卍解
Bankai

はねいやみきょうじん
Hanei Yami Kyoujin
Reflecting Darkness Assassin’s Dagger”

Form Change

After releasing his bankai, the assassin loses his two katar that he has worn. Instead, his hands are covered in a black cloth that seems to be done in by a professional fighter. The black threads are covered in what seems to be a tiny, almost invisible black flame.

The young shinigami loses the previous shihakushou he had, and instead gets a new white one, that only goes down to his knees. At the end of the hakama, a rope is tied, to hold it still. The same kind of rope goes around his waist, acting like a belt. The top part of the robe is a normal kimono, with the exception of it only covering the left shoulder, leaving the right one completely naked. From the point of view of a person who has seen it, he looks a lot like his spirit; Kyoujin.

Abilities

うきよ Ukiyo–”Sad World”

As he releases his Zanpakutou and enters his bankai, anyone who is in the vicinity enters his world. A large area around him becomes covered in a large shadow where he can use all of his abilities to their maximum potential.

As Eiji activates his bankai, an area covering sixty meters in diameter around him is covered in a shadow.

Attacks

二重身Nijuushin- "Doppelganger"

Eiji is able to create a completely identical replica of his own shadow that spawns in a place of his liking. The shadow attaches itself to the reapers target, without him knowing it. The doppelganger hides itself inside of the shadows, emerging only after standing under the target for three turns. As it emerges, it locks the target in place for three more turns. Eiji spends 500 reiatsu for every turn that passes, starting from when he creates the clone.

To break the binding, you have to spend an equal amount of reiatsu as it took to make it. The total cost for the ability is 1500 reiatsu.

くいころす Kuikorosu – ”Devour”

An ability that’s quite different from the assassin himself and strays completely off from his way of combat. By imbuing his fist with spiritual power, the assassin readies himself up for the big attack. For every turn that passes, he gathers 500 reiatsu from himself and 100 reiatsu from whoever stands in the shadow of his bankai. The reiatsu gathers for a maximum of ten rounds before it has to be released.

As the reiatsu gathers in his right fist, the flame around it grows larger. When it reaches its maximum potential, the flame completely vanishes, taking place inside of his fist. Eiji draws the power out onto his knuckles, releasing every bit of spiritual power he has gathered into one destructive punch.

かげそち Kagesochi - “Shadow Step”

Kyoujin's abilities are complementary to the art of assassination. Remaining unnoticed, striking swiftly, silently, and leaving without a trace. All of these principles are core to Kyoujin's modus operandi. Kagesochi in particular is a prime example of why Eiji's zanpakutou excels at silent killing. At the cost of 5% of his reiatsu per use, Eiji can enter a nearby shadow and move to another almost instantly. Each step is instant and can traverse anywhere inside of his Bankai. Kyoujin must wait one turn to perform another Kagesochi.

Zanpaktou

Diapasão (Tuning Fork)

Sealed - Like its wielder, Satoru’s zanpaktou is rather straightforward. It is an odd size, being around the size and proportion of a tanto with a royal purple wrapping over the well-polished silver of his hilt. The blade is an odd grey that matches his eyes. Both are notable for their strange and mesmerizing glint. The tsuba is engraved with patterns similar to that of a circuit board.

attachment.php

Release Phrase: Emitir (Transmit)

Spirit: Diapasão takes the form of a large crimson bat. He is always seen soaring about with a pair of thick headphones around his neck identical to Satoru’s aside from their golden color. Due to the standard black and blue coloration of Satoru's inner world, he's not very difficult to spot. The spirit has a series of intricate lines inscribed among his back similar to those found in Satoru’s inner world. When speaking, he has a voice so low that it ripples through the very core of his surroundings.Diapasão is not a liar but he has a habit of answering questions in a very vague manner, much to the irritation of his owner.

World: Satoru’s inner world appears to be entirely computer generated. It is much like a crowded city in its design, what with the giant skyscrapers and closely-packed structures, every surface is black with lines of a light blue hue that provide the light of the world. The world has no sun; instead, it is lit entirely by the structures themselves. Because of this, the sky is always black.

Form: Diapasão begins as a simple but intricately designed staff around six feet long. When initially released, Satoru’s blade shatters into pixels and reforms into a six foot long staff with the glossy sheen of obsidian and intricate blue lines running across its form. Its most obvious visible feature is the single tuning fork on its end. While in shikai, the area thrums with an ambient humming sound like that of a powerful machine.

attachment.php

Ability: Em Sintonia (In Tune)

For 200 reiatsu per turn, Satoru may broadcast his own brain waves from Diapasão. This turns Diapasão into the equivalent of a mental radio tower, allowing him to convert and project his thoughts to a maximum of ten given targets within his range. When used on a humanoid creature (Shini, AH, Vizard, Hollow, etc), Satoru can transmit messages and music to them without the need for speech. In animals, he can exert some control over their actions due their primitive mental structure. The range of this ability is the range of his Reiatsu Noukan. Only those who Satoru chooses to receive the broadcast may hear the transmission.

Attack: Ouça-me! (Listen to Me!)

By imbuing 750 reiatsu into Diapasão, Satoru can cause his weapon to emit a unique frequency upon impacting an opponent that alters a person's sensory perception. By doing so, this attack will dramatically amplify the hearing of one opponent for three turns. Excessively loud or harsh sounds like gunshots, screaming, or the clashing of weapons become utterly devastating. This will result in a sensory overload that hinders the opponent from attacking with their normal proficiency. This ability may only be active on one target at a time and requires two turns of cooldown after the first instance wears off to allow the target's mind to reset itself.

Attack: O Lançador de Baixo (The Bass Cannon)

For 15% of his reiatsu, Satoru releases a concussive cone of reiatsu around 15 meters in length and 2 meters wide that is composed of reishi, Satoru’s thoughts, and highly focused sound waves. Any reiatsu void objects caught in this devastating sonic blast are thrown backwards and face being shattered by the intense waves. Any subsequent techniques utilized by the opponent will have their effectiveness reduced by the amount paid into this attack and any technique that costs less than it becomes completely negated. This is treated as a pool equal to the amount of rei used by O Lançador de Baixo from which abilities are drained and has no bearing on the rank of techniques like Kidou.

Dai Koukyou no Jinmon-sha (Grand Symphony of the Inquisitive)

Upon declaring Bankai, Satoru plants his staff into the ground with the fork facing the sky. The lines etched onto it will shift from their standard color into a royal purple hue, symbolizing the utter union of the red and blue forces which make up Satoru's inner world. Once entrenched, the tuning fork will grow taller, stopping at somewhere around 15 meters tall.

Satoru undergoes a transformation from standard shinigami attire into something else entirely. He gains a form-fitting black suit covered in the same pattern of straight-edged lines that can be found on his staff-tower. The material is highly flexible, allowing for full range of movement. His headphones disappear, replaced with a sleek black helmet that seals off his face from view via a tinted black faceplate. The faceplate can slide up via a mental command from Satoru.

hza5.jpg

Rather than a traditional weapon, five black discs appear in the air around Satoru. They are roughly one foot in diameter and their lines glow with the same color as the tower. These sonic discs casually swirl within two meters of his position unless otherwise commanded. The discs vibrate as they move, causing each to emit an ambient hum born from Satoru’s vastly increased power. They are edged to anyone but Satoru and can be used as chakram when it comes to melee combat.

Ability - Shingoto (Signal Tower)

For 300 reiatsu per turn, Satoru can use the amplified transmission power of his Bankai to communicate with any spiritual signature that he recognizes within his Reiatsu Noukan range. No longer limited to basic communication, he gains the power to transmit his own memories and feelings rather than just simple thoughts. He still retains his ability to influence the actions of all living creatures without spiritual power due to their lack of resistance to this vastly increased transmission strength. This allows him to mentally control his discs past the standard two meter range. They move at a speed equal to his kidou stat and are subject to multi-weapons rules. When he stops paying the 300 reiatsu per turn, the discs immediately return to his range.

Attack 1 - Kyousei Rikai (Forced Knowledge)

By paying 800 reiatsu, Satoru can transmit a unique frequency from one of his discs that affects everyone within two meters of it. This frequency forcibly amplifies the target’s hearing, causing even the most casual of sounds to become utterly devastating. Standard speech sounds as if it’s coming from a megaphone being blasted into the ear, rain sounds like sledgehammers constantly beating on a metal roof, and the clash of weapons is very nearly debilitating. It is impossible for opponents to fight at their normal proficiency in such a state, driving even the most stalwart of foes to drop their weapons and cover their ears to save themselves the agony. This debilitating effect lasts for three rounds and requires a cooldown of two turns before it can be used again.

Attack 2 - Onkyou-hou (Sonic Artillery)

In Bankai, Satoru’s ability to wreak havoc using the power of sound is even greater. By using the discs as mediums, he gains greater control over the power of his sonic bursts. Each disc is capable of utilizing 4% of his reiatsu for miniature versions of his original O Lancador de Baixo. These individual attacks create potent cones of sound and power that push anything caught in the blast 4 meters backward and disrupt the opponent’s ability to communicate and shape their reiatsu, serving as a pool from which the opponent’s abilities are drained. Any subsequent techniques utilized by the opponent will have their effectiveness reduced by the amount paid into this attack and any technique that costs less than it becomes completely negated. This is treated as a pool equal to the amount of rei used by Onkyou-hou from which abilities are drained and has no bearing on the rank of techniques like Kidou.

If Satoru chooses, he may stack these attacks to increase their power and range by mentally commanding the discs to attach to one another before firing. Two discs joined together would create a single burst that costs 8% of his reiatsu that pushes the opponent 8 meters backward, three discs would be 12% and would push for 12 meters, etc.

Attack 3 - Jinmon Kyoku (Interrogation Melody)

The only completely new attack granted during Bankai, this attack represents the power of communication between wielder and weapon. Satoru resonates his soul with that of his soul slayer’s own will. This causes Satoru and his discs to vibrate at incredibly powerful frequencies. The Inquistive reaches a state of vibration so great that he begins to visibly blur.

His physical strikes begin to apply an incredible amount of concussive force, blurring the line between his spiritual and physical power to create something new. Non-spiritual matter is destroyed outright by his attacks in this state. Opponents themselves will always be thrown 5 meters backward from the point of impact when he makes contact. When striking the weapon of an armed opponent, it can be knocked from their hands if the strength of their attacks is less than 15% of his hakuda. Each impact made in this state creates a very sharp yet rhythmic chime, just like that of a tuning fork being struck. The peculiar frequency caused by this technique forces those within one meter of his strikes to answer any question that he asks. How they answer is up to them, but the desire to answer becomes irresistible. This state of sonic destruction and inquiry requires 3% of his reiatsu per turn to maintain.

Shikai release. Hikaru Miyazaki

Name: Getsumei (Moonlight)
Release Command: Kokoro wa muda ni naru yōna hidoi monodesu. (A mind is such a terrible thing to waste).

Manifestation: A female looking in about her to her early thirties. She has long violet colored hair, bangs framing her face, and piercing ghostly white eyes . She has a fair complexion vanilla, making her to look of Latina descent. The clothes she wears change based on her moods but usually wears a long black dress, hemmed in purple, that trails along behind her. It is of Victorian styling, and cuts off at her shoulders with blood red ruffles, and continues down her arms as gloves. She resides in a silent void with a watery reflective surface for a floor, floating white ghost fire, and and full moon floating high in the air.

Release Form: Getsumei's ebony blade changes and elongates into a dark, and cruelly curved scythe, with an short diamond axe blade juts out on the other side of the scythe. The long handle riddled with cracks, and the kanji symbol for nightmare queen inscribed over and over again in the carved scarlet handle. At the end of it there is a small dagger like blade, that constantly glows with a ghostly white and green flame.

The metal retains the shadowy black color, and Hikaru himself dons a body length black cape and hood, edged with faded silver around the hem and sleeves. His entire face becomes shrouded in a deep shadow which is unenforceable by the eye, except those who he's become close too.

Ability: Waking Nightmare

By paying 5% of his current reiatsu, Hikaru taps into the sub-conscious of the opponent to induce a powerful waking nightmare in them. This reduces them to a state of hysterics, and is treated both as a mental attack/illusion and a binding. Upon use, his scythe warps into the shape of a flaming staff, with a thin and sinister looking crescent moon shaped blade on one one end, and a roaring green flame on the other.

Ability: Living Nightmare
By paying an additional 7% of his reiatsu while Waking Nightmare is active, Hikaru rips the subject of an inflicted negative memory from the target's mind. Giving it physical shape, the resulting construct obtains half of his attacking stat, the remaining output of both abilities contributing to its durability.
This construct is very real, and targets the one whose mind it was ripped from relentlessly and autonomously.

Ability: Its only a dream.

Hikaru is able to phase through objects and rei based attacks. For 85 reiatsu he can phase through a solid physical object; but pass through kidou, or rei based objects requires payment of half the cost to use said technique plus 100rei. This ability can be used twice per turn, per 500kidou stat.

Sorry for the delay on this.

Ok, first up: if you are submitting a Bankai, include the Shikai. That goes for TA/IA and Zenkai/Sanrei, too.

Second, please keep the fancy formatting to a minimum. Save that for your profile. Speaking of formatting, though: center-align is for titles and poetry. Please stop center-aligning technical write-ups.

Ok, so... I'm OCDing hard on fixing the formatting and such, so... we're just gonna freestyle this with comments instead of my usual.

First, please put large AoEs in radius format. While 60m diameter = 30m radius, people look at the number and immediately think it's twice as big as it's supposed to be. The standard convention is radius, so please use that.

The ability comes across as fairly weak since he can't do anything directly with the shadows and doesn't really gain a passive benefit that he couldn't get with Break of Dusk. Think of something to beef this up. The first attack, Doppelganger, while it works, is also little weak. The cost should be paid upfront (1500, not 500 x 3) and I'd recommend a %, scaling cost rather than a flat cost. This will allow it to grow stronger with you. The time-lapse does add some nice strategic opportunities, though. Then we have Kagesochi which is the same as shikai, but potentially weaker (shikai version can go up to 50m away, but the bankai version is limited to the range of the bankai which is only up to 30m away). All of this so far is actually fairly weak and we need to see some improvements: the ability needs to do something more than make things dark, Doppelganger should have a scaling cost, and Kagesochi needs some form of improvement over the original, if not in range then in utility.

Then we have Kuikorosu. Kuikorosu is not a bad idea thematically, especially if you follow the idea of one killing blow, but sapping reiatsu from everyone in the range, with no cap, and doing that every turn for ten rounds is taking it from 'nice idea' to overpowered. Ten rounds is too much really, since very few fights actually last that long and you rarely start with Bankai. Lower the rounds, add a scaling cost (not flat), and nix the sapping aspect unless you have a way to balance or limit it.

As a quick note, Sev and I both looked over this and agreed that the Bass Cannon needs to have a round limit, in both Shikai and Bankai. We'll most likely be reducing the duration to two rounds for both versions (the Bankai version increases in other ways).

aixo from which abilities are drained and has no bearing on the rank of techniques like Kidou.

The only thing I'll say about the form is chakram are ranged weapons. Feng huo lun are the melee fighting rings. Yay, trivia.

In Shingoto, change 'all living creatures' to 'animals' -- otherwise it sounds like you can create an army of zombie followers. The combat range of the discs is no more than 5m.

Kyousei Rikai seems like a case of overplaying your flavor text. Forcing any enemy, regardless of strength, to drop their weapon and be unable to attack for three rounds is way too strong. Reference some of the debilitating abilities like Lilith has or the Air of Fear inspired abilities. In addition, the way you have this written, at any given time, anyone who steps within 4m of you (discs float within 2m and have a 2m range) would be within range to get hit by this ability with no counter or defense.

Onkyou-hou, as mentioned above, needs to be limited to a 2-round duration. Also, I think we will reference Sayis' kai here: each disc may be used for this ability once. You can use one or more at a given time, but each can only fire one sonic wave. You may want to write in something visual to differentiate a depleted one.

Jinmon Kyoku is just going all over the place. You have knockback, disarming, interrogation, matter destruction, and all at an extremely, extremely cheap cost. You need to trim this down to focus on what it is and not cram tons of different things in. Up the cost if you intend this to be a serious threat.

You may want a shorter release phrase, because until you get Bankai, you need to say the whole thing to release your shikai.

The form: usually, clothing changes in shikai are little to none. For instance, one of my characters has their clothing change to... a differently colored shihakushou. Bankai is where users tend to get the full make-over treatment. That said, this is a very ornate and at times confusing release form. That's not bad in itself. In one of your abilities, it changes form again, though. I have the following suggestion: give the weapon a different form for each ability, rather than having one extremely complex one and one oddly simple, temporary one.

Waking Nightmare: mental effects are hard to pull off. It requires a lot of trust from the person you're writing with to get them to play true to it. Try to think of something more specific in terms of impact on the opponent. Most characters won't be reduced to a state of hysterics, and especially not ones significantly stronger than you. If you're set on a fear effect, reference "Shoul" -- Lucas Morrison's former kai -- for ideas on how to employ it.

Living Nightmare: here we get confused between clones, constructs, and summons. What you describe here is more of a summon, and you can't have a proper summon until Bankai. Clones/constructs are more temporary, either lasting for one attack/action or for a short duration. Treat LN like this, as an attack taking the form of a nightmare, and understand that it's something that will attack and be gone, not something that will attack relentlessly.

It's Only a Dream: this kind of breaks away from the fear theme you seem to have going. The extremely low cost doesn't justify the effect, and there's a lot of reasons I can go into for why freely walking through any surface or object is bad for narrative purposes. Let's just go with "don't do it" or "do it sparingly and with consequences for the effort." The second portion is the bigger problem, though: phasing through attacks every turn at half their cost is basically a way to say, "I win" against any opponent unless they are more than 2x as strong as you. By 5,000 Kidou you would also be able to phase through up to 10 attacks per turn, and there... really aren't people who can normally attack you 10 times. For reference, see "Ataru" -- Mineto Mitsuyo's shikai -- for a form of phasing that's more acceptable: it has a higher cost, a long cooldown, and very specific limits.

She resides in a silent void with a watery reflective surface for a floor, floating white ghost fires, and and full moon suspended high in the air.

Release Form: Getsumei's ebony blade changes and elongates into a dark, and cruelly curved scythe. The long handle riddled with cracks, and the kanji symbol for nightmare queen inscribed over and over again in the carved scarlet handle. At the end of it there is a small dagger like blade, that constantly glows with a ghostly white and green flame.

Ability: Waking Nightmare
By paying 12% of his current reiatsu, Hikaru taps into the sub-conscious of the opponent to induce a powerful waking nightmare in them. causing pain, nausea, confusion, and disorientation, and is treated both as a mental attack and a binding. Upon use, his scythe warps into the shape of a flaming staff, with a thin and sinister looking crescent moon shaped blade on one one end, and a roaring green flame on the other. During this time Hikaru is unable to move on his own will, since to cause the nightmare, Hikaru must enter the target's mind completely so movement is impossible; and can keep the ability active for as long as he remains there, Hikaru is not able to stay outside his body for too long. So he must return after 5 turns.

Attack: Living Nightmare
By paying an additional 150 of his reiatsu while Waking Nightmare is active, Hikaru rips the subject of an inflicted negative memory from the target's mind. Giving it physical shape, the resulting construct obtains half of his attacking stat, the remaining output of both abilities contributing to its durability, and the duration of its existence tied to Waking Nightmare's in rounds.

This construct is very real, and targets the one whose mind it was ripped from in burns and fire type damage.

Ability: Lucid dreaming.

Hikaru is able to pay 230 reiatsu to increase the power of attacks by 8%, (Kidou, sword strikes, punches, etc.,) and strength in general. This 230 reiatsu is added to the initial cost of the kidou, or is a cost added to the regular attack or technique. This makes bakudou last longer, and harder to break free from. And increases a technique/shunpo/general attack/hadou's power and speed. This also leaves a trail of whitish, green smoke in the attacks wake. There is also a form change into a black pair of twin katanas, with handles, black chains, and white hand guards.

Kyoujin

"Assassin's Dagger"

Release Phrase

Kage no you ni Shizuka - Kyoujin
“Silent like a shadow – Assassin’s Dagger”

Form Change

After releasing his zanpakutou, it completely vanishes. By grabbing the hilt with both hands, the young shinigami utters the release phrase and Kyoujin is released. The katana transforms into a pair of katars that the boy wears on each hand. But instead of a regular blade, his reiatsu is formed around the weapon into a sharp object.

The weapon turns into a tri-blade, with two longer blades to the sides, and a shorter one in the middle.

Spirit

Appearing to be an elderly man, Kyoujin looks a lot like Eiji. His buff body makes him look just like the brute that is his owner. The elder man is almost completely bald, except for the pony-tail that runs from the back of his head down to his shoulders. Just like his hair, the grand beard that he let grow has a bright white color. Wearing a shihakusou just like the dark-haired shinigami, Kyoujin is probably an older version of Eiji.

Inner World

Kyoujin resides in a small grassy area that only has a few trees and a tiny house as decoration. The house is somewhat smaller than a one bedroom apartment and is where the spirit resides. Both the grass and the leaves give off a bright green color.

Abilities

かげそち Kagesochi - “Shadow Step”

Kyoujin's abilities are complementary to the art of assassination. Remaining unnoticed, striking swiftly, silently, and leaving without a trace. All of these principles are core to Kyoujin's modus operandi. Kagesochi in particular is a prime example of why Eiji's zanpakutou excels at silent killing. At the cost of 5% of his reiatsu per use, Eiji can enter a nearby shadow and move to another almost instantly. Each step is instant and can traverse anywhere inside Ukiyo. Kyoujin must wait two turns to perform another Kagesochi.

ひぐれいけんHigureiken - “Dusk Blade”

Kyoujin's skills work synergistically with each other, ensuring that every strike deals the greatest possible damage in the shortest amount of time; a good assassin works fast, after all. Higureiken accomplishes this much-desired synergy by passively imbuing Eiji's blade with reiatsu whenever Kagesochi is active. When striking an opponent from the shadows, Eiji's attacks gain bonus damage equal to 15% of his Hakuda (this stacks with the existing damage from melee attacks). Each attack dealt by Higureken costs Eiji 15% of his hakuda in reiatsu.

卍解
Bankai

はねいやみきょうじん
Hanei Yami Kyoujin
Reflecting Darkness Assassin’s Dagger”

Form Change

After releasing his bankai, the assasin loses his two katar that he has worn.

As Eiji activates his bankai, an area covering twenty-five meters in a radius around him is covered in a shadow. The shadow expands, starting from where he is, going around him. The ability may seem like nothing but is in fact the best helping hand the reaper could ever need.

Attacks

二重身Nijuushin- "Doppelganger"

Eiji is able to create a completely identical replica of his own shadow that spawns in a place of his liking. The doppelganger hides itself inside of the shadows, taking a amorphous form as it emerges from Sad World. At the cost of 4% of his reiatsu, Eiji can create one clone whenever he feels like. The clones exists for four turns, moving freely all over Sad World. As it latches on to its target, the shadow binds until it vanishes.

As it is a shadow, it is completely intangible; wounding it would do nothing but to return it to its original shadow form.

くいころす Kuikorosu – ”Devour”

An ability that’s quite different from the assassin himself and strays completely off from his way of combat. By imbuing his fist with spiritual power, the assassin readies himself up for the big attack. The assassin draws his arm back, pendles his leg back and swings. The destructive power of the attack is 15% of Eiji’s maximum reiatsu and for every shadow that is attached to his target, Eiji uses that power to strengthen his attack. As soon as he hits, the shadows disappear together with the binding.

The flames around his start flaring as Eiji readies himself for Kuikorosu. Just as it reaches its maximum strength, the flame completely vanishes, taking place inside of his fist.

Eiji can use Kagesochi once per turn.

Waking Nightmare is still written as an auto-hit / unavoidable. It has a lengthy duration and a hefty cost to balance it, but Hikaru needs to do something in order to initiate the attack.

Living Nightmare... simplify it or discard it. I'm sorry, but you're not getting a persistent ally with half your attacking stat.

Lucid Dreaming... this is a big no. You cannot pay a flat cost for a scaling buff. If you pay 230 reiatsu, the amped attack is increased by 230. Most cases are 1:1 cost:benefit with rare exceptions exceeding that due to situational limitations.

Name: Amidha
Release Phrase: Show your infinite light, Amidha!

Form: Upon release, the wind rises and the light shimmers with intensity, forcing most bystanders to take their eyes away from the figure of the Russian even if only for a split second. Hence, Ole keeps his left hand on the hilt of the katana and move the right hand away from the hilt. By doing so the hilt itself lengthen, and the blade doubles in length, until the mathematician is left armed with a nodachi, with the same colors and appearance of the former sword. Moreover, a white segmented sode appears on his right shoulder.

Manifestation: Amidha is a Buddha-like statue cast in bronze. Sitting upright in meditation, it is sometimes possible to see its eyes open, showing fiery luminous orbs of pure white. The voice does not come directly from the statue, but it comes as if spoken by different people from different directions. At times it speaks in riddles, others in rhymes, often with plain statements of universal truth. Calm and serenity drips from her demeanour in waves. The centered nature of the spirit should not be misunderstood, for it hands out advices and punishments with the same composure.
Fun fact: the statue talks just like Yoda, the ancient Jedi master.

Inner world: The inner world of the Buddha is a representation of the Pure Land which is accessible only for the worthy souls. A bright yet suffused light is always present, tinging every object in radiance. Nature itself rejoices, and both fauna and flora are at a peak: perpetual spring is a reality. In the middle of the bucolic scene, a simple wooden temple rests unguarded. Phurba
[Ability]
Preferring a fluid style over static combat, Ole is able to control the blade through a telekinetic link upon release. This control is limited to a radius of 15-meter around the former monk, but allows for greater flexibility, through attacking and parrying maintaining his hands free, as well as allowing the Russian to use his weapon as a platform, or in some cases something like a hoverboard.

Laghima-siddhi
[Ability]
Through the application of the principle of free manipulation of reality, the Russian is able to move objects with his mind. Its range of effect is within a 15-meter radius. With this practice, Ole is capable of lifting large, bulky objects such as refrigerators or vending machines with ease; at 5,000 reiatsu, this extends to being capable of lifting and throwing objects up to a mid-sized car or tear down a street light. It costs the former monk 200 reiatsu to perform this ability per turn. Up to an additional 3% reiatsu may be infused into the controlled object with the sole purpose of increasing its durability. This power cannot be used to levitate other spiritual creatures or people.

Sam-siddhi
[Ability]
Within a 15-meter radius, Ole’s ability to bend reality is so strong that by paying 125% of the cost of any one kidou, he can alter the trajectory of said spell freely. The Russian is able to keep this control up as long as the spell lasts, in case the duration is greater than one turn.

Hi! Sorry for that Will, forgot to copy it over from my gdoc. It should be right this time, so please check it out!

Shikai

きょうじん

Instead, his hands are covered in a black cloth that seems to be done in by a professional fighter. The black threads are covered in what seems to be a tiny, almost invisible shadow.

As Eiji activates his bankai, an area covering thirty meters in a radius around him is covered in a shadow.

The destructive power of the punch is 15% of Eiji’s maximum reiatsu and for every shadow that is attached to his target, Eiji uses that power to strengthen his attack. As soon as he hits, the shadows disappear together with the binding.

Eiji can use Kagesochi once per turn.

Preferring a fluid style over static combat, Ole is able to control the blade through a telekinetic link upon release. This control is limited to a 5m radius around the former monk, but allows for greater flexibility, through attacking and parrying maintaining his hands free, as well as allowing the Russian to use his weapon as a platform, or in some cases something like a hoverboard. Attacking with the weapon relies on Ole’s kidou stat.

Within a 15-meter radius, Ole’s ability to bend reality is so strong that by paying 125% of the cost of any one kidou he casts, he can alter the trajectory of said spell freely. This manipulation lasts until the end of the current turn.

Amidha Change Notes
Form is fine. The range on the first two abilities is reduced to 5m, and their control is tied to Ole’s kidou stat. The 3% buff is removed for two reasons: it’s written as ‘up to’ so that Ole could spend whatever amount he chooses up to 3%, but also because it’s creating a double-ability: a 3% barrier on top of strength-enhanced telekinesis. In Sam-siddhi, the manipulation will only last one round, and can only be activated when Ole casts a spell. It cannot be used across multiple turns and cannot be used on enemy kidou.

Kyoujin Change Notes
I’m not going to keep arguing the ability. First attack, you can only summon one clone per turn, and they move at Eiji’s normal speed (his hohou). Kuikorosu specifically adds 4% per clone, giving you a cap of 31% if you get all four clones (the duration of the clones wouldn’t allow more than 4 at a time), without having to recalculate how much strength each has left. Shadow Step is a flat effect and therefore is a flat cost of 200.

Name: Getsumei (Moonlight)
Release Command: Pāsu yami, endo akumu no chisei o gekkō.

Manifestation: A female looking in about her to her early thirties. She has long violet colored hair, bangs framing her face, and piercing ghostly silver eyes .

Inner World: At first Hikaru's inner world is a silent void of sadness, with a reflective liquid like surface for a floor, containing very little light just a full moon perched high in the sky above with a few stars representing those he cares for. However as time goes on and he and his zanpakutou become more attuned to each other, this world changes to match memories and ideas playing in his mind just as fickle as he is. Though even through all of these changes, the moon and stars always remain in the sky and twilight rules this haven.

Release Form: Getsumei's ebony blade changes and elongates into a dark black, and cruelly curved scythe. The long handle riddled with cracks, and the kanji symbol for nightmare queen inscribed over and over again in the carved scarlet handle. At the end of it there is a small dagger like blade, that constantly glows with a ghostly white and green flame.

Ability: Waking Nightmare
By paying 5% of his current reiatsu, Hikaru's scythe turns ghostly white and catches flame, becoming translucent. Contact made with this hand allows Hikaru to enter their mind and inflict them with a powerful waking nightmare, causing pain, nausea, confusion, unnatural fear, and disorientation; as flashes of bad memories, and fears flash before their eyes. Waking Nightmare is treated both as a mental attack and a binding.

Ability: Nightmare Blade

Hikaru pays an extra 7% of his reiatsu, or 7% of the cost of a kidou to add a searing ghost white flame to an attack imbued with pure malice that causes a knock-back effect. During this time his zanpakutou changes to a claw like wakizashi with cold white steel and jet black katana daishou(pair) bound together by a long black chain (1/2 meters long). This form change, as well as Nightmare Blade, lasts as long as the ability is active.

Attack: Living Nightmare
By paying an extra 10% of his reiatsu after Waking Nightmare has been activated, Hikaru can create and form the subject of a negative memory from his victim's mind and give it physical form. The resulting construct has a durability equal to its cost and is able to attack autonomously from Hikaru. Each attack by the Living Nightmare expends 2% of its total stored reiatsu. Each construct can retain physical form for up to four rounds before dispersing. If the construct is destroyed or it's energy is depleted, Hikaru must reapply Waking Nightmare to a target before reusing Living Nightmare.

Kurobara (Blackrose)

Release Phrase: Inflict, Kurobara.

Sealed:
Her sword has the saya made of a rich brown wood, inscribed with dark silver vines and flowers that almost look like they are stemming from the (now open) flower shaped tsuba. Violet cloth, similar in color to the scarf she wears, wraps the tsuka. Finally the Kashira of her Zanpakutou has the appearance of woven vines with a single leaf along the center. Similar motifs of vines stretch along the spine of the sword's sixty centimeter length.

Released:
With a flick of her blade upon release, the flowered hilt of her blade travels towards the point and further forward, creating a five meter long vine whip that appears very similar to how the saya looked in the sealed form. At the end of the whip are three green four inch barbed tines covered in a viscous black liquid.

Manifestation:
Kurobara is an odd amalgamation of Miya’s Zanpakutou spirit, and her inner hollow. Taking on the form of a bush viper with black and white scales trimmed with deep purple, each scale curves outwards from its body like a leaf. This spirit doesn’t identify as male or female and it only has one interest, taking joy in the pain of others. Even the pain of Miya will elate Kurobara, but not enough to stop them from helping in a fight.

Inner world:
A rich forest canopy greets Miya every time she ventures to her inner world, fleeting and forgotten ideas taking the form of expressionless birds that Kurobara enjoys feasting on. Soon after the bird return, much to the snake’s annoyance. The strangest aspect of this world is that no matter how far Miya travels, she always ends up in the same place soon after, a small nest of woven branches with the sky and ground hidden by the labyrinth of tree limbs. This is in part because the world is always shifting to follow her movements, keeping her stationary within the center as the foliage moves around her.

Ability 1: Rose’s Kiss
Miya causes Kurobara to secrete a thick venom from the barbed tines, which costs her 5% reiatsu. When she strikes someone with her whip the venom causes the victim to feel excruciating pain when they make any vocal noise. The more noise someone hit by this venom makes for the following 5 rounds, the more pain they feel.

Ability 2: Thorn
Paying 5% of her reiatsu, Miya dislodges a single barb into a target. This barb causes high levels of pain, and can also be used to renew the duration of Rose’s Kiss venom at no additional cost. If used to refresh Rose’s Kiss the barb falls out and regrows on Kurobara the following round.

Vizard Ability: Schadenfreude
Schadenfreude can be activated by building 3% rage per turn so long as Miya is causing some one pain. She can effectively ignore pain that she would feel herself, even from injuries such as broken bones, by sending her pain into one of the people she has already inflicted.

Minja: Resubmit

Waking Nightmare is fine, but the other two abilities need work. Lucid Dreaming is not gonna fly. An all purpose amp just too much, especially when you've tailored each facet of it to function differently, essentially making this four abilities in one -- something that, if you recall -- is not allowed. The form change is fine, but the rest is going to have to change. Get back to me privately and we can bash something out; I can't readily think of a way to make this workable from its current form so it's better that we start fresh on this particular ability.

Living Nightmare, too, is a little bit too much bang for your buck, though not nearly as bad an offender as the previous ability. I think we can work with this. If you bring the effect in line with its cost and quantify how it's able to attack in a slightly less roundabout fashion, it could function. Something like...

Attack: Living Nightmare
By paying an extra 10% of his reiatsu while Waking Nightmare is active, Hikaru can create and form the subject of a negative memory from his victim's mind and give it physical form.

This way, it's much less powerful (and more in line with Shikai) but also has some versatility. You could block, attack, or a bit of both, but it's grounded by its gating technique and initial cost and has functionality closer to spells like Energy Clone rather than an entirely separate summon bound to your stats.

Thana: Approved. Not only rather balanced, but pretty damn cool. My only grief is whether or not Schadenfreude applies to the "pain" generated by her techniques or just pain in general. Lemme know which it is.

Name: SÁofra (Changeling)
Phrase: Divert, SÁofra.

Sealed: Seamus' sealed weapon is a rather unremarkable Wakizashi. Slightly straighter than others of its type, but with no flashy markings or designs it is as plain and unassuming as its owner.

Released: Upon release, SÁofra becomes even shorter, transforming into a modern tactical knife about seven inches long and jet black. The hilt changes as well, losing the traditional wrappings that his sealed form has and molding into a ridged cylinder with a hilt guard that runs perpendicular to the blade and just slightly wider.

Manifestation: SÁofra, when called into the physical world, manifests itself as a rather scruffy looking young man with shifty eyes and a crafty smile.

Inner World: Constantly in flux, Seamus' inner world is hard to nail down as his zanpaktou spirit has a great dislike for staying in any one place too long. One day it might be a vast field of corn, the next, a busy subway in the heart of New York City. Through it all though, there is always one feature that remains the same: there is always a gas fired lamp post somewhere.

Ability: Athrú (Switch)

Subtle, like the traps that his Division is so killed at crafting, SÁofra is not a flashy weapon and its abilities are just as muted as itself. When released, for a cost of 2% his reiatsu, SÁofra allows Seamus to switch places with something, or someone, within 15m of his person. Does not work on bodies containing foreign reiatsu and can be used twice per round.

And they're like "Why is Primary Feat Staff open?" and I'm like "Because this."

Announcement:
I'm now Primary Kai Staff.

Submission Rules:
These are mainly the same as before.

No ridiculous formatting. Keep your font Verdana. Keep your font color black. Left align. Bold/Italics Ability headers. In general, make it easy to read!

If you're submitting a True Awakening, Bankai, Zenkai Hamayumi, submit your Initial Awakening, Shikai, or Rei Hamayumi as well.

That aside, let's review:

SÁofra - Approved as follows:
- Removing the or someone line. As a once owner of the GM Feat Sociopathy, I know how ridiculous things can get when you freely can switch with targets. Plus, currently it doesn't make sense for that clause because you already restrict on reiatsu signature and different people have different reiatsu signature. However, through a mix of feats and/or items I can think of a few ways the work around that so I'm proactively limiting it.

- Adding size requirement for the main reason that I don't want "I TARGET THIS GRAIN OF SAND AND SWAP". Shouldn't be a problem for you because God Hand and generally how battlefields end up (see large chunks of debris)

Ability: Athrú (Switch)

Subtle, like the traps that his Division is so killed at crafting, SÁofra is not a flashy weapon and its abilities are just as muted as itself. When released, for a cost of 2% his reiatsu, SÁofra allows Seamus to switch places with something within 15m of his person. The target in question must be at least as half as tall as Seamus. This does not work on bodies containing foreign reiatsu and can be used twice per round.

Shikai
Name: Getsumei (Moonlight)
Release Command: Pāsu yami, endo akumu no chisei o gekkō. (Moonlight break through the shadow)

Manifestation: A female looking in about her to her early thirties. She has long violet colored hair, bangs framing her face, and piercing ghostly silver eyes .

By paying 3% of his reiatsu per turn, Hikaru imbues his physical attacks with pure malice. While active his zanpakutou changes to a cruel claw like daishou (katana, and wakazishi pair), with black steel, both with red handles. These blades are bound together by a long, black chain. This form change lasts as long as Nightmare Blade is active. The blades of his weapon are coated with a searing, ghost white, flame. When an opponent is struck by his physical attack, they are pushed back with a knock-back effect a distance of 10 m.

SHIKAI SUBMISSION

Name: Ink Bottle Knight (Suitsubokishi)

Release Phrase: "Bleed," (“Shukketsusuru,”)

Form: Ink Bottle Knight takes on the simple weapon form of a wooden spear. The haft is composed of some similar spiritual wood equivalent as bamboo or rattan - that is, extremely hard and flexible; colored with a medium brown, akin to a somewhat dark oak-wood or chestnut brown. The length of the spear is extremely long, from tip to end, spanning almost nine-feet exactly. The wood shows vague signs of artistic carving and burning, though one would probably require close proximity to notice. The bottom end of the shaft is flat and cylindrical, while at the top, it becomes ever-so slightly more bulbous, bowing out before narrowing again; smoothly, softly curling into itself like the bottom of a fruit.

Seated within the internally curving bulb begins a thin, smooth leaf or almond shaped piece of brushed metal, made for thrusting rather than linear strokes. The spearhead has slopes that raise up and then back down in thin, closely crafted waves that "twirl", from bottom to top. Contained within it are vertically-flowing dark lines of varying thickness, always beginning thick at the tip and trailing into a thin line. They appear randomly, as if stained to highlight them against the already dark metal of the head. Despite its craftsmanship, the spearhead maintains an even diameter at its outermost and remains a smooth texture if someone were to grip the head's outside diameter.

(spearhead reference)
Ink_by_BloodyBizarre_edit.jpg

Spirit and Inner World: Ink Bottle Knight and the world it lives in are entirely defined by the free-flowing ink that composes them both. Any features it, or the world, have are either made up by the ink or discerned by the ink's absence; the absence of the ink not having any other distinct feature of its own. Ink Bottle Knight also, generally, does not have a specific form, choosing to conceal its true form to its preference of an odd looking black-ink cat.

Its ears are large and its eyes are sometimes empty, faintly-glowing white orbs filling in where the inky, black would normally form irises; usually manifesting when the spirit gets excited or passionate. When it smiles or moves, drips of ink can be seen coming off of its paws, tail, or forming ink streams between its curved, open lips. At times, Ink Bottle Knight will appear more clearly drawn, along with the ink-made world surrounding it, and soft, black eyes, full of consciousness and empathy will form.

Ability: “Diluting Lance” (Kishaku Mori)

Okita’s Diluting Lance allows him to seamlessly transform his spearhead into gently twined brush fibers and back again. The fibers use all manner of sample mediums to paint with.

Ink Bottle Knight will dip visibly into the fabric of matter and then store its memory within the ink that . Once stored, Ink Bottle Knight can temporarily replace or “paint over” the structure of objects, even body parts, with the stored medium. A hand can become made of concrete, clothing can be made to be stiff as wood, or conversely, stone can become cotton and a foot can become glass.

The effect lasts two turns in roleplay, cannot be used directly on energy based attacks *but can be used to block given the attack is equal or lower cost than the activation cost of Kishaku Mori, and enemies can expend an equal amount of their own reiatsu to dispel the effect immediately. It costs nothing to store or change to new mediums but each time the medium is used, it costs Okita 5% of his total reiatsu.

*I would like to remove this sentence but don't want to affect the review. I think it's a given that an attack of equal or lower cost can be negated/blocked/repelled/overcome/whatever by an attack of equal or higher cost...

Getsumi - Approved w/Changes

Alright, from what I can tell, abilities 1 and 3 have already been fixed up in your previous reviews so I'm going to work on ability 2. Now here's where I'm a bit... confused... I'm fine with adding a knock-back to attacks. Now, what I'm confused on is the time limit on the form change. I'm fine with the form change, I'm just going to make it a bit more... intuitive. You write it as being something persistent, so I'm updating it to reflect that. That is, it's going to work more like a toggle switch to swap back. I'm limiting this to physical attacks because 1) It just makes more sense with the form change and 2) Adding in Kidou opens a whole 'nother can of worms. (Random note, dual scythe is horrendously unwieldy) Plus this is a three ability kai so I need to balance it a bit more appropriately for the third ability included. Also fixing up some of the wording to be a bit less... adjective...y.

Also, 15 meter chain dude. That's enormous for a chain to connect scythe blades. Your dual scythes aren't magic like Hisagi's kai and can't elongate/contract at will so what you have is this huge coil of chains trailing everywhere. You'll probably trip.

Approved as follows:

Nightmare Blade

By paying 3% of his reiatsu per turn, Hikaru imbues his physical attacks with pure malice. While active his zanpakutou changes to a cruel claw like twin scythes, one gold the and the other white, both with red handles. These blades are bound together by a long, black chain. This form change lasts as long as Nightmare Blade is active. The blades of his weapon are coated with a searing, ghost white, flame. When an opponent is struck by his physical attack, they are pushed back with a knock-back effect a distance of 10 m.

Ink Bottle Knight - Resubmit

Cool kai theme Lambo. There's a bit of changes I want to make, mainly in this realm of how many mediums that you can hold at a time. I'm also ditching the whole... painting over body parts... Because you could like use your medium as stone and then like hit their neck and change it to stone and instantly kill them. Or you could like change their leg to glass and then it'd probably instantly shatter the moment they took a step.

Keep it to inanimate objects. If this really throws off what you planned for this shoot me a PM/IM and we can work something out. I mean I'm fine with you adding in a ability that specifically allows him to affect his OWN body, but that'll need to be set-up differently. Also as for your line on the energy attack thing, it's actually not always a given. Especially in this case where it's less an attack and more of an environment manipulation.

Resub

Thanks for the review! I rewrote the ability description to be more clear. Now includes number of mediums stored and uses.

Ability: “Diluting Lance” (Kishaku Mori)

Okita’s Diluting Lance allows him to seamlessly transform his spearhead into gently twined brush fibers and back again. The fibers can store a single inanimate object's atomic structure as a sample and then can restructure another inanimate object into the stored medium. Painting can take place in open air, made possible due to the restructuring of protons and electrons that come in contact with the brush "mode" of Ink Bottle Knight, appearing as a trail of the medium applied.

In roleplay, the effect lasts two enemy turns and cannot coexist with foreign reiatsu, making Zanpakuto, magical weapons and items, and combatants or bodies, that contain reiatsu unable to accept the release ability's reiatsu-driven effect.

Additionally, Diluting Lance cannot be used directly on energy based attacks such as Kidou/Gintou/Others but can be used to override reiatsu-charged manipulations to objects or surroundings similar in nature to Diluting Lance, given that the paid cost is equal or greater.

It costs Okita nothing to store a new medium. Instead, Okita pays 5% of his maximum reiatsu to activate application of the medium stored.

i don't. what is happening here. oh boy.

Sousei - Discovery

Sousei, excelsior!

Spirit

Sousei takes the form of what seems to be a mechanical automaton without any kind of plating. All of its parts, from its wiring to each individual moving part, is visible on its seemingly incomplete form. In stark contrast to its mechanical nature Sousei speaks fluent English with the vocal affectations of an young man from the West Coast of America.

Inner World

Sousei’s inner world is can vary wildly. Typically it appear to be an endless void filled with rectangular pillars of varying size and placement. A number of visual “errors” inhabit this space which can range from Keiji seeing himself in a third-person perspective to everything appearing to have been hand-drawn and layered in a sepia tone.

Form

A large white headset with a solid white eyeshield to match that covers the upper half of Keiji’s face as well as a pair of black and white gauntlets. The headset wraps around, covering his ears and connecting at the back of his head. A series of cables connected to a circular port on the back of the headset down trace into individual connectors on the gauntlets. A number of blue LEDs decorate the entirety of the rig, often lighting up and flashing whenever Keiji utilizes reiatsu of any kind.

Ability - Download

Keiji is capable of choosing one single reiatsu construct created by himself or an ally (whether it be kidou or otherwise) and “downloading” it into either gauntlet. Download ability requires 150% of what was paid into the original ability and can only be used on abilities worth up to 5% of Keiji’s total reiatsu. Projectile abilities such as most Hadou spells cannot be downloaded. For each turn that the ability remains downloaded Keiji pays 2% of his reiatsu reiatsu which keeps the it contained and strengthens it by the same amount up to 6% of his total reiatsu, after which point all further payments only serve to keep the item downloaded. When the item/ability is released keiji must again pay but only the flat, unmodified cost of the downloaded target.

Ability - Upload

For 500 reiatsu Keiji is able to input a command into Sousei's released interface and turn his body from physical matter to digital, causing him to vanish entirely. While in this state keiji is incapable of being harmed or observed, but he is also subject to these conditions for the outside world. For each round after the one in which this ability was activated Keiji can pay an additional 150 reiatsu and remain a literal component of the internet. Any time he deactivates the ability he may only reappear within 20 meters of his original position and he can do so no sooner than the turn after it was activated. For the purposes of speed keiji is limited by his total hohou in terms of how quickly he may upload himself in either way.
