirtless man. On his hands lie large knuckle dusters cobbled together from random bits of metal and giant screws. The sword keeps his mullet covered by a large red bandana, which would match his similarly red eyes if it were not for his impenetrable black sunglasses. To complete this ensemble, Rite of Rebellion sports an incredibly manly mustache, sprouting almost over his mouth.

The sword spirit completely reveres the ideal of "badass," which, to him, means explosions, fire, and generally loud noises. His voice, therefore, is an excited boom, and he is always berating Tsubaki about her inability to "blow shit up properly." In general, though, he is rather impressed with her destructive capabilities, and will always try to egg her on in order to craft her into an even more badass swordsman.

Ability: Boom-Proof-Badass - Nothing is more badass than explosions, with the exception of a badass standing unfazed in the middle of a badass explosion of badassitude. To this end, Tsubaki is entirely immune to any explosions she causes while her Shi Kai is active. This ability is active as long as her weapon is released.

In addition, any fire attribute attacks or Kidou that hit Tsubaki while Boom-Proof-Badass is active are reduced in effectiveness by 50%

Attack: Badass-Ball-Buster - For a cost of 15% of Tsubaki’s Reiatsu the blade of Rite of Rebellion is overcharged with explosive energies, making it a contact-based explosive for the next thing it comes in contact with. This explosion bursts outwards from Tsubaki herself with an initial AOE of 3 meters, increasing by an additional 3 meters for every 2,000 Reiatsu used to pay the attack.

”I’m gonna smack the BITCH off you!”

jpg2_zps0a0adad8.jpg

Ban Kai:
Axis of Anarchy
Appearance: Upon transcending into Ban Kai Tsubaki is clad almost entirely from head to toe in black. Black heels, black hose, a black skirt and a black top to round out the ensemble. This outfit is complemented by a heavy leather duster dyed a deep shade of red, covered in haphazard patterns of whipstitched origin. The Zanpakutou itself remains largely unchanged, though the golden glow of destructive energies that constantly pulses throughout the blade is significantly brighter in its final release.

Ability: Anarchistic Aura - The moment Tsubaki enters her Ban Kai this ability becomes active, engulfing the woman in a 3 meter auric sphere that negates all colors aside from black, white, and red. While it can prove a stark contrast to the battlefield around her, the visual aspects of this ability are entirely cosmetic and belie the true purpose it represents.

While active, Tsubaki generates one portion of Anarchy for every 1,000 Reiatsu spent (on attacks, Shunpou, Kidou, and paying the activation cost of abilities or items), when damage is sustained, or when damage is inflicted. These portions act as baseline modifiers for Tsubaki’s damage and defense values at a rate of 1% for every portion present. In other words, for every portion of Anarchy Tsubaki has present, her attacks will be 1% more effective and attacks against her will be 1% more effective. However as with her Shi Kai, AA functions similar to Boom-Proof-Badass in the sense that Tsubaki herself is immune to any explosions she herself causes. Unlike Boom-Proof-Badass though, any fire or explosive type attacks used against her will hit for their normal damage parameters.

Attack: Badass-Bonafide-Bitch-Burner - For a cost of 20% of Tsubaki’s Reiatsu the blade of Axis of Anarchy is overcharged with explosive energies, making it a contact-based explosive for the next thing it comes in contact with. This explosion bursts outwards from Tsubaki herself with an initial AOE of 20 meters, increasing by an additional 2 meters for every 2,000 Reiatsu used to pay the attack.

In addition, the portions of Anarchy generated by this attack are doubled in opposed to conventional means (1,000 Reiatsu spent on BBBB generates two portions, rather than one).

Attack: Badass-Heavenly Body-Butt-Blasting-Boom-To-End-All-Boom-Booms. Bitch. - The final weapon in Tsubaki’s badass arsenal, BHBBBBTEABBB is nothing less than a white knuckle thrill ride into finding out just how big an explosion can get. At a cost of 95% of her Reiatsu, the blade of Axis of Anarchy is supercharged, so volatile that the very next thing that it touches will cause the weapon to explode. This attack has an initial AOE of 30 meters, expanding both horizontally and vertically at a rate of 3 meters per 1,000 Reiatsu spent to pay its cost. In addition, all portions of Anarchy generated fuel the explosion as well. Every portion increases the horizontal and vertical size of the blast by 1 meter, and increase the damage caused at a rate of 1% for every 5 portions used, capping at an additional 25%.

The noise generated by this attack is substantial, starting at a rate of around 150 dB near the center of the blast and tapering off to around 100 dB at the fringes of the explosion. It is also said that in addition to the noise of the explosion itself one can hear the screams of Tyrannosaurus Rexes and totally fucking sweet guitar solos emanate from the epicenter of the epic explosion of epicness.

After the explosion concludes, Tsubaki’s Ban Kai is forced back into a dormant state.

Initial Awakening
PONB (Positive Orange, Negative Blue)

Form
Normal, everything normal.

Effect that applies to all attacks: PONB (Positive Orange, Negative Blue)
The various attacks will either charge things with orange (positive) energy or blue (negative) energy, or affect things with orange or blue energy.

Orange charges repel orange charges and attract blue charges. Blue charges repel blue charges and attract orange charges.

The power of the abilities are the combined strength of the repelling or attracting power. For example, a 100 reiatsu Spot PONB reacting with another 100 reiastu Spot PONB has strength 200. A 200 reiastu Spot PONB reacting to a 5% reiatsu Burst PONB has strength 5% + 200.

Attack: Spot PONB
Costs 100 reiatsu per use. Can be used multiple times per turn.

Kakuni sends out either a glowing orange (positive) sphere, or a glowing blue (negative) sphere. These spheres will attach themselves to the first thing they hit and charge that thing with orange energy or blue energy respectively. On things with reiatsu energy, they will only last up to three turns. On things without, the spheres will last up to five turns. Kakuni can cancel them manually.

The spots have strength to attract at 1 pound per reiatsu. They can affect each other up to 15 meters away. Shooting the same color sphere into another one will reset the duration and they will stack in power.

Attack: Energy PONB
Costs 5% reiatsu per use.

This is an instant attack, capable of being used on attacks already in transit and can affect things that are not physical, such as fire or pure energy. This will charge them with either orange or blue energy.

If Energy PONB and whatever its reacting with completely overpowers an attack, they will completely lose their original trajectory and follow where the charges direct. Otherwise, the attack’s aim will only be modified based on how much power they have.

Resonance Attack: Burst PONB
Costs 500 reiatsu per use.

Creates a orange (positive) or blue (negative) burst somewhere Kakuni can touch. It lasts only for a split second, but it has extremely power, being able to draw in or push away things based on what charge they have.

It works up to 15 meters away and has the same strength as Kakuni’s physical strength.

I suppose it's easier to post this here, than to wait for Van or whoever to give me some pointers on what's too OP or not. Form changes remain to be updated as I see fit, given that I am not quite sure yet what I want to do with them.

As the memories of her past lives left her, so did the one thing she had been most proud of: her zanpakutou. No longer could Nana keep the connection that bound them together in tact, and so the blade disappeared from her grasp.

It left behind nothing more than the burnt up remnants of an age long gone: an ornate, gold guard.

Left with nothing but the ashes of her past, Nana set out to right the wrongs of her soul and returned to the root of all zanpakutou... an ancient forge build deep down below Seireitei.

It was at this forge that she once again lost herself in the cadence of smithing, and reforged what little was left of her old blade into a new Asauchi.

Soon a new soul would be born, a soul that would brighten up even the darkest places.

Hateshinai Taiyou no Tsurugi (果てしない太陽)
(Sword of the Everlasting Sun)

Form: While in its initial release phase, Hateshinai Taiyou does not change form in any way shape or form compared to its sealed state save for a concentration of flames from both an area of 15 meters in diameter surrounding her, as well as the flames from her very own reiatsu.

Haimamire - “Covered with Ashes”

Passively draining 1% of Nana’s reiatsu every turn, Haimamire covers the ground below Nana in a 5 meter diameter in ashes. Additionally, anything Nana touches with either any of her weapons, or with her body itself, becomes afflicted with a layer of ash as well.

Anyone caught in the ashen ground will find it impossible to use high speed movement techniques, as well as feeling it very sluggish to move through it.

Any attempt to use high speed movement or teleportation techniques in this area has their cost sapped against this 1% penalty, and if the result is 0 they fail and the attempt is used up for the turn. Remainders have their distance and speed reduced according to how much of the cost was left, also using that attempt.

If any of the opponent’s body parts has been afflicted by the ash, they will find a similar effect happening to those parts as well, with a decrease in maneuverability and reaction time as a result.

Created ashes linger for five rounds before dissipating into the air.

Yurumeru - “To Slow Down”

At any point in time, when Nana’s blade hits an enemy, she can opt to pay 1000 reiatsu to cover the inflicted wound with a layer of ash that serves the same purpose as the regular move, but instead lingers until exhausted by the enemy.

Moetatsu - “To Set Ablaze”

At any point, Nana can decide to pay 15% of her reiatsu at which point her blade heats up to such incredible heights that the tip of the blade begins to ‘bleed’ fire. Once this bleeding fire gets in contact with any created ash, it sets everything Nana has created with Haimamire aflame.

Hateshinai Taiyou no Kama (果てしない太陽)
(Kiln of the Everlasting Sun)

Form: In bankai, the most prominent change is not the blade itself, but the surrounding area. While in bankai, everything in a 45 meter diameter turns to ash, being burned to a crisp by the intense heat from Nana’s bankai. Everything that comes in contact with Nana’s bankai withers and dies.

Kokufuu - “Sky Darkening Dust Storm”

Continuing on the path Haimamire set in shikai, Kokufuu goes a step further and passively drains 3% of Nana’s reiatsu, recreating the effects of Haimamire, but with added lethality. The area of effect also increases from 5m to 30m

Being the Kiln of the Everlasting Sun, the area of effect of Nana’s bankai easily reaches temperatures of over ten million degrees celsius, mimicking the extreme heat of the sun itself.

As such, whenever someone is unlucky enough to get caught in Nana’s area of effect, they will feel themselves not only becoming more sluggish, but their oxygen levels will drop drastically to the point where it nearly becomes impossible to breathe normally.

Additionally, everything they try to do will feel as if their very skin will crack under the intense heat, and prolonged exposure to this heat will actually begin to burn through enemies as they come.

Moetatsu - “To set Ablaze”

At any point, Nana can decide to pay 15% of her reiatsu at which point her blade heats up to such incredible heights that the tip of the blade begins to ‘bleed’ fire. Once this bleeding fire gets in contact with any created ash, it sets everything Nana has created with Kokufuu aflame.

Moetsukiru - “To Burn Out”

Being able to set everything ablaze within grasp is nice, but that is not what Nana’s bankai is all about. It’s about debilitating her opponents to such a degree that they are forced to follow her rules, her way of fighting.

By paying up to 15% of her reiatsu, Nana can let her blade take on the same properties as with Moetatsu, only this time it cuts so terribly fierce that every cut on an enemy sends the flames from her blade directly into the enemy’s body.

While hit, the payed reiatsu will release over a course of five turns through the opposition’s body.

Multiple attacks will stack and will add up to whatever is left from the initial attack.

Haiiroshinsei- “Ashen Rebirth”

Even though there was little left of the Amaterasu Matriarch’s former blade, there was one thing that remained true: her indomitable will in battle, and to never falter in her abilities to keep on turning the tide of battle.

Haiiroshinsei is a permutation of the epitome of her previous zanpakuto, Taiyousaisei, and acts in very much the same way in that it completely regenerates lost limbs, mends broken bones, and heals any type of wound.

Because Nana has lost the Japanese Imperial Regalia, she can no longer bet on the storage-ability of her bankai. Instead, Haiiroshinsei can, and will be activated when the need arises.

When activated, Nana burns up into ash from which she will be reborn again.

Sorry for the tl;dr u___u I just wanted it to be clear, but I didn't realize it already got... this... long. v.v

SHIKAI

Form/Ability :: Living Weapon
Upon the utterance of the initial release, Ansherina’s weapon rapidly decays, akin to skin and flesh rotting away with time. In place of the weapon, a mass of black fire enshrouds the hand that once held the bone, slowly forming the weapon she so chooses. By infusing 3% of her reiatsu, Ansherina is able to change the initial form of her weapon into another of her own choosing.

The weapons created and recreated within the release of her shikai appears to be different among others—the basic structure of these weapons are made with fragmented bones, usually adorned with blood, torn flesh, snapped veins and ripped skin; as if the weapons had been stolen straight from another living creature. Though it may look brittle, the weapons created are nonetheless as durable as a normal zanpakutou in its initial release.

It does not matter what she wants the weapon to be, given that she is able to lift it with ease and that its size is no larger than her own body.

Attack :: Ghost’s Claw
While most attacks are delivered through physical attacks or reiatsu, Koschei has his own unconventional way of attacking the body. By expending 3% of her total reiatsu per turn, Ansherina is able to imbue her weapons with a special effect: to attack what cannot be seen. While Ansherina's bone weapons can be used to parry attacks from inanimate objects, Ghost Claw’s real power is seen when attacking the form of a living being -- it phases through the skin, and damages whatever is underneath in a chainsaw fashion-- muscles, bones, tissues, and more specifically, it is more suited to damaging the internal organs more severely than a normal weapon. This makes the target more prone to internal bleeding and having a lesser limb functionality, on top of the fact that it will be difficult to measure the extent of the damage and how the target will be able to avoid worsening the wounds at mid-battle.

Attack :: Osteoblast <(or someone can suggest a better name because this sounds stupid as fuck)
When physical touch is deemed impossible, Koschei himself makes an effort to create contact. Upon the activation of the attack, five white orbs covered in light clouds appear around Ansherina and begin to spin rapidly, as if gathering the air around it to itself. In a matter of a few seconds, the orbs of highly dense calcium grow up to roughly 4 inches and will continue spinning in midair until it is launched. With only one gesture of the hand, he calcium orbs will shoot towards a specific direction, where it will explode upon contact and immediately launch bone spikes in all directions. The spikes will launch at the speed of a bullet and will travel 5m in the air before dissipating into powder.

The bone spikes are 1 inch in diameter, while it measures roughly 1 feet in length. Each orb costs 3% of Ansherina’s reiatsu to conjure.

BANKAI

Form :: Sphere of Influence
Upon the utterance of the final release, a multitude of vein markings rapidly spread out from her spot, branding the ground within a 30-meter radius with the distinct vein pattern. As soon as it forms the complete 60m circle, the starts to glow in a faint white hue, the color rippling outward from the wielder to its tips, and, after the fifth ripple when the veins glow in pure bright white, a lattice of bones begin to form, moving upward until it forms a large dome over them. The dome itself is tough, but it is in no way indestructible. However, the dome has its own manner of repairing itself when not actively tended by Ansherina: by absorbing each and every drop of blood that touches the vein pattern on the floor.

Inside the bone lattice, the surroundings can become rather disconcerting for some people. A blanket of mist enshrouds the whole area, lowering the general visibility within the lattice. This effect however, does not work as effectively for those who have seen her bankai released for at least five times. Though this can affect both ally and foe, there are other environmental changes that are determined by how she views the person. For those considered an opponent or a threat, the whole place becomes unbearably cold, as if they are placed inside a freezer, while the whole place reeks of the putrid stench of rotting flesh. For those considered an ally, the whole place becomes mildly warm, like the body’s normal temperature, and a sweet breeze fills the air.

Ability :: Deathless
Through combining the ultimate gift of Koschei and the Ansherina’s own skills, she is bestowed with an ability that no other ability can grant: the gift of defying death. For a normal person, one wound is a closer step to death, the bigger the wound, the bigger the leap. However, Deathless makes it appear like it never happened at all.

By expending 20% of her maximum reiatsu, the body is granted with an exceptional upgrade of the usual chiyudou spells: one that never ends. At the initial activation of the spell, all wounds begin to simultaneously heal, at the same rate at which Superior Mend heals the wounds: minor wounds in one, moderate in two and severe wounds in three turns. After the initial healing, all wounds acquired at the rest of the remaining turns will start healing as soon as they are inflicted, without needing any gesture from the wielder, regardless of whether their damage are internal or external, so long as they are imprinted upon her physical being by any means. One remarkable thing about Deathless is that it does not leave marks and blemishes on any surface of the skin when the wound is healed.

Upon acquisition, it continuously heals for the initial five turns allowed for a bankai user. However, should Ansherina reach Bankai Mastery, she is able to extend the use of this ability by expending 3% of her maximum reiatsu per turn.

For every 20,000 she has in reiatsu, the number of turns needed to heal a wound decreases by one. The ability ends when both of the conditions are met: when her bankai ends and when the last wound heals.

Attack :: To Deny Mercy
While most healing are intended to aid the patient, Koschei’s power has put it up in such a way that even the divine art of healing becomes difficult to trust. By spending twice the amount of the spell’s original cost, the effects of a chiyudou spell can be reversed—those that intend to calm the nerves will cause the target’s nerves to go haywire, while those that seek to prevent spreading poison on the body may end up increasing the speed at which it spreads.

In order to reverse the effects of a spell, the specific chiyudou spell must be equipped twice.

Ability :: Koschei’s Curse
Through the eyes of his wielder, everything is colourful and so full of life, unlike his own that reeked of death and decay. If Koschei cannot bring them to his world, he will bring it to them. At a cost of 5% of Ansherina’s reiatsu per turn, everything that surrounds Ansherina rapidly degenerates, and direct contact becomes much worse. When she touches an object with no reiatsu, it becomes subjected to decay: normal walls will crumble, doors will splinter, fabrics will become extremely brittle, and so much more. However, living things and objects bearing reiatsu are entirely different, yet still subjected to the curse.

When the living thing or the object with reiatsu comes in contact with any part of Ansherina’s body, they are subjected to decay: limbs will wither, joints will stiffen, as if the body part had been partially deprived of the life that sets it to motion. In most cases, it will only cause the limb to decrease its functionality. However, if the same limb is hit again with the curse within the duration of the whole fight, the limb dies completely, leaving the body with unusable mass of dysfunctional body parts. When investigated further, the damage does not barely resemble a strong anaesthetic: when touched, the skin may tear easily, the veins become completely dry and prone to breakage, the muscles wither greatly, the bones may easily weather and the blood has completely dried up.

c/ping Superior Mend as reference for Deathless above:
OHYESDOME *coughs* SUPERIOR MEND

Superior Mend - Chiyudou #91, 5,000 kidou

Description: The epitome of regenerative power attainable through the progression of Mend healing techniques, Superior Mend allows the user to restore lost and damaged tissue at an exponential rate. The user's hands produce a mild white glow while the spell is active.

Small wounds are healed in one turn, medium wounds in two turns, and large wounds in three turns.

Incantation: Break apart and return, turn and overcome. Follow the cycle of the heavens, healed with the night and reborn with the new moon. Chiyudou number #91, Superior Mend.”

Beaks - Expect a PM soon. We need some alone time to hash this out. Great concept, I must say.

Finny - Portal is good. However, you've an extra slot for your IA. Start with 2, add one at 25% As a note, this looks solid and approvable conceptually and implementation style.

Rob - Shikai is Approved. Bankai - We need a cost on the ressurection. Thematically, we could say she evaporates, and appears 1 day later using all of her remaining rei.

Ama - Lets have the effect of your orbs be based on your zan, rather than saying bullet speed or some such. Otherwise, the kai looks fine. (Ghost claw doesn't cleave, it leaves the outer shell intact, is pretty cool).

Bankai -

Form - There's some powers/effects in here, which is a cardinal no no for kais.

Ability - the clause about speeding up the wound regeneration should go, its fast enough as it is. And indeed, someone already has this ability (namely Theron), but that's picking nits about prose.

Deny Mercy is fine.

Pretty sure the Curse is fine.

Amended. =) Thanks for the speedy review, Van~
Also, special thanks to Raph for attack name :)

Shikai

Form/Ability :: Living Weapon

Attack :: Ghost’s Claw

Attack :: Death's Head
With only one gesture of the hand, he calcium orbs will shoot towards a specific direction, where it will explode upon contact and immediately launch bone spikes omnidirectionally. The spikes will launch rapidly and will travel 5m in the air before dissipating into powder.

The bone spikes are 1 inch in diameter, while it measures roughly 1 feet in length. Each orb costs 3% of Ansherina’s reiatsu to conjure.

Bankai

Form :: Death's Playground
Upon the utterance of the final release, a multitude of vein markings rapidly spread out from her spot, branding the ground within a 30-meter radius with the distinct vein pattern. As soon as it forms the complete 60m circle, the starts to glow in a faint white hue, the color rippling outward from the wielder to its tips, and, after the fifth ripple when the veins glow in pure crimson hue, something else begins to grow: a graveyard of bones. Around Ansherina's feet, the ground is littered with pure earth and dried leaves, while several bones lie half-buried in the soil. The farther it gets from Ansherina, the more bones there are, to the point that it becomes not just a graveyard, but a wasteland that tell stories of a million deaths.

Ability :: Deathless

Attack :: Denial Of Mercy

When investigated further, the damage does not barely resemble a strong anaesthetic: when touched, the skin may tear easily, the veins become completely dry and prone to breakage, the muscles wither greatly, the bones may easily weather and the blood has completely dried up.

Attack :: Remnants of the Dead
When the living simply isn't enough, perhaps the force of the dead may come to their aid. By spending 15% of Ansherina's total reiatsu, bones created in the Death's Playground comes back to life and fight on her behalf. Upon the activation of this ability, the glowing bones rise up from the ground and form rearrange themselves into a proper skeletal figure of what they used to be. However, instead of overwhelming the opponent by power, they overwhelm through number.

The number of skeletal figures formed by ability is dependent on how much reiatsu had been spent on this ability, as each skeleton bears only 10 reiatsu. These 'undead' are not actually able to fight, but are able to do simple tasks such as walking, jumping and strength-less grabbing. Noting the fact that they are fairly weak, they are also relatively easy to vanquish-- upon landing a hit on the skeleton, it turns to pure calcium powder and dissipates in the air.

When all the skeletons have disappeared, Ansherina's bankai ends and is reverted back to its sealed form.

CHANGE LOG:
Changed "Osteoblast" to "Death's Head", amended wording as requested.
Changed form so that it doesn't have any abilities in it, changed name from "Sphere of Influence" to "Death's Playground"
Removed last part of 'Deathless' as requested
Changing name of "To Deny Mercy" to "Denial of Mercy" because I felt it was more appropriate.
And changing Curse from [Ability] to [Attack]
Added a BK ender.

Ama - Shikai looks good. Lets just keep it that the form is melee only, considering the rest of the abilities that'll keep it fair/fun to fight against.

Bankai - Yep, I think this works, just one change.

Ability - BK abilities are supposed to be scary, so I think this works. Lets just say that on others, it heals existing wounds but not new ones, on her, both are fine. Its a tradeoff for being able to do it to others.

- Last attack; Pretty cool and unique approach, reminds me of Naruto's Kage Bunshin blitz.

Revised as requested. :)

Also, upon attainment of such a bond, Ansherina is given another effect: to grant the gift to another. By spending 20% of her reiatsu, she is able to heal the wounds of another person within a 30m radius, although it has its own limitation: it does not continue on after the initial healing. Initial Awakening
PONB (Positive Orange, Negative Blue)

Form
Normal, everything normal.

Against pure energy attacks affected by PONB, the effect is based on the combined reiatsu only.

Things charged with orange power repel orange charges and attract blue charges. Things charged with blue charges repel blue charges and attract orange charges.

The power of this abilities are the combined strength of the repelling or attracting power. This can interact with other attacks.

Things charged with orange power repel orange charges and attract blue charges. Things charged with blue charges repel blue charges and attract orange charges.

The power of this abilities are the combined strength of the repelling or attracting power. This can interact with other attacks.

Bankai: Ekibyou no Suisei (Plague of this Decadent World)

Form:

Upon announcing bankai, nothing at all appears to happen to Feng’s weapon, it remains the same as his shikai form. Instead, by paying an additional 15% reiatsu on top of bankai bonus, he is able to drag his zanpakutou spirit into the physical realm.

This living manifestation of the former assassin’s spirit is a monstrous 10m tall amalgamation of pestilence and disease. The actual body of Ekibyou’s form is of a giant emaciated man though its flesh appears a sickly green. His eyes are sunken black pits, and throughout his body are weeping sores. The being wields a massive pair of 5m long blades similar to the weapon in the shinigami’s own hands. Both the weapons and sores appear to leak the same black substance that drains from Feng’s weapon and once it hits the ground it too evaporates.

Ekibyou’s Stats are as follows:
Combat: 60%
Sonido: 40%
Ability: 0%

Contagion Engine:

Ekibyou feeds off of success, and is capable of gaining strength as it notices weakness within his opponents. After a successful hit or block, Ekibyou may pay 600 reiatsu to birth from itself six perfect replicants of Feng himself. The clones mirror his current state complete with bleeding wounds. They ultimately are not much of physical threat and cannot inflict more than scratches. However, any attacks from them count as though Ekibyou himself has made them for the sake of all abilities. A maximum of 12 bacterial colonies may be present at any given time. Should Feng elect to summon more, the already existing colonies begin fading starting with the oldest. The colonies all move relative to Feng's own Hohou stat and the speed of their assaults are equal to his zanjutsu. However, the colonies are much weaker and cannot inflict wounds greater than light scratches. Attacks by the creatures effect each other following the multiweapon rules however Feng or Ekibyou themselves are not influenced by what the colonies do.

Pandemic:

Unique to the monster’s swings are the numerous different microbes that compose its very being. Upon successful hit by Ebikyou, Feng may elect to have the creation spend 5% of its reiatsu to catalyze colonization of the microbes to fester within the wound. They quickly migrate into the victim’s bloodstream where they deal their true damage.

This particular disease causes rapid destabilization of reishi within its victim. However, the effects are highly specific and quick acting. A successful hit will cause the effectiveness of the first reiatsu using ability used by the victim during the next round to be reduced by the cost paid. The body becomes resistant to multiple exposures so Ebikyou must wait a round before reinfecting the same target.

Pathogenic Evolution:

Ekibyou thrives on delivering lingering damage upon those foolish enough to stand before him. By paying 5% reiatsu per inflicted strike, the monstrosity is able to leave behind a portion of its own corruption. The colony begins to fester and divide, though the victim’s body is far less suited to being a host than Feng’s own. Every two rounds the wound necrosis a further stage growing larger and more vile. As the decaying flesh festers the wound weeps blood and pus in an attempt flush out the area. Accompanying the horrific display is the equally disturbing pain as the bacteria eat away at the victim's flesh.

Mechanically, every two rounds the infected wound upgrades in severity until it reaches major. In game, the wound simply grows larger and deeper. The weeping ichor that runs from tainted wounds similarly increases in severity. While not lethal on its own, the wounds the ability is able to inflict, both mentally and physically, are more than sufficient. This wound will continue to persist until Feng reseals his bankai leaving behind the no longer weeping, yet still damaged wound.

Bled the requisite amount for this submission because I hate waiting.

Bankai - Kiro Shenrai
[ Kegirai Sabigyoushou ] - "Antipathic Rustmonger"
[ Form ]

As the utterance of 'Bankai' is made, Kiro's zanpakuto disintegrates. Permeating a 30m diameter about him, the ground darkens and rots into a wasteland. The slightest breeze blows away the oxidized particles, leaving naught but flakes of rust.

Kiro dons a modest, rust-red gauntlet that runs up and past his elbow. Ending in jagged ends, it is the arm he holds his blade in. The orange hue of his eyes darkens to a muddy brown, and the flakes of rust produced by Kegirai Sabigyoushou appear to naturally conform around his body, pushing against the winds to swirl about him.

[ Form - Kiriku ] - "Crude Land"

Kiriki is considered the 'primary' form of Kegirai Sabigyoushou. When initially released, Kiro's ability to direct its corrosive powers is unfocused. Within its initial, 30m diameter, he may pay 10% of his reiatsu to express Kegirai's powers over either a single target or the entire area in a flurry of rust flakes.

If a single target is selected, the amount of reiatsu paid is taken from the selected ability, reducing its efficacy by the amount paid in. If expressed upon the entire area of Kiriku, the amount of reiatsu paid is split equally amongst attacks within range, reducing their efficacy by the amount paid in.

If Kiriku fails to degrade the intended target, Kiro may pay 3% more of his reiatsu on subsequent rounds to improve the effect by that amount. Once the degradation is successful, Kikuiki returns to its base cost. Any abilities that are degraded to zero reiatsu are outright negated, generating a single charge for Kegirai Sabigyoushou.

[ Form - Kikawa ] - "Crude Shell"

Kikawa is the 'transitional' form of Kegirai Sabigyoushou. Kikawa may be activated once Kegirai Sabigyoushou has generated at least two charges over the course of battle. Paying 5% of his reiatsu per charge used for the form, Kiro's bankai reconfigures into a much more condensed, defensive form.

The flakes of rust from Kiriku coalesce, forming into a serrated ribcage centered around Kiro. Anything that attempts to contact the ribcage (be it physical matter, or spiritual-based matter) suffers damage equal the amount paid into the form. Attacks or abilities suffer a reduction in efficacy, while constructs or matter is rotted away.

Every contact made expends one charge, and once all charges used to create the Kikawa are expended, it disintegrates.

[ Form - Kisentou ] - "Crude Spire"

Kisentou is the 'retaliatory' form of Kegirai Sabigyoushou. Kisentou may be activated once Kegirai Sabigyoushou has generated at least four charges over the course of battle. Paying 3% of his reiatsu per charge used for the form, Kiro’s bankai remains at its standard range, but becomes a more vicious, offensive form.

The flakes of rust from Kiriku gather about Kiro, forming into a number of vicious claws. A single claw is formed for every charge imparted into Kisentou - and each claw may extend up to the 30m range of Kegirai Sabigyoushou. Kisentou is a much more refined, and focused method of delivering its corrosive payload. The hands move at the speed of Kiro’s Hakuda, but act of their own volition to attack enemies. Wounds inflicted by the Kisentou deal 5% of Kiro’s reiatsu in damage over two rounds, rotting away the infected area.

Every wound inflicted expends an arm’s charge, causing it to disintegrate.

[ Form - Kikenzou ] - “Crude Viscera Blade”

Kikenzou is considered the ‘epitome’ stage of Kegirai Sabigyoushou. Kikenzou may be activated once Kegirai Sabigyoushou has generated at least six charges over the course of battle. Paying 5% of his reiatsu per charge used for the form, Kiro’s bankai shrinks to a 10m range (limiting the range of any additional forms while in use) and enters a hyper-condensed state.

The flakes of Kegirai Sabigyoushou form into a serrated, flamberge-esque blade to be wielded by Kiro’s gauntleted hand. Once swung, the blade unleashes a miasma of rust and corrosive energy that rots away anything in its path. Travelling for 10m to the edge of the condensed bankai radius, the miasma is treated as an airborne poison that seeps around any straightforward barriers or obstructions.

Coming into contact with the wave causes extreme anguish, rotting away at skin and muscle to cause damage equal to 10% of Kiro’s reiatsu over the following round. Unleashing a wave expends a single charge from Kikenzou, with the blade dissipating once all charges are used.

Using a resub that I've been banking for god knows how long:

Shikai:
Name: Fusei - “Transient Life”
Release Phrase: Shibarikomu - “Bind Together”

Lucia’s inner world takes the form of an immense wasteland, dotted with hundreds of white crosses. This macabre landscape represents the souls sacrificed for the creation of her own. On each of the crosses is etched a name, representing the soul that was removed from the circle of reincarnation to create her own.

It is in this world that Fusei resides. Fusei is not a singular entity, instead it is the soul of each virtual soul. They retain their personalities from their original life, though each reflects a portion of Lucia’s own personality. They are permanently chained to their cross, and take the appearance of phantoms that speak to her.

When releasing Fusei, they fully integrate with Lucia. Her left arm and side of her face become emblazoned with runic markings that hover around her arm. The runes are burn on contact, a representation of her manifested soul. The markings are colored a variety of pastel colors and grow in intensity as she uses her reiatsu.

Renku - "Linked Verse":

Fusei is capable of tapping directly into the soul. By paying 5% of her reiatsu, she can form a tether between herself and an ally or enemy. Upon tethering to an ally they are instantly rejuvenated, fatigue cleansed from them instantly. Likewise, if tethered to an enemy they are exhausted and dealt damage equal to the cost paid in. She can tether herself to a target within a 10 meter radius, and the tether range is equal to 30 meters.

Anjinryuumei - "Enlightenment":

When tethered to an ally, the regenerative powers of the linked souls are amplified. When Lucia regenerates reiatsu, the linked ally regenerates reiatsu at a rate equal to half the amount. Furthermore, she is able to disregard chiyudou channeling radii if healing the target.

Yousou - "Soul Stirring":

Tethering herself to an enemy has a much more dangerous consequences. By striking the tether, she can break it, literally damaging the soul directly. Doing so deals direct damage to their soul, as well as excruciating pain, and hampers their ability to use reiatsu. The following turn, any attempt to use reiatsu will be penalized, dealing a backlash damage equal to 25% of the reiatsu that they use.

Bankai:
Name: Kamikakushi Fusei - “Spirited Away, Transient Life”

Uttering Bankai frees the unstable soul locked deep within Lucia’s heart. Dozens of luminescent chains burst outwards from her own Saketsu. They wrap around her completely, covering her in a cocoon of chains before shattering at once. Lucia’s clothes are drastically changed, as instead of a normal uniform she wears a flowing, white, dress. Her hair is tied back in a bun, a small, crown-shaped, hair-piece pinning it back. Her family scarf drapes back behind her, though it’s appearance is hazy, almost ephemeral.

Her left arm is decorated with hundreds of runes that travel up and cover half of her face. They are glow a multitude of colors, mainly pastels. The runes on her arm project outwards, hovering around the entirety of her arm and wrap around it. Contact with the runes burns, as they are borne from the physical materialization of her soul.

However, more dramatic is transformation of the world around her. The thirty meter radius around her is immediately leveled of all mundane objects. From the rubble, dozens of crosses of varying sizes and shapes but all colored a pure white, appear from the ground. The souls which were anchored to her lie within the graves, as voices of each of the unfortunate souls can be heard.

This extravagant affair is not the true force of her Bankai. By freeing the locks that anchored the amalgamated soul to her body, she can manifest it in the real world. On top of her Bankai bonus, she funnels an additional 15% of her reiatsu to act as a medium for Kamikakushi Fusei.

Kamikakushi Fusei takes the form of a woman, towering at about seven-feet tall. She is dressed in a white, Victorian-era dress. She wears ornate jewelry, adding color against the white backdrop. The collar of the dress spikes upwards, with deadly points. Instead of a face, there is a porcelain mask with. Silver hair is tied back in a bun, an identical crown-shaped hair-piece pinning it back. In her hand is a silver Estoc, wielded with deadly efficiency. Capable of speech, the voice of Kamikakushi echoes anywhere from two to twenty voices at once time. Around the summon is a circular dome of reiatsu, radiating outwards with a brilliant light.

A bundle of luminescent chains links Lucia’s left arm to the back of the summon. The link oscillates between the spiritual and physical worlds. At times she can strengthen the bond, causing the chains to become physical and capable of effecting the material world.

Kamikakushi Fusei has the following stat spread:

Zanjutsu: 40%
Hakuda: 0%
Hohou: 20%
Kidou: 40%

Jinkou Bokusen - “Artificial Augury”:

A soul in its own right, Kamikakushi Fusei is capable of tapping into and recreating the demon arts known to shinigami. Kamikakushi Fusei is given the ability to cast a spell per turn. If Lucia is currently equipping a feat or technique to increase the number of spells she can cast, the effect also applies to the spirit. Kamikakushi Fusei can cast any spell from Lucia’s kidou list, including chiyudou. When casting chiyudou, all channeling rules apply using the summon as the focal point.

Eikyukousai - “Perpetual Bond”

An enhanced version of the shikai ability, Kamikakushi Fusei is capable of linking even the most distant souls together. By paying 5% of her reiatsu, Kamikakushi Fusei can tether herself to up to a soul. The target of the tether must be within a ten meter radius, and the tether is broken if the target leaves the Bankai domain.

When tethered to an ally, all positive effects that affect the summon also affect the ally. On the other hand, when tethered to an enemy, all negative effects affecting the spirit are shared with the target. For example, if the summon is bound, the target is bound as well, though they could break out of the binding effects with the appropriate ability. While tethered, the channeling range of chiyudou is increased to match tether range. Each link lasts three turns before it must be renewed once more.

Jitsuzo - “Real Image”:

Perhaps the most dangerous ability of Kamikakushi Fusei, strikes made by the materialized amalgamation are capable of striking the soul itself. Upon landing a successful strike, and paying 3% of it’s reiatsu, the spirit can bring the victim’s soul to bear. A luminescent chain forms from the Saketsu, extending outwards five meters. While appearing to be made out of light, the chain is extremely heavy, dramatically weighing down upon the target. These chains are physical and can interact with the material world.

Using reiatsu while the chain is materialized is excruciatingly painful. Any attempt to use reiatsu elicits a violent backlash of pain similar to dozens of violent stabs to the chest, acting as direct spiritual damage equal to the initial amount paid in. As a side effect, continuous exposure damages the target’s ability to use their reiatsu, as they progressively find it harder and harder to tap into it. When activated, the cost of the ability is automatically paid by Kamikakushi Fusei. The chain persists for two rounds, though attempting to use reiatsu extends its duration by a single turn, once, or until Lucia manually banishes it.This is treated as a binding.

Finny - Spot is a bit rough, as is. 100 pounds / spot and you can use multiple per turn, meaning basically you can fling people instantly. 3 per turn and 20 lbs per spot is probably a good base suggestion (or less per turn and stronger)

Lets make burst cost 2%.

Shade -

Lets make contagion engine spawn 3 per hit only.

Lets have the last attack cost less, but basically increase the severity of a wound by 1 rank 2 turns later and be harder to heal by the value paid (2%?)

Raph -

Last attack, lets have it deal 5% per use as per the payment.

Narg - Shikai

basically state the cap of effects on #2 and #3 are up to the total cost of the tether.

bk-

For the ability, one cast extra is probably enough

#2, again, strength based on tether cost

After a successful hit, Ekibyou may pay 400 reiatsu to birth from itself four perfect replicants of Feng himself.

By paying 2% reiatsu per inflicted strike, the monstrosity is able to leave behind a portion of its own corruption. The colony begins to fester and divide, though the victim’s body is far less suited to being a host than Feng’s own.In two rounds the wound necrosis a further stage growing larger and more vile. As the decaying flesh festers the wound weeps blood and pus in an attempt flush out the area. Accompanying the horrific display is the equally disturbing pain as the bacteria eat away at the victim's flesh.

Mechanically, two rounds after the strike the infected wound upgrades in severity until it reaches major. In game, the wound simply grows larger and deeper. The weeping ichor that runs from tainted wounds similarly increases in severity. While not lethal on its own, the wounds the ability is able to inflict, both mentally and physically, are more than sufficient. Attempts to heal the diseased strike must first overcome the beasts corruption before they are able to treat the wound increasing the cost of treatment by the cost of the attack.
