Feat/Tech Submission Thread

Sorry Hiren, I thought I making it simpler for you and I was making it harder. This was an actual submission but I tried to simplify all terms, etc. And I was wrong, I only have one Spec point, available from the last PM's with Moot. No rush, obv.

Feat Name: Variable Mover
Feat Type: Unique
Feat Description: Darius' True Awakening ability allows him to implant energy to cause explosions via direct touch to non-reiatsu possessing objects. With this evolution to his powers, Darius can move the energy up to 15m away through adjacent objects, adding range to his explosion abilities.

Paroxysmal Descender

Paroxysmal Descender manifests as mystical symbols on Darius’ body, making Darius a conductor for the energy inherent in light. The symbols appear whenever Darius is invoking his ability as a conductor of that gathered energy. At will, anything that touches Darius’ directly will receive his imparted energy and explode at his subconscious command. Explosions cannot be made directly using beings with their own reiatsu.

Attack: Darius can create smaller explosions for 1% of his reiatsu

Attack: Darius will imbue an object with 15% of his reiatsu into an object giving it force-related explosive properties.

Attack: Darius focuses his explosion power to deliver an chemically induced cloud. The cloud itself contains reiatsu created poison that holds acidic properties. The acidic cloud can break down inanimate objects fairly easily but living and spiritual beings will feel a moderate chemical burn from the cloud. The thick cloud costs 1% of Darius’ reiatsu per 1m up to 10% of his total reiatsu.

KK so I added an initial Arrow amount for Kyuuzu, which should make Suzu acceptible, and swapped out the 2 other techs for new ones.

Kyuuzu (Bow Hand)

Kyuuzu is the discipline of handling an energy weapon, and this stat determines a Quincy’s dexterity with his bow. Kyuuzu can be thought of as ‘skill with a bow’, and thus many Quincy techniques are based on one’s Kyuuzu stat. Kyuuzu also determines the time it takes to fire and a Quincy’s accuracy with their bow, arrow speed, and maximum range are also defined by this stat. Max range is equal to 20m + 1m per 500 Kyuuzu. By default, a quincy maybe fire up to 3 arrows in a turn.
[ Suzumegun] - "Flock of Sparrows"
Quincy who have manifested their weapon can fire arrows as quickly as they can create them, allowing them to loose large amounts of arrows per second. Beginning at 1000 Kyuuzu, a Quincy gains one extra arrow per turn per 250 total Kyuuzu.
Requirements: 1,000 Kyuuzu

[ Stechen] - "Piercing"
Having dealt with hollow kind for generations and their natural durability, the quincy have learned how to deliver their arrows more precisely weaving into the chinks in their armor. By paying 500 reiatsu an arrow a quincy is able to have every other arrow that hits the target ignore any damage reduction it may have. Because of this lethality, wounds inflicted by Stechen arrows are also much harder to heal requiring double the normal amount of time.
Requirements: 5,000 Kyuuzu

[ Spiegel] - "Looking Glass"
Normally a Quincy must divide their shuuhaku pool evenly among all the arrows they fire, Spiegel is the exception to rule. After paying 2500 reiatsu, the Quincy draws back one shot which when fired splits into the max amount of possible arrows the quincy can fire. One of these shots contains the bulk of the used shuuhaku, each other arrow contains only 1 shuuhaku to give them spiritual form. The true arrow in volley exhibits properties of the Adlerauge technique, however it will track up to two deviations from the original arrow path as it attempts to hit its target.
Requirements: 10,000 Kyuuzu

Variable Move – Denied
So, the wording is a bit fuzzy on this. Are you doing a flat increase of range for the ability, or is this allowing you to move a pre-set charge. Also, there’s no cost. You should add in a cost, preferably a % value.

Suzumegun Approved

StechenDenied
Dial this ability back a bit. Set a max limit of arrows that can carry this effect and give them a visual cue so it isn’t just WHAT THE HELL WHY IS THIS ARROW DIFFERENT. And also make it so it can only go barrier that cost less than twice the amount you pay in PER ARROW. That way you don’t just launch like one arrow that somehow manages to penetrate through a Gate of Five Beasts and a Dankuu for no drawback.

Also, a word of warning, AH’s had barrier breaking techs which did similar things, in the whole piercing thing. They’re pretty useless.

Speigel Resubmit
Limit it to one deviation since you’re already launching like a bajillion arrows to freak out the guy. Also this is a pretty powerful level technique. If you notice how the other techs of such a high level work, they cost A LOT. 2,500 rei plus your free rei isn’t that much. I understand Q should minimize their rei usage just the cost needs to go up A TON.

Using Spec Point refunded from Weight of blablabla.

Feat Name: Lightbringer
Feat Type: Unique
Feat Description:
(I'll probably do a more wordy version later.)

The Gist: Activating Lightbringer grants Tsubaki a longsword of living flame, powered by her own spiritual force. Strikes with Lightbringer hit with the power equivalent of whatever Tsubaki's pressure would be at after paying the cost of activating Lightbringer. The technique itself does not cost Reiatsu to activate, but instead lowers Tsubaki's Reiatsu pools in Sealed/Shi Kai and Ban Kai forms by 15%. While Lightbringer is active the Captain is unable to use the [Aura of the Righteous Devil] technique, as the additional force it would generate would be concentrated in the summoned sword. This deduction in Reiatsu remains active until the technique is cancelled.

Example: Tsubaki is at 50,000 Reiatsu before activating Lightbringer. With [AotRD] active her pressure equivalent is 100,000 Reiatsu. Post activation, Her available Reiatsu would be 42,500 and she would have a longsword capable of striking with 85,000 worth of Reiatsu pressure.

Tsubaki gets a lightsaber and everyone around her doesn't have to deal with 140k Rei farts.Win-win.

To Clarify: Doesn't increase damage output, just how hard the blow lands.

k3seraph 11:11 pm
Yeah so it's sort of like Internalize or Fruits of Labor, right?

Beaker321C 11:11 pm
It just means the blow is going to be X more forceful

k3seraph 11:11 pm
In that you get hit by it

Beaker321C 11:11 pm
yeah

k3seraph 11:11 pm
And you will go flying the fuck back

Beaker321C 11:12 pm
exact

k3seraph 11:12 pm
So may just want to clarify
That it's knockback

This increase in reach for his ability is activated as soon as the ability or attack is used, meaning an object within the new range, subject to the original limitations of his ability, may now be charged without Darius directly touching it. When used, each attack cost is raised by 3% in exchange for the range now given. If the ranged version of an attack is not used, the cost remains at what it was originally.

[Spatiotemporal Perception]

Feat Type: Unique

Feat Description: Back when Udo was a newbie in the Ninth Division, he was exposed to the reiatsu of unstable hollows with the ability to manipulate spacetime. The first consequence of this is that his zanpakutou adopted one of their specific abilities. Over time, another change has grown from a funny feeling into a fully developed sense.

Udo can feel the spacetime near him. So if the connection between two points in spacetime is abnormal, he knows about it. If gravity, weight, mass or density is manipulated, he knows about it. He knows the location and movement of anything with mass near him. The range and accuracy of this sense are like vision – the greater the magnitude of a change or abnormality, the easier it is to feel. The closer it is, the easier it is to feel. The greater the mass of something, the easier it is to feel. If something is moving too fast for his eyes, then it’s also too fast for this sense.

Die Rasse Techs~

[Schießbude] Shooting Gallery

Masters of making unexpected moves, Die Rasse agents have learned to use opponents own confidence against them. By paying 1% of their reiatsu per arrow, when hitting a nonliving object, the arrow will embed itself into the object rather attempt to destroy it. At the Quincy’s discretion this arrow my be fired again from its new location. The arrows may be stored however they lose 25% of their Shuuhaku every round they remain embedded in the object.

[Fehlleitung] Misdirection

Use of subterfuge has made Die Rasse members extremely hard to track. The Quincy of Die Rasse have learned to suppress or mask their reiatsu. For those further than 10m away the quincy appears as a normal human with no indication of any reiatsu. By actively paying 1% reiatsu from either their reiatsu or their shuuhaku pool per turn the quincy is able to further distort their reiatsu and embed it with qualities of the race of their choosing to anyone closer than 10m.

[Tanzen] Dancer

Named after the acrobatics most practitioners of this technique like to preform, Tanzen enables a Quincy’s arrows to remain active after coming to a stop. These linger for up to five turns and are only limited by as much weight as the stricture they’re attached to can support.

[Zerreißen] To Tear Asunder

Seeking to disable rather then engage in a drawn out fight, Die Rasse members can trade outright damage for the chance to cripple a target. Zerreißen arrows deal no damage, however they apply a debuff equal to their cost in Shuuhaku to one of the opponents stats based on where the arrow hits. Head shots debuff Kidou, Kyuuzu, and Ability, body and arm shots effect the highest combat stat and legs effect agility. Up to three Zerreißen arrows may be fired per turn. This debuff lasts two single turns.

Also switching Stechen for something new:

[ Gewinde Nadel] - "Thread the Needle"
Master archers, the specialists of Kyuuzu can increase the damage of each subsequent arrow they land. By paying 500 reaitsu a quincy can cause their arrow to work as a bullseye for subsequent shots usually pulsing the color of the quincy’s reiatsu. Hitting a previously fired arrow increases the damage the arrow does by 10% of the quincy’s shuuhaku as each shot drives the previous one deeper into the wound. This effect stacks up to five times and resets once the arrow dissipates, usually at the end of the turn.
Requirements: 5,000 Kyuuzu

[Multicasting]

Feat Type: Unique

Feat Description: Some people talk to themselves. Some people talk to themselves inside their head. Some people talk to themselves inside their head A LOT. Instead of turning into a complete nutcase, Udo found a use for this. By arranging his thoughts very carefully, the shinigami could simulate three of himself at once, inside his own head. This technique allows Udo to cast up to three of the same spell on the same or different targets at the same time. This technique cannot be used with kindou, and cannot be used in conjunction with any other technique that increases the number of spells that can be cast in one turn.

No color tags because my comp is being stupid and not letting me see any of the colors and I'm too lazy to insert them manually.

[Lightbringer] – Resubmit
I like the concept. The problem is, the whole fact that it’s based of reiatsu pressure as opposed to base reiatsu or a stat. If scaled off your rei pressure, there could be like 50000m knockback on each swing. What does 85000 rei to the face actually mean. You can resub this feat but change it to something like... 1000 lbs of force per 10K rei-pressure. That way it’s more like Internalize style knockback which is much easier to visualize. It’s really weird though, because this scales ridiculously well due to AotRD... Contact me and we can go over this more.

[Variable Move] – Approved

[Spatiotemporal Perception] – Approved with changes
Heisenberg would be pretty pissed off at this feat. I mean you can’t really know where the thing is and how fast it's going without some uncertainty. Oh well... magic... set a range for this feat of a 15 meter radius around Udo.

[Shooting Gallery] – Approved

[Misdirection] – Approved

[Dancer] – Approved with Changes
Reduce to 2 turns to prevent hardcore abuse cases with Shooting Gallery.

[To Tear Asunder] – Approved with Changes
... Why not just make it so when you fire the arrow, if it hits it debuffs a stat. Also, limit it to one debuff per stat so you don’t keep stacking this for three turns.

[Thread the Needle] – Denied
I think you just subbed a type of Orph bullet...

[Multicasting] – Denied
Contact me about this one. I feel like it should be limited in a few ways but I want to talk to you first.

Changing Masato's feat slightly.

[Sori Taryoukyou] Unique Feat
(Warp Prism)

featplate2copy.png

By paying 2% of his reiatsu while Katsu Taryoukyou is active, Masato may pass through the fragments of Yuusou Taryoukyou himself -- allowing him to instantly move to the position of any prism fragment in his vicinity. This ability can only be used once per turn for every 2k in Agility to a maximum of five uses.

Just simplifying the mechanics a bit and cutting out the whole 'marking' aspect of it. This way the two feats synergize much better and it's not overly complex

Here's the original just in case;

stuff
[Sori Taryoukyou] Unique Feat
(Warp Prism)

featplate2copy.png

By paying 2% of his reiatsu after an attack dealt by Taryoukyou no Zoufukuki strikes a designated target, Masato may brand the point of impact with a prismatic sigil. The symbol serves as a designator of sorts, allowing Masato to pass through Yuusou Taryoukyou himself -- instantly moving to the marked location. The sigil itself can persist for up to three turns so long as Masato does not move through the portal -- as completion of the technique renders the mark inert. This ability can only be used once per turn, and has a total number of uses per chapter or collab equal to one for every 2k in Agility (max 5).

4 uses instead of 5 pl0x. Also, if anyone wonders why I approved this. Clinking the hyperlink which I didn't notice limits the range of each warp to 10 feet for a cost more than shunpo. So even after 4 uses the max range is still equal to about 2 shunpo. It's just a lot shinier 8|

Alright. After talking with our beloved Hiren who is most high in feat/tech development. Who can stare down a broken feat/tech and make it cower. Who can laugh away the most ridiculous ideas of feats and techs as though he had thought of them years prior and discarded them. Who has transcended the realm of earthly feat/tech. I am taking away Climate Adaptation and replacing it with Wanted. CA is nice, but most likely going to be ignored.

[Wanted]

The uses of getting people where you need them to be in a fight is just as important as having the right tools for the job. And sometimes, the enemy just doesn’t give you a whole lot of time to use your tenriku. Even so, you have a job to do. Whether the enemy cares or not about your constraints.

The Fifth have developed a special technique that allows them to move people freely outside of battle like pawns. Picking them up and moving where tactical advantages are gained. Provided that person is willing.

During battle the stress complicates matters, and as such it creates a wall of sorts. Spiritual pressure is being thrown around a lot of the time, and it disrupts a Founder’s ability to move people freely. If willing, the people being moved may harmonize their signatures to quiet the area and allow the Fifthie to pay 100 reiatsu per person and move them anywhere within 20 m.

I am also resubmitting Schematic, as it is (in my honest opinion) under powered and perhaps nigh useless in most circumstances. Below you will find the new and improved version. The original will below said new version.

[Schematic] ver. 2

Who can deny the satisfaction of victory when your enemy has been denied that which they so valiantly (or vainly) strove for?

Whether they sought to conquer a land, or chase after a particular object, if the Fifth Division stands in their way, they had better look more closely. Hailed as liars and deceivers inside combat as well as outside, members of the Fifth have a chance at the ultimate deceit.

If they have studied a piece of land, are generally familiar with an object or building, practitioners of [Schematic] are allowed to create minor illusions for the price of 1% their reiatsu. This price determines the quality and length of the illusion, while requiring the user to remember the most minute details - usually allowing up to only two illusions at a time due to the mental strain.

These illusions can only be inanimate objects, as people or creatures are too complex to recreate, and can be no larger than 4 cubic feet.

Schematic le Original
[Schematic]

As a Founder, a Fifth division member is privy to structural knowledge others might lack. This makes them unquestionable identifiers of structural weaknesses and strengths, and devious planners. All a Founder has to be is generally familiar with a piece of land, or an object, and they can understand how it is composed. With land that means they remember up to 150 square yards perfectly - every nook and cranny of the place -, but with structures like buildings or siege weapons even, they can put together a map of it in their head perfectly.

While this gift is amazing, it comes at a cost to the Founder. The mental strain on memorizing so many minute and (sometimes) worthless details, makes it difficult to remember more than just one place or object at a time. So if a Founder wishes to learn a new construct or piece of land, they have to forget everything about the last one they had in their head.

On the plus side, during combat in a piece of land they have memorized, a Founder can help guide massive kidou or volleys of kidou that are launched into friendlies so the casualty count on their side is significantly lower. And with increased growth the Founder may even be able to create pockets where those kidou cannot spread.

[Chrysanthemum Blade]

Feat Type: Unique

Feat Description: When Udo learnt the Eighth Division technique Sword Empowerment, he wondered if there was any way to use the reiatsu imbued upon his blade, without casting a spell. Instead of converting his reiatsu into kidou, Udo figured out how to make the reiatsu within his blade vibrate at a cost of 5% reiatsu. These vibrations grate against each other, such that the reiatsu within his blade is sharpened into ten threads, each as long as his blade.

On the next turn, or until he chooses to use them, all of these threads of sharp reiatsu then bloom from the blade like the petals of a chrysanthemum. The speed and strength of these threads are given by his zanjutsu stat.

[ Limit Break ]
Type
: Unique

You know what a set of crystal boots, a gnome war-hammer and a ribbon of justice give you? +1250 to strength. Even though Lucia hasn’t collected all those things -yet- she’s trained extensively in harnessing her brute strength. During a turn that she has Heiryoku activated, she can release the stored reiatsu in her arm as a direct concussive blast, with blunt force equal to her lifting strength, similar to Iaiken. The blast carries the ripping effects of Heiryoku and travels at a speed dependent on her Hakuda stat.

While most spiritually enhanced beings are able to withstand not being completely disintegrated by the sudden force applied to them, it still is damaging and can break bones, inanimate objects are often less lucky. A well placed blast can easily split the earth and pulverize objects it hits.

To activate, she pays the 2% cost of activating Heiryoku for that turn; however, after the sudden release, the ability’s aura is removed for the remainder of the turn.

Heiryoku
[ Heiryoku ] - "Force of Arms"
Type: Trained
A combination of finite reiatsu control, and natural skill in hand to hand combat, those trained in the art of Heiryoku are able to elevate their abilities to the next level. Instead of focusing on increasing the user’s general strength, those trained in this art are instead taught to focus their energy at the instantaneous moment of the strike. The result is a maximization of force at the point of impact.

By paying 2% of their reiatsu per turn activated, the practitioner of Heiryoku bathes their hands the limb of their choice with a thick film of reiatsu, similar to the kidou Breaking Palm. The user’s strikes are enhanced by the amount of reiatsu paid in. The film of reiatsu greatly amplifies the strength of their attacks, allowing the concussive force to easily break the bones of their opponents. Furthermore, the reiatsu acts similar to a chainsaw, allowing the user’s close-combat strikes to easily rip through mundane objects.

Requirements: 8,000 Hakuda or 8,000 Combat

Quincy General Feats:

[Totale :: Longshot]
Certain quincy bend the rules about their natural range forcibly keeping the spiritrons of their arrows together even while others of similar skill cannot. Quincy with this feat are able to make shots at 50% greater max distances. However due to the stress of the shot, any shot made further than the natural range is counted as only 50% efficent.

[Einfallsreich :: Resourceful]
While full devotion to Gintou has long been abolished, certain quincy do prefer the spells over others. Those with this feat double their Gintou tubes from 10 to 20.

[ Seitekrone :: Sidewinder ]
There are those who can exhibit an unusual grasp of manipulating seishi. To the point where even after materialization, a Quincy’s arrows remain firmly under their grasp. This allows a Quincy to manipulate any previously fired arrow, curving its trajectory for up to a 45 degree angle. A single curve may be applied to each arrow.

[ Jäger Markierung :: Hunter’s Marking ]
Once marked, a Quincy’s target must never escape. Taking this simple credence can herald a supernatural focus for the archer, allowing them to ‘lock on’ to a single target provided they remain within line of sight. This marked target is now incapable of utilizing any means of hiding their reiatsu signature from the user without first breaking line of sight.

[ Blitzschuss :: Lightning Shot ]
By sacrificing power for speed, a Quincy can choose to sacrifice their ability to shoot additional arrows for a single round in exchange for granting unprecedented speed for a single one. This is manifested as adding an additional 50% of the user’s Kyuuzu to the arrow’s speed, without directly affecting the arrow’s output.

This needs more limitations. I can see a lot of abuse cases where you can warp away allies from bankai attacks for 100 rei. I understand that you want this to be a nice repositioning support thing mid battle, but it’s sounding like a free dodge. I can see this working but first, the cost would need to increase, and you’ll need to have a cooldown between uses. Also, this should only affect one person per X reiatsu, so that way you aren’t paying like 1000 rei and reorganizing all the allies in HM thread or something like that. The range will need to go down a lot too. Shunpo range is much smaller than 20 meters and other repositioning abilities such as Empathic Block and Bait and Switch are roughly 5m -10m. It’s a cool tech, it just needs to be controlled.

Schematic - Approved w/Changes

Raise the cost to 3%. You’ve made a weaker version of one of Ciro’s feats so I’m fine with that lol.

A fifty percent boost in speed for an arrow that’s carrying the entirety of your shuuhaku, making it that much harder to dodge is really powerful. 50% boost without a super huge draw back considering how hard arrows moving that fast would be to dodge anyway is a bit much.

One more general Q tech and you should be done with me... except for that Kyuuzu tech I need to fix.

[ Karyuudo no Kantoku ] "Hunter’s Perception"
Through generations and generations of dispatching Hollows, Quincy have gained a reputation for being skilled sensors due to their relentless training with it. By noting ambient spiritron flow and feeling for echoes within the flows, a Quincy can start to harness the world to sense things for him. Eventually, with enough practice, a Quincy subsconsciously stirs up spiritrons and uses that to observe his surroundings.

The user of Karyuudo no Kantoku sees a very vivid picture of the world around them, much akin to using eyesight - objects are easily distinguished and their textures as well as color differences can be noted. Practitioners can expect to see through some illusions, but be more vulnerable to others. Illusions without substance would be shown to be fake, but illusions with some sort of reiatsu signature would not. Karyuu no Kantoku modifies the base tech "Spiritual Pressure Perception" and the sensory range is equal to their arrow range. Using this tech costs 1% of the Quincy's Reiatsu per turn it is in use.

Requirements: 5000 Reiatsu
