Diapasão (Tuning Fork)
Sealed - Like its wielder, Satoru’s zanpaktou is rather straightforward. It is an odd size, being around the size and proportion of a tanto with a royal purple wrapping over the well-polished silver of his hilt. The blade is an odd grey that matches his eyes. Both are notable for their strange and mesmerizing glint. The tsuba is engraved with patterns similar to that of a circuit board.
Release Phrase:
Emitir (Transmit)
Spirit: Diapasão takes the form of a large crimson bat. He is always seen soaring about with a pair of thick headphones around his neck identical to Satoru’s aside from their golden color. Due to the standard black and blue coloration of Satoru's inner world, he's not very difficult to spot. The spirit has a series of intricate lines inscribed among his back similar to those found in Satoru’s inner world. When speaking, he has a voice so low that it ripples through the very core of his surroundings.Diapasão is not a liar but he has a habit of answering questions in a very vague manner, much to the irritation of his owner.
World: Satoru’s inner world appears to be entirely computer generated. It is much like a crowded city in its design, what with the giant skyscrapers and closely-packed structures, every surface is black with lines of a light blue hue that provide the light of the world. The world has no sun; instead, it is lit entirely by the structures themselves. Because of this, the sky is always black.
Form: Diapasão begins as a simple but intricately designed staff around six feet long. When initially released, Satoru’s blade shatters into pixels and reforms into a six foot long staff with the glossy sheen of obsidian and intricate blue lines running across its form. Its most obvious visible feature is the single tuning fork on its end. While in shikai, the area thrums with an ambient humming sound like that of a powerful machine.
Ability: Em Sintonia (In Tune)
Due to Diapasão's unique manipulation of sound and frequency, it has the ability to receive and transmit certain frequencies including those associated with the gamma waves produced by the brain. By paying 1% of his reiatsu per turn, Satoru can transmit waves that match the brain waves of any creature he chooses in order to open a channel of communication with them. When used on a humanoid creature (Shini, AH, Vizard, Hollow, etc), Satoru can transmit messages and music to them without the need for speech. In animals, he can exert some control over their actions due their primitive mental structure. This ability's range is 20 meters. He can establish a connection with a maximum of two beings with another connection gained per 4000 reiatsu for a maximum of 8 connections.
Ability: Ouça-me! (Listen to Me!)
The second allows him to convert his thoughts (and any music playing in his mind) into sound. This can happen in one of two ways, but never both at the same time. The sound is projected from in between the prongs of his tuning fork, essentially turning it into a giant megaphone with a maximum 30 meter radius. He can control the level of volume mentally, going from simply boosting his voice to shouting across the battlefield. In this format, it requires 100 reiatsu per turn. When he amps it up by paying 500 reiatsu per turn, Satoru’s thoughts instead become condensed into powerful vibrations stored within Diapasão. If an opponent is comes into contact with Diapasão in this state, whatever Satoru is thinking about at that moment will be conveyed to them as an incredibly loud shout directly into their minds. Once affected, the only sound they can hear is that of Satoru’s voice. Each instance lasts for two turns, which can stack for a maximum effect of four turns.
Attack: O Lançador de Baixo (The Bass Cannon)
For 15% of his reiatsu, Satoru releases a concussive cone of reiatsu around 15 meters in length and 2 meters wide that is composed of reishi, Satoru’s thoughts, and highly focused sound waves. Anyone or anything caught in this devastating sonic blast is thrown backwards and faces being shattered by the intense waves. Opponents become highly disoriented and find concentration difficult due to the distinct sound patterns utilized by O Lançador de Baixo. Any subsequent techniques utilized by the opponent will have their effectiveness reduced by the amount paid into this attack and any technique that costs less than it becomes completely negated. This is treated as a pool equal to the amount of rei used by O Lançador de Baixo from which abilities are drained and has no bearing on the rank of techniques like Kidou.
