Feat/Tech Submission Thread

104k + nexus or no, we has problemo.

So, at first glance of this beast, I think to myself, "This is not right...." And on that rare ocassion where my gut and my head agree on something, I have to follow it.

If we break this down and strip away all the fluff, you and Raph pay 5% rei each. A goodly amount given your levels, and for that much it's understandable you want every bang for your buck. Sadly, this does too much. After a quick word with Will I rediscovered the fact that FA need to be written up more like techs, and less like feats or release abilities. There is a limited number of times you can use this, already written up in the FA table, and having it last 4 rounds is asking a lot when you add the fact that you cause multiple physical and psychological malfunctions to an enemy.

The first thing you guys need to decide on, is if this will be an AoE or single target. After that limit the conditions you slap on people. Hallucinations, suffocation, trippin'-balls, and savage attacking? Not today, sorry guys.

[Skill Focus]

A character has invested himself into the mastery of a particular skill and his style has begun to reflect it. As a passive bonus, he may add 5% to a single combat stat. This bonus does not stack with other bonuses. The 5% may not be added to reiatsu or similar stats. This feat may be taken more than once, but it must modify a new stat every time. This applies during combat only, so thusly no extra spell slots are gained if this feat is applied to a casting stat.

Furthermore, when equipped to a stat, their ability to break through even the strongest barriers is augmented. A character equipped with this feat increases the damage of physical attacks against barriers or similar numbered defenses to 20% of their attacking stat as damage per round.

Requirements: 1,000 points in the stat to be modified.

[Spell Diversity]

A character is naturally talented in the casting of spells. As a passive benefit from equipping this feat, a character gets 9 extra spell slots for kidou or 3 extra tubes for Ginkaihou.

--I feel as if we should get rid of the level requirements, since not many people equip this anyway at 300 Kidou.

[Offensive Shift]

A character's fighting style is offensive in nature and his physical attacks are fiercer and more difficult to defend. As a price for this, his defense against attacks are lessened slightly.

Zanjutsu/Hakuda/Combat/Power are effectively increased by 5% when attacking.. This bonus stacks. Furthermore, when attacking, the damage of their basic physical attacks is increased by 10%.

Requirements: 500 in Zanjutsu, Hakuda, Combat or Chakudan

[Defensive Shift]

A character's fighting style is defensive in nature and his physical attacks are more reserved. Because of this, his defense is augmented while his attack capacity suffers.

Zanjutsu/Hakuda/Combat/Power are effectively increased by 5% when defending. This bonus stacks.

For physical blocks, their defensive skill with their weapon is valued 10% higher during that time.

Requirements: 500 in Zanjutsu, Hakuda, Combat or Chakudan

[Spell Shape]

A shinigami or vizard using this tech has trained extensively with kidou has learned how to harness the arcane arts and deftly manipulate the form of the abilities, such as manipulating the shape of a barrier kidou.

Spells modified in such a manner cost 25% more than their counterparts to account for the extra concentration that must go into the creation of the spell.

A main use of this skill is on large area of effect abilities. A caster can create a safe area for one ally at the base requirement of 2000 Kidou, but can protect an additional ally every additional 1000 Kidou to a maximum of five allies.

When activating this ability, they are also able to curve the path of projectile kidou in the air, allowing the path to bend to a maximum of 60 degrees. The increase in cost does not increase the damage or durability of the spell.

Requirements: 2,000 Kidou

[Permanent Release]

Equipping this feat leaves the user constantly in his released state. The form change and reiatsu boost from being in shikai remain constantly. As a consequence of this, the user is unable to make use of any sort of methods to conceal his reiatsu. Even through this drawback, their increased connection with their zanpaktou allows them to gain a larger reiatsu boost while the shikai is active. This modifies the reiatsu boost they get in shikai to 15% from 10% and 25% from 20% once they achieve Bankai.

Requirements: Shikai, 5,000 reiatsu

[Adept]

While some characters focus on combat, defense or agility, some focus on the wielding of various items. Any character equipped with this feat increase the effectiveness of their general items by 5%. Demonstrating a propensity with items, the user also gets a personal reduction of the prices of items they wish to purchase. This lowers the cost of division items by 15%.

Requirements: Advent Human

Time to fill up a standard feat slot that I earned in some PM's some time ago...y'know...the Tokyo ones...yeah, those ones...

[Cero Iluvia]

Trained Feat - A powerful technique based on the infamous destructive hollow attack, it was developed by Shukumei during rigorous training in Hueco Mundo. Rather than gathering up the energy for the attack and launching it in a single concentrated beam, the power splits into dozens of basketball sized orbs that surround the vizard and fire themselves in the same direction separately, as miniature versions of the original attack. The level of control for the ability is difficult to attain however, and it costs 10% of the user's rei on top of the average 20% rage increase for the cero.

Requirements:
5,000 reiatsu, Vizard

Common Feat for Advent Humans:

[ Jinsei :: Instinct ]
[ Common Feat :: Advent Human ]

Trusting in their primal reflexes which serve them so well in combat, an Advent Human is capable of overriding their body's natural limits on a temporary basis as their forms become more laden with reiryoku. Once an Advent Human has reached 25% Resonance, they are capable of paying out their Resonance in increments of 5%. Once activated, this instinctive state ceases all base techniques from stacking to the individual's thresholds for the round of activation. Paying in further increments increases the duration of the feat.

Requirements: 1000 in every Advent Human stat (Combat, Agility, Fortitude)

Jinsei - Approved with Changes

The low resonance cost can really be abused since past like 50%, 5% drops don’t really have much of an effect except delay overdrive. Plus, if you’re activating this, you’re probably going to be using a shitton of techs anyway, which will pass the cost. Add a cooldown of 4 turns between uses.

Iluvia – Resubmit

So, Hare and I are having a problem trying to picture how this attack works. Is it like making the beam of Cero a bunch of spheres that still fly in the same direction? Or does the user get the ability to control how each sphere fires? These would still travel at the same speed of normal Cero. Add more description in the feat on how exactly the cero fires, so we can picture it better.

Attempt Two!

[Cero Iluvia]

Trained Feat - A powerful technique based on the infamous destructive hollow attack, it was developed by Shukumei during rigorous training in Hueco Mundo. Rather than gathering up the energy for the attack and launching it in a single concentrated beam, the power splits into twenty basketball-sized orbs that surround the vizard and fire themselves in the same direction, as miniature versions of the original attack. The orbs can only be fired in the same direction and cannot be controlled individually, and they travel at the same speed as a standard cero, but since the power is split between each orb, none of them contain the destructive force of a regular version of the hollow energy blast.

The level of control for this ability is difficult to attain however, and it costs 10% of the user's rei on top of the average 20% rage increase for the cero.

5,000 reiatsu, Vizard

Name: [Kone tame Kiregire] - Pulled to Pieces
Acquisition: FA Tech - Lilith & Haresuno (liek a baws)

Description:
True terror can not be manufactured, or synthesized, and therefore cannot be effective unless a person has something worth fearing. Those who have stood before the might of Haresuno or Lilith can vouche for their individual prowess. Those who have stood beneath their combined power have marvelled. Those who have laid down under their fate at the hands of these two know of absolute terror.

The two friends, allies, and rivals have cultivated an immense understanding of their own inner workings, and simultaneously each other’s which has culminated in the generation of this technique. To this end, when both have unleashed the mighty power of their ban kai, strengthened levels of understanding are brought before the two.

When each pays 5% reiatsu a pointed star, composed of Lilith’s and Haresuno’s ambient white and orchid reiatsu, begins forming beneath the target’s feet. At that moment, Haresuno sends out five rods of Seikiryoku Houshiki Xiezhi and attaches one to each limb of his enemy, including their head. Lilith adds her own Feng Huo Lun that are temporarily broken in half as they float in the spaces between each rod.

With these weapons surrounding the enemy, the target is suspended off the ground and rotated horizontally, parallel to the Earth. The natural qualities of Haresuno’s kai are initiated and dispersed to Lilith’s feng huo lun. These weapons pull the enemy outwards from every direction with powerful magnetic force. Meanwhile, each weapon has also been laced with the emotional qualities of Lilith’s bankai. Thus, as the opponent is physically pulled apart and stretched to the thresholds of their anatomical fibers, their mind is raided by a series of emotional trauma, causing a whirlwind of memories that emotionally rips apart their mind. This Fated Alliance technique serves as a physical and mental torture device that pulls their opponent to pieces.

Twice per battle this power can be used.

Pulled To Pieces – Resubmit

A few things I want clarified on this one. How long would this end up lasting? Is it like a 2 turn binding or does it stay in place until they manage to break out. I would prefer a turn limit because if they’re stuck in this, they’re not getting out by themselves. Also, just as a heads up, the way you’ve written this, it works as a binding. That means you’re going to be subject to all the binding rules available.

Also get rid of the last sentence. The number of uses in FA is decided by the WC you have and is described in the tech.

Lasts two turns. Subject to binding. Last sentence removed.

Tamashii no Kizuna [Bond of Souls]

Unique Feat (Bankai)

Built upon the principles of Hagane no Kizuna, Bond of Souls allows Adelaide to lay kidou into her blade. The kidou that become bonded upon Lashiel in the manner they once did by Hagane no Kizuna no longer are cast more efficiently. Instead, they require one less (minimum one unless specified otherwise by the kidou in question) than the number of kidou slots normally required. There is no other enhancement to these kidou afforded by Tamashii no Kizuna. For every thousand Kidou Adelaide has, she gains an additional slot to a maximum of fifteen slots. If Adelaide is not in possession of Lashiel, she loses access to the bonded kidou. Because it operates on the principles of Hagane no Kizuna, Tamashii no Kizuna cannot be used concurrently with Hagane no Kizuna.

'sup

[– Shinsekinenshou – “Immersion Burning” –]
[– Feat Rarity –] Unique
[– Feat Rank –] Bankai Slot

[– Feat Physical Description –]
Due to Nana’s reiatsu having grown to such immense proportions in a relatively short time it has started to mingle itself with the woman’s mindset, and is being complemented by the vice-captain’s new release. Because of this understanding, the knowledge behind Nana’s actions, her reiatsu has now taken on a scorching hot-red appearance when released.

[– Feat Abilities –]
Shinsekinenshou; Shounetsujigoku (しんせきねんしょう, しょうねつじごく, Immersion Burning; Burning Hell): True to its name, Nana's reiatsu is hot to the touch and brings forth an immersive burning ability wherever the Amaterasu heir goes, this includes scorching the very ground she walks upon with every waking step. Because of this, whenever Nana actively exerts her spiritual prowess, everything within a 12m diameter gets affected by the young noblewoman's scorching reiatsu.

When it is 'active' her entire body becomes flaming hot to the touch and gains the improbable ability to burn non-reiatsu fueled objects and mundane things with a mere physical touch.

As it is being exerted, the vice-captain's reiatsu passively drains 1% of her reiatsu every turn to fuel the heat.

In light of this new, immense spiritual exertion, her reiatsu tends to just float about, burning everything it comes across and while that is nice it is not always practical. As a result, the vice-captain of the Third has learned how to harness this excess spiritual pressure and condense it into the form of a wingless, fire-wyvern.

While in this condensed state, her reiatsu spirals around her and is telepathically controlled by mere thoughts, although Nana can opt to user her arms for better control.
When this wyvern hits something physical, or when Nana detonates it manually, her condensed reiatsu explodes into a massive burst of scorching-hot reiatsu, burning everything it comes in contact with.

This ability costs 15% of Nana's base reiatsu to instigate and has a durability of three turns before it needs to be detonated, lest it dissipates back into the air.

For more obvious reasons, Nana can make a conscious effort not to burn anything at all if she so desires.

- Can’t believe I have to put this down, but whatever - darn you Zack!

Viz techs like 3 months later...

[Shingai] - “Terrify”
Vizards are known to dominate the battlefield with their presence; their very reiatsu can strike fear into the hearts of those that stand against them. By spending 3% reiatsu, the user’s eyes being to go pale, almost bleaching into white. Any souls unfortunate enough to wander within 5 meters are immediately subject to an irrational fear of the vizard, relative to their reiatsu. For those who are less than half of the vizard’s reiatsu, they are stricken with terror and can only attack every other round. For those of relative strength (between 51-199%), they are badly shaken and can only attack every two out of three rounds. Those double or more strength are able to almost withstand the assault and can attack three out of every four rounds. To keep this aura active, the practitioner must generate 5% rage per turn and can only sustain it for 3 rounds plus 1 additional round for each 3k reiatsu attained.

[Akumashugi] - “Devil Worship”
Cast adrift from Soul Society many vizards have found themselves going from the hunters to the hunted. This anger and confusion has welled up in many divided souls manifesting itself as an aura projected onto other Hollow-kind. Rather than strictly an enemy, Call of the Exiled allows the vizard to start on neutral territory as a member of the hollow-kind’s race. This allows communication between any hollow races even those normally deemed as too stupid to talk. However, the privilege is limited to how receptive the hollow is. This doesn’t mean that a vizard isn’t willing to take an advantage when it's presented to them. On exceptionally weak hollows, those under 500 reiatsu, a vizard is able to exert their force upon the being bringing them under the vizard’s sway relative to the difference between the vizard and the hollow. initially only 1 hollow may be under the vizard’s influence with another for every 10k reiatsu the vizard possesses.

[Fuzenodaku] - "Wicked Corruption"
Vizards by their very nature must maintain a balance between their own soul and that of their inner Hollow. Still, there are some exceptionally skilled individuals who have been able to push the boundaries when mediating between their Hollow's will and their own. By willingly allowing a degree of corruption by their inner Hollow, those trained in Fuzenodaku can momentarily augment their bodies with the power of their Hollowkin -- capable of spawning Hollow-like appendages from their bodies up to a total of two meters in size. Each use of Fuzenodaku costs the user 5% of their Reiatsu and generates 5% Rage.

[Korusumoui] - “Devouring Fury”
Adapted as a way to harness an inner hollow’s growing rage and use it to maintain some semblance of control over their body, Korusumoui allows a vizard to forcibly remove a small portion of their rage upon successfully hitting a target. By paying 2% reiatsu a successful hit with an attack or ability causes a vizard to vent 1% of their stored up Rage.

Tamashii no Kizuna [Bond of Souls] - Denied. Why? Well upfront the bit about Hagane no Kizuna is unnecessary if you've moved to the 10th. After that there's the problem that this feat not only wants to reduce the amount of kidou slots kidou take up, but it also wants to give you 15 extra spell slots. Even with the nice little bit in there about the spells being bonded to a sword, how often are characters really without their main weapon of choice? This feat needs to decide whether its going to be about giving kidou slots or reducing kidou slots.

Immersion Burning - Deni- Oh dear god GO TO A DOCTOR! Haha just kidding. But seriously, Approved w/ changes! First of all you don't need to have a constant drain on your rei just for going around and giving people the hot glares, so that's pretty unneeded. Drop the 15% to 10% and add in that the wyvren lasts 2 rounds and you're golden.

Terrify - Approved w/ Changes below!

Urashimaha [Wave of Time Dilation]

Unique Feat (Bankai)

From her prolonged exposure to the remnants of Ishin’s bankai attempting to make them a workable shield, Adelaide has been affected by the power of the prisoner Captain’s reiatsu. Though Urashimaha, the normally quite weak force of gravity now being exerted by Adelaide’s reiatsu grows dramatically stronger. Adelaide can pay 3% of her reiatsu per turn to slow the world around her based on the cost of sustaining the field. Though Adelaide doesn’t have conscious control over this ability’s activation (the ability can manifest spontaneously at any time it normally could do so, or be purpousfully activated), she can control who it affects, able to pay 2% to exclude one person for the effect, and can do this for up to two people. The cost to liberate someone from the time dilation effect does not count to determining the strength of the time dilation field itself.

Feat Name: Feeding the Beast

Feat Type: Trained

Feat Description: Going to Hueco Mundo taught Tod a few things about hollows, including a hollow’s natural regeneration. He learned how to link Hollow Resiliency with it to keep himself alive even when serious wounds were dealt to him in Hueco Mundo. By gaining 5% rage a vizard can heal the wounds given to them in battle per turn of healing activated. Minor wounds are ignored, like in Hollow Resiliency, moderate wounds are healed in 3 turns and severe wounds are healed in 5.

Requirements: Vizard, 5000 Reiatsu, Hollow Resiliency.

This fills one of my 2 PM trained feat slots.

[Shinkaronsha ] - “Evolutionist”
Type: Trained
Trained warriors speak of the moment they enter battle. They speak of the emotion, the awareness, the intuition suddenly granted to them by pure survival instinct. Advent humans fight with their body and spirit as one. As such, they have an attunement to battle which is much stronger than many races. When they fight, they are forced to devote both their mind and body to the challenge at hand. In a manner similar to the Pulse technique, Advents who truly devote themselves 100% to a fight gain a manner of intuition rivaled by the most honed of warriors.

While Shinkaronsha is active, the Advent continuously emits pulses of energy which engulfs the area of 20 meters around the Advent. Slight changes in motion, the movement of the opponent’s stance, even the falling of a single leaf will trip their senses, allowing them to actually examine its motion. While this increases the Advent’s ability to identify oncoming attacks, it does not physically affect their ability to prevent said attack. To remain active, the Advent must pay 2% of their reiatsu per turn.
Requirements: 5,000 Combat, 5,000 Agility

Derp
[ Myaku ] - "Pulse"

As an Advent Human’s body is infused with spiritual energy and strengthened, their ability to perceive spiritual phenomena is also greatly enhanced. While most Advents can detect Reiatsu even while in a dormant state, true mastery of this skill is a different matter entirely. An Advent of sufficient skill can send out an omnidirectional pulse of Reiatsu in their immediate area. This wave of energy functions much like sonar, briefly giving the user a clear picture of their surroundings and any entities in the techniques area of effect. While at its most basic level Myaku can only cover a radius equal to roughly ten meters, the range of the ability may be bolstered by expending Resonance at a rate of 5% per ten meters.

Requirements: 5,000 Reiatsu, Minimum 10% Resonance

Slot from da Bankai.

Feat Name
Shoushinjisatsu (焼身自殺, Suicide by Fire)

Feat Type
Unique

Description
The contention between the malevolent blade spirit, Tatsunokuchi, and its wielder has barred the Third Seat from fully harnessing his Bankai. On numerous occasions, Manzou has been harmed more than helped by his spiritual companion and, after countless times of being scalded and robbed by the consumptive pitch-black flames of his blade spirit’s manifestation, he has learned to use this fire to his advantage. At his will, the ‘Herald may spawn these black flames along his every inch; on the outside looking in, he will appear as a pitch-black void with a flaming human silhouette. While these flames are harmless for others to touch and seem to have little to no effect on anything whatsoever, the purpose of this technique lies beneath the raging obsidian cloak. By paying 5% Reiatsu per round, a steady healing process begins on all wounds incurred before and after the activation of Shoushinjisatsu; minor wounds are healed in 1 round, moderate wounds healed in 3 rounds, and severe wounds are healed in 5 rounds. Manzou can only use this technique for a maximum of 5 rounds and, after the technique is de-activated, there is a 3-round cooldown period before he can use it again.

[Koumajutsu - “Invocation of the Demon”]

Type:
Fated Alliance
Users:
Hisao Adachi and Ciro Martelli

Oddly enough, even the weirdest pairings can end up working. Somehow the ravings of a centuries old man seem to work well with the delusions of a mortal. Sometimes when the two mix, a spark of insight flickers to life.

Having weathered through a multitude of situations ranging from hollowfication, crisis points and even the possibility of war, Ciro Martelli and Hisao Adachi have created a level of trust to strike back at those who oppose them. In a testament to their true strength the two are able to combine their powers to create a monument to their strength.

By paying 8% of his reiatsu, Ciro can construct a massive relic of a material of his choice with his ability to create. The relic takes the form of an enormous demon, standing a few stories tall. Even materials that are not solid are held together in the corrupt form. While the appearance of each statue changes, the fear felt by their opponents is always constant.

Next, Hisao pays 5% of his reiatsu as well as the full cost of a kidou spell of his choice which he can imbue into the construct. At any point in the next two turns, Hisao can activate the spell stored inside, releasing it an catalyzing it with the materials the statue is made out of. The destructive potential and damage of the ability is based on the kidou and the reiatsu that both Ciro and Hisao have paid in.
