Release Submission Thread

Beaks: Approved.

Cur: Denied. There is a new post in Kai faq about drains with better definitions for what I’m looking for in a drain. And also take a look at the vizard faq because overall the rez mechanics seem a little shaky. Take a look at it please and IM me if you’d like help tweaking it. Some helpful hints include: rage is gained not spent (semantics but important) and please separate flavor text from numbers. I really don’t care if the mass of energy looks like a dick I just want the numbers without trying to parse them out please.

Igs: Approved w/ Change Lookin over it I really don’t like it free, we’ll do a cost equal to what they sap at both levels and try to see if this works out k? Also on the mimic a eye must be present on the target to copy as well as you actually need to be able to copy the ability (ie not gaining rage if you're not a vizard etc.)

Unholy: Denied. Oh lordy bro, I give you credit I thought swiss army kais needed 2 abilities you proved that wrong. This thing suffers on two fronts. One I’m not actually 100% sure wtf this ability is doing and as such there is no way I’m approving it. Be more concise with this actual write up. Two holy shit does this also filet beef? Dude abilities need to be tweaked not only can you phase shift anything not 10% of your rei (which would be a beastly ability) you also want to cut emotions, “elements” whatever that is, and characteristics. Pick what this ability should do and resubmit.

Second movement

Name: TBD

Release phrase: Seal it all away

Manifestation: TBD

Inner World: TBD

Form: When Rei holds the sword and sheathe in his hand and says the release phrase, the dull sound of a bell emanates from the sword and it is swallowed by a myriad of colors. A second later, the sword takes the form of a 39 1/2 inch shirasaya sword and two flexible metal gloves. The sheath of the sword, unlike most sheathes, is actually like the blade and is sharp as one as well. Because Rei holds onto the sheath in battle to fight with, the metal gloves are necessary. The sheathe is about an 1mm thick with 3 square holes in the along it. The actual blade of the sword is 1/2 mm thick and isn’t used to fight with. It is a piercing red color that contrasts with the completely white and purple sheathe.

TBD: At the cost of 5% of his max reiatsu, Rei is capable of sealing away physical and non-physical things from the area around him. This means everything relating to that thing sealed can't be used inside or touching the area his power takes effect from(provided it’s weaker than the reiatsu exerted otherwise, it is just weakened). Whatever is sealed away stays sealed for 3 turns. The radius of his power is an expandable distance of up to 15 meters around him. He is limited to sealing away three groups: the natural elements, the senses, and the physical characteristics of the person/object. Also when he sealed something away, it will only have an effect on whomever he chooses be it himself, allies, or enemies. In the case of sealing away injuries of people it takes 2 turns for minor damage, 4 turns for moderate damage and 8 turns for major damage. This effect can stack up to three times.

Using my other purchased Resubmission:

:: Initial Awakening - Ficciones::
Form:

Ciro’s Initial Awakening form is much more mundane that most Advents. For all intents and purposes, there is no change in his appearance. The only change in the constant seeping of his crimson reiatsu into the area around him. Occasionally, a small spark of reiatsu will occur around him, before fading.

Artificiosus:

By maintaining eye contact with a target for at least ten seconds, Ciro may spend 2% reiatsu to seep into the mind of that target. This draws a single memory relevant to the target's current state of mind, allowing Ciro to flip through that memory like a storybook and simultaneously forcing the target to relive that memory as an outsider looking in, feeling everything that was felt back then, knowing everything that would happen, but unable to change any part of the memory. Ciro has the option to speak to the target as they watch.

Regardless of the memory's duration, in reality the effects occur within seconds.

Thesis:

By paying 4% of his reiatsu, Ciro is able to materialize an object from the memory he has read. The size of the object is limited. At most, it can occupy cube of dimensions 6 meters in length, width and height. The objects he materialize retain all mechanical properties. If her chooses to materialize a weapon, it will have none of the special abilities the original had. If he chooses to materialize a projectile weapon, each shot fired by the weapon carries 50% of its durability (the amount initially paid in) in each shot.

Resonance Attack - Vivus:

A higher echelon of strength is granted to Ciro as he reaches a higher resonance. By paying 2% of his reiatsu per tun, Ciro can amplify the latent reiatsu in the area around him. The effect is twofold. While active, his reiatsu appears to be continuously be climbing in perceived pressure. In the same vein, activation of Artificiosus is amplified, allowing Ciro greater flexibility in type of memory he can read from, allowing him to instead search by emotion or time rather than simply what is currently in their thoughts.

:: True Awakening - The Library of Babel ::

Form:

Upon releasing the full force of his power, the puppeteer becomes the master of the show. Crowds gather to see the opening of the newest play. Come one. Come all.

Activating his True Awakening, Ciro’s personality fully manifests itself, causing a drastic transformation to the area around him. A surge of crimson reiatsu pools out, covering the entirety of a thirty meter radius around him. The reiatsu solidifies into a stark-red curtain, elegantly draping down. From the peak of the curtain, dozens of reiatsu threads descend down and connect to the limbs of both Ciro’s allies and enemies.

The ground solidifies into wood paneling in the affected area, covering a semi-circle. It raises slightly into the air create a stage platform. On the other side platform, dozens of faceless puppets, remnants of his old awakening are created. They shriek and move chaotically, as the audience to the puppet show. For the duration of his True Awakening, Ciro’s eyes shine a bright crimson. His fingertips are a similar color, as they pull at the variety of strings.

An uneasy feeling overcomes his opponents as they reside in the zone. The feeling of being watched, of their minds being nothing more than a whim to Ciro overtakes them, strengthening the feeling of being under control as the battle continues.

Infinitas:

The line between God and mortal is drawn in the ranks of the puppet theater. The puppetmaster is transitions the pinnacle of power, his actors pulled along to the script. Every turn his opponents remain in the realm of The Library of Babel they are pulled to Ciro’s will. Their minds are opened to Ciro allowing him to dig through their consciousnesses. Each turn he can choose to single out one the memories of his opponents, delving into their memories and searching for the one representing a moment of personal crisis and unyielding stress. A moment before a death. A moment before a catastrophe. All are available for him to search through. Each memory is internalized and read in a fragment of a second for Ciro, as his mind is pushed to its max potential.

Once located, Ciro can draw out memory. A shell materializes next to him, one per person affected, a perfectly identical copy of the target at the moment of the memory. The state of the memory is perfectly preserved, causing them to appear in whatever state they may be in. If they are drawn out in the middle of a release, they retain the form of their release, but none of the abilities. When dormant, the memories are in gray-scale and intangible. They remain frozen in place until he calls upon them.

Ciro does not need to pay for the creation of shells, instead he pays for the continuous upkeep of the shells and memory exploration. One shell is created per turn each opponent he selects to read memories from. The representations of a past self remain in play as long as Ciro continuously pays the cost or if they are destroyed in the process of using his other abilities. Ciro must pay 3% of his reiatsu per turn active.

Natrua Rerum:

Each shell gains two pathways to growth. The aspect of the body forces the opponent to relieve the pain and suffering through the most direct way possible. The actor is activated, color returned to the construct. Sent to Ciro’s bidding, the faithful pet follows any command. There is something un-human about them. Even though they appear human, they feel no pain, allowing Ciro to control them in a manner impossible for a normal man.

By paying 3% of his reiatsu, Ciro can bring to life one of his constructed shells. It takes a small period of time for the shells to gain life. The shell functions similar to a clone, taking on a combat stat equal to half of his combat. It moves at a speed relative to other clone skills. If it had any weapon upon creation, it retains that weapon. Ciro gains full control, allowing him to channel his own thoughts into the shell, causing it to speak what he wishes it to. They function both as physical constructs and phantasms. That is to say they capable of interacting directly with the world, but may also phase through mundane barriers as spectral ghosts of the past. The shells manifest for 3 turns or until they are destroyed. If the three turns pass without them being destroyed, they return to the deactivated state. Ciro cannot target these with Sociopathy. He can only activate up to two shells per turn.

Cogitatio:

Each shell gains two pathways to growth. The aspect of the mind forces the opponent to tap into a level of subconscious, often locked away in their mind. By paying 3% of his reiatsu, not only life but intelligence can be breathed into the shell. A fragmented personality, created from the state of the read memory is constructed. They once again function similarly to clones, having a speed relative to other clones. Weapons the shell possessed remain with the living copy. However, when striking an opponent, no physical wounds are dealt. Instead the target is forced to relive the memory that the shell was created from, overwhelming their psyche. For the following turn, the target's mind is continuously barraged with the memory, greatly decreasing their ability to easily react to and complete attacks.

This onslaught of memories affects their current state of mind, causing it to harken back to their state of mind at that point in time. Repeated attacks can completely damage their personality, only amplifying the longer they remain in the effects of his True Awakening. Upon imparting its memory, the shell disappears. Ciro cannot target these with Sociopathy.

Overdrive - Verisimilitudo:

At this apex of spiritual power, Ciro transcends to the level of a true god. Opponent’s memories become nothing more than playthings for him. Upon activation, the curtain falls, as the entirety of his spiritual world shatters. The stage begins to fall, as the final curtain call is activated. He breathes life into up to ten clones created around him, granting them all the ability Cogitatio. He can control them with perfect accuracy, allowing him to attack targets of his choice for that turn. Upon striking a target, they are given an intense flashback to the memory the shell carried, even if it may not even be their own. The attacks do no physical damage, but in Overdrive the effects are much more potent than in the basic ability. This ability lasts for a single turn; however, the psychological effect strongly reduces their ability to respond or coordinate attacks as the effects linger.

:: BANKAI ::
八幡神
- Hachiman-jin - God of Eight Banners

Upon unleashing Gunshin’s true form and power, eight fifteen foot tall staves each with accompanying flags are materialized mid-air and shoot into the ground in a semicircular pattern behind Gorou. Each stave stands roughly ten feet tall and flies a massive flag. On each of the white flags the kanji for a single virtue of Bushido is written (義 - Rectitude, 勇 - Courage, 仁 - Benevolence, 礼 - Respect, 誠 - Honesty, 名誉 - Honor, 忠義 - Loyalty, 智 - Wisdom).

The weapons provided by Hachiman-Jin take the form of twin double-edged katanas. Both weapons are punctuated by a white tsuka and kanji etched into the blades right near the hilt. On one side of either blade is the kanji for Rage (怒り) , and on the other the kanji for Balance (衡).

天来 武装 - Tenrai Busou - Divine Armament

Immediately following the manifestation of the dual katanas, a full set of armor modeled after that of the samurai and shoguns of Gorou’s past is summoned to his body. This armor will remain fused to him and cannot be removed unless he seals Bankai, or it’s forcefully and purposely torn off.

For 7% of Gorou’s reiatsu per round, the armor will act as a constant barrier and protect him from attacks worth the total amount that has been paid into it. In addition, for each successful strike Gorou makes against a target, the armor will passively generate 1% of his reiatsu. The barrier effect will last until its stored reiatsu has been depleted.

戦いの栄光 - Tatakai No Eikou - The Glory of Battle

So long as Hachiman-jin is unleashed, the eight banners will glow and project the painted-on kanji with a red-orange tint. For 4% of his reiatsu per round all those that the armored samurai calls allies, including Gorou himself will find a boost to their fighting spirit and find strength in the eight projected virtues. While this ability is in effect any and all attacks made within range (25m) will have their damage category increased by one (minor to moderate, moderate to major, etc.).

突撃 - Totsugeki - Onslaught

When two blades aren’t enough, Hachiman-jin will provide more. Gorou can cause any weapon he wields to leave a translucent afterimage with each successful strike for 500 reiatsu per afterimage. An additional afterimage can be created for every 5,000 Zanjutsu Gorou has, capping out at three afterimages. These afterimages will move and strike the same place their solid counterparts struck and cut with the same speed and strength as well, thus causing the replicas to strike just moments after the genuine articles have.

剣の型 - Hachiken no Kata - Eight Sword Style

The banners on the field are not merely there for ambience and their symbolism. At any time, Gorou can disperse the two katanas (and subsequently bring them back) in order to summon up to two of the banners to his side. For 1000 reiatsu Gorou can convert the banners into fifteen-foot-tall, double-edged zanbatou which he can wield as effortlessly as regular zanpakutou. While this ability is active, no matter how many banners it’s active on, the eight kanji will remain projected in the air allowing Tatakai no Eikou to remain active.

Arun: IA + TA + OD Approved

No, it's not.

Resubmit Natrua Rerum. I'm pretty sure you know why, and I know that Shade knows why.

If I have to GM review this, you won't like it.

Except this is from an already approved ability on another kai.... as well as being of limited durability. Really don't see why this should be denied.

Ability: Advanced Tutorial: Closing the Options Menu

In Bankai, everything really does make more sense when you look at it through grid-lines. Her skill over summoning has manifested itself to the pinnacle point. This allows her to not only to summon more long lasting summons, but more than one at a time.

Every turn, Lucia can expend 3% of her reiatsu to summon up to two manifestations per turn. The physical appearance of the manifestation can change, but they must be humanoid in shape. The clone can either focus in combat or kidou. If a clone focuses on kidou, they are equipped with one kidou spell Lucia has equipped. When summoning this type of clone, Lucia must pay the cost of the kidou spell she selects along with the summoning cost.

The clone can activate the kidou, while at the same time sacrificing it self in the process if it is an instantaneous spell. If the kidou is channeled over a set number of rounds, the manifestation remains; however, it can no longer preform any actions, other than “Tutorial: Changing Game Disks”.

:: Initial Awakening - Gospel of John ::
Form:

Ciro’s Initial Awakening form is much more mundane that most Advents. For all intents and purposes, there is no change in his appearance. The only change in the constant seeping of his crimson reiatsu into the area around him, creating a continuous red haze in the area. Occasionally, a small spark of reiatsu will occur around him, before fading.

Crown of Thorns:

By maintaining eye contact with a target for at least ten seconds, Ciro may spend 2% reiatsu to seep into the mind of that target. This draws a single memory relevant to the target's current state of mind, allowing Ciro to flip through that memory like a storybook and simultaneously forcing the target to relive that memory as an outsider looking in, feeling everything that was felt back then, knowing everything that would happen, but unable to change any part of the memory. Ciro has the option to speak to the target as they watch.

Regardless of the memory's duration, in reality the effects occur within seconds.

Denial of Peter:

While active, Ciro emanates a continuous aura of power, dwarfing those around him. Enemies see it as a poison, decaying their ability to reason logically while they stay in a 15 meter radius around him. As time progresses their movements become erratic, almost more animalistic, primal. Blind emotions take over their thoughts rather than a carefully planned strategies. Ciro pays 3% of his reiatsu per turn to create this aura.

Resonance Attack - Logos:

A higher echelon of strength is granted to Ciro as he reaches a higher resonance. By paying 2% of his reiatsu per tun, Ciro can amplify the latent reiatsu in the area around him. The effect is twofold. While active, his reiatsu appears to be continuously be climbing in perceived pressure. In the same vein, activation of Crown of Thorns is amplified, allowing Ciro greater flexibility in type of memory he can read from, allowing him to instead search by emotion or time rather than simply what is currently in their thoughts.

:: True Awakening - Revelation of John ::
Form:

Throughout his life, the dormant insanity of a man stricken through tragedy was something Ciro Martelli attempted to keep in check. He lived in a life where he deferred his own weakness towards others. He played them like pawns, watching them sacrifice their lives in a need to serve.

However, after being played by Raifuku, his personality was permanently changed. Fragmented and refocused, it created an obsession. Whether it was an overcompensation by his mind to deal with the fact that he was losing control, this change in psyche destroyed his previous powers. No longer could he command the world. Instead deep down he knew that it commanded him.

Upon activating his True Awakening, he taps into his own primal fears, harnessing them, falling deep into the madness he kept stored. His personality changes, one of pure carnal instinct. An instinct to bring others under his unrelenting dominion, to take the place as a god. However, while his goal is to descend to divinity, the actual outcome is one harkening to a demonic force.

Crimson reiatsu wraps around his body, hugging tightly to his body. It emanates backwards, as if it was being continually buffeted by a powerful wind. The energy wraps around his head, masking his mouth and forehead, leaving only his eyes visible. The reiatsu solidifies around his wrists, creating Rings of Solomon. A chain is created from one of the points, draping down to the side of him. At the end of each chain is a smaller version of the symbol, the points sharp and able to cut through even the most durable of objects. They stretch to a distance of 3 meters at max length, but can be retracted forcibly by Ciro to a more appropriate length. On touch they feel superheated with reiatsu, causing them to brand the skin.

A corrupt version of his earlier awakenings, instead of multiple reiatsu threads running through the stage, similar chains run through the entirety of the battlefield. Wrapping around one another to create thing bundles of metal, they dig through all nearby structures and objects, pulsating with a malevolent energy. Ciro cannot control these as he can with the ones around his wrist.

The chains extend around his body as well, crossing over him as if he is continuously being bound by his own psyche. As his resonance increases, the chains break as he returns to his own latent psyche.

Image of the Beast:

The Ikikami’s will the dominant. A man branded by a God remains faithful to the lord. By striking an enemy, either directly or through one of his chains, by paying 3% of his reiatsu, Ciro can brand them with an Image of the Beast, taking the form of a Ring of Solomon. Once branded, the effects are instantaneous. No matter the actual differences in spiritual power, Ciro appears to be stronger, his pressure always being perceived to be something unobtainable and lingering high above.

While marked, a seeping madness infuses into their minds, distorting it and warping it to match Ciro’s own. A fear of their god is struck into them, greatly decreasing their urges to attack Ciro. Furthermore, their emotions and thoughts become erratic through fear, decaying their logical reasoning and hampering their abilities to react and perform attacks while the mark infects them. Repeated marks serve to amplify these effects. Marks last for five turns before fading.

Prophecy of the Witnesses:

By paying paying 5% of his reiatsu, the red eyed man can exert his dominion on those marked by him. For the turn activated, he intensifies the reiatsu that seeps through the stage, amplifying the latent insanity which flows through the area. While all enemies will temporarily feel the madness induction by marks amplified, he can single out a single target in question. The following turn, they are compelled to attack a target of Ciro’s choice. The potency of the commanded attack is dependant on the effects of the mark. The longer that they have been under the mark’s influence, the more potent the forced attack. Once activated, the target’s mark is completely removed. Ciro can only activate this ability once every two turns, on a maximum of one marked target per use.

Apocolyptics:

Marked enemies continuously give an offering to the focus of their lives. While marked, Ciro continuously leeches at the sanity of all affected by The Image of the Beast. In a manner reminiscent of his old skills, he can choose to extinguish a mark on an enemy. However, he triggers a flashback to the darkest depths of their past, causing them to relive the moment in its entirety. The longer the mark has been applied, or the more marks that have been applied, the stronger the traumatic flashback. Ciro views the memory at the same moment as the enemy, though its effects are sped up for him, allowing him to read it within a fraction of a second. Enemies on the other hand are forced to relive it for the following turn, causing their mind to be clouded and greatly hampering their ability to deal or react to attacks. Ciro pays 5% of his reiatsu to activate this ability.

Overdrive - Seven Trumpets:

At this apex of power, Ciro can engulf everyone in his domain into a complete descent into a seething insanity. A manifestation of Ciro’s own personal weakness, all are forced to descend to a level similar to his. Upon activation, a powerful aura formed from the release of 10% of his reiatsu, formed of instinct, morality, and the most primal of human emotions emanates from him, engulfing all within the thirty meter diameter. Those caught in the attack descend into a powerful group psychological attack, as they are confronted with prophetic, yet horrifying visions. They are barraged with forced revivals of their deepest fears, forced to relive through memories that represent their weakest moments. All throughout, Ciro is able to watch them descend into madness, gaining the ability to craft the visions they see.

Those with active marks are most affected, as the effects are amplified on them. While the attack does no physical damage, the psychological damage can be enough to incapacitate even the strongest of fighters.

The Iron Hand - Initial Awakening

Form: Ewan’s arms become covered in an organic metal, cold to the touch and obviously much more solid than his own skin. In addition his irises take on a silvery appearance.

Armed and Ready (0% Resonance): Expending 1% Reiatsu, Ewan can change the shape of his metallic arms, taking on other forms. Once a form is taken, he must return his arms to their regular shape before he can change them to another shape. The cost applies to changing the arms into another form AND back again.

Mould Breaker (0% Resonance): Ewan’s IA also allows him to alter the form of other metal objects at a cost of 2% Reiatsu provided he is touching the target object. The shape can be changed but the size cannot exceed how much material there was in the original object.

Magnokinesis (0% Resonance): The telekinetic control Ewan can exert in this form is minimal, only usable on stationary objects up to 5m from his person. He cannot control something further away than that but objects ‘thrown’ from within the 5m radius will still follow their aimed route. This costs 2% of his Reiatsu per object to activate.

Might need a little tweaking but I'll stick with this for now

Well here we go..for miss Alexia Felone da Firenze

Shikai Release

Name: Kōri no jotei - Ice Empress
Release Phrase: Hone no zui made hie (Chill to the bone)

Manifestation: Kōri manifests as a dark-skinned woman about six feet tall, and appears to be around her late twenties. In a complete contrast to her skin, her long hair is white, lined with ice-blue streaks. She is clad in white and blue armor reminiscent of a paladin, a large halberd slung across her back.

Form: Alexia’s blade transforms into a large, dual staff that measures nine feet in length. The grip connecting the two ends is colored the same as her zanpakuto sheath (White). Rather than basic blades, Kōri’s ends are two large chunks of ice, crafted in a diamond-shaped form. Though the release state is large, it is also oddly lightweight, allowing much more freedom of movement than what would be considered possible.

Abilities:

1) Sutōmu sesshi (Celsius Storm): By paying 10% of her reiatsu Alexia can launch a torrent of ice shards from either end of her weapon towards an opponent, spreading outwards like a cone. This can be done whether or not she is holding her weapon. Upon hit or deflection the weapon will return back to her at the start of the following turn, should it not be in her hands. Alexia can also choose to rotate the staff as it fires, creating a small, blizzard-like attack. Should she fire at something not living (a tree, wall, water, etc), it will quickly began to freeze over quickly. The freezing can also affect the air itself, creating paths of ice that she can use for further maneuverability.

Tom: Approved w/ buffs Magno can be buffed to 15m.

Vince: Denied Holy unconnected abilities batman. I take partial fault in this for tellin you sk ability slots decrease in power as you fill them. That however does not give you carte blanche to create one ability that slices dices and makes fondue. I'm ok with certain abilities being tag-alongs if what they do isn't stupidly powerful. The example I gave was to fire the blade of your weapon and bring it back for free. This does at least 4 different things none of which make sense in the context of a single ability slot.

Resubmitting my kai for some modifications.

Ability: "Growing Terror” Being the Harbringer of Fear, Shoul is capable of instilling fear into the most stalwart and stout people around.Weakening their resolve and desire to fight as the onslaught continues. Each and every attack used by Lucas is capable of creating fear within his target. While the fear is pretty basic in terms of intensity at the start, it can quickly grow to a crippling fear causing the attacks and defense of those afflicted to become weakened and broken.

Every time an attack lands on an opponent Lucas can pay 2% reiatsu to cause the target to afflicted with one level of fear. These levels can grow up to a maximum of five, while having a single stack of fear a person might find themselves feeling a bit uneasy and nervous at what is to come. Each subsequent stack intensifies the fear causing a person to begin to tremble and shake and become a bit more hesitant to take action. Upon reaching its fifth stack, a person begins to suffer from full blown terror.

While fear is effected by the force of will of the afflicted, it is possible to overcome their fears. By paying 4% of Lucas’ reiatsu, an afflicted person is able to reduce the number of stacks upon them by one, no more than two stacks per turn can be overcome in this fashion. After two turns since the last application of fear, the stacks will begin to naturally decay by one stack per turn.

Attack: "Army of the Damned” The ghouls which roam the shadowed world in which Shoul resides are terrifying creatures who are always at his beck and call. By paying 5% reiatsu Lucas is able to cause an afflicted opponent to perceive him as one of the hideous monsters. As a side effect, for each stack of fear on the target at the moment this attack takes effect, an additional ghoul image is summoned nearby. Additionally, once the ghouls are summoned Lucas can immediately switch places with one of the ghouls to shuffle his position causing more confusion, he can only do this once and it must be done when the ghouls are summoned. These ghouls act, sound and move just as Lucas can, but however they are not real. Any attempt to perceive which ghoul is the real Lucas is rendered useless, and any attack hitting a ghoul image causes it to dissipate harmlessly.

Attack: "Paralyzing Fear” The control Shoul has over fear is so great, that he is able to cause the strength to intensify rapidly shutting down a persons will to speak. Upon paying 5% reiatsu and landing an attack, Lucas is able to utilize that control over fear and immobilize a person’s vocal chords. For one round that person is unable to form any words, making any action that requires verbal components impossible. This effect is increased by one round for every two levels of fear upon the afflicted after the first level. The ability to immobilize the vocal chords takes a great amount of effort and as such, this can only be used on an opponent once every four rounds.

Attack: "Blackened Vision” Instead of creating shadows for which to attack foes from like someone might think he would do, Shoul has learned a new way to bring about the darkness and has given this new skill to Lucas. Upon landing an attack and paying 7% reiatsu, an afflicted opponent finds that their vision is reduced drastically leaving them with a 15ft radius centered on them of clear vision, everything beyond that is pure darkness, and no amount of light can penetrate it. As a secondary effect, the radius of which a person can see is reduced further by 2ft for every level of fear they’re afflicted with. This effect will last for 2 turns.

Ability: "Growing Terror” Being the Harbinger of Fear, Shoul is capable of instilling fear into the most stalwart and stout people around.Weakening their resolve and desire to fight as the onslaught continues.

These levels can grow up to a maximum of three, while having a single stack of fear a person might find themselves feeling a bit uneasy and nervous at what is to come. Each subsequent stack intensifies the fear causing a person to begin to tremble and shake and become a bit more hesitant to take action. Upon reaching its third stack, a person begins to suffer from full blown terror.

While fear is affected by the force of will of the afflicted, it is possible to overcome their fears. By paying 2% of Lucas’ reiatsu, an afflicted person is able to reduce the number of stacks upon them by one, no more than one stack per turn can be overcome in this fashion. After two turns since the last application of fear, the stacks will begin to naturally decay by one stack per turn.
Attack: Master of Fear

The spark of fear is indefinable, something shared within every being, regardless of the forms it takes. Fear can be manifested from anything; from insects, to dogs; from crowds to sunlight; from darkness to colors; from the darkest corners of reality and the most twisted corridors of the imagination. The true power of Shoul lies in the ignition of that spark of fear, inciting fear beyond the comprehension of the victim.

On a successful attack, Lucas may spend 5% of his reiatsu to kindle the fears of his victim once per round. This fear persists for two additional rounds after being struck. Lucas can add fuel to the flames, kindling the flames again on other successive hits, both heightening the fear and renewing the duration.

Master of Fear starts at a foreboding fright, progresses to trembling terror, and finally to paralyzing phobia. While in the grip of phobia, the victim is unable to draw the courage to attack, limiting them to defense or retreat.

As a kidou-like effect, Master of Fear can be impacted by Fuubi or other bakudou-removal abilities, although only one tier may be reduced per round.

Name: Teion Ryoshi (Bass Hunter)

Release Phrase: Shindo suru

Spirit: Teion Ryoshi takes the form of a large crimson sloth around four feet tall. He is always seen lounging about with a pair of thick headphones identical to Satoru’s aside from their golden hue. Due to the standard blue coloring of Satoru's inner world, he's not very difficult to spot. The spirit has a series of intricate lines inscribed among his back similar to those found in Satoru’s inner world. When speaking, he has a voice so low that it ripples through the very core of his surroundings. Teion Ryoshi has a habit of answering questions in a highly logical manner, much to the irritation of his owner.

World: Satoru’s inner world appears to be entirely computer generated. It is much like a crowded city in its design, what with the giant skyscrapers and closely-packed structures, every surface is black with lines of a light blue hue that provide the light of the world. The world has no sun; instead, it is lit entirely by the structures themselves. Because of this, the sky is always black.

Form: When released, Satoru’s blade morphs into a black staff with the glossy sheen of obsidian and intricate blue lines running across its form. The most obvious difference between Teion Ryoshi and typical staves would be the two tuning forks on each end of the staff. While released, a quiet thrumming fills the air similar to that ambient hum of a powerful machine.

Ability: Shingoto (Signal Tower)
Due to Teion Ryoshi's unique manipulation of sound and frequency, it has the ability to receive and transmit certain frequencies... including those associated with the gamma waves produced by the brain. By paying 1% of his reiatsu per turn, Satoru can synchronize with a living creature's brain waves in order to open a channel of communication with them. When used on a humanoid creature, Satoru can transmit messages to them without the need for words. In animals, he can exert some control over their actions due their primitive mental structure. This ability's range is 20 meters. He can establish a connection with a maximum of two beings with another connection gained per 5000 reiatsu for a maximum of 5 connections.

Ability: Kyoshin Choritsu (Resonant Tempo)
When this ability is activated, Satoru’s body will begin to vibrate rapidly. If he so chooses, some of the force behind each strike he makes is converted into a sonic charges equal to 10% of his Hakuda. These charges boost the strength of his attacks and push his opponents back one meter for every charge he possesses. The opponent will be shaken due to the intense vibrations in a manner similar to a tuning fork. Activation and maintenance of this power costs 1% of his reiatsu per turn.

Attack: Teion no Taiho (The Bass Cannon)
For 15% of his reiatsu, Satoru releases a concussive cone of sound waves around 15 meters in length and 1.5 meters wide from one of the tuning forks on his weapon. Anyone caught in this devastating sonic wave is thrown backwards and becomes highly disoriented by the burst of sound. Affected opponents find concentration difficult due to the distinct sound patterns utilized by Teion no Taiho. Any subsequent techniques utilized by the opponent will have their effectiveness reduced by the amount utilized by Teion no Taiho and any technique that costs less than it becomes completely negated. This is treated as a pool equal to the amount of rei used by Teion no Taiho from which abilities are drained and has no bearing on the rank of techniques like Kidou.
