Guys, it's filling some awfully stylish shoes to start acting as primary grader for the Tenth and Eighth Divisions. I'm humbled and honored. But give me more to grade next week, okay?

TENTH ANNOUNCEMENT
After PMs resolve I'll be having an open collab about the ultimate fate of Captain Maikeru. While this is open to all, I'm asking that all Tenth PCs and NPCs attend. Lets give Lil a proper send-off, yeah?

Dys

Glad to see you writing more! Keep it up! Take 100 Division Bonus this week, and look forward to our next collab, probably after PMs wrap up. One thing you should note, you're behind a week, I think. Pretty sure the current week is 272.

Cubic Challenge
I love this more than I can say. My love for it is like a truck, berserker. But seriously, I like how detailed the struggle was, how much effort a task simple to Adele became when trying to do it with Soshi. You don't often see the struggles and challenges of someone having just learne an ability, they usually suddenly become masters of it. Adele didn't. Adele naturally learned fine contol and longevity. That's something to be proud of as an RPer. And you managed to make a chapter that might've been mundane actually extrememly interesting to read, which should make you proud as a writer.

Song of the Reiatsu
I noticed a few words dropped, probably just a subconscious attempt to write faster to keep up with your thinking, I do that sometimes too. But beyond that I enjoyed this chapter a lot too and makes me think that Hitomane might be a good fit for your next technique when we get to that point. I also really hope to see these little quirks and themes you have emerging manifest in your release's abilities. After this week you should be getting close enough to shikai that you should definately start planing it out if you haven't already. Last little thing: try to remember to include a wordcount at the end of a chapter you write. It makes things easier for me.

Wayne
Hey, ask and ye shall receive, huh? 50 Division Bonus, for, you know, just bein' there..

Decimation
I was all set to write you a lengthy diatribe about building your audience up and letting things go, or about the missed opportunities to mix militia and mystical elements, or on and on until about a third of the way through the chapter. Then suddenly there was the ride I ha been hoping for. Maybe I'm a bit jaded, but a gunfight where one person can cause things to blow up with magic is the appetizer the real meal was the hollow slaughtering the team. Though now I'm interested in what our buddy in New York's up to. Does he mind that Adelaide's about to blast the living hell out of midtown Manhattan? More importantly, what is Zero Valhalla? You bet I'm staying tuned.

Rob here from Lisbon giving you crappy grades. Beaks, contact me about possibly grading for me if you're up for it for like next week or someshit.

Anyway, here we go:

Beaks - 54 + 75 division bonus

I liked this chapter, and I will give you full points for it. Tsubaki's I'm not a goddamn hero speeches were nice, and really made me think to myself: Yep, this is Tsubaki through and through and I'm glad I get to see this side of her again.

Not much more to say here, unfortunately, since I'm seriously pressed on time. Keep up the good work man!

Katie - 55 + 75 division bonus

You've got a hectic few weeks ahead of you, don't you? I can't say I envy you.

As with Beaks, I'm pressed for time, but I really liked what you did in this chapter. And I like how the Tea House Adelaide frequents, frequently returns. I'm really sorry I don't have any more comments for you - maybe next week? - but keep up the good work girl!

IF I MISSED ANYONE LET ME KNOW

So, yeah, me be grader for group 1. Doesn't look like anyone other than myself wrote, though.

Hiren, your grade will be up shortly.

Fun and Games 79/79

All in all this was an enjoyable collab to write with you, and I look forward to writing more.

There weren’t all that many errors that I spotted on either of our parts, so kudos there. I do feel like we need to flesh out Hare and Lucia’s interactions. Some of the turns with dialogue felt like the two of them were talking right past one another and grabbing ahold of things that weren’t even a part of the conversation.

Aside from that, there was a lack of description, but when your character isn’t looking around the room at specifics what do you expect.

I think I need to have Hare start zapping people who sit in his chairs, just to get them moving around the office.

Ketch, Colin, and Moony split division bonus

Atracon:
Alright, where to begin on this one... There’s a lot of really good bits and a lot of bits that could use work. I’m going to start off with my overall impressions and then sort of section off into individuals so let’s get started.

As a whole, this collab was a fun read. Everyone did a great job in making it feel like a high-stakes fight. There were a lot of interesting tactics and the back and forth in the fight was overall really good. Even through Arano’s pause button overdrive, you guys kept the tension high and prevented it from simply lagging through that section. The turns in general seemed to flow directly into one another and there was little to no repetition between them, so fantastic job on that.

But, there were some elephants in the room that need to be talked about. Parts of this fight seemed to, how should I put it, simply spiral out of control. This mainly is something I’ve seen in general in the RP as of late, and I feel should be addressed. I think what many people forget is that each turn is a finite set of time. While we don’t tend to put direct time markers on the length of turns, they’re supposed to be quick bursts of time. As such, there is physically only so much that can happen in that window. Sure there are work arounds, i.e. fast acting and slow acting abilities, but none-the-less, there’s already an upper cap of what can occur in a turn.

What I noticed often was that one person would push that boundary, for example stacking hollow attacks, causing another character to respond with even more abilities at once, creating a spiraling of abilities. There’s nothing wrong with launching simply defending an attack and responding with a simply but tactical strike back. I don’t see the reason to unload huge amounts of reiatsu every turn, when things like that are usually saved for climactic finishers. It seems to overall dilute the effects of these cool moves when they’re used almost every other turn.

Going into individuals, I’ll start with Moony. Your fight writing has improved leaps and bounds which is always fantastic to see. However, throughout this collab, I felt that Zakki spent most of the time being eclipsed by the others. You really need to play up Zakki’s strengths, and make him shine a bit more. I feel like this could be done through really adding descriptives to your turn to play up their strength and power. After all, considering he’s throwing radioactive darts and rods, I feel as if there’s a whole lot more possibility that can be added into that.

Colin, as usual you have a great grasp over the tone of a fight and really stay in character when it comes to actions and reactions. However, I saw a lot of the previous ability vomit in some of your turns. This may have come from writing both Mouko and Arano at once. There were some points, mainly the enormous turns that really were filled with ability spam. It’s something that I need to work on too, but in general, there’s no harm in keeping responses simple.

Ketch, you need to plan out your hollow as a whole before diving into the writing. It seemed to have a menagerie of abilities that caused the entire thing to appear this unfocused mess of a threat. Blood explosion, madness infection, tentacle attacks, it really seemed to be a hodgepodge of many abilities. As such, it also caused some of the ability vomit as you’d use many unconnected abilities at once. Sometimes one ability, that can be used creatively, can allow for a lot of opportunity.

PM BONUS NOT INCLUDED
Moony: [160/168]
Colin: [265/272]
Ketch: [169/179]

Ketch
Fearmonger [70/72]
It’s refreshing to see someone fail what seemed to be a training collab. More often than not people just kind of go through the ropes and learn it. The back and forth between Manzou and Tsubaki was interesting and there was a lot of tension built up. I feel as if it could have been slightly longer as the end seemed to quickly defuse the tension and didn’t seem like a powerful climactic moment to me. Other than that though, your writing and characterization was great.

Tom
The Melencholy [157/157]
There's alot of dry humor in your writing which I find fantastic. What I like more is that the humorous comments are interwoven between actual plot narrative which gives it a great flow. It almost seems darkly comedic to me which is a writing genre that I find refreshing in the RP as we don't really have many writers who enjoy venturing into that territory. You're piecing together a really great ensemble cast too, which I love. A well developed cast of characters creates so many story opportunities and actually makes pchaps seem more like the creation of a world rather than a linear story.
Rob
Resurgence [52/56]
Alright so, I’m confused. Maybe the thought of Nana actually being a god confuses the crap out of me. While I applaud the creativity behind it, I’m honestly left with a bunch of nagging questions on how far this plot is capable of stretching without going into the over-the-top area. I feel as if you should plan out the rest of this arc carefully, because the whole shinigami-god-but-not-really is making me feel rather wary. Maybe I’m simply making a quick judgment without knowing the rest of the plot though. Mechanics and story structure wise though, this chapter was written well. Just the plot man.

Is it just me, or is the RP pretty slow lately? Barely anything from Group 4, let alone 11thers. Oh welp.

Vin – The Adventures of Quincyman, Part Deux

I gotta say, for writing a Quincy, you’ve managed to make the story pretty engaging. This was a nice back-story chapter on Garren’s family, particularly with the estranged relationship he has with his dad. Richard’s standpoint as a character was something I was particularly fond of, and I do hope you expand on it some more. Same goes with the mom and sister, but more so with the pappy. I’m looking forward to when they actually interact, since only then can we get to see Richard’s persona come full circle. Great work for this one, and since you’re the only sum-bitch to write this week for Group 4, take full division bonus.

Grade: 57 + 150 Division Bonus

Undies – It’s All Fun and Games... Until Someone Gets Knocked Up

More noble business. Glorious.

In reflection to your comments for Hiren, this was indeed an enjoyable collab even for the reader. It was lighthearted in tone, and the comic relief was just about right in fitting to the scenario. If there’s one thing I’d like to point out, it’s Haresuno’s ability (and his constant self-reminding) to separate work from family affairs. Nobility and the Gotei tend to not mix well together, so good on him for being extra cautious of that fact. Story aside, I didn’t see any glaring grammatical issues, save for one little lack of spacing between words right by the beginning. That nitpick aside, everything seems golden.
