Kidou / Gintou Submission Thread

Healing Breeze - Chiyudo #89, 4500 kidou
Description: A steady wind blows from behind the caster and courses over a 30-foot wide swathe in front of him. The wind lasts for 3 turns and elicits a pleasantly warm, tingling feeling when it touches exposed skin or wounds.

During the first turn, minor wounds are entirely healed, moderate wounds are closed, and major wounds stop bleeding. During the second turn, moderate wounds are entirely healed and major wounds are closed. During the third turn, major wounds are entirely healed and lethal wounds are stabilized to the level of major wounds.

Incantation: Bring the warmth of good health. Carry away the coldness of suffering and death. Destroy the wounds which plague us. Chiyudo #89, Healing Breeze.​


Vengeance - Chiyudo #90, 3500 kidou
Description: An otherwise incapacitated fighter may be returned to the semblance of full health and given a transfusion of 3000 reiatsu to use in combat. The spell lasts for 2 rounds. Targets of the spell may fight as if they have sustained no wounds whatsoever for the 2 rounds, but return to incapacitation unless they have received treatment by the end of the spell.

Incantation: Burn with anger! Seethe with wrath! Seek your revenge, destroy your enemy! Chiyudo #90, Vengeance.​


Superior Cleansing Barrier - Chiyudo #91, 5000 kidou
Description: A kidou barrier 40 feet in diameter spreads around the caster. The barrier creates a sterilized work environment that destroys even reiatsu contaminants that cost less than the barrier cast cost, though doing so degrades the barrier.

Any healing done inside the barrier has a 100% increase in efficiency and effect. The caster must remain inside the barrier at all times to maintain it. Due to the concentration required to keep it up, only one can be created per battle.

When creating the barrier, energy must be gathered between two palms pressed together and allowed to flow outward from the user and into the barrier.

Incantation: Cleanse the wasted land and purify the weeping moon. Cast out all ravages of the bleeding world and erect a haven for the victims. Secure our minds and our bodies. Chiyudo #91, Superior Cleansing Barrier.​
 
Healing Breeze - Denied. I like the idea of a healing wind, really. The problem is that this spell is stronger than any single-target healing spell and effects everyone within a moderately large range.

Vengeance - Denied. Again, I like the idea of this spell, and I've considered something similar before. However, the cost and effect are way out of proportion. I would also expect that even such a revival spell would only restore a character to partial status (50-75%).

Superior Cleansing Barrier - Denied. This one is just too powerful. Buffing spells by 50% (Greater Cleansing Barrier) is already very potent. Doubling the effects of the Greater barrier just goes a little too far.

Raiden Tougyou (Lightning Control) - Bakudou #89, 6000 Kidou

The caster points their finger at their target in a fashion similar to Byakurai. A highly charged bolt of electricity shoots out from it. If this bolt meets the target's head or mask, the actual kidou will activate. The electricity will permeate through the brain, going into the nerves. Now the caster alters the electric signals sent by the brain to the nerves, indulging in a reversal of the control of the body.

For the 3-turn duration of the spell, the victim's nervous system will completely reverse. For example, if the target attempts to move his/her/its left arm, then the right leg will move instead. Attempt to close close your mouth, and your eyes will close. This is relative to pain as well. If a person is struck on an arm, then the actual pain will be felt on the reverse limb. Because of the unnatural movements of the body, the foreign lightning bolt will work with their own bio-electricity and shock them for one-third the cost of the spell each time the enemy moves.

Incantation: God of the storm, king of the disaster, charmer of the lightning's power! Unify your strength and relinquish your control to strike the enemy senseless, and destroy his sense of self. Leave behind nothing but a singed shell of their former bodies. Bakudou #89, Raiden Tougyou!
 
Way too much going on here. So let's fix it up, and Approve as below:

Making a minor change to a kidou to make it far more deadly


Mind Blast - Hadou #72, 2000 Kidou
Description: Upon casting the spell, the user must make direct eye contact with their target in order to hit them with a wave of psionic force. This rush of energy jumbles the target's thoughts, making it more difficult to think swiftly. As a result, for the next two rounds, the affected target is unable to bypass kidou incantations.

Mind Blast - Hadou #72, 2000 Kidou
Description

Kind of "extreme". Not sure if this is something to be used with PCs but figured it work against NPCs, maybe in PMs or something. Thought it'd be cool :/... completely not inspired by the Hell movie coming up, by the way...

Sennen Rengokukin (Thousand Years Purgatory Seal) | Kindou #109 | 20,000 Kidou

Description: The user places their hand against the ground and from outside the 4-foot diameter around them, the ground crumbles in the form of a ring with a 30-foot diameter; all the ground that crumbles away reveals the red depths of Hell around them with spikes on the edge of the abyss and chains stretching across the hole. From all around the ring, several 50-foot long skeleton arms with golden chains and shackles around them reach upward and grasp the target and drag them into the hole. The chains wrap around all the skeleton arms to seal the target. The pillar of earth the user stands on then crumbles and flys upward to reform the ground, sealing the gate.

Incantation: "The arrogant bull trespasses on the foot of the clouds! Seven-thousand swords protect, eight-thousand stones are tossed into the depths with the forgotten! Ye Lord, Amaterasu turns her back to the Flying Lotus! Wings of the dragonfly, hand of the giant, come together and ascend towards the burning sun in the east! Chase the serenity of the White Koas and end your eternal suffering! Falter and breathe in the nightmares of the transforming cat! Condemned lechers, reach through the limits of the mortal and spare none but the servants of the divine! Kindou #109, Sennen Rengokukin!"
 
Sennen Rengokukin - Denied

For a number of reasons. First, you cannot submit Kindou unless you have the Kindou trained feat. Second, a new Kindou is always 1 rank higher than the previously submitted one. The highest current kindou is #103, so the next submitted will be #104.

More importantly, this is described as essentially an "I win" button. It's either the most destructive possible Hadou -- and no auto-kill hadou will pass -- or a dimensional shift into the dimension of Hell, a plane we haven't explored and have no means to escape. Kindou is not meant to be directly offensive -- it is not just Hadou+ or Bakudou+.

 
Gintouuuuu. Will I know you said you wanted to deviate from the tube dramatics, however due to the way the system has been built, the tubes are key...I know, it's lame but doing anything else makes it way too close to Kidou.

Gerade:

Gerade Fissur (Straight Fissure) -- 1000 Gintou

By dashing the contents of the tube(s) against the ground, the caster is able to cause the ground to crack and send a fissure streaking towards their opponent. Flames erupt from the fissure at the point of impact, causing a column of blue flame to erupt about the victim.

Globalen Flamme (Global Flame) -- 1500 Gintou

By spilling the contents of the tubes over their hands and clasping them together while calling out the name of the Gintou, the caster is able to create four balls of flame that surround their opponent to converge upon them at the caster's command.

Gerade Klinge (Straight Blade) -- 2000 Gintou

By spilling the contents of the tubes in a line before them, the caster is able to create a flat sheet of Gintou energy fifteen feet wide but only a hair's width wide. On their command they are able to cause the flat sheet of energy to extend in a straight line towards their opponent in a manner similar to that of a horizontal guillotine.

Sprengen Verwirrung (Blast Confusion) -- 1500 Gintou

By flinging the contents of their gintou tubes into the air in front of them, the caster is able to cause the spirit particles in the air to vibrate at such a high frequency that they produce an almost inaudible whine. The noise induces sensory disorientation in their opponent and causes great pain in the ears.

Sprengen Kollision (Blast Collision) -- 2500 Gintou

By again flinging the contents of their gintou tubes into the air before them, the user is able to excite the spirit particles in the air so much so that they begin to collide with each other, creating a shockwave and explosion 20m in diameter.

Bereich Verwüstung (Area Devastation) -- 4000 Gintou

By pouring the contents of their tubes into one palm and placing the other hand cupped over it, the user is able to coat the palms of their hands in Gintou energy creating a miniature sphere within their hands. At their command they may release their hands and allow the contained energy to rush towards their opponent, mixing with the reishi in the air as it does. The sphere expands to ten feet in diameter about the opponent then explodes in a violent explosion of flames and shockwaves that completely surrounds the opponent.
 
Ō no Gajō (The King's Stronghold) - Bakudou #93, 7500 Kidou

Description: A king will protect his subjects so long as they accept his dominion and submit to his will. The user will kneel on one knee and place one palm on the ground, the other arm resting on knee as if they were kneeling to royalty. A symbol will appear on the user 's forehead that represents who they are as a person, unique to each caster. This symbol can be any size and shape, but its lone purpose is to signify that the caster is know under the protection of his king. Once cast, any attack or ability within the range of 20 meters in any direction from the caster that costs less than the amount kidou spent will lose its effect or power (if physical) or simply vanish (if based from reiatsu). It cannot work on anything directly tied to a spiritual being, such as his Zanpaktou, True Awakening, or Quincy Cross. Anything produced from such objects, however, is fair game. During this kidou, a tesselation of the user's symbol will surround them in a half-shape to further protect them. The larger area of protection lasts for two turns and retains full strength for both of them, but the inner barrier lasts for 4 and the standard barrier values apply.

Incantation: The kingdom's guard, sworn to protect the citizens. The warning bell sounds to prepare the people for war as the king gathers his trusted people into the sanctuary. As the opponents enter his domain all magic ceases, the courtyard is silent, and the enemy's armory collapses inward. Bakudou #93, Ō no Gajō!​

Gun no Kyōsei (Army's Force) - Hadou #93, 7500 Kidou

Description: The user will hold out his Zanpaktou and begin the chant, standing firmly. As the incantation begins, 75 translucent copies of the user's blade composed of 100 reiatsu will appear in their general area. Each will be a slightly different color and once the user finishes the chant, each copy will be absorbed by the original Zanpaktou and transfer its strength. Once the absorption is completed, the blade will crackle with reiatsu and the kidou energy spent will be directly transferred into the striking power of the user's next five strikes. If the user opts not to absorb them, the copies may also be turned outward and slash out at everything within a 20-meter radius of the caster.

Incantation: The kingdom's army, sworn to crush the enemy. The call to arms begins as each soldier takes up a weapon to defend their honor. As they march forward, seventy-five warriors race outward to drive back their many opponents to finish the war. Hadou #93, Gun no Kyōsei!​

Now, for Bish and everyone else: the accents are cute. Really, they are. I'm also proud of those of you who have the unicode for symbols like Ō and ō memorized. Please stop putting in submissions using accents, though. Not only is it difficult for most users to write them without copy-pasting (most laptops seem to hate unicode, also), but if you're going to apply something like that, it would need to be universal.

For the reasons above, it's not going to be universal.

Romaji is fairly inconsistent to begin with, so using -ou is just as accurate as, and more accessible than, -ō.

Okay, moving on to the actual reviews: Ou no Gajou is Denied. Its effect is extremely similar to the Kindou Asobikurasu, at the same cost, with extended duration. As if that weren't enough, it seems to have conventional barriers on top of that.

Gun no Kyousei is Approved with changes, as outlined below:

Gun no Kyousei (Army's Force) - Hadou #93, 8000 Kidou

Description: The user will hold out his zanpakutou and begin the chant, standing firmly. As the incantation begins, 80 translucent copies of the user's blade of varying colors will appear in their general area. Once the user finishes the chant, each copy will be absorbed by the original zanpakutou and transfer its strength. Once the absorption is completed, the blade will crackle with reiatsu and the kidou energy spent will be directly transferred into the striking power of the user's next strike.

I've finally got around to writing up some new division techs so the ones that are being replaced I want to convert to chiyudou:





Numbing Touch – Chiyudou #27, 150 Kidou

Description: For those instances when anesthetic isn't available, this spell would allow the healer to anesthetize a patient for a procedure or for transport. A secondary application would be for the numbing of an entire section of their patient's body with their touch. The numbing would only affect enervation of the surface tissues, i.e. skin and muscles, where most sensory nerves are located.

Incantation: Sleep, Warrior. You’ve done enough. Chiyudou #27, Numbing Touch.​

Ghost Surgery – Chiyudou #37, 300 Kidou

Description: Many times, a patient is afflicted with an illness or injury that is located in a place that is too delicate for surgery, yet must be healed to prevent loss of life. Upon learning this spell, a healer would learn to phase their hands so they could pass through their patient's body and operate on the damage. Requires the use of Chiyudo #30 at the same time in order to see properly.

Incantation: With sight unerring and hands as steady as the great mount, infirmity shall not take this soul. Chiyudou #37, Ghost Surgery.

Extension: This spell can also be used offensively, but in a more limited manner. The user spends an additional 200 kidou to reach a maximum penetration of 1 inch.

Incantation: With sight unerring and hands as that pierce like a blade, justice shall be served. Chiyudou #37, Ghost Surgery part two.​
 
Bloody Touch - Hadou #52, 1000 Kidou

Description: A quite misleading spell as it main purpose isn’t to possess a great destructive powers but to allow caster to transform a part of the dealt damage to rei that he can then reabsorb for the future use. After completing the incantation user hands and everything it holds in it envelops a crimson glow for a three rounds. Each minor wound allow regaining 100 rei, moderate 200 rei and major 300 rei.

Incantation: Spirits of the restless dead hear my voice. Mark this soul with you touch and bring on it deserved fate, Hadou #52, Bloody Touch

Extension: Blood spitting, 500 Kidou. By the cost of instantly remaining time when Blood Touch is active user could concentrate glow in for ranged attack that have the same effect. Each remaining turn add 150% of the base value to any rei gain (max two remaining turns).

Incantation: Reach to my enemies o mighty restless dead, Hadou #52 part two, Blood spitting.
 
Appealing for the replacement of Hadou #50: Jiraigen. If it first comes out as a wave, then I'm assuming it does nothing to harm the target. By the time it turns to these stationary 'spheres,' the target would more than likely have already tried to evade the wave and flash-stepped away. Plus, is anyone really even using this spell?

Replacement:

Reitouten - Hadou #50, 1000 Kidou

Description: Following the same principles as Haien, Reitouten allows for the user to completely freeze solid a targeted object. The caster can either grab a part of his opponent to glaciate, or throw a flickering snow-white orb of energy towards them. Once connected, the damaged mark becomes brittle and easily breakable.

Incantation: A civilization freezes, wolves howl the music of oblivion. Bring forth the ice and snow which glaciates the land of sin, Hadou #50, Reitouten.


If zeh appeal is denied, I'm making it just hop on for spot number 52, with 1010 Kidou.
 
Replacing hadou num 40, seeping darkness. I made that a while ago but I don't think it was ever used. And it has some tacky conditions for getting rid of the effect too. No idea what I was thinking.

Koshou (Little Thrust) - Hadou #40, 490 Kidou

An advanced version the first Hadou. Koshou creates an arrow along one of the casters limbs. Usually the arm is used but legs are fine too. The arrow does nothing until the caster chooses to trigger them. Before triggering, something small should be placed upon the arrow, any point is fine. Once triggered, the object is launched out at sonic level speeds. A larger object could be used but the speed decreases dramatically with anything over 1 kg.

The arrow will last up to three rounds or one use.

Incantation: An arrow, straight and true, shall pierce through the heart of you. Hadou #40, Koshou

Even if chronologically, Haien came first, it seems a little silly to say "it works like this higher level spell." Approved as below:

Description: An advanced version the first Hadou. Koshou creates an arrow along one of the casters limbs, usually an arm. The user can place a single object against the arrow weighing no more than 3kg. The spell will hold the item in place until the caster triggers it with a burst of reiatsu. Once triggered, the object is launched out at sonic speeds. Weight and bulkiness of the item will affect its range and accuracy.

The arrow will last up to three rounds or one use.

Incantation: An arrow, straight and true, shall pierce through the heart of you. Hadou #40, Koshou
