Feat/Tech Submission Thread

1/3 of my refunded spec points from chara change.

Hexatwist

Type: Trained

To preserve and conserve as much energy as possible, that is the idea. This allows one to cast kidou out from a preexisting kidou. The first kidou will completely transform into the second kidou and all remaining energy in the first will be deducted from the cost of the second. If the second costs less than the first, any extra energy is lost.

Hadou can only be turned into hadou, bakudou to bakudou and chiyudou to chiyudou. Kindou is beyond the scope.

Assuming the kidou has direction, this will not be able to change the direction but an undirected kidou can transform into a directed kidou going in any direction.

This is hard to use on short lived kidou unless some kind of fast/multi cast is used.

Requirements: 8k Kidou

From the Winter/Spring PMs

Aurora Pulse

By tapping a hand or foot on solid objects at the cost of 1% reiatsu Ayako can ‘see’ the internal components as well as items touching within ten meters. She senses the details of the items but consciously knows the various shapes and sizes, outside observers would simply see a pulse of harmless flames. The pulse is temporary, lasting only a few seconds or one turn. The effect can be extended by paying an additional 1% reiatsu per turn afterwards.

First 3 Mystic Techs - Approved

Sora Harukani – Approved w/line

Changed Version
Sora Harukani (Far Skies)
Members of the Tenth Division are capable of utilizing the energy around them with such careful precision that they can replace the spirit particles of the air around them with their own bodies, as well as the people and things they are touching. This ability allows the Mystic to travel anywhere within the user's Reiatsu Noukan range.

This ability requires 750 reiatsu to use per person they are carrying. It cannot be used to pass between separate realms. Furthermore, in order to access the distance that Sora Harukani allows, this ability requires two turns to use. The first turn will activate Sora Harukani. However, due to the necessary concentration required of this ability, hostile acts that either injure or require defense from the Mystic cancels the teleportation attempt. It is not until the second turn that the Mystic will successfully travel to their desired destination. The Mystic cannot teleport into protected areas such as Las Noches.
PBC –Approved

Genkakuido – Approved

Sanmei – Approved

Ikimi Kengeki- Approved

Void Vault – Approved w/change
Limit it to only 1 extra unique item

Gekiretsu Rippuku – Approved (?)
So… I guess a nerf is okay >_>
Blood Legacy – Denied
Tangible memories are like TA/BK level. Like my old TA took 5 turns to build a tangible memory. I’m fine with like a big projector, intangible one but, yeah, no tangible memory creations.
Hostilitas of Ego – Approved w/change
Reduce the payback to 15%
Sacramentum of Cruor – Approved w/Changes
Gargle and I agreed that this is more of a limited use type feat, in reaction to attacks. So instead of having it activated for 4 turns, you can activate it in retaliation to an attack, at a set number of total uses. You can resub if you don't like this idea.
Changed Version
Sacramentum of Cruor (Oath of Blood) -
The bonds of honor and the rigidity of one’s code may seem needless shackles to some, but in experienced and enlightened hands they can prove weapons as effective as a naked blade in defense of those they love. For a cost of 3% of the user’s Reiatsu, the Templar makes an unspoken oath to stand fast in the face of death, absorbing 50% of each attack made against them. This does not reduce the effectiveness of the attack in question, but half of the Reiatsu used to wage it is absorbed by the Templar. This ability can be used once, gaining another use per 5,000 reiatsu, maxing at 3 uses, and provides no additional defense against wounds or damage, merely the determination to continue fighting against all odds.

Acquisition: Training Collab, 9th Seat and higher, cannot utilize Cruor of Adamans in tandem
Cruor of Adamans – Resubmit
So this tech seems to be really really really really expensive for an effect that we’re finding a bit sketchy. Our idea is, lower the cost (like to 5-10%) and give it limited uses and a cooldown in between. Yeah, ponder that and see if you like it. If not we’ll revisit this one.
Hexatwist – Approved

Aurora Pulse - Approved
So yeah, omit “as well as items touching within ten meters.”

Confusion with what I was going to take out, didn't want the internal thingy and forgot to take it out.

Aurora Pulse:

sooo... since I have to move stuff around... I'm removing the Mimic feat and replacing it with Souzen Ishiki.

Souzen Ishiki
(Senses Confused)

All senses are effected by the body's nervous system and its brain sending and receiving neural signals. Through Souzen Ishiki, Mystics are able to establish connections from themselves to the minds of the others around them.

The Mystic summons a smog of a five-foot radius that fills the target through open skin -- ears, tear glands, mouth, nose, wounds. With careful practice and an intricate skill in psychal powers, Mystics may combine their reiatsu with the smog, and then tug on one of the target's neural senses to change the signals that are both received and transmitted by the brain.

By spending 200 reiatsu, the Mystic can alter one of the target's senses (sight, sound, smell, taste, or touch), choosing to add/remove/change a single aspect within the target's senses for the next two turns. At no point can this change be significantly debilitating. Only a single sense may be affected at any one time.

"Mastery of the Earthly Worlds Movements"

General Feat

By mastering knowledge gained by learning Chikaihou Shinou user can extend its usefulness in limited manner to Shunpo.

This allows the user to use Shunpo in mid-air in the living world only once in each turn by paying double cost of it and
exhausting all of the user's Shunpo attempts for that turn.

Requirements: 7,500 Hohou, Chikaihou Shinou

[Name: Libra]
[Type: Gunji Doumei Inga (Fated Alliance)]
[Users: Lucia Frey and Arano]

Strange things happen when human reiatsu mingles with shinigami reiatsu. Strange things indeed, made stranger by those using the reiatsu. Even though it might not be evident from initial view, Lucia and Arano have realized that each one of them is much more intuitive to the world around them than initially thought. Their competitive nature has caused each one of them to analyze not only each other, but everyone around them even more closely, so you know, they can get that FATALITY faster.

By a contribution of 2% reiatsu from both Lucia and Arano, they can combine their sensory capabilities to manifest Libra. Libra is, for lack of a better word, a miniature HUD display that floats constantly over the heads of within 20m of the pair. This HUD contains a health bar (to denote any injuries), a mana bar (to denote reiatsu levels), and a status bar (to denote any active buffs/debuffs/other impairments). Mundane information, such as the person's name, race, division and so forth are collected and stored in a menu, as the information is revealed to the two of them. Finally, information about their abilities is added to a drop-down menu as they are revealed; however, it only states what Arano and Lucia already know about the ability being used.

At either's will, these HUDs can be collected and displayed near themselves as opposed to their natural position. Doing so costs a further 1% reiatsu from whichever is moving the HUDs.

Using one of my refunded spec points.

Name: Heiryoku (Force of Arms)
Type: Trained
Abilities:
A combination of finite reiatsu control, and natural skill in hand to hand combat, those trained in the art of Heiryoku are able to elevate their abilities to the next level. Instead of focusing on increasing the user’s general strength, those trained in this art are instead taught to focus their energy at the instantaneous moment of the strike. The result is a maximization of force at the point of impact.

By paying 2% of their reiatsu per turn activated, the practitioner of Heiryoku bathes their hands the limb of their choice with a thick film of reiatsu, similar to the kidou Breaking Palm. The user’s strikes are enhanced by the amount of reiatsu paid in. The film of reiatsu greatly amplifies the strength of their attacks, allowing the concussive force to easily break the bones of their opponents. Furthermore, the reiatsu acts similar to a chainsaw, allowing the user’s close-combat strikes to easily rip through mundane objects.
Requirements: 8,000 Hakuda or 8,000 Combat

Gargles and Hiren review time.

General Information Announcement: If you intend to submit a change to a race's general tech tree (like new Zan and Hak techniques), that submission also needs GM input and approval.

Aurora Pulse - Approved

Souzen Ishiki - Approved

Mastery of the Earthly Worlds Movements - Denied. General feats should be submitted when you have, at a minimum, the suggested prerequisites for that general feat.

Libra - Approved.

Heiryoku - Approved with very short note.
The effects are not cumulative. 2% per turn, 2% to damage (plus the concussive force and chainsaw effects)

Name:
Soul Strike

Type:
Common

Description:
One of the more crude abilities a fighter of the spiritual realm can learn to use in battle against other spiritual forces. This feat targets an opponent’s power source, their reiatsu. By spending 1% of user’s reiatsu, the user can channel the cost through their fist or foot dealing a blow directly to the target’s reiatsu. This does not stack with any other feats or abilities.

Requirement:
2k Reiatsu

Name: Absolution
Type: Unique
Point: From over yonder. (Spec point 2/3 from chara switch)

Picca can choose to greatly enhances the potency of a barrier or binding ability by condensing its energy. Doing this will make the barrier or binding last only 1 round but greatly increase its energy. The new value of the barrier or binding is the sum of how much power it has over a natural decay. For example, a 4 round decay would mean 100% + 75% + 50% + 25% = 250% value for one turn. As such, a 1 round barrier or binding wouldn't be affected at all.

The cost of the ability remains the same though this feat requires Picca to rest for the same number of rounds that the barrier or binding usually lasts before being able to use again.

Unique feats for Rune! Using refunded points. Awakening is here.

[Slipspace Rupture] - 死角破裂
“Shikaku Haretsu”

A machine equal parts high-technology and arcane magic, Kaisen Karakuri is truly a marvel of scientific advancement. The research both conducted by APACHE and commandeered from the Order on Hollows -- and their ability to tear holes in space-time in particular -- has lead Rune to design a truly peculiar device to add to his puppet’s already impressive array. More of a proof-of-concept than a fully-functioning prototype, Shikaku Haretsu allows Kaisen Karakuri to briefly open a rift in space -- switching places with anyone else in it’s vicinity. A far cry from the arcane ability Hollows utilize -- Kaisen Karakuri can only switch places with a target 10 meters from it. Each use costs Rune 2% of his reiatsu, and the ability can only be activated once per round.

tl;dr - it's a bait and switch o.o;;

[Combat Subroutine] - 戦闘機能
“Sentou Kinou”

This passive feat grants Kaisen Karakuri access to the Advent Human base techniques for it’s focus stat. Alpha Form may use Combat-related techniques, Beta Form may use Resistance techniques and Gamma Form may use Agility techniques. Kaisen Karakuri may only access one technique at a time, and Rune may only select a technique one time per form change. Additionally, Kaisen Karakuri’s focus stat must be high enough to use a technique before it can be selected.

Soul Strike – Resub
Well, it’s not that it’s OP, on the other-hand it’s actually really really really UP. Like 1% of your base rei is 30ish. That’s pretty much nothing to people you fight. You can seriously rack up the numbers, but if you do that, iunno, a 5% energy punch doesn’t seem that spectacular for a T-feat. If you rack up the number some restrictions will come of course as well.

Absolution – Approved w/changes
Reword to add: Pay 5% of your rei when summoning barrier. The barrier will be at 250% and last a single turn. The user cannot use this feat again until four turns have passed.

Slipspace – Approved w/Blah
You were there. Pay 2% and it cannot go through barriers. There’s a four turn cooldown between uses.

Subroutine - Approved

Name: Absolution
Type: Unique
Point: From over yonder. (Spec point 2/3 from chara switch)

Picca can choose to greatly enhances the potency of a barrier or binding ability by condensing its energy. By paying 5% reiatsu, the power of the barrier or binding will be increased to 250% but only last for one turn. The user requires 4 turns of rest before being able to use this feat again.

Motherfuc**** dome of death! :>

Name: [TBD]
Type: Fated Alliance Tech (for Reijuu Kyuketsu and Arashi Ryoujin)
Description: The bond shared by Kyuketsu and Ryoujin has allowed the two of them to, time and again, trample the odds and stare Death in the eye with arrogant grins painting their faces. Their camaraderie is as fortified and resolute as their swords, and through growth, they have learned to incorporate each other’s abilities to compliment one another. By harnessing the elemental properties of Kazeoni, Ryoujin is capable of engulfing the battlefield in a dome composed of gusting winds roughly 50 feet in diameter and 30 feet in height. Kyuketsu can then, with the use of his sword’s destructive potential, embed torrents of spiritual energy into the dome’s lashing winds.

This confined space allows the two fighters to systematically close the gap on an opponent while preventing any method of escape. If an enemy is to touch the walls, the energy detonates and causes damage. This naturally disperses the dome, but if left undisturbed, it will implode in itself after 5 turns, causing damage to anyone (Ryoujin and Kyuketsu included) still trapped inside.

Requirement: 1. To summon the wind dome itself, both Ryoujin and Kyuketsu must pay 1,000 reiatsu each.

2. To empower the force circulating the dome, both men pay a combined cost of 10% (5% each) of their own spirit energies. This same amount is equivalent to how much damage the explosion deals.

Only one left then...

Cruor of Adamans (Blood of the Unyielding) -
The bonds of honor carry a price that cannot be paid by the trivialities of man, a somber truth that each Templar must come to understand in their own way. The Blood of the Unyielding runs fiercely in hearts that cannot abandon the plight of the innocent, nor turn a blind eye to the misdeeds of those who hold power over the meek. For this ideal a Templar will give their blood, their honor, and if need be their very lives. For a cost of 10% of the user's Reiatsu, a Templar trained in this technique can forcibly divert a single foe's attacks and attention to themselves. While this technique is active no action can be made by the enemy to any target aside from the Templar.

While active, Cruor of Adamans prevents the enemy from fleeing the Templar's wrath as well. Any attempts to move farther away than 15 meters from the caster will forcibly place the foe back where they had initially stood before attempting to retreat. This technique may be used in succession, but requires a 2 round cool-down period per use.

Acquisition: Training Collab, 9th Seat and higher, cannot utilize Sacramentum of Cruor in tandem

Replacing Chain Casting with this new division tech after some thought. Being able to increase your kidou is nice, but I don't think it is a worthy division tech. Especially for the Fifth.

[Climate Adaptation]
Most people want to be prepared for any situation, but most only carry that as far as combat events. Since there isn't a heavy focus on direct combat in the Fifth Division, a different sort of preparation is required. One that allows the Founder to better handle the adverse climates he wishes to establish before a fight. After all, what do you gain by getting frostbite from your own wintery effects?

If the Founder is in a climate they are unaccustomed to, they pay a small tribune to help their body adapt to these conditions. Whether it be hot or cold, brilliantly bright or depressingly dark, the Fifthie pays 500 reiatsu for each alteration of their body. These alterations in the body will not negate natural effects of kidou, however the tolerance of environmental conditions is extremely heightened.

Feat Name: Ten Thousand Sins
Feat Type:
Unique
Feat Description: Upon engaging the foe she was sent to dispatch in Hueco Mundo, Tsubaki fell prey to a feigned weakness on the part of her opponent. Once the beast used the moment of confusion to immobilize her, one of the core pieces of the Hollow took possession of her right eye, forever tainting it with the toxic presence of the beast's malice. At an initial cost of 10% of her Reiatsu, Tsubaki can reveal the eye to her opponent. For each round the target is within visual range they incur a 5% Emptiness penalty. Beings such as Vizards, Arrancar & Hollows incur 10%.

In addition, for each round the eye is in effect the victim will begin to suffer hallucinations of sight and sound. Some may witness those they love suffer horrible deaths, others may hear the screams and wails of forsaken women and children. Should the effects remain in play for 5 rounds or more the victim will begin to suffer increased paranoia, even to the extent of feeling unearthly creatures slithering and twisting around their limbs.

While powerful, the longest Tsubaki can keep this technique active is 9 rounds. Attempting to force it further results in the unholy power sealing itself, making it unusable for a period of two weeks (Real time).

Okayyy... So I decided that the reason why I don't like Hitomane is b/c of the line: "It can only be used on the turn immediately following when the ability was first applied." I figure that it already has enough limitations to remove that, so I'm resubbing in hopes of getting a div tech that's actually usable.

Hitomane (Mimicry)

Mystics have the ability to read the most intricate fluctuations of spiritual energy. Therefore, whenever another summons an ability that utilizes some expenditure of reiatsu, the Mystic can temporarily imprint a map of the inner energy coursing through the target in their own mind. This imprint lasts for only a brief period of time, but within this frame, the Mystic can replicate the reiatsu paths and ultimately mimic the ability used.

However, a mimicked ability lacks the efficacy and naturalness of the primary user. All mimicked abilities are therefore 25% more expensive than normal, with no increase in potency, and can only be used in the same battle. Kai abilities and unique feats are particularly specific to the primary user and cannot be mimicked. Hitomane is also blocked if the Mystic lacks an item or insignia that is required to act in concordance with the ability. The Mystic can only copy abilities that do not require a mechanic unavailable to their race.

It's been 26 days since feats and I'm on vacation but I'll still do them. I'll take the penalty next week stats. Gargle I sent you a PM 6 days ago with no reply. I also sent you one 1-2 days ago with no reply. I can't get in contact you because of the 11 hour time difference so I'm just doing them now so this doesn't get delayed forever.

Plus, dodgy internet keeps breaking out and the power keeps getting cut here so even if I wanted to, there's no way for me to get in contact consistently.

Don’t give emptiness to people who don’t have a mechanic for emptiness like a human and regular shinigami. At least vizards and hollows have a way to get rid of it. For vizards it should really only work when their masked, so then when the unmask they can actually try to get rid of it. Plus if you use it while they’re masked you’re pretty much going to force them to demask to get rid of it and then dely their re-masking. Mindrape part is fine.
