:: Initial Awakening - Gospel of John ::
Form:
Ciro’s Initial Awakening form is much more mundane that most Advents. For all intents and purposes, there is no change in his appearance. The only change in the constant seeping of his crimson reiatsu into the area around him, creating a continuous red haze in the area. Occasionally, a small spark of reiatsu will occur around him, before fading.
Crown of Thorns:
By maintaining eye contact with a target for at least ten seconds, Ciro may spend 2% reiatsu to seep into the mind of that target. This draws a single memory relevant to the target's current state of mind, allowing Ciro to flip through that memory like a storybook and simultaneously forcing the target to relive that memory as an outsider looking in, feeling everything that was felt back then, knowing everything that would happen, but unable to change any part of the memory. Ciro has the option to speak to the target as they watch.
Regardless of the memory's duration, in reality the effects occur within seconds.
Denial of Peter:
While active, Ciro emanates a continuous aura of power, dwarfing those around him. Enemies see it as a poison, decaying their ability to reason logically while they stay in a 15 meter radius around him. As time progresses their movements become erratic, almost more animalistic, primal. Blind emotions take over their thoughts rather than a carefully planned strategies. Ciro pays 3% of his reiatsu per turn to create this aura.
Resonance Attack - Logos:
A higher echelon of strength is granted to Ciro as he reaches a higher resonance. By paying 2% of his reiatsu per tun, Ciro can amplify the latent reiatsu in the area around him. The effect is twofold. While active, his reiatsu appears to be continuously be climbing in perceived pressure. In the same vein, activation of Crown of Thorns is amplified, allowing Ciro greater flexibility in type of memory he can read from, allowing him to instead search by emotion or time rather than simply what is currently in their thoughts.
:: True Awakening - Revelation of John ::
Form:
Throughout his life, the dormant insanity of a man stricken through tragedy was something Ciro Martelli attempted to keep in check. He lived in a life where he deferred his own weakness towards others. He played them like pawns, watching them sacrifice their lives in a need to serve.
However, after being played by Raifuku, his personality was permanently changed. Fragmented and refocused, it created an obsession. Whether it was an overcompensation by his mind to deal with the fact that he was losing control, this change in psyche destroyed his previous powers. No longer could he command the world. Instead deep down he knew that it commanded him.
Upon activating his True Awakening, he taps into his own primal fears, harnessing them, falling deep into the madness he kept stored. His personality changes, one of pure carnal instinct. An instinct to bring others under his unrelenting dominion, to take the place as a god. However, while his goal is to descend to divinity, the actual outcome is one harkening to a demonic force.
Crimson reiatsu wraps around his body, hugging tightly to his body. It emanates backwards, as if it was being continually buffeted by a powerful wind. The energy wraps around his head, masking his mouth and forehead, leaving only his eyes visible. The reiatsu solidifies around his wrists, creating Rings of Solomon. A chain is created from one of the points, draping down to the side of him. At the end of each chain is a smaller version of the symbol, the points sharp and able to cut through even the most durable of objects. They stretch to a distance of 3 meters at max length, but can be retracted forcibly by Ciro to a more appropriate length. On touch they feel superheated with reiatsu, causing them to brand the skin.
A corrupt version of his earlier awakenings, instead of multiple reiatsu threads running through the stage, similar chains run through the entirety of the battlefield. Wrapping around one another to create thing bundles of metal, they dig through all nearby structures and objects, pulsating with a malevolent energy. Ciro cannot control these as he can with the ones around his wrist.
The chains extend around his body as well, crossing over him as if he is continuously being bound by his own psyche. As his resonance increases, the chains break as he returns to his own latent psyche.
Image of the Beast:
The Ikikami’s will the dominant. A man branded by a God remains faithful to the lord. By striking an enemy, either directly or through one of his chains, by paying 3% of his reiatsu, Ciro can brand them with an Image of the Beast, taking the form of a Ring of Solomon. Once branded, the effects are instantaneous. No matter the actual differences in spiritual power, Ciro appears to be stronger, his pressure always being perceived to be something unobtainable and lingering high above.
While marked, a seeping madness infuses into their minds, distorting it and warping it to match Ciro’s own. A fear of their god is struck into them, greatly decreasing their urges to attack Ciro. Furthermore, their emotions and thoughts become erratic through fear, decaying their logical reasoning and hampering their abilities to react and perform attacks while the mark infects them. Repeated marks serve to amplify these effects. Marks last for five turns before fading.
Prophecy of the Witnesses:
By paying paying 5% of his reiatsu, the red eyed man can exert his dominion on those marked by him. For the turn activated, he intensifies the reiatsu that seeps through the stage, amplifying the latent insanity which flows through the area. While all enemies will temporarily feel the madness induction by marks amplified, he can single out a single target in question. The following turn, they are compelled to attack a target of Ciro’s choice. The potency of the commanded attack is dependant on the effects of the mark. The longer that they have been under the mark’s influence, the more potent the forced attack. Once activated, the target’s mark is completely removed. Ciro can only activate this ability once every two turns, on a maximum of one marked target per use.
Apocolyptics:
Marked enemies continuously give an offering to the focus of their lives. While marked, Ciro continuously leeches at the sanity of all affected by The Image of the Beast. In a manner reminiscent of his old skills, he can choose to extinguish a mark on an enemy. However, he triggers a flashback to the darkest depths of their past, causing them to relive the moment in its entirety. The longer the mark has been applied, or the more marks that have been applied, the stronger the traumatic flashback. Ciro views the memory at the same moment as the enemy, though its effects are sped up for him, allowing him to read it within a fraction of a second. Enemies on the other hand are forced to relive it for the following turn, causing their mind to be clouded and greatly hampering their ability to deal or react to attacks. Ciro pays 5% of his reiatsu to activate this ability.
Overdrive - Seven Trumpets:
At this apex of power, Ciro can engulf everyone in his domain into a complete descent into a seething insanity. A manifestation of Ciro’s own personal weakness, all are forced to descend to a level similar to his. Upon activation, a powerful aura formed from the release of 10% of his reiatsu, formed of instinct, morality, and the most primal of human emotions emanates from him, engulfing all within the thirty meter diameter. Those caught in the attack descend into a powerful group psychological attack, as they are confronted with prophetic, yet horrifying visions. They are barraged with forced revivals of their deepest fears, forced to relive through memories that represent their weakest moments. All throughout, Ciro is able to watch them descend into madness, gaining the ability to craft the visions they see.
Those with active marks are most affected, as the effects are amplified on them. While the attack does no physical damage, the psychological damage can be enough to incapacitate even the strongest of fighters.
