Name: UNIFIED STATE: VERSION SEVEN
Form:
Entering this state requires Lucia to completely synchronize with her inner-hollow. For most vizards, they
prefer to separate themselves from the overwhelming effects of their hollow selves. Oddly enough for Lucia, she somewhat embraces the chaotic influences of her hollow, seeing it more as an ‘upgrade’ instead of a threat.


When activating the ability, her reiatsu flows out of her, creating dozens of rings of binary around her. As the normally blue reiatsu turns dark red, she is engulfed in a burst of light. As the spark fades, a new monstrous form is appeared.

On her face appears to be a construct similar to her vizard mask. The thick visor appears to be more advanced, as multiple numbers and symbols can be seen to faintly reflect on it. Replacing her normal outfit is what appears to be a white form fitting suit. Covering parts of the suit are multiple flat panels made out of the same material as her hollow mask, giving her a mechanical look. Floating behind her back, a large metallic circle floats behind her. The construct splits into two halves as additional, pronged , half-circle constructs float freely.

As her release is active, a deep, electrical buzz emanates through the area. The constructs around her emanate a dark-blue reiatsu, projecting a slight anti-gravity field directly around herself. This causes her to permanently to levitate a few feet off the ground.

Ability: OPERATOR: FRAGMENT:

Even in this entropic mess of a release, parts of her old Bankai still somehow manage to stay alive. By increasing her rage by 20%, she can clone her now monstrous form into an exact duplicate. While her old Bankai allowed her to give her clones the ability to use kidou, the unstable nature of her new release is too volatile to use kidou. Instead, while in this form, the clone can use cero, with the rage being added directly to Lucia’s total rage.

Furthermore, clones created through this ability have 50% of Lucia’s combat as their own combat stat and a speed relative to most other clones. The amount of damage they can handle is based off their reiatsu level and the reiatsu equal to amount of rage she paid in. There is a slight charge period when she creates the clone, leaving her defenseless for that time. She can create up to two clones at a time.

Ability: OPERATOR: ENTROPY:

Lucia’s fighting style surprisingly meshes well with her inner hollow. Perhaps this is due to the fact that her abilities have always meshed the line between chaotic and deceptive and full out-offense. When fusing with her inner-hollow, she expands this influence into every being that comes near her. By paying 2% of her reiatsu and increasing her rage by 2% per each turn she has this ability active, Lucia creates an ‘Debug Zone’ in the 30 meter area around her.

While in the zone, the continuous chaotic energies from Lucia bleed into her opponent. The air becomes heavy, almost suffocating to stand within. She barrages the minds of her targets causing them to have to fight urge to act spontaneously and chaotically. The inanimate objects in the area are altered while the zone is active. Buildings in the area may break apart and appear to be floating haphazardly in mid-air. The color palette of the zone is altered, causing green objects to suddenly glow red.

However, the true secret of the domain is how it affects how Lucia and her clones act. Any motion Lucia or the clones make leaves a trail of three afterimages behind them. The after-images persist for the following turn before disappearing. The after-images cannot directly harm the target but can easily overwhelm enemy targets.

Lucia can selectively include and exclude allies affected by this ability at will. When the ability is deactivated the area returned to it’s original state.

Attack: OPERATOR: MANIA:

Normal abilities while in the Debug Zone are amplified and warped due to the virulent effects of her inner-hollow. By increasing her rage by 20% she can cause the reishi in a clone she can constructed to vibrate wildly. The clone then detonates, similar to a hollow, releasing the reiatsu the clone has and the amount of reiatsu equivalent to the rage she paid in. The true secret of the skill is how Lucia controls the blast. Instead of simply radiating from the clone, the energy is dispersed throughout the area. Multiple smaller explosions, similar to cero, occur around a 5 meter circular areas around each of the targets in the zone, dividing the total energy among the number of opponents.

She can selectively choose which targets the explosions affect. As with the normal effects of the Debug Zone, three afterimages of the explosion are left after the detonations occur.

Zanpakutou Name: Shounishio - "Blood Child”

Release Phrase: Drain, Shounishio!


Form: When Shounishio is released, the blade becomes as black as the leather on the hilt with a network of red veins and arteries covering it; the length of the blade extends to around fifty inches and the hilt becomes around sixteen inches. The veins on the blade pulsate as if living blood flows through them.

Inner World: Shounishio’s realm expands is a plane of blood. The ground is basically a placid sea of blood that stretches in all directions as far as the eye can see. The sky and is pitch black filled with blood red clouds that burst with bloody rain. Beneath Daisuke’s feet is a glowing black glyph that remains beneath him regardless to how far he travel into the desolate blood plain.

Shikai Abilities

Ability: Chishirei – "Blood Plague”

In it’s released state, Shounishio is the embodiment of pestilence and disease; a black blade that exsanguinates and feasts upon its opponent’s blood. The ebon color of it’s blade is not just for show; every spirit particle that comprises the makeup of Shounishio is laced with a cocktail of virulent blood borne pathogens that thin the blood, accelerating blood loss from wounds. The cumulative effects are that cuts caused by the blade bleed far worse than normal and cause nausea and light headedness.

Parameters:

-- Costs 5% of Daisuke's reiatsu to cause side effects/infect a wound
-- An infected wound caused by the blade of Shounishio damages the opponent's reiatsu in the amount of to 2% of Daisuke’s total reiatsu per round.
-- Causes light-headedness and nausea.
-- Duration 3 rounds or until the wound is healed

Ability: Aka no Yoen– "Blood of Burning Embers”

At Daisuke’s command, the infection caused by previous wounds takes a turn for the worse. Aka no Yoen infects wounds already caused by Shounishio, making the opponent’s blood acidic and destroying the flesh around wounds.

Parameters:

-- Once per turn, if the last wound Daisuke dealt was minor, he may pay 5% reiatsu to increase the severity to moderate.

Resubbing Primary Waffe to make sure I got what Van was saying and adding in a parallel ability for Manifestiert Waffe

[Nachbrenner] Afterburner

Riding the line between Devastation and Accuracy, Kristofer has learned to merge the two worlds, at least temporarily. At the cost of 200 Reiatsu the red-head is able to activate a short afterburner on his arrow increasing its speed by 30% of Kris' Chakudan stat for up to 20m. This increase is only for the actual speed of the projectile, actual damage is unchanged.

[Sauger] Vacuum
Finding that his arrows create wakes behind them, Kris has developed a method to utilize this to aid other attacks. Paying 200 Reiatsu the archer uses the extra energy to pick up other projectiles around or in its trajectory adding 30% of Kris’ Kyuuzu to their speed for the duration of their flight. This increase is only for speed not damage and can only effect one arrow per turn.
 
Like Van said, I removed the exclusion on ENTROPY. I reworked MANIA completely to avoid any possible abuse cases. I also slightly adjusted Fragment, by lowering the cost and making it cero or bala. That way using my ability once doesn't instantly bring me up to 60% rage lol. Also, I changed the form slightly. Other than the edits to Mania, the changes have been bolded.

In her hands is an enormous bone naginata. The long weapon is crafted cleanly in white bone, with rings of binary numbers rotating around the staff. The blade is cleanly made is made out of a pure white substance, sharpened to a razor point. Created from a substance similar to her hollow mask, it has been refined by her reiatsu to the point where it can easily go up against other spiritual weapons without shattering.

As her release is active, a deep, electrical buzz emanates through the area. The constructs around her emanate a dark-blue reiatsu, projecting a slight anti-gravity field directly around herself. This causes her to permanently to levitate a few feet off the ground.​

Three souls now inhabit one body. In Lucia’s final release, she manages to resonate the reiatsu from all three souls simultaneously, to create a destructive release. As such, when she activates this form, any semblance of her previous personality is wiped out. Instead, she speaks mechanically, with instinct overpowering her rational thought.

Lucia is completely incapable of restraining the energies emanating from her release, therefore even allies are effected by the chaotic influences of the Debug Zone.


OPERATOR: MANIA:
While her original fighting style was mainly deceptive, preferring to use Lucia’s creativity to overcome her foes, when melding with her inner-hollow, the destructive instincts take over. By increasing her rage by 10% she can cause the reishi in a clone she can constructed to vibrate wildly. By continuously amplifying up the frequency of the vibrations, she causes them to skyrocket to astounding levels. After reaching the critical point, the clone detonates, causing an enormous blast which centers from the clone’s location.

However, the blast is only part of the full damage of the attack. At the moment of detonation, a shock-wave is released from the clone, releasing a wave of chaotic energy in all directions from the clone. Upon striking an enemy, assuming they survive the explosion, they are overwhelmed with the chaotic energies of the blast, shutting down their rational thought for the following turn. Instead rational thought is replaced by resounding feelings of fear, shock, stress and anger.

This amplifies the degenerative powers of the Debug Zone and forces the target, no matter how trained or controlled they are, to act solely on their primal emotions. This greatly increases their weakness to the mind altering effects of the debug zone, and cause them to see twice as many after-images the following turn.

The size of the blast and destruction potential is dependant on the amount of effective reiatsu left in the clone along with the amount of rage she paid in. At it’s maximum level, the range of the blast is 15 meters, with the shock-wave extending 20 meters from the clone. The shock-wave does not harm the target physically, other than a knock-back.​

After much deliberation I decided to totally resub my entire Kais to what was intended to be his 'true' one anyway. Just have to rearrange some story junk.
After moderate discussion with shad I think it's ready!
(Hope you don't mind me sticking things in spoilers, just wanted to try and make it more manageable.)

Sealed/Manifestations
Sealed:

Zak's blade looks much as it always did though it has gained a significant curve to the blade creating a crescent shape for the weapon. The blade itself is brightly polished and the once very light swirls are now deeply etched and readily apparent on the length of the blade creating an abstract image of a wolf prowling. The hilt remains wrapped in soft crimson leather though it is now capped with an obsidian head. The slender chain remains dangling though it now ends with a wolf’s head of obsidian rock. The most noticeable change to the blade is a small circular hole near the base of the blade about the size of a silver dollar and the weapon has lost its guard. The scabbard is become crimson red with obsidian filigree reprinting wolves devouring the world much in the vein of old ideas of Fenrir from Norse mythology.

Reiatsu: Now pure, Zak's rei burns a brilliant silver.

Spirit/ Manifestation: His new spirit is a great wolf naming itself Kalu’aita. It is a great silver hound so large that it’s muzzle is level with Zak’s. While it’s voice is somewhat androgynous but the beast seems more female. The wolf’s coat glows subtly with power and definite heat radiates from her. When she speaks her voice is accentuated by growls as if her natural wolf speech is being overlaid with language Zak can understand.

Inner World: Zak’s inner world is still the great tower in the endless desert but after climbing the tower to rediscover his lost memories and the purpose of his creation, he has reached the heart of the massive structure. This room’s walls are exploded outward into great chunks that hover in the air while the upper levels of the tower hover above, currently unreachable. The ‘heart‘ that Zak and Kalu’aita inhabit is a great stone floor of seven concentric circles expanding out from a silver flame in the center. Lava of a sort spills from the flame and runs along the groves of the circles. Around the room, near the missing walls, are four obsidian obelisks. The flames burn within these but more dully, waiting to be fully awakened.


Shikai


Shikai: furor exuro (Burning Rage)



Release Command: "Kalu’aita free my soul, channel my rage, and cast it as fire fire upon this battlefield.”

Appearance: Kalu’aita lengthens its blade to nearly four and a half feet and the hilt becomes just under two feet in length. The blade thickens slightly but remains slender, not thicker than a man’s forearm. The point of the weapon becomes more pronounced and defined. The brilliant shine of the sealed blade becomes replaced by the look of iron though the etching on the body remains bright and stands out powerfully flashing sometimes with silver energy. There is now a second wolf visible and neither are prowling, but caught in pursuit of something yet unseen. The weapon remains without a guard and the hilt is still wrapped in the same leather though the wolf’s head ornament is now dangling from the point at which blade and hilt meet. While the weapon is now nearly six feet long it is deceptively elegant. It weighs enough that one could believe it to actually be made of iron were it not so razor sharp. Zak only wields the weapon through the blessing of Kalu’aita, her energy flows and grants him the strength to use it effectively.


While released his skin is very warm to the point of being uncomfortable to be in contact with and occasional wisps of smoke flow from his nostrils and mouth when he breathes. Before he never understood why this happened to him in his shikai state, now he knows it was Kalu’aita trying to burn through Iblis‘ corruption and now that she is free her fire burns intently.



The Devastation of Rage: (Ability) the primary ability of his Kai unleashes Zak's fury. This fury not only increases his battle strength but the more he invests in his anger the more difficult he becomes to stop. By burning 10% of his rei Zak enters bloodlust for five turns (at the end of which he may invest another 10% to maintain), 4 successful attacks in this state automatically raise the wound level his blows inflict by 1. (Any minor wounds are elevated to moderate.) six (6) more successful blows and his power continues to increase raising his base damage to a second lvl major wounds. His shikai caps at this stage though he will not fall below this level unless he stops investing rei into his rage. If he allows a phase to lapse he immediately ‘cools off’ dissipating his bonus instantly.

Tied to his growing strength is growing difficulty to keep him at bay. Zak is more difficult to bind or otherwise stop. Any bakudo or other attempts to bind the shinigami may be broken depending on his level of bloodlust. If Zak his risen 1 stage in damage he can spend rei equal to 75% the cost of the bakudo or strength of the binding to break it, if he had reached the second level that cost drops to 50%. (Bakudo that a player uses to shield him/herself works normally.)

Finally Zak becomes vaguely unaware of damage he receives in this state. This mirrors his damage level letting him treat minor (stage 1) and then moderate (2) wounds as a level less than they are. He still takes the appropriate damage, his sense of pain is dulled to the point that they do not affect him to the level they normally would.




bankai
Bankai: Lupus Titan por Ferrum (The Wolf Titan of Iron)



Form: The expression of Zakeriah's Bankai feels like a massive implosion with the fury of his power being sucked inward rather than exploding outward as with most releases. The sword thickens yet again more than doubling in width. The back of the blade becomes irregularly toothed and jagged two thirds of the way down the length from the base. The etchings have changed a final time and the two wolves are now feasting on their prey, the world. The circular hole near the base in now nearly as large as a fist and adorned with a large obsidian ring. There is still no proper guard but has become an irregular collection of metal and obsidian shards. The hanging wolf-head medallion is no longer flat but fully formed with blazing eyes.



At this stage Zak's eyes and throat are consumed by his energy and constantly glow and billows of smoke and reiatsu. His pupils are no longer visible and even when his teeth are clenched they appear as neon. His skin burns to the touch.



Absolution of Destruction: (Ability) This ability works just like Devastation in his shikai state; however, Zak now gains rage/strength more quickly and the strength he gains is more devastating. The cost has risen to 20% per five (5) turns and it now takes a single successful blow to get him to stage 1 and five (5) more to bring him to stage 2. If six (6) more blows occur after stage 2 Zak reaches a third stage of bloodlust making his assaults 'Deadly'. Zak ‘cools off’ more slowly in Bankai if he stops investing, losing one accumulated stage per turn.

Zak is now almost totally unaware of damage to his body able to practically ignore damage at his corresponding stages of Absolution. This is a dangerous state in which to exist because as long as his body can function he will keep moving. Once released from his rage the shock alone of severe damage he may have suffered could kill him.



Unstoppable Juggernaught: (Ability) His resistance to binding carries over but has become considerably more potent allowing him to expend 50%, 25%, and finally 0% to break though such impediments at his respective stages. In his Bankai state Zak's mind is more focused and fury allowing him to have similar resistance to illusions and other mind effecting spells.

(Again, opponents may shield themselves normally.)


Arch of Devastation: (Attack) Zak's most powerful burst attack requires that he have built his bloodlust fully up to the third tier to utilize. He swings his blade in a massive sweeping gesture creating explosive damage over a constrained area.

Zak burns 20% of his base rei, there is no evident energy release, simply everything within a roughly 10m span is devastated. Mundane objects crush from random directions and are thrown about, the earth cracks and heave, walls shatter. Anyone caught within the thunderous release can only describe the sensation as being trapped in a violent gravity well. Because there is no true directional release of the attack it can not be blocked as a standard energy assault, it can only be resisted.



Quell the Storm: (Ability) Zak burns rei like kindling in his Bankai state. Quell gives him the opportunity to recover some of that. At the end of a bloodlust cycle Zak can opt to Quell himself instead of continuing or simply stopping. *Quell instantly cools Zak of any acquired bonus from Absolution and is actually severely weakened to the point that he is best kept out of battle for the turn. If forced to fight he is sluggish and the best wound he can inflict is 'minor'. He also can not execute any abilities that require a reiatsu investment.

The bonus to quelling himself is that during that turn he recuperates 75% of the reiatsu he spent on the last Absolution phase. This is only the energy he spent on absolution and not any that he used for attacks or abilities. This only works for the most recent phase, it doesn't matter if Zak has raged for 15 turns straight (3 Absolution phases), this does not return 75% of all that reiatsu, only the most recent of the three. This also only works at the end of an Absolution Phase, Zak can not quell himself of he's already calmed himself afterward and he can not do a Quell in the middle of a phase. (Only one Quell may be used at the end of a phase, he can't maintain this effect for multiple turns to continue rejuvenating.)


(Note: I might wind up making some subtle appearance changes before I actually 'get' my new kai, but nothing major from what's described here.)

Awakening Submission

Initial Awakening

Name: Shroi Madoshi

Form: Kiyo's reiatsu envelopes her, taking on the appearance of white hooded robes.

Ability: Friendly Fire

When using a firearm, Kiyo can choose to fire out solidified segments of her Reiatsu instead of the normal ammunition. The Rei-bullet carries all the same properties as normal ammunition, but instead of dealing damage, it heals the target for an amount equal to the damage of the modified round.


Ability: Sanctuary
In addition to it’s healing capabilities, Shroi Madoshi allows Kiyoko to place a special barrier around one of her allies. The barrier itself resembles an interwoven framework of hexagonal panels that surround her designated target, covering them entirely. This shell acts as a buffer, dampening incoming attacks by 20% of Kiyoko’s Resonance. When an attack is absorbed by the barrier, she must pay Reiatsu equal to the damage negated. An attack lower than the value of the barrier is blocked outright, while an attack of higher value is merely weakened. Additionally, Sanctuary allows Kiyoko to siphon off the absorbed energy, returning one half of the damage it negates to her as Reiatsu.


Ability: Auspice
While awakened, Kiyo's Reiatsu becomes warm and comforting, like that of a comfortable little fire. At a cost of 5% Reiatsu per round for three rounds, Kiyo can allow her Reiatsu to bleed out of her to a range of 10m. All allies within the aura experience reduced pain from injuries, reduced fatigue, and improved focus. While in the abilities area of effect, Auspice will cleanse any negative effects or ailments from those within it's radius up to the total cost of the ability. As a minor effect, anyone affected by this has a strange unexplained taste of cinnamon on their tongue. While active, the area affected by Kiyo's arua is marked by a large rune centered on Kiyo.

Twings: Denied. This is better submitted after the AH rework tbqh, as one of the abilities uses a new mechanic most people don’t know about and if not for me and van Kai staff would have had 0 idea about this.

Breaking it down:

Ability one: As this reads its a rei transfusion not something to actually heal wounds, if thats what you want its fine. But if you actually wanted to fix wounds it needs to be reworked.

Ability two: As it stands its basicly a free barrier and you get ½ the rei back. Here are 2 options to replace it with both of which are fine:

You can raise minor to moderate only. Remove the second tier on all abilities. Also, pick two of these three abilities. They're too good for a 3 ability kai.

Bankai: Denied
Upgrading wounds to fatal = no.
Arch - Unblockable? No.
Quell - Getting that much rei back? No.

Ketchup: Denied. Kai staff feels like this is the epitome of swiss army kais. Ability one is a cool 1 ability kai concept, ability two is a generic shield, and ability three is a generic attack. That said there were some major wording issues overall so even then we can't approve this. In all honesty staff would love to see the last two abilities disappear so you can have a cool strong concept kai. This is just our opinion take it as you will.

Ability One: As it stands we had a hard time figuring out what exactly this did, it has a cool concept and can work but a lot of the other crude needs to be parsed out so this can really be cohesive and shine.

Ability Two: As it stands this is a generic shield with a very underwhelming heal. 5 turns is insanely long in most fights and during that time any number of other wounds will occur.

Ability Three: Generic fireball attack, but as it reads it could be considered a seeking attack(?)

Overall this kai needs some loving in rewording to make sure that the written portion is clear. If you want to take our advice and make this a single ability kai, contact myself, Pho, or Van to make sure it gets the love a single ability kai deserves.

Harbinger of Dusk​


Form
When in its full release, Harbinger elongates the hafts of bone to a total of nine feet, and another, opposite facing blade emerges from the other end of the haft from the first, both reaching 5’ in total length. Each has a sinister skull set across from the extending blade, while the connecting chains on both end of the pole arm now extend up to 30m.

Ability – Immortal Tyrant of Night
Touched by Theron’s soul, Harbinger has taken on to itself some of his own unique qualities. Expressed in his final release, for each 2% reiatsu that Theron gains through any means, a single wound of his choosing is reduced one category in severity. However, due to the strain on one's body and the limits of of regeneration, only three lethal wounds may be potentially healed.


Attack – To Cut Through Reality -5% reiatsu
With his final release expressed, Harbinger’s power grows magnified. By consuming 5% of Theron’s reiatsu, Both of the weapon’s heads may inflict 30% of his zanjutsu stat to all things they touch, save flesh, which is cut normally. This power leaves a distinctive noise behind the weapon’s motions, air rushing in to fill that which is destroyed in the blade’s wake.

Attack – Threads of Destiny’s End -1%
Taking some of Theron’s spiritual pressure for its own, Harbinger’s chains are able to be animated, each moving independently and taking unnatural angles, their movements controlled by his zanjutsu stat.

Attack – Reaper of Life - 2% of reiatsu
By imbuing the blade with a touch of his spiritual pressure, Theron is able to coax forth its core nature and reap from that which opposes him, in order to feed his own strength. For the remainder of the round, each thing the blade applies its cutting force to with spiritual pressure transfers up to 2% of Theron’s reiatsu from it back to him.

Vizard – Reaper of Souls – 6% rage, 3% emptiness
When tapping into the power of his hybrid nature, the touch of Habinger becomes yet more dangerous to his enemies. By draining 6% of his rage and generating 3% emptiness each round, Harbinger is able to harvest the power and efficacy from what it touches and bestow a portion of that vitality onto Theron. Each touch of the blade inflicts a 5% penalty to his opponents strongest combat statistic based on Theron’s zanjutsu, to a maximum of 20%, while adding 3% to Theron’s own zanjutsu, to a maximum of 15%.


Since V's have changed, changing my V part of the kai.

Vizard - Ability - Consume; 4% Rage a turn
To consume is the fundamental expression of Theron's hollow. In his bankai release, the closeness of his hollow when masked allows its presence to use a shadow of its former power on those unfortunate enough to be within10 meters of the hybrid. Costing 4% rage gain per round, the hollow will drain 2% of Theron's maximum rei from any spiritually dense living beings near by or reiatsu empowered creations that come into contact with himself or his scythe. (This cannot double up in one turn). If reiatsu is consumed, an equal amount of rage is pushed down.

Shikai

Tatsunokuchi (竜の口, Dragon-Headed Gargoyle)

Command Phrase: "Time to eat" (食べるべき時間, tabe rubeki jikan)

Inner World/Manifestation: The inner world in which Tatsunokuchi resides is an immensely vast world which consists of a several different concrete statues aligned in endless rows, each construct with a height around 50 feet. The statues are all different, crafted in the formed of grotesque gargoyles and Japanese dragons. The heads are large enough for Manzou to stand easily on and are close enough for him to bound from one to another. An immense statue that would dwarf even the largest modern skyscrapers is located in the center of this inner world and can be seen towering over those around it from nearly everywhere that Manzou appears. Manzou is always placed seemingly miles away from the largest statue at the center; this large statue acts of the manifestation of Tatsunokuchi. The large half-gargoyle, half-dragon statue speaks in a resounding voice that echoes off of the unperceivable walls of this inner world. He has not had any direct interaction with Tatsunokuchi other than this.

Form: Tatsunokuchi transforms into a large, double-edged cleaver-like sword that is nearly twice the height of Manzou himself; the blade is two meters long, making it longer than its wielder, while the handle is a meter long. There are two fangs at the top of the blade that curve inwards towards each other, one twice as long as the other. The crossguard is thick and sectioned with a symbol similar to the Yata-no-Kagami mirror etched several times around the middle. The handle is connected to a beveled piece beneath the crossguard and is wrapped in bandages with a small dragon-head statue as the pommel. The striking features of Tatsunokuchi’s shikai are the fanged mouth closer to the crossguard and the tongue that protrudes from it; these features do not appear once the shikai is released, instead coming forth when the appropriate ability is used or at Manzou's will. The mouth sits vertically on the flat side of the blade and is lined with fangs that can bite down on what comes within its reach. The sword is as heavy as it is large though Manzou can wield it with great proficiency.

  • Mizuma (水魔, Disastrous Flood): Viscous saliva with a profound stench that all but the user can bare can be released from the blade’s mouth, either spit out or secreted from the mouth’s tongue; both forms of release have a maximum range of 20 meters and costs Manzou 10% of his maximum reiatsu. Within the saliva are a countless number of microscopic parasites that seep instantly into the skin of the opponent upon contact and begin to feed on their insides. With each round that they continuously feed, they grow hundreds of times in size with the amount of flesh they consume increasing in proportion to their size; the maximum size in which that can grow is relatively the size of a large locust. These parasites not only consume the opponent’s flesh from the inside, but their reiatsu as well, the amount they consume equal to 10% of Manzō’s reiatsu. This amount of reiatsu is consumed after 3 consecutive rounds before they eat their way to the surface and die. They appear as a small undeveloped gargoyle with the head of a dragon. These dead organisms retain the reiatsu taken from the opponent as well as they reiatsu initially imbued in them by Manzō. This reiatsu can be absorbed through Manzō directly ingesting them or by the blade mouth ingesting them which is then transferred to Manzō.

Shikai: - Arashi

Release Phrase: Okiagaru, Arashi.

Appearance: While the zanpakutou remains the same, the air around its blade seems strangely condensed and certainly ominous to any heedful observer.

Ability: 暴悪 - Bouaku (Violence, Aggression)

By draining a constant 2% of Tetsuo’s total reiatsu per turn, Arashi creates a field of compressed air around its blade – in tandem with its name one could say that within such range a storm is raging incessantly. This field forms what can be defined as a ‘second’ blade encompassing the original one. It stretches itself by fifteen (15) inches to each side of the blade, and an additional fifteen (15) inches forward, adding a very interesting range to Tetsuo’s attacks.

Attack: 死滅Shimetsu (Destruction, Annihilation)

By paying an additional 5% of his current reiatsu, Tetsuo is able to extend the field surrounding Arashi to a maximum of thirty-two (32) feet, and perform a single action with the zanpakutou before the field retracts to its normal form.
 
Hi peeps, it's been a while. I edited the stuff as appstaff asked. I highlighted the changes as well as my own comments and what else needs to be addressed in red. Thanks for your help.

Also, I have a general question: when it says, Touru has to pay x% of her reiatsu, does that refer to her current or to her maximum reiatsu?

Attack: Time Step
When Touru uses the ability, she is enabled to take a step out of time. It can only be used for movements towards an opponent, not to flee or to attack. As soon as Touru attempts to, she steps back into time. Since the opponent remains within the grasp of time, he cannot even witness Touru disappearing, wondering where she may be. She just appears, as if she had always been there. One time step costs double the amount a flash step of the distance would have cost.

Attack: Time Triple
When Touru attacks, she may decide to put herself out of sync with the time stream. This way, Touru can approach the enemy from three angles at the same time. The time-line with the most successful hit then becomes reality, while the other two fade into nothing but unfulfilled possibility. One time triple costs 5% of Touru’s reiatsu. [5% is the old cost! Van said I need to make this more expensive, I don't know what would be appropriate though... so I just marked it here and hope for a suggestion by the appstaff. I changed the specifics of the attack (that only one hit connects) as requested.]

Attack: Time Focus
When she chooses to, Touru can cross the ominous gap between present and future and dip into the powers she will one day have. This way, she can cast a kidou-spell of greater strength than she is actually capable of. In technical terms, she pays 5% of her reiatsu to augment a kidou-spell by the same amount. [As Van said the last attack has to be taken out completely, we talked about a replacement. He said it would be possible for Touru to pay a certain amount of rei to make a kidou a certain amount stronger. I'm afraid the conversation has been a while ago, so sorry if the cost I gave is wrong. I don't remember if it was 5% or 15%. I hope appstaff can help? Also, don't mind the flowery time-related description, all the attack really does is written in the technical part of the description. I just felt like I needed to stick with the time theme and make up a reason why a time kai would help Touru make her own kidou spells stronger]

RESUB!!!

Okay, I think I've revised the kai to something acceptable. I'm keeping the berserker fury mechanic with Bankai only but it doesn't raise the damage lvl, instead escalating a simple secondary effect that can be defeated by someone good enough. You didn't poo poo the bakudo breaker so I kept that the same based on lvls of fury. I changed the wording of the Arc of Devastation so that it doesn't read 'unblockable' and I completely eliminated Quell, replacing it with with an ability to recall his weapon.

Sealed/Manifestations
Sealed:

Zak's blade looks much as it always did though it has gained a significant curve to the blade creating a crescent shape for the weapon. The blade itself is brightly polished and the once very light swirls are now deeply etched and readily apparent on the length of the blade creating an abstract image of a wolf prowling. The hilt remains wrapped in soft crimson leather though it is now capped with an obsidian head. The slender chain remains dangling though it now ends with a wolf’s head of obsidian rock. The most noticeable change to the blade is a small circular hole near the base of the blade about the size of a silver dollar and the weapon has lost its guard. The scabbard is become crimson red with obsidian filigree reprinting wolves devouring the world much in the vein of old ideas of Fenrir from Norse mythology.

Reiatsu: Now pure, Zak's rei burns a brilliant silver with aqua accents, in full bloom it creates an almost liquid metal effect.

Spirit/ Manifestation: His new spirit is a great wolf naming itself Kalu’aita. It is a great silver hound so large that it’s muzzle is level with Zak’s. While it’s voice is somewhat androgynous but the beast seems more female. The wolf’s coat glows subtly with power and definite heat radiates from her. When she speaks her voice is accentuated by growls as if her natural wolf speech is being overlaid with language Zak can understand. Occasionally he will see a pack of wolves in representation of the other souls within him but Kalu’aita is the only one that speaks they are always dark colors.

Inner World: Zak’s inner world is still the great tower in the endless desert but after climbing the tower to rediscover his lost memories and the purpose of his creation, he has reached the heart of the massive structure. This room’s walls are exploded outward into great chunks that hover in the air while the upper levels of the tower hover above, currently unreachable. The ‘heart‘ that Zak and Kalu’aita inhabit is a great stone floor of seven concentric circles expanding out from a silver flame in the center. Lava of a sort spills from the flame and runs along the groves of the circles. Around the room, near the missing walls, are four obsidian obelisks. The flames burn within these but more dully, waiting to be fully awakened.


Shikai


Shikai: furor exuro (Burning Rage)



Release Command: "Kalu’aita free my soul, channel my rage, and cast it as fire fire upon this battlefield.”

Appearance: Kalu’aita lengthens its blade to nearly four and a half feet and the hilt becomes just under two feet in length. The blade thickens slightly but remains slender, not thicker than a man’s forearm. The point of the weapon becomes more pronounced and defined. The brilliant shine of the sealed blade becomes replaced by the look of iron though the etching on the body remains bright and stands out powerfully flashing sometimes with silver energy. There is now a second wolf visible and neither are prowling, but caught in pursuit of something yet unseen. The weapon remains without a guard and the hilt is still wrapped in the same leather though the wolf’s head ornament is now dangling from the point at which blade and hilt meet. While the weapon is now nearly six feet long it is deceptively elegant. It weighs enough that one could believe it to actually be made of iron were it not so razor sharp. Zak only wields the weapon through the blessing of Kalu’aita, her energy flows and grants him the strength to use it effectively. While finally free of his chains his blade remains attached to him by tendrils of the silvery blue reiatsu periodically dance from the blade’s etchings connecting to the scarification symbols carved into his arms. This energy works just like his old chain, Zak can not wield the weapon by this but uses it to remove (or sheath) the weapon from his back or retrieve it from short distances.

The weapon’s sheath moves to his back and adjusts in size to be able to hold the weapon if needed.

While released his skin is very warm to the point of being uncomfortable to be in contact with and occasional wisps of smoke flow from his nostrils and mouth when he breathes. Before he never understood why this happened to him in his shikai state, now he knows it was Kalu’aita trying to burn through Iblis‘ corruption and now that she is free her fire burns intently.


Touch of Destruction: (Attack) Touch creates the effect of a double assault from Zak's blade. This is not an energy assault but instead creates a cutting and impact effect exactly as though a second blade impacts on the same spot a few moments later. Contact must have been made for this power to activate and while the attack does not project, and enemy who is knocked away by the initial assault will still suffer the second even if they are yards away when it hits. Blocking can be confusing as the first blow strikes and potentially disrupts balance or stance and the second impact occurs at the same spot on the blade but while the opponent is off balance. The power is passive in that it automatically engages every time the Templar's blade connects; however, it does draw 5% of rei with each activation.

Anyone with a very heightened/ sensitive to energies can perceive the phantom blade. An afterimage, always a different person, wielding the same blade and striking. This is a representation of his chimeraian nature and the other souls bolstering his attack.

Unyielding Force: (ability) The engine of fury is just starting to burn, with it comes an unstoppable press forward coupled with a building disregard to everything other than killing his opponent including his own peril. With this power in play is difficult to bind or halt, if any bakudo or other binding ability is used against him Zak need only spend half the rei used to fuel the spell to break free.



bankai
Bankai: Lupus Titan por Ferrum (The Wolf Titan of Iron)



Form: The expression of Zakeriah's Bankai feels like a massive implosion with the fury of his power being sucked inward rather than exploding outward as with most releases. The sword thickens yet again more than doubling in width. The back of the blade becomes irregularly toothed and jagged two thirds of the way down the length from the base. The etchings have changed a final time and the two wolves are now feasting on their prey, the world. The circular hole near the base in now nearly as large as a fist and adorned with a large obsidian ring. There is still no proper guard but has become an irregular collection of heavy lead chains and obsidian shards. The hanging wolf-head medallion is no longer flat but fully formed with blazing eyes. The energy tendrils now constantly flow from the blade and dance along his arms.


At this stage Zak's eyes and throat are consumed by his energy and constantly glow with billows of smoky reiatsu billowing forth. His pupils are no longer visible and even when his teeth are clenched they appear as neon. His skin burns to the touch.



Absolution of Destruction: (Attack) The direct upgrade of Touch. Zak gains more control along with more fury to be unleashed. The phantom attack is no longer automatic instead Zak activates it in stages. He must transverse each stage to activate the next as well as spend each respective stage in some sort of combat. With each level his fury grows as does the difficulty to stop or control him. Zak may not necessarily begin attacking allies, but getting between him and his opponent (especially at stage 3) would not be wise.

Stage 1: 5% Rei activates the same effect as Touch for three (3) turns. The only difference is the second blow now comes from a random direction and angle though it impacts the same general area. At this stage the tendrils of power begin to dance away from him and strike the area around him (this is aesthetic only, no combat value).

Stage 2: 10% Again lasts three (3) turns. There is now a second phantom assault follows the first. The assaults now can hit randomly over a much broader area such as anywhere along the same side of the target. The phantom assaults now come with greater force that can send most opponents stumbling several yards. The lightening like energy also begins to flash through the whole of his body sometimes illuminating parts of his skeleton like an x-ray.

Stage 3: 20% five (5) turns. 3 Phantom assaults now occur, one after another, each with enough concussive force to crater the world around their target. The most significant change is that the blades can now strike the opponent from any angle and any location. At the maximum tier his whole body appears to smoke and the lightening storm continues. Those willing to stand the heat of standing so close to Zakeriah while in his third stage of fury might even hear thunder rumbling through the cloud.

Unstoppable Juggernaught: (Ability) His resistance to binding carries over but has become considerably more potent as his engine is stoked to full intensity allowing him to expend 50%, 25%, and finally 0% to break though such impediments at his respective berserker stages. In his Bankai state Zak's mind is so consumed by fire and fury this resistance now carries over to illusions and other mind effecting spells.



Arch of Devastation: (Attack) Zak's most powerful burst attack requires that he have built his Absolution fully up to the third stage to utilize. He swings his blade in a massive sweeping gesture creating explosive damage over a constrained area.

 Zak burns 15% of his base rei, similar to the phantom assaults there is no evident energy release, simply everything within a roughly 10m span is devastated. Mundane objects crush from random directions and are thrown about, the earth cracks and heave, walls shatter. Anyone caught within the thunderous release can only describe the sensation as being bombarded by a violent gravity well.


Recall: (Ability) A deceptively mundane ability Zak can spend 5% of his rei to call his weapon to him from anywhere within standard Bankai range. His energy arcs away from him like a bolt and snatches the weapon from where it may lay. It takes the shortest path back to the Templar’s hand, smashing through whatever might be between the two. The sword travels with considerable speed and force but he can exert no control over the blade save that it might change course to get around something it can not break through.
